Some pluses and minuses
Our stay started off on the wrong foot: while we loved the bay view from our room, the faucet handle in the bathroom sink was loose (eventually coming off altogether) and we could only get cold water, the shower water ran alternating hot to cold without warning, and the room heater kept blowing cold air no matter what temperature we set it at. On our first night, my husband caught a cold from having the fan vent blow directly at him all night. We reported this the following morning and the hotel was quick to apologize and to upgrade us to a corner room which we appreciated. The new room was much better although the vent still blew directly at one side of the bed - but at least we could control the heat! The shower water was hard to regulate, going from hot to luke warm suddenly, and then back again to hot. The hotel building is older which may explain the plumbing and heating problems. On the positive side, the staff were all friendly and professional, from the front desk to the bellhop to room service and housekeeping to the parking attendants out front.

Great location but mediocre experience
Front desk staff was pleasant at check in, but I got to my room and the door was ajar - one upper door lock was left out so the door wouldn’t latch. Assuming this was during cleaning but it made me a bit skeptical. Ordered breakfast room service the next morning and there were no eggs in the dish, even though they were part of the dish and I’d been asked how I wanted them cooked, and when I asked the concierge/front desk staff for a dinner recommendation they didn’t give me one. Just said it would be hard to find a place to eat that was open at 5:30pm on a Sunday. Walked up the street and found several delightful restaurants so I’m not sure why they felt there was nothing to recommend.

We stayed in a club level room and enjoyed both the evening and morning snacks. The lounge is pleasant, the staff super friendly, and the food good.
It was very nice to be able to leave our car parked until 6 the next evening!

The wife and I stayed here for one night several weeks ago for her birthday. It was super last minute and I think I booked the room the night before. Most of the hotels in the area were pretty pricey of course since it was super last minute that I was booking. I found this place and it was reasonable compared to the other options, so I decided to go with this one. First off the location is perfect, it's located in the heart of downtown with a lot of attractions within walking distance. I gotta say I was not expecting such a nice hotel for the price we paid. We've stayed at fair amount of hotels and this one is definitely one our favorites.
The valet and check in staff were super nice and welcoming. We decided to valet since I did not feel like parking down the block or having to search for somewhere decent to park. The check in was a breeze and the staff made sure we had everything to make our stay special.
We had a king size bed room which was fabulous. The room was nice and spacious. The bathroom also very nice, clean, and spacious. We were on the 8th floor I believe with a nice views of downtown. One thing that did catch me off guard for a hotel being in Seattle was the Bible in the room. At check out I inquired about that since I thought that was awesome. The lady said all the rooms have them. Gotta love a business especially a large corporation like Hyatt that still honors the Lord. Grand Hyatt definitely will have my business in the future.

Helpful friendly staff
The front desk and bellmen were very helpful. We were able to borrow umbrellas as it was raining outside. We also stored our luggage for the day after we checked out as we had an evening flight.

We’ve been coming here for over 15 years as our downtown hotel. We live on the Olympic Peninsula, it’s nice to have the Hyatt to come to.

Apparently there is no room service at 12:30 am on a Friday night. That's just a guess though, because no one answered when we call the front desk several times.

I knew there would be a refundable $25 security charge that all establishments charge. However there was another $25 charge that was not expected and it was not optional - there were discounts for the gym, discount for food but only through room service. I told them I did not want this additional charge and they said it wasn’t optional. I never used one single thing on their list and it cost me an additional $25 perday. Would not stay there again as I thought this was underhanded.

Excellent place for a weekend getaway
The check in was easy. Beautiful room and a nice view. The bed was quite comfortable, although the pillows are too soft. We really enjoyed the bathtub. In-room dining was delicious & quickly brought to our room. We will be back for another visit!

Good hotel, just not homey.
Great hotel, the room was perfect, it’s just not cozy nor homey, is definitely a place for big and corporate events. Lobby is not welcoming and it feels like walking into an abandon office building.

We love staying at the Grand Hyatt. It is right in the heart of shopping and theaters and great restaurants. It's an affordable luxury.
Love having to use room cards to access the elevator. That's an extra layer of safety that is much appreciated.

I came in late because my flight changed. I called the front desk to notify them I’d be coming in late. When I arrived the valet was ready to talk my car. The lady I spoke with was was at the counter when I arrived. She got me my room. And I received a bottle of wine & cold water. My room was on the 28th floor. When I opened the door to my room I was speechless. It was so nice and so spacious. I was completely shocked. It was literally like an apartment without the kitchen. If I fly into Seattle again I will be booking the Hyatt in Seattle again. You should too. I can guarantee you won’t be disappointed.

I loved this property!
I’ve stayed in Seattle many times and it’s always been a rundown situation that I paid too much for.
The Grand Hyatt was FANTASTIC!! The price point didn’t feel crazy, but when I got there it felt way more high end than I was expecting. I’ll come back for sure. Every staff member I encountered went above and beyond, the room and bed was supreme.

