While the facilities looked fine at first, within 10 minutes of our stay, we found two live roaches in our room. Hotel staff was accommodating / issues a refund for our stay (we went to another hotel in the area), though. The lobby area looked fine but had a slight smell and the individual rooms definitely needed upgrades. Our carpet had stains, the shower had shower mat stains that looked permanent, and the bathroom floors were a bit sticky. While these issues were noticeable, we were fine until we spotted two very large roaches in the room. Overall, the hotel would benefit from a few upgrades and pest control. However, props to the staff for being kind/understanding during it.

Would recommend
Overnight stay for business. Very close to Lander University! Check-in gentlemen was extremely nice and welcoming! I was impressed right away. Room was clean. Grabbed quick breakfast from downstairs before we left and was good. They even provided us “on the road snacks” when we checked out. Recommend this for anyone! Only downside is our room was close to the road, and could hear traffic going by.

Quick stay in Greenwood
I think the hotel rate is high for the area. There was an issue at check-out but we didn't realize until we had left. The manager was able to correct. The bed was uncomfortable and breakfast was ok. Sits on the main road and could hear road noise.

I got double charged and when I called to get work out getting my money back the front desk clerk argued with me until I offered to send back statements to his boss. I reserved a king suite which was dirty when I arrived. It also did not have sheets, pillows, or blankets for the pull out bed. The next day the kitchen ran out of breakfast. This was not a good stay and Hilton has not honored the satisfaction guarantee that they advertise.

Never Again
They were housing homeless people, some got into a fight, the police were called, the place was worn out and the bathroom wasn’t clean. I couldn’t wait to leave.

They gave us a room that had never been cleaned and had a awful surprise in the toilet. They then gave us a 2nd room that the toilet was nit bolted down. HVAC didn't see. To work well either. Very little food for breakfast. They said their truck didn't come in but others staying there said it had been like that their entire stay. We travel all the time. Never stayed anywhere this bad. Very poor management.

First room. Tv does not work. No one there to fix it. Second room AC work every now and then. No ice on first floor. Then next morning at breakfast no ice there. But u could have gone to the 3rd floor to get some ice. Yeah right

Great front desk staff, poor room cleanliness
Very friendly staff. Great service at front desk. Housekeeping is very poor. I had to ask for my room to get freshened up after two days and only the towels were refilled and I was left with one old bar of soap for hands and shower Room cleanliness is poor. There are visible fresh looking stains on carpet and chair between bed and window. Chair has brown stains that appear fresh. Chair legs are filthy. I found king black hairs in my towels. I am a bald man. I don’t have long black hair.

It's nice but not clean you can see dust on stuf like tv and tables and coffeemaker, can't hartly find some one at front desk, bulding is nice, very convinient parking, this property is on a perfect spot BUT needs more attention on house keeping and employees duties.

Great staff, decent hotel - rooms need a refresh
I’ve stayed at this hotel multiple times for business in Greenwood. The staff is always great, super nice and very welcoming. The lobby is decent, but the rooms need a refresh. My room this time had a broken toilet paper holder and the shower is designed so that you have to be in it to turn it on.🙄

No issue with appearance of public areas and room. I was not happy with the inability to lower the temperature in my room beyond 72, and the chilly shower I had to take in the early morning. Shuttle didn't come on time, and I almost missed my flight despite the close proximity to the airport.

Hotel was on a busy strip but traffic noise was ok. The lobby smelled like smoke when I checked in. Apparently they allow smoking close to the front door and wind was blowing it in. Terrible! The bedding was not very clean. I really didn’t want to sleep on the bed. The coffee maker had a layer of dust on it. Housekeeping in general was lacking. The place needs a facelift,everything about it seemed a bit worn out.

Greenwood Hampton Inn
This was my first time at this Hampton Inn and we were not disappointed. The staff was very friendly. We had a problem with our shades not being able to go up. I called the front desk and someone came immediately to fix the problem. When in the area, my husband and I would definitely return to this hotel.

Clean, big room and great location
Nice, clean, big room. We had a king bed which left room for a nice couch and small table to relax in room. Bed was comfortable but pillows were very flat and aweful. Plenty of food options just steps away from hotel. Capri's Italian a 2 min walk. Room has fridge and microwave which was great because we had plenty of leftovers from Capri's. Foodlion just across the street. Overall a great location and really nice hotel.

Fun in Greenwood
The room was very clean and sanitized before our check in. The room next to us was taped off so as to not be booked. The coffee was very good. Pillows are amazingly comfortable.

It's just eh....
The facility is just "ok". There were several little issues that added up. The hotel advertised free breakfast but due to COVID what was provided daily was a bag with a water bottle, a small muffin, and an orange. One day there weren't enough for all the guests in my room. On day one, BOTH toilet paper holders fell off the cabinet they were attached to. Two of the wall hooks were dangling from the wall (useless). And the floor lamp in the room had no light bulb in it. When I got a light bulb for it from the front desk the lamp only worked when the cord plugged into the wall a certain way, if you touched the cord - the lamp stopped working. Best part of the hotel was we weren't in it very much during our stay, just to sleep and shower.

The experience on a whole was very disappointing. I complained to the front desk personnel where I spoke with (Emma Adams) over the phone and in person about several issues that I had with the facility. At first she said that I would not be charged for the night. However, when I checked out she said that she could not give me a refund because I reserved the room thru a third party. She offered points on my Hilton Honors account but I feel that I should not have to pay for this stay. On Saturday morning 7/13/19, my wife and I went into the dinning area for breakfast and there was a homeless man asleep in the dining area. It appeared that he had been there for sometime. After we sat down to eat, he was there at least 15 minutes before he decided to leave. After he left, he went out into the parking lot, then approached me and asked if I could spare some money. Also, we noticed that the back exit door on the 1st floor was propped open with a stick. This is a security/safety issue. Also, someone was using some type of construction equipment around 8:30 am on Saturday morning when the average guest is still asleep. It was so loud, that I could not even hear the TV. I actually recorded it so I could give to the desk when I complained. Also, the hall on the 2nd floor smelt like old carpet. My wife and I stay at Hampton Inn's 99% of our travels and we have never had a bad experience up until this point.

The hotel was under construction but our room smelled musty . We also were disturbed by some very loud unruly guests on our floor who were yelling and swearing til 1 am !!! I would say that the breakfast was less than average but the beds were comfortable and the staff was super nice !

I paid for the room here on hotels.com and was charged for the room a second time when I arrived. If I had not checked my bank statement online when I returned home, I would not have known. Their excuse for needing an imprint of my card was "in case of incidentals such as room service."

The room I stayed in needs to be updated. Also, some of the furniture had rotted spots indicative of a need for replacement. There were minor maintenance issues that need to be address such as a buzzing light in the shower, etc. However, overall it was a decent place to stay and I would consider staying there again. If it were in a bigger city with more options, I would likely opt for an alternative.

The Blooming Flower of Greenwood
The staff were welcoming, upon my request they kept my luggage at the front office while I waited for check-in time and was able to go and be with my family without having to keep lugging the items with me or being concerned that someone would be rifling through my belongings. The hotel truly exceeded my expectations. The decor was modern and nicely decorated, I was later informed they would be soon upgrading again, much to my surprise. *The hot breakfast and dining area was pristine and delightful, Again readily available staff were there to assist with even cooking your own waffle.

When we arrived at our hotel room, it smelled of heavy cigarette smoke. The front desk gave us a can of lysol, and it made it a little better. The staff should monitor the rooms better, before assigning a non-smoking room that reeks of cigarette smoke.
