Everyone I have encountered at this location has been amazing. In particular, there is a young lady at the front desk that is amazing. I cannot remember her name unfortunately, but she is a younger woman of color. I have stayed here multiple times and will continue to do so whenever I have any business in the Charlottsville area.

Easy check in and convenient parking. Staff was very friendly and gave us some recommendations for dining and areas to walk about nearby. Hotel is in close proximity to the downtown mall and University of Virginia.

It would have been useful to know that the property is being renovated and that the pool was unavailable. It was disappointing to find the breakfast option was overpriced pastries and Starbuck coffee. We traveled with a gluten-intolerant grandchild and had to rummage around a town we were unfamiliar with to find breakfast. The front desk check-in staff was very good.

The coffee is awful, partly because no non-dairy options are there. The oatmeal was very very thick & the fruit bowl was quite lacking.
Beds are comfy & fitness room is good & everyone was friendly

1st time visit. Friendly staff. Nice breakfast. Enjoyed 24 hour coffee station and self contained parking garage. A more comfortable chair in room would have been nice but overall room was well equipped.

Bad experience!
Got to our room. No hot water. Receptionist suggested moving rooms, or staying, & manager will give discount. She was rude. I said I’d stay. Pulled back the covers to get to bed (son was having surgery & we had to be at the hospital at 5:15 am), & there was pubic hair inside the “clean” bed. I called right back, got a new room, & just wanted to go to bed. Bathroom had long pieces of hair on the floor, shower had an old wash cloth hanging over the shower. Very disappointed, from our last stay, which was perfect!!

Sleek, Modern Hotel in Downtown Charlottesville
This is a sleek and modern hotel very near to downtown Charlottesville VA. It is close to everything worth seeing in this gorgeous city; just park in the hotel garage and walk! Parking is free for guests, as is the generous breakfast!

Negatives: limited breakfast choices (e.g. had lactaid milk and chocolate milk but no plain white milk; multiple choices of coffee but no caf-free tea; food options limited as well).

Really impressed with the cleanliness of the room. Was comfortable walking on the carpet w/o shoes a couple of times. Hallways were well lit with signs indicating elevator and exits. Breakfast was very good. Only negative comment I have would be the parking. Very tight if you drive a truck/van. Would definitely stay again.

Above expectations
Inn is ideally located for downtown restaurants, bars, nightlife, etc. Checkin was easy and parking was located underneath the building. I would definitely consider them again when I need to spend a night in Charlottesville.

We enjoyed staying at this property during the UVA orientation. While the property itself is in great condition and located within easy access to UVA, we didn't get room service despite having specifically requested it. Also, some fruits would be nice during breakfast!

A beautiful hotel. Shining clean, in a lovely setting in Charlottesville. The staff was friendly and very helpful, the room comfortable and spotless, and breakfast was fresh and a good variety. I would absolutely stay there again!

Hotel was clean and bed was beyond comfortable. Breakfast options were perfect. After coming back late from a concert, parking was limited. I had a large truck and couldn't fit in the 6'5" garage which was full anyway. Managed to maneuver in a spot. Loved the late checkout at 12 also.

Staff was helpful and very friendly. Room seemed clean. My only complaints is there was no trash bags in our bins and we have children with diapers. The bath tub plug also wouldnt work so we just had to give them a wipe down with a rag before bed but that wasnt too bad.

This is a very confortable hotel. Check in was efficient and parking was convenient in the two floor underneath garage. Thank you Fairfield for a large walk in shower instead of the ubiquitous, awkward tub arrangement and standard pillows rather than those awful squares. However, tissues in the provided receptacle would have been appreciated. Breakfast offered some creative options e.g. warm mini quiche and an egg sandwhich. A 15 to 20 minute walk led to the downtown mall.
