Room was not as clean as I think it should be. Difficult to get code for internet, had to go out to desk !! Ugh. Pool was not working. Bathroom sink spigot made horrible noise when trying to use cold water. Buffet was less than wonderful. Cold eggs and sausage. Only two of each left. Was not refilled. Decaf coffee was good but almost empty. Got two cups out. Told girl at desk that it was empty. She was not pleasant. Took coffee carafe and didn’t replace. Obviously no one was restocking the buffet. Asked the dark haired at girl at the front desk if we got a discount for pool not work. She said NO !! I asked for manager, of course they were not available. For the price we paid, we should not have these problems!! Hampton hotels used to be night to stay at. This is second hotel we have had issues with poor management

Very nice and remodeled hotel. Only disappointment is 1 ice machine worked and was located on the 3rd floor. We stayed in the first floor. Quite an inconvenience.

Hotel stay
Came in town for a friends wedding and wanted somewhere with a pool and complimentary breakfast in the morning. They had both. Staff was very welcoming, room was clean, pool was great, and breakfast was good. I would definitely stay here again.

Construction going on that started prior to 7 AM. Cable wasn’t working. Smoke alarms started malfunctioning at 3AM so they went off every15- 30 minutes and were still malfunctioning when I left at 6. The front desk staff was obviously frazzled so they curtly told me they couldn’t give me credit since I booked through Expedia.

Tv didn’t work properly. Sink was clogged and full of dirty water which was there the moment I checked in and never drained. Called front desk. No resolution offered. Also informed again at check out. “Sorry” was all I received.

Unfortunate timing
Booked a stay back in November and when we arrived we learned the hotel was under renovation and there was no notice of this, seemingly a third of the parking was blocked by construction equipment, there were no working ice machines available and in the room the mini fridges had been removed, while the staff couldn’t control this and It would’ve been nice for some sort of notice to this the staff were still friendly as could be and amazing to every degree

Avoid --- At least for the near future
I had 7 rooms at this location.... experiences ranged from OK to TERRIBLE! This property is undergoing renovations, I was unaware until we arrived. A few of the rooms were ok, my room smelled like a workout area. My bosses room was located on the 2nd floor which was in complete shambles. He thinks he may be the only person on that floor and the construction workers apologized to him. The worst however is that one of my co-workers rooms had bed bugs. This was confirmed after a trip to her DR. after she arrived home. This was completely unexpected from a Hampton Inn.

Nice area and community. Friendly and helpful staff. In the midst of a remodeling project... lobby and rooms do not look like pics! Room was in poor condition. Needed cleaned, repaired and updated. May be part of their remodel but they should have started with the rooms! Over priced for the conditions. Overall disappointed. Hope things improve.

Your front desk clerk was amazing!! I am having a hard time in life right now but starting something new, today and finding my fresh breath, it has been tough
And when I entered tonight she was calm, friendly and attentive with a quick display of your ammenties and neat things nearby that she shared over eye contact and a smile, with a smile that showed me I mattered
Her five minutes of premier customer service made a huge impact on my stay and quality tonight, thank you guys 👋

The room had a musty odor. The toilet seat wasn't tightly installed, kept moving around while sitting on it. The place was under renovations, we ended up checking out around 10:30 am Saturday even though we were supposed to stay until Sunday 😕😕

Property is a total construction zone. Tape on doors to indicate room numbers. Folding tables set up for check in. Folding tables in breakfast area. Construction workers and equipment everywhere. Lobby restrooms closed.
Old food was in our refrigerator upon check in - disgusting.
Plus - they charged $25 more for pet than what your site noted. We would have stayed at a different property had we known the price difference.

My husband and I booked here for a 2 night stay. We had stayed in the past several times and always had a positive experience. This time was the complete opposite.
Positives: check in was easy and the staff was very friendly. The swimming pool was warm and our room was clean.
Negatives: construction/remodel was everywhere. The entire lobby was torn out with plastic hanging up to block off different areas. There was drywall dust and paint fumes throughout the building. We were given a room on the 3rd floor that was supposed to be "away from the noise." It was very outdated, the lights were dim, the tv had spots all across the screen, the mattress bowed in the enter and the sheets seeemed too small as they kept coming off the corners of the bed and rolling up. We were woken up early the first morning by the construction noise and the second morning by housekeeping. The fire alarm went off twice during our stay. The entrance/exit was blocked off when it was time to check out so we had to walk way around the building in the rain, carrying our luggage as you couldn't get a luggage cart through the maze of hanging plastic and power cords, to get to our vehicle. Then, when we asked to speak with a manager we were told that she would be given our name and number and would call us but we never heard from her.

The staff was excellent and very friendly. Erin. The afternoon shift manager was a gem. Expedia majorly screwed up the bookings, and she fixed it all. I spent 15 minutes on the phone with Expedia trying to explain the situation and got nowhere. I ended up canceling the rooms, and Erin rebooked them for us. I booked a handicap room thru Expedia. There were no handicapped rooms. Expedia booked 8 rooms for one night. I needed three rooms for multiple nights. Will not book rooms thru Expedia again. The hotel waived all the late cancels for 8 rooms we did not need. I even called Expedia twice to confirm rooms.

Unsatisfactory stay.
We were not informed that rooms would only be cleaned if we requested. Had to request towels, garbage bags. They requested for us to put our dirty towels and garbage out side our room and it would be picked up, which is was. The toilets were kids size approximately 12 inches from the floor. We are seniors, and my husband could not use it. The room we requested was unable (2 queens) we settled on a king. Men’s Hall rest room with larger toilets was out of order, so my husband had to use the womens. TV did not work with the remote. Used the manual buttons to turn on, change channels and sound. Not convenient and hard to do. We stayed at this hotel numerous times and were satisfied. Unfortunately not this time. Never again.

