To start, I want to say that this hotel is not three stars as advertised. I have been in two-star hotels and they look much better than this one. When we checked in, they told us that we had to pay a fee for my dogs and when we booked, they didn't say anything at all. That's well hidden even at the bottom of the page. They didn't even give us a discount because it was their fault that they didn't explain to us when we were checking out the rooms that we had to pay a separate charge for the dogs and we did the checking in at 8 pm very late but they didn't even care about an apology. They simply told us that we had done it through Hotel.com and that it was not their fault that, they had not explained to us, the disgusting carpets and the very dirty air conditioning.

They graciously allowed us to park our long 43’ trailer and truck in their parking lot. Both lady’s working the front desk were extremely courteous. Hotel appeared to be well taken care of. Room was nice and clean. Great place to stay.

The property was beautiful. The room was excellent and was big enough for two people. The sheets, pillows, and bed linings was comfortable, that made a good night rest. The breakfast area was clean and had a lot of different items to choose from. Front desk employee was helpful. The only thing that I did not like, when I asked the front desk employee about paying the hotel bill in cash, she stated that they do not accept cash payments.

Conveniently located off of Highway 85, but it smelled stale. Dirty carpets in hallway. Front desk person was smoking right outside the front door, and smoke wafed into the lobby. If you have allergies to perfume, as I do; strangely the sheets or pillows smelled of perfume. All in all, it was convenient to Highway.

Pretty decent

My first room was clean but the bed sheets in the second room I had to move to were dirty. There was a dirty piece of tissue stuck in the peephole, dust and cobwebs hanging from the ceiling.

It was, -OK! There was no housekeeping for the Fri - Sunday stay. Room smelled musty, and there was a tear in the sheets of the bed that should have been caught before making the bed after the last guest! So, it was just OK! Probably wouldn’t stay there again.

The hotel was good - no problems! We had our dog with us, and paid a $75 pet fee! We traveled from California and stayed at 5 other like-hotels along the way, paying no more than $25 for the pet fee. Is this the normal rate in SC?!!

I had a early morning flight. Called before to see if I can check in early. The manager said yes. When I got to the hotel the one running the front desk had an attitude about me being there so early. She kept reminding me how check in is at 3pm. So I kept reminding her that the manager said it would be ok. Finally was able to get to my room. Hallway carpet was disgusting and smelled spoiled. The room was pretty clean. Great mattress. Other than that it was a good stay.

The front desk staff was very friendly during check in. The breakfast was very good with many choices and the staff that was taking care of breakfast area, making sure everything was full and clean.
My ONLY complaint was how filthy the carpet was in the hallway on the second floor. Our room was very clean though. We will stay again when I visit my family in Chesnee.

Unfortunately this was perhaps the worst Hampton Inn I’ve stayed at. Normally I can count on a Hampton Inn to be clean and feel safe. Parking was poorly lit and far from the door. A family was camped out staying in their car with their children running the parking lot at 11pm. Overwhelming smell of cleaner at check in. Trash in the hallway in bags on the floor were there when I arrived and still there when I left. The smell in the morning from it was disgusting. The only positives were that my room was clean and the two employees I encountered were pleasant.

Below the Standard of other Hampton Inns
We had 2 primary issues with our stay.
First was the water temperature in the shower. The water temperature was lukewarm at best our first night (cold for me) and then warm the rest our stay despite turning the dial to hot.
Second was the breakfast. We have stayed at many Hampton Inns before and this one was the least satisfying. We usually look for Hampton Inns when we travel because of the breakfasts, and have a level of expectation based on past experiences at them. The breakfast at this one was on the low end relative to others.

The staff at the Hampton Inn Gaffney were amazing - incredibly friendly from the front desk staff to the breakfast host to the cleaners --- they made our stay fantastic. We brought our large dog with us and received a lovely welcome basket for him and all the staff was lovely to him/us. I would definitely stay here again!

We were passing through the area on the way home from Orlando. Chose this hotel based on the reviews. Check in was a breeze and the rooms were clean. We were given a list of local restaurants and also some coupons. The hot breakfast was great. There was an attendant keeping everything stocked, something I haven't seen since Covid. There were also grab n go bags for those who wanted them. Would definitely stay again.

Our experience was very good. Stopped on the way to UGA. Staff was very friendly and hard working. The free breakfast was satisfactory. Overall a very good stay. Daddy Joes was a dinner recommendation which was a must for BBQ.

Spoke with the manager at check-out about issues of water not draining from the tub in two different rooms and issues with the thermostat not working - the room remained cold. The manager made changes to the bill.

A peach of a hotel (see what I did there)!
This is one of the better Hampton Inns I have stayed at. It is very clean and the room I stayed in was spacious and comfortable.
The staff went above and beyond. I needed to have a package delivered while I was staying there. The desk clerk put a note on my account and made sure I received it as soon as it arrived. The room I was originally given did not have working A/C, so the staff was able to move me into another room after personally making sure the room was up to par. I cannot emphasize enough how much this hotel staff goes above and beyond. They were very friendly and helpful.
As for the room, A/C was good. (I'm a big guy -- I need that air!). The water pressure was fine. The pillows were all extremely soft, so if you like a firm pillow (as I do), come prepared with your own. My only complaint is that there was no noticeable slip protection in the shower. It was like ice skating in there and I almost fell once or twice.
The hotel is within a short distance of restaurants and gas stations. Breakfast was excellent with many choices of items. I enjoyed my stay here and would definitely rebook if I ever make it back to Gaffney.

Great staff!
All of the employees were very helpful. The breakfast bar ladies were amazing. The egg white frittatas were great. The front desk staff were helpful when we needed coffee for the room. The extra effort was really appreciated.

The room was not clean! The cloth chair had all different stains of different colors. They need to remove that chair from the room period. Bathroom door and counter still had fingerprints (possibly a female who used foundation makeup). The sad part is that it was an easy fix I wiped it with lysol wipes. Which means that no one even attempted to clean the room. I had to request new bedsheets As I found stains when I pulled the sheets back. The hotel carpets were disgusting All type of black stains all up-and-down the halls the moment you step off the elevator. I've used this hotel in the past and it was amazing so I was really surprised that I found these conditions during this day and I was really disappointed. Durring checkout i was only offered a few extra points on my account to compensate for the inconvenience.

It was very convenient from the Interstate, and had a very nice breakfast with friendly and helpful attendants. Cracker Barrel was nearby for dinner, shopping was close by, and it was just the best place for us to stay. Very quiet except for the occasional loud truck.

Expectations were low given the rating but was really bad. AC was not working, 79 degrees in room at 3am. TV did not work. Dirty everywhere. Gross food left in fridge from previous. Had a pool in the parking lot with over on it. Breakfast was hillarious. Chairs still up on tables at 8am. Warm OJ and apple juice and 1 muffin was laid out. That was it. Avoid if you can.

My boys were looking forward to swimming in the outdoor pool, but the pool remains closed. The room needed a good deep cleaning, but was ok for the short amount of time we actually spent in the room during our stay. The location of the hotel was great for us. We took advantage of the big E being so close and a couple of restaurants and outlet shopping.

The pool was closed after I called to make sure it would be open for my kids.
Gym closed as well and breakfast was bagged stuff nothing hot.. There was food in fridge upon arrival also which made our room smell like onions.Very disappointing .
