Great place to stay.
We had a great night staying at Hilton hotel. We didn’t encounter any issues. Our room was clean, bed and linens smell fresh. Overall experience was good!

The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. Property was very clean. Breakfast was very nice assortment and the 2 people working the breakfast were very helpful and kept everything clean and appealing.

He had to move to a different room because the people next to us had a dog that was barking. And the second room we went to had a terrible order and the carpet was wet.

The property needs updated. No movie channels. Air conditioning didnt work had to buy fan at walmart. So noisy couldnt sleep kids running in halls. Must of been jumping on beds sounds like they were gonna come thru the ceiling

I am so accustomed to there being issues with hotels. I walked in looking and ready to have to speak to the manager! This was not the case this time. The hotel was clean, friendly staff, and the bed was super comfy. Throw in a microwave and fridge and tv with all the cable channels——-WINNER!! I’ll definitely stay again.

The staff was helpful and personable. Our room wasn’t ready on time, but we were handed keys immediately when we returned. The location was a little odd - our window faced the back of a Cracker Barrel, and some sketchy looking businesses near by, but the hotel itself was fine. The TV was small and outdated. Overall good for the price.

The hotel was very well maintained and very clean. The breakfast offered very good choices and the lady in the kitchen couldn’t have been nicer. Front desk staff very friendly. One of the best places we have stayed since start of the pandemic

One of the best Hampton Inns we have stayed in. The staff are friendly and helpful. You feel welcomed when you enter. Housekeeping impeccable. Our room had our towels arranged in bow motifs with a handwritten note from our cleaner telling us to enjoy our stay. Good location. Highly recommend. Wish all hotels could be like this one!

Staff was friendly but our non smoking room smelled heavily of cigarette smoke. They moved us to another room that smelled heavily of perfume - bathroom looked like it had mold and wasn’t super clean.

Nice clean Hampton Inn with friendly staff. Ottawa is a great place to stay off of I-80, south west of Chicago. Very nice historic area with a good selection of restaurants is about 2 miles away.

Wish we could give 10 stars to the staff here: Ashlee, Kim, and the rest were all so great. We were displaced by the Grand Bear fire and these people made our lives easier during an overwhelming time. The rooms were fantastic, clean and modern with nice cold A/C. Very nice breakfast included, and dinner at Cracker Barrel was only steps out our door. In-house laundry was a welcome bonus.

In general the hotel is good, kids loved the pool but it was fairly dirty although very warm at least. The hotel is definitely dated and could stand to be totally redone. The lovely woman who checked us in though was absolutely amazing!

Surprisingly comfortable
My first impression was that the hotel was considerably dated. The lobby is small and not brightly lit. However my room was very comfortable. The room was large with a king bed ans separate couch. There was plenty of lighting and the bath room was large and clean.
My only complaint is that after 3 days I asked for my room to be refreshed and was told they only service the rooms every 7 days!! They made an exception but I think 7 days is simply taking advantage of the covid debacle.

A Hampton Inn?

Terrible hotel, stay somewhere else
We booked a two night stay here so that we could explore starved rock state park. This hotel is awful - the walls are so thin, you can hear everything. After checking in, the people in the room next to us were so loud (playing rock music, screaming/arguing at each other... they seemed like they were drunk and smoking as well). Despite multiple complaints to the front desk about the noise, nothing could be done and at 12:30 AM, we decided that we could not stay here and checked out. The customer service at this place was terrible and the hotel the next morning declined to refund us any money. After calling hotels.com, a customer service representative called the Hampton Inn for us and we received some of our money back.
Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else if you want a decent night of sleep.

I liked the Friendliness at the sign in, the warm chocolate chip cookies.
I like the layout of the bathroom to the main room. My husband fixed a leak in the toilet . A temporary fix which we reported in the morning.
The hot breakfast was a treat. Oatmeal,great.
We’ll be back next Spring. Keep up the good work

Rooms were nice but bed looked like it was kind of thrown together instead of actually made. Pillows were standard sized for a king sized bed which was weird. Otherwise the stay was great, staff was nice/accommodating.

Front desk service was good. Room was lacking and far overpriced at $170. Room was somewhat dirty and very musky. Could not sleep due to air quality. The A/C unit had to have tons of mold inside of it. Bed was not comfortable. Hampton Inn has gone downhill fast. I will not be staying at a Hampton again

The grandchildren loved that we had adjoining rooms. They also loved the pool. The staff was able to accommodate us with a shower chair for an elderly family member. The hotel was within walking distance to a Cracker Barrel restaurant. It was close to attractions we wanted to see in Ottawa. There was a nice variety of food for breakfast. The staff was very helpful! It was a wonderful experience!

Have stayed at this property several times. Odd issues, no coffee cups in room. There was a used bar of soap in the bathroom, which made me question how clean the rest of the room was. Not typical of what I am used to at this property.