What I didn't like, was my reservation being cancelled. I called the Inn on Tuesday and told them that I couldn't make the Wed. stay, as my husband was dying. I was told he would cancel the Wed. and make Thursday the check in. My husband died that evening. When I got up the next morning, I saw that our reservation was gone. Hampton Inn was nice enough to make me a new reservation at the Expedia price.

We have stayed numerous times over the years. The staff is always friendly and helpful. This time we had asked for a room refresh during two days. The first one we accidentally left the privacy sign on the door. Ok, our fault. The next day there was no service provided for our room, so during our stay we had to go to the front desk for towels twice during a three night stay. Unfortunately, this is not the first time that this has happened. Since we have been exceptionally pleased with the front desk and breakfast buffet and the staff there we will probably return nexct time we visit Troy.

VERY DISAPPOINTED- lack of customer service
I booked this hotel by mistake I called 5 minutes after booking to cancel They were rude and unwilling to negotiate anything or cancel Charged me the full rate even through we couldn't use the reservation Lack of customer service seems to be their top priority Very disappointed When back in this area I will defiantly choose another location

The room stayed in had a sauna but was out of order so made room smaller. stayed same place 3 weeks prior had a larger room and no sauna. Room should not be offered if sauna out of order or be told out of order and if okay with it. Also if staying multiple days cleaning need to be done a little later because people on vacations like to sleep in. Also smoking alarm went off woke up out of sleep and when leaving no one apologize had to ask why went off.

This hotel is getting a little tired and needs a bit of sprucing up. However, in these days of higher hotel prices it is ok for the price. I would stay here again for an overnight stop while traveling I75. The commercial area around has been developed since our last visit here (pre Covid) and more restaurants and hotels are available.

Strong smell of pool chemicals/chlorine in room
Our room was directly above the pool. Upon opening the door we were met with a strong smell of chlorine. My eyes burned immediately. I contacted the front desk for a room change or other solution and was told "no, hotel is fully booked" when I explained my eyes were burning I was told, "There is nothing that could be done".
I turned the air conditioning on and put the fan on high which helped to circulate the air a bit but it still smelled strongly of pool chemicals. Fortunately I was not travelling with my daughter who is allergic to all pool chemicals and breaks out in hives upon exposure to high levels. Would have been nice to be presented with some options, maybe a room credit/voucher for a future stay. There had to be an alternative to the rude response I was given.

Asked for first floor because of sister with a walker and having a dog. Was booked on second floor, after some excuses for front deck I finally convinced them to change our room, then they charged me $50 for my dog. The rate for a pet should be listed , I would have gotten a different hotel if I would have know that in advance

We had an all together great experience other than the manager finding it okay to yell at children. She all together needs to work on her communication skills especially with young children. It was a great experience and every other staff member we encountered was amazing.

Breakfast was great! The kids loves the waffles especially! Room was nice but we couldn’t get the heat to come down at night… set it to 54 and we were still so hot! Pool needs some sound absorbing panels desperately!!! One kid is loud, more than 3 together and it’s deafening. We could not handle the noise level.
No big complaints, just a few tweaks recommended

Hit and miss
Stayied at this hotel last week and sevice was great. Checked in last night and the front desk woman acted like she was doing me a favor to do her job. Leaned back in her chair as if she had no cares in the world.
Front desk this morning was great. There was a man there last week who i thinks works there and was here this morning. Very loud in the breakfast area with his phone blasting music and flirting with the server. Won't stay there again....

HVAC fan continuously blows.
The stay was great. However the fan on the HVAC was on constantly and I wasn’t in the mood for white noise. I tried to turn it off, even enlisted the staff but we couldn’t shut it off.

We have stayed here before with acceptable results. Our room was clean although the bed was so very firm and I am absolutely not a fan of a thick duvet that hardly ever gets cleaned, and only a sheet between it and me. I prefer to get that nasty bed cover off the bed and sleep under a blanket and sheet only.
The breakfast area was barely staffed and I realize help is hard to come by. The food prep was way under par. Oatmeal resembled sheetrock mud. Orange juice was watery. Waffle batter was so thick it would not come out of the dispenser. No butter on hand. No one in the kitchen prep area to ask for more. Eggs were cold and inedible.
We are traveling in the area again this week but will choose another location this time.

The place was nice and clean. I wish there were shower caps already in the room. I wish breakfast ended at 10 instead of 9am. 😆 I wish there was an exhaust fan in the bathroom. Nothing that made my stay less than great.

Nice stay.
The accommodating and staff are excellent. Comfort and sense of safety are highly rated. When comparing this location to other Hampton properties though, the price was higher than I believe it should be. Breakfast hours are shorter than I would prefer though the offerings are great.

The hotel was very clean & staff was friendly. Although Covid-19 restrictions were lifted, the breakfast was bagged, which consisted of a stale bagel, a very small apple & bottle of water. That was quite disappointing.

The room was small but very clean. The bed was comfortable but I would preferred having a blanket since I dont care for those nasty duvets that seem to get laundered just occasionally. There was a hot breakfast but the area was very small and a very limited choice of items. I actually think there were more choices at times when it was grab and go. All in all though, an enjoyable stay of several days while visiting scattered relatives.

Perfect place for a good nights sleep
super friendly. Clean. Quite. But what was the best one of the managers over heard the breakfast lady as for ice. She stopped what she was doing an got me ice. I was impressed. That's the kind people you want!!
