Good rooms and location.
I've stayed here a few times before and always had a good stay. This time there were some issues but the manager addressed these somewhat. The beds are comfortable and a/c works good. Decent breakfast . I'd stay again.

Rooms were clean, they had a variety of breakfast options in the morning, and there is a pool. It’s not a fancy establishment but you can’t beat the price if you have a few days to spend in the area and don’t want to empty your wallet.

Accommodations were fine.
At 10 pm some sort of intermittent alarm started sounding. Not in my room, apparently not life threatening, more like the noise when batteries are dying. Also dripping water sounds not in my room.
Finally ended about 11! Lost sleep. But unwilling to heave my room to investigate further as I am a woman traveling alone. !

I would highly recommend this stay hotel was very clean. Staff was very friendly rooms were very large and beds are very comfortable and breakfast was amazing but highly recommend this day.

The room was nice and clean. It was a good size but the bathroom was very small. The toilet didn't have a lid and we were worried with barely enough room to close the door we would drop clothes in it by accident while showering so we covered it with a piece of cardboard while showering.
One night there was no parking because work vehicles with trailers etc had taken up so many parking spaces. We had to park at the restaurant next door.
Breakfast was normal grab and go, waffles, etc.
Overall our stay was good and we would stay here again.

This motel has modern decorated units with decent beds, and no carpets which is good in my book. A lot of out of area workers seem to stay in this hotel so it does get a little noisy in the morning when they’re loading into their vehicles. overall a good experience.

Desk staff were friendly, room had recently been remodeled so it was very nice. Breakfast was decent for a quick bite. Unlike other reviewers, we didn’t have any issues with highway noise. It was a one night stay on our travels but I would recommend!!

Worth the stay, worth a revisit
The exterior of the hotel complex was obviously dated but the interior of the room was excellent. It was well appointed with modern furniture, the duvet was perfect, pillows were plush and comfortable, the shower had beautiful aggregate floor and the shower/lav areas had tile with lvp in the living area. I was impressed with the updates and comfort.

The only complaint I have, is the young man (when I checked in) and later the next day, was EXTREMELY unfriendly, bordering on rude I wish I would have taken notice of his name He was about 18 years old
He barely made eye contact, he wore street clothes and a black hat! I asked him “are you allowed to where that hat at work?” His response was “yup” and turned away I said “well , it looks unprofessional “
He was the worst front desk representation I ever met
And I travel a LOT This wonderful hotel needs to get rid of him asap

All in all, a decent stay. I would encourage the management to work with their employees in terms of their attire. I was greeted by a young college- aged student at the front desk, wearing a trendy hat, which I did not find professional. Other than his attire, he took care of me quickly and got me to my room. The property from the outside looks a little tired, and I was concerned about that, wondering if I should’ve booked something else. When I got into my room however, I found it very clean, and very comfortable, with wonderful amenities. My only drawback in the room was the showerhead, which was too short for me. Plus, those rain shower type showerheads aren’t very powerful, and this one certainly was not. I also didn’t like the juice box straw that was left under the bedsheet, but I was tired, so I overlooked it. Also, a desk light would have been a bonus. It was hard to do work from the desk without a light. The breakfast the next morning wasn’t much to write about, but it was sufficient. As I said, all in all, not a bad stay, especially if you’re operating on a budget. Would I recommend? Yes, probably, but if you want something fancier, this is not the place.

We were looking for a reasonably priced hotel for a one night stay close to Highway 75. This hotel had excellent reviews. We agree. The hotel has easy parking. The doors are on the outside which may add just a bit to outside noise at night but it didn’t affect our sleep. The bed was super comfortable. The room was clean and had everything we needed. Restaurants were within an easy walk for my husband who has some mobility issues. The staff was quick to check us in even with four people ahead of us, the line moved quickly. We’d certainly stay here again on our next trip.

