Dirty hotel
The hotel room was dirty. The floors were dirty everywhere in the hotel. All the floors were slippery and not because of water but they were very greasy.

Don't advertise a specialty service (pet friendly)when in fact it is not. Animals are animals and they shouldn't be expected not to bark when disturbed or provoked. This staff obviously didn't understand the pet friendly policy and asked my wife to leave after one incident that wasn't even proven. I was told there will be a full refund and we will not stay at another Hilton property going forward.

Don’t stay here if you want to sleep at night. so noisy !!!!
Very worn raggedy, dirty furniture in the lobby apathetic staff in front. Also, if you’re a non-smoker, you have no choice but to walk through smoking on both sides of the front of the hotel to enter the lobby! Most of the time it’s the staff smoking in front of the building, but I’m sure guests are also frequently there smoking as well. I will never return to this property!!

The hotel was clean and the desk clerk at check in was very nice.
Now to the downside of there so call breakfast was very poor. Both mornings that we were there we went somewhere else for breakfast. The only good thing was the coffee. They surely need improvement on there breakfast.

Close to Mt. Dora
This Hampton Inn is a newer hotel with modern colors and finishes. The rooms are spacious and clean. The bathrooms are large and equipped with plenty of towels, lotions, shampoo, conditioner and body wash. The pool is an appropriate size for the hotel. The breakfast area was nice and the complimentary breakfast was good. Parking is free. This hotel is close to downtown Mt. Dora.

Tasty breakfast with pleasant surroundings. Recommendation of Vincents Restaurant by Night Clerk Maguire was the WORST Italian Restaurant I've ever been to. Tomato sauce had no flavor, Calimari chewy and unflavorable. Its hard tp really screw up an Italian meal but they succeeded.

After spending 5 days at Universal Resort, this hotel is way nicer!! The wife and I stayed here after kayaking at Kings Landing and i could not be happier! The room was so clean and fresh and big. The fromt desk lady was super friendly and even recommended a BBQ restaurant that we went to and it was delicious! Hampton Inn will forever be my go to hotel while traveling.

Outstanding!
All hotel chains can vary based on location and Management but this Hampton Inn was exceptional. My Room was spotless and inviting and I appreciated the personalized letter from the Management placed by my bedside. Large pump bottles of lotions, shampoos and toiletries were fantastic and appreciated. The roomwas extremely quiet with absolutely no decernable street noise despite being located towards the front of the building. The Management was highly accommodating and bent over backwards to make sure my needs were met and the Breakfast was absolutely terrific. A combination of both hot and cold offerings were plentiful and replenished continually throughout the hours as indicated. Coffee and tea offered throughout the day as well as freshly baked cookies are an appreciated and added plus. A dynamic facilty that deserves the highest rating and a guaranteed return visit when in the Mt Dora area.

It was fine. Dog Barking in the next room at night
The stay was fine. Not bad, not terrible. People in the next room which had shared doors with ours had a dog barking a lot which was annoying. The hotel front staff told us we could switch the rooms but we did not want to switch the rooms in the middle of the night. Did not get any other offers or discount on our stay despite not sleeping for half the night. Other than that, the stay was fine.

Property is convenient to Renninger's Antique and Flea and Farmers Market. After a hot day on our feet, it was great to come back to a swim in the pool and a fresh cookie and coffee. It was also convenient to historic Mt Dora, yet with all the modern conveniences.

The room was clean and in good working order. The floor could have been a little cleaner in the bathroom but I’m being picky. The beds were comfortable as were the pillows. We enjoyed the pool for my 8 year old grandson and towels there were stocked. They had cookies upon arrival and dining area/lobby was very clean. We even had to use the laundry for my grandson’s basketball uniform. Only critique is they should allow you to get quarters for the laundry on your room bill.

Beware of Elevated Price
We stayed in 3 Hampton Inn's on our trip. We stayed three nights in Orlando for the price of two at this hotel..This one was by far the most expensive with less ammenties..No tolietries, no fresh towels. The front desk was welcoming. the place was clean. But did not understand the elevated price in the small town vs big city

I purchased this room because it clearly stated 2 Queen beds and a pull out sofa. When we checked in we were told no and they wouldn’t give us a roll away bed. Had to purchase a 2nd room. Misrepresented.

Many things did not work right.
Bathroom door would not stay closed.
Entrance door would not close by itself (had to be pushed shut).
Had to go down 2 floors to get to a working ice machine.

We had a comfortable stay. We were coming to enjoy the town of Mt. Dora and this hotel is far enough that you need to drive into town. I should have paid more attention to this detail when booking. The hotel was clean but a bit worn.