The Grand Hyatt in Seattle was fabulous. The staff was very helpful in getting us moved to a different room the first night due to the need for a handicapped shower. The staff was all smiles and never complained about helping us with a problem. They always had an answer that answered our questions.
The valet parking was expeditious, and our wait times were always less than five minutes. The cleaning and laundry service was excellent (my three days of dirty clothes were returned the next day neatly folded and in a bag with shirts and pants on hangars). The atmosphere on the 27th floor was tranquil, and the elevators came quickly.
There is a Starbucks and NYC convenience store that can be accessed through the main floor of the hotel. This made eating breakfast and getting snacks and sodas extremely convenient. I didn't eat a steak at the hotel restaurant, but the cheeseburger for lunch was to die for (it is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner).
Several restaurants are within a two-block radius of the hotel. We ate at the Cheesecake Factory, which is on the same block, and an Indian restaurant five minutes walk from the hotel. The hotel is in a central location, and all the best sights are within 15 minutes of driving time or less.
The first thing my daughter said after we left was that we would always stay there when we go to Seattle. It was an enjoyable experience and made our vacation in Seattle that much more enjoyable. We were so thankful we picked that hotel to stay

Amazing service
This is an excellent hotel just blocks from pretty much everything including Pikes. But I was most impressed with the service. Gary at the front desk was a WOW. He made sure to make me feel welcomed and cared for. Then Arthur delivered my bags and not only showed me all the amenities around my suite, but then remembered me during my 4 days there, greeting me by my name every time he saw me. The valet recommended an awesome breakfast spot when he learned I was heading to grab some. The housekeeper in the health club was so kind and friendly. You will get grand treatment here.

Look elsewhere if you can
It’s fine for a work trip if someone else is paying but if you’re coming for a nice weekend away or spending your own money and don’t want to stay in a corporate hotel that hasn’t been updated since the 90’s I would probably look elsewhere. It’s not cheap and the service is just fine, my room was never cleaned even though I requested it be cleaned daily and the pillows were super cheap and dead flat. I ordered French fries for room service one night and they were $16 + a tip lol. They were frozen steak fries and there were perhaps 12 at best. My room wasn’t ready upon check in and they sent me away and said they would call… they never did and I came back 2 hours later and it still wasn’t ready. Like I said, it’s fine if it’s a work trip but I’d be upset if this was for a nice weekend away.. for $350-400 a night you can do so much better (even in Seattle where it’s a more expensive west coast city). Upon checking out, they couldn’t even provide me with a receipt and didn’t ask how the stay was. If it wasn’t for the never ending conference circuit that keeps this place alive, I’m doubtful it would be around or as flippant with service. Also, they need to clean the windows outside, they were disgusting.

One robe and amenities for two people. Reception didn’t seem to know how to work computer and slow. Didn’t get requested accessible bathroom. Deli disappointing. Too many instances required to use key card. Trouble automatic front doors. I’ve often stayed in Hyatt and this worst one.

Nice convenient shops right at hotel- convenience store as well as Starbucks and Ruth's Chris Steakhouse for drinks and a great steak salad.Spa was nice and I was the only one there at at time which I loved! Beware if you're the type that is in a hurry, don't have them book you a room on the upper floors if they have a convention going on, it may take a while to catch an elevator going down :)

Clean hotel with friendly staff
On check in we were warmly and enthusiastically greeted by the lady at the front desk, who was very helpful. Throughout our stay, the staff was eager to help and was very kind. The room was very clean with the exception of one towel that had an indescribable stain on it; however the staff quickly changed this for us. The condition of the items and room were a little worn, but still comfortable enough. The location is within walking distance to various good restaurants and it’s easy to grab an Uber with only a few minute wait.
Overall, we would stay here again when we come back to Seattle, and this is our third time staying here.

The staff were the some of the kindest people I’ve met. We were greeted with nothing but smiles and upgraded views for our anniversary weekend.
I was really disappointed in the bed & bedding. Our comforter had multiple stains and we had no sheet on our mattress. We asked for extra blankets and they had holes in them. We didn’t want to cause more fuss so the next day we stripped the bed & asked for housekeeping. Our bed the next day was clean & no stains. They really need to upgrade their bedding situation tho. For the price we paid, a nice plush bed would have been so nice.
That’s my only downside. Would stay again!
Again, the staff, especially housekeeping was absolutely fantastic.

It was such an amazing stay!!! Super safe, walkable, clean, the beds were new and amazing!!! Good Mattresses makes a huge difference! Gary at the front desk went above and beyond for my family! Can’t wait to stay here again! You can also walk to the train station, catch the monorail, or a bus! All just outside the front of the hotel and within a few blocks.

Out suite shower had mold in the grout and tile. The mud and tape in the sheetrock seam in the ceiling/wall corner above the sink was poorly mudded and very visible. Looked like it was a one coat and call it good rush job Looked pretty trashy. More like Motel 6 than a 4 stat Hyatt.
It was really only two items but when paying those prices, my finished carpenters eye is quick to catch errors. I would never leave my clients homes looking like that!

It was very nice property. We just had some issues checking in waiting on rooms to be cleaned, but the staff was courteous and gave us a $50 credit. Overall it was a pretty awesome place to stay!