Exterior of the hotel doesn't look like much, but the courtyard/pool area is nice. The room interior was also decent, with new fixtures including a double sink which is a nice touch. Breakfast is OK - no fresh fruit. Overall good for the price. Oh - and if you like horse racing, you can't beat the full wall pictures of racing!

Equus Inn appears to be a renovated motel, with rooms separated from the main registration office. If I were traveling my myself, I would not feel safe because some areas near the pool and parking spots were dark (creepy). However, after driving 10 hrs, it was fine. The room was clean and bed was comfortable. Giving a 2 star for staff, because the front desk clerk in the evening was a young guy who projected a 'I don't want to be here' mono-toned attitude, not helpful or friendly at all. However the front desk lady who checked us out the next morning was friendly and polite. Management - check out the videos to see the difference and provide your evening clerk customer service training.

The room was very clean and pretty comfortable, but I didn't know this was an outside access type of hotel (more like a motel). Check in person was really not very friendly. Overall it was satisfactory for a one night stay but not particularly special in any way.

It was OK. Just a quick stop while on a road trip. Breakfast was not good. English muffin in case was wet.
Coffee was OK.
Property next door started cutting the grass at 6:30 AM. Not the hotels fault, but it was a loud wake up and I wouldnt stay again because of this.

We stayed for 2 nights. Our room was very comfortable and roomy. The bathroom facilities were excellent except for the shower handle which was extremely difficult to turn. An extra towel would have been handy.

Although it’s super pet friendly, we were able to stay despite severe dog allergies because the room was so clean - and no carpeting or drapes to collect fur/dander. Modern decor, quiet, and breakfast area was nicely laid out with ample food and drinks - even a tea selection which we tea drinkers don’t often find.

Someone attempted to upgrade the rooms to a more upscale feel and slightly missed the mark. Just ok. Bed linens were nice quality and the room was clean but nothing special for the dollars it cost I expected better. $681 for Friday, Saturday, Sunday night stay mid-February. The outside was rough and needs updated. Convenient to I75 but lots of traffic noise. Just ok.

Location and staff was nice.
When first arriving in room it looked good and the beds were made up nicely.
CONS: There was an extremely strong smell of room deodorizer that took some time to get used to. The bathroom toilet seat was dangerously loose. In the evening tiny little crawing bugs were all over the sink vanity and in both sinks. Then we kept finding them in other places - the night stand, etc. A very nice gentleman from housekeeping came and sprayed roach killer. Terrible smell but it helped with the bugs. We were very disappointed in the fsct that the tv connection was so weak we were unable to watch the Super Bowl! Finally, in a room closeby there was a barking dog that carried on for a very long time and then again the next morning.

Great pet friendly hotel
It was so nice to find a hotel this nice that was pet friendly. I went to breakfast in the last half hour and not much to choose from. It is located in a great spot with a lot of restaurants and the Paddock Mall.

This was a last-minute trip, and I had to say I was very pleasantly surprised at how clean the place was. Outside was absolutely gorgeous with fire, pits and waterfalls and the pool the way it was lit up. It was very Zen feeling.

The property was as advertised and very clean. The location was central and convenient with free parking and well lit corridors to elevator. The pool area looked inviting and the outdoor fireplace had a nice vibe, the weather wasn’t cooperating I would definitely stay again.

However, room wreaked of chlorine bleach! Terrible. Only stayed one night and felt sick afterwards.
Booked thru expedia, need a receipt. Hotel would not give me one and I've yet to be able to get one from Expedia also.

A nice surprise for a non chain hotel room at a decent price. Great location with numerous dining options that are walkable. Nice outdoor pool & sitting area. Room was ok, typical hotel room - and was clean.
Good breakfast with omelettes made to order.
Only negative, breakfast staff (lady making the omelettes) was quite rude to customers and other hotel staff in the area - was very embarrassing.

Every staff member was great! Friendly and helpful when needed. Hot breakfast options were a plus, and central location 5/5!! Only complaint was the pullout bed being extremely uncomfortable. Would stay again, but only with double beds. Highly recommend!
