The customer service at this hotel was outstanding. It was also very clean and welcoming. The breakfast was great as well. Honestly, we have always had pretty good luck with Hampton Inn, but this one was the best we have stayed in. I think the people they hired for the front desk were excellent and really made the difference.

feces on toilet, took 1 hour to get internet. No hand soap, pen, pad to write on, TV station guide, Not a lot of channels as advertised, needs up dating, carpet dirty, coffee was terrible, breakfast was very good. Will not stay again.

Nicely run hotel
Really friendly staff who worked hard to make sure everything was in order. It would have been nice with a bigger pool so you could swim laps and/or with a kiddie shallow end.

Great Place to Stay
The staff are super friendly and helpful, the room was clean and looking good, and the breakfast was excellent. The room and parts of the facility did need some general maintenance.

Property was clean and safe and a short driving distance to the highway and downtown Staunton.
Breakfast wasn't as good as the many other Hampton Inns we've stayed in.

Room had a stale smoke smell covered up by room fresheners . Showers were hot and the breakfast was great . Mattress was just fair and not as good as most Hampton Inns we have stayed at .

Not happy
We were surprised and disappointed that we were charged $75 for our dog because all of the other Hampton Inn hotels in North Carolina and Virginia charge $50.
The front desk person said she would tell her manager. Not the answer I was looking for.
We will not stay at this Stanton Hampton Inn again.
Thankfully, there are many to choose from.

I spent 2 days in a row. I was underwhelmed with no room service clean up, towels, trash pick up. This was apparently offered IF I called the front desk as I found out on check out day.

I arrived at the Hampton Inn Staunton without a reservation. There was a mixup at another nearby hotel. Cheyenne and Leylana were at the front desk and told me there were no rooms available that night. I went to my car to tell my family and we began to google other nearby options. Approximately 5 minutes passed and Cheyenne came out to the parking lot, found us in our car and let us know they had just had a cancellation and they DID have a room available for us. She and Leylana went above and beyond by searching for us and letting us know that a room was now available. Everytime we saw them we thanked them, but I am hoping property management sees them and praises them too!
We also enjoyed the hotel breakfast. Everything was hot, fresh, not over (or undercooked) and clean.
We will stay at this Hampton Inn the next time we are in Staunton.

Expensive compared to other cities but clean.
We was traveling through Staunton from Hershey PA to a wedding in Durham, NC. Everything about the hotel was excellent except the cost. This hotel should not have cost $300 a night. We are not sure why hotels in the Staunton area were so expensive but they were. We arrived at 10pm slept and left at 9am the next morning.

The door to the room squeaked. There was no fan in the bathroom. I liked the control allowing continuous operation of the room fan; my wife requires continuous air movement.
Everything else that was good should be based on the cost.

Nice hotel, well located. Very clean
They did the best they could considering covid precautions. Breakfast could use a bit of improvement for selection on weekdays. The staff that ran it was excellent. Coffee was surprisingly good.

The chair was a bit worn out and dated.
Otherwise, the room was clean. Desk staff was helpful and pleasant upon checking in. However they had a difficult time figuring out that i paid for the room in advance.

Everything is ok, good view, super super plague paranoid!! I i was expecting someone outside ringing a bell saying "bring out your dead" .
I will say the gentlemen that checked me in was very helpful and polite.
If you need food or water or anything, you can get drinks but the machines only take dollar bills no credit, and just like every other service in this industry, post plague!! the response is if you dont like it, you can stay somewhere else . Ugh )-: yeah this is our new world aftet a plague ravaged .0002% of the population.
