Cons: shower curtain too short to block the water, leaves a small puddle of water in the bathroom after shower, water pipes/drainage from surrounding rooms can be loud sometimes

Be aware, no free parking, Not even with a disability permit. Vending machine water bottle $3.50! They are really trying to squeeze you as a tourist even if you live in Florida. Not in walking distance to anything worthwhile.

Patricia front desk very helpful. And the rest of staff very nice. Breakfast was changed up every day a little different options. Also should have a gratuity box for breakfast crew. Who were very busy keeping buffet stocked and tables cleaned. I think hotel was sold out . And they kept up. Great Job!!!

So close to everything we were here to do this week. Desk staff was very friendly; room super clean and maintenance was really quick when the tv remote didn’t work. Highly recommend along with Berries in the Grove restaurant right around the corner. Great stay!

Power went out
Check in was great employee add on a parking fee when we said it would not be used. Breakfast was great. When we woke up half of the power in our room went out. No power on the tv, coffee maker, fridge, and some of the lamps. Room was clean. Never plan to stay here again.

This hotel is on a corner of 2 busy streets - US1 and 27th Ave. It's about 6 blocks from the heart of Coconut Grove, but a fairly easy walk. We were concerned about parking with a trailer on the car, but the outside parking lot in back worked fine, and we saw it being swept in the morning. We were particularly impressed with the receptionist. She was sharp, efficient, and answered questions very well. The room was excellent. There was a big, comfortable lounge chair with throw pillows. The bed and pillows were quite comfortable. The air conditioner was very responsive. The grab bar in the shower was welcome. The breakfast buffet was the best of our trip, with freshly sliced fruit (some unusual - like mango and blackberries), and make-your-own waffles with seasonal "pumpkin spice" batter alternative. We are always happy with a Hampton Inn.

Why did I get put in a room directly above laundry facility when I specifically asked for a quiet room!! This is ridiculous!! Sounded like a helicopter taking off every 10 minutes! Then staff ask me if I wanted free parking when I flew into Miami!’

Lots of restaurants nearby and hotel did great job providing options. Our room was comfortable and clean but we woke up congested- we wonder if the filter in the air conditioner needs changing. Grace at the front desk was so sweet and helpful.
There was construction happening on the middle of the breakfast area. Breakfast had lots of options!!

Perfect staycation
We stayed at this hotel while tenting our house. The location was very convenient, and we turn this hassle into a mini vacation. Pool was a good size and there was plenty of space for patrons, easy access from parking as well. The room was clean with a welcoming smell, beds and pillows super comfy, cold AC, and convenient appliances. Continental breakfast was varied and abundant. There was delicious hot coffee all day long.

Terrible Stay at Hampton Inn-Coconut Grove/CG
Horrible stay and terrible customer service. When we checked into hotel they were dealing with a water flooding issue of the property. Place was a mess. I understand that these things happen and didn't think of changing to another hotel.
When we checked into room, A/C in room was not functioning, would not go lower than 76F and was 79F most of the night. I called down to front desk and was guided through some trouble shooting. Still didn't work. I was told because of flooding issues that they had no other rooms available. So I slept no more than an hour.
I spoke to someone the next day at the front desk and was told that a manager from the property would call me to resolve the issue or offer a refund. No one called. Two days later I filed a complaint and a refund request with Hotels.com. During during their investigation the hotel said that the A/C was working in the room and the refund was refused, so apparently I was SOL. The hotel that I tried to be understanding about lied about about the functionality of the A/C, never followed up with me and refused any kind of refund. Thankfully this nightmare was only one night. PLEASE, PLEASE CHECK YOUR A/C IN THIS HOTEL AS SOON AS YOU CHECK IN! If it doesn't work, don't expect them to do much about it.

GREAT hotel!! Super clean. The complimentary breakfast was THE best! It was like we went to a restaurant for breakfast! Loved it! Pool was relaxing. The staff was AMAZING. Someone was playing very loud music in the room next to us at 11pm. We called the desk and asked if they could help. Omg...their security guy handled it immediately and professionally. Just a short walking distance to the pier for dinner. We loved our stay here and definitely will be back. TY!

Public bathrooms were very dirty and had a bad odor. Our room has a lot of black mold in the bathroom and in shower. Hair from the previous guest so the bathroom was not cleaned. Makes me question what else isn't cleaned here. I did appreciate the size of the room which was nice

Ok for a short stay
The hotel was decent, the room was comfortable and quiet. Breakfast was ok and the staff was nice. Pool was not so good both my son and I had an allergic reaction to something in there and were itching and sneezing for about an hour after getting out. The location was convenient to downtown, the south shore, coral gables and little Havana. Overall it was nice but now that I have a better idea of the Miami areas I doubt I would stay there again unless I specifically wanted to be near Viscaya, CG or the Havana area.

I booked and payed a double room, I call around 4:00pm saying that we will check in late and they said everything was ok. When we show up, they give my room to someone else, the hotel was sold out. I called Expedia asking for a solution and all that they do was give me a refund because even Expedia representative can’t find me a hotel for that night. I spent the night at my car with wife and kids. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE FROM THE HOTEL AND EXPEDIA. I been Expedia customer for years booking a lot of hotels, airplane tickets, cars, etc.

Relaxing stay right opposite metrorail station
Lots of good points - a lovely welcoming hotel in a quiet safe neighbourhood, right opposite the Coconut Grove metrorail station. The free breakfast was plentiful and had many hot and cold options. We were given an hour later for checkout which made a very relaxing morning to use the pool and gym before going to the airport. The room was spacious, modern and clean. Thank you to the lovely helpful staff at the front desk Daliana and Roxy.

Overall a pleasant experience for the family - clean standard hotel rooms, as expected, although the double-sized beds are a tad small for 2 people. Our beds were on the firm side, which is not our preference. The breakfast was the nice surprise - eggs and sausages, fresh berries/fruit, variety of pastries and a make-your-own-waffle machine! That was a hit for the kids. The coffee, on the other hand, was disappointing - the "dark roast" was very watered down. Lastly, the cleaning service only happens on every 3rd day of your stay - so plan accordingly.
