Promised a Pool
I booked this hotel so my 5 year old son could swim. At check in, my husband was told the pool was closed because the ceiling had collapsed. When my husband requested a discount on his room, the desk clerk claimed Hotels.com had been informed about the pool closure, so he and I would have to contact Hotels.com. Hotels.com only gave me a $25 credit. I had paid $185.73 for one night. I feel I should've received a $50 credit, considering my son became quite emotional when he learned the pool was closed.

Not staying here again
Was not pleased with the room accommodations and the loud helicopter noise out to the A/C unit. The bed was hard as a rock. The drawers kept opening up on their own between the two beds. The whole place needs to be remodeled. Definitely saw mold growing in the bathroom.

Bathroom hand soap dispenser was broken, two front desk staff members notified. One didn’t know what I was talking about and I quote: “I’ve never been in the rooms so I don’t know what it is”, and the second opened a supply closet for a replacement with no luck but told me he’d have a bar of hand soap in my room before we got back for the evening. Guess what? No bar soap either. In this day & age, I couldn’t get soap in a bathroom? You might want to de-visit this, Hampton Inn.

A courtyard between us well it’s more like a alley
I prepaid for two Rooms and called ahead requesting joining rooms for my children and myself but upon arrival did not receive the joint rooms I requested and called and tried to confirm like the ad said to do in fact the desk person told me they had it set up but gave it away. I was very upset about that she was about to give myself and children rooms on different floors until I said that was unacceptable. I’m very surprised that they did that when Hilton has a commercial advertising joining rooms and didn’t understand why the clerk thought it was ok to separate myself from my YOUNG CHILDREN. At the end we were next to each other but NOT together as a family I was very disappointed other than that the stay was fine

The fastest check in experience I’ve had in a very long time. I did not catch his name BUT he was fast, friendly and informative. Very up front about services and ammenities and offered list of nearby restaurants without being asked.

I had read reviews about the hotel's dates decor but what they failed to mention is the entire hotel is old. I live in an old farmhouse and my floors make less noise then the ones in the room I stayed in. The bed was also very noisy, the wood frame just creaked at any slight movement. The room was quite dim even though there were 6 lamps on but I think that is due to the dark paint/floor and the use of yellow bulbs. Breakfast was atrocious, the only thing that was good was the yogurt and potatoes. Sausage tasted like pork fat and the apple cinnamon muffins tasted like perfume. I would pay a little bit more to stay at one of the nicer hotels located within walking distance of this one.

Okay for one night
Only problem was the nighttime staff was very standoffish and didn’t act like they wanted to be there. The morning staff they were great and super friendly. The room itself was old headrest walls or dirty hair in the sink was not clean properly.

Hampton Inn has been a nice brand name that can be sustained with an update of the physical facilities and adequate number of staff to ensure basic supplies like hot water, coffee, hot chocolate stuff are constantly provided in this location. The lobby area of this property is very small and narrow that compromised the typical view of a Hampton Inn to be nice and professional. Instead, I would use "run-down" and "inadequate" to describe my 2-day stay experiences that were more comparable with a Motel 6. Part of the sidewalk leading up to the entrance from the parking lost was very icy. The staff members were very pleasant but appeared to be overworked. I would describe the property as inadequate and unworthy of the cost. For years I have chosen only Hampton Inn for travel as it ensured a sense of consistency of quality. This stay changed my conviction. I feel very sorry for the lost confidence.

When checking in they tried charging another $500 for the stay. Unsure where the miscommunication was but we had already paid for it on Expedia. When getting up to the room we noticed there was about 1.5 inch gap at the bottom of the door into the hallway, the toilet would clog multiple times, the children across the hall were very loud and running up and down the hallway, the bed was very very squeaky, the walls had obvious stains and dust gathered up on it as well as stains in the carpet.

I booked a king with sleepover sofa, paid for that room type which they didn’t have there. Sheets and comforter were paper thin, only one extra thin blanket, very little soap and other items. Hotel was older and in need of updating. Staff was very friendly. Was very disappointing for $300 a night. Shame on you Hilton!

They don't wash their mattress pads, change the sheets or wash their top duvet sheet. There was semen or pee on the mattress pad. The sheets had stains all over them. The top duvet/sheet had something brown all over it. Out of 8 pillows, 6 of them had blood, slobber and who knows what else all over the pillows .I had to sleep on a towel, because when I informed the front desk they said they were full for the night and they didn't have any spare pillows. The next morning the assistant general manager said they have brand new pillows and she gave us 2. I will never sleep on a hotel pillow again. Pillows are cheap and they should be thrown out when blood gets on them. If they would put pillow protectors on them that are waterproof, the pillows wouldn't get stained. The maids aren't doing their job. We will never stay here again. They did give us our money back.

Staff was the best I have ever had at a hotel! I was with a cane and the maintenance man helped me unpack my cat and took it all to my room. I couldn’t believe it!!!! I ordered DoorDash and the driver delivered it to the hotel across the street. A staff member ran across the street at brought back my order for me. I was speechless….. Thank You Hampton Inn Tinley Park, IL. I will be back!!!!!

Overall it was a fine hotel. Great breakfast buffet, definitely a huge highlight. Beds were comfy and the air conditioner was super cold! Only complaint is that the walls were very thin, so we heard yelling and screaming all night from a group of guys partying below us. Luckily, we could drown out most of it with the AC unit running all night. And don’t leave any type of open food in the room, we did find tons of ants coming from the window. I did alert the front desk the next morning so they were aware! Overall, nice property!

Doors are broken. Literally had to aait fir staff to let us in from outside at 12:30 am. Our tub leaked onto the floor. Looks like the room was out of the 70s. Pillows were paper thin feather pillows. Staff on the other hand...amazing!

Amazing staff
The staff was amazing upon check in. They were in the middle of shift change. Instead of delay our check in the person that was leaving checked us in so the new person coming on was able to login. They made my family feel welcomed for our impromptu extended night (due to inclement weather).
However the condition of the hotel leaves a lot to be desired. It was an older hotel that has not been updated in some time. There was an odor that even my kids voiced concern about. I honestly would not stay here again.
But the staff were top notch!

The room wasn’t very clean. The bathroom sink hadn’t been wiped down and the mirror was dirty still also. The carpet in the room definitely hadn’t been vacuumed as there were hairballs and miscellaneous debris on the floor. Just kinda gross and I didn’t want to walk around on the floor without shoes on. Luckily I was working most of the time so I only spent a small amount of time in the room. Wouldn’t recommend unless cleaning practices were severely updated.

The night check-In clerk was very rude and short with me. My room was not in cleanish state that it should have been. My sister and her family actually checked for this very reason and went to another hotel. Very disappointed with my stay for the holidays.

The staff were friendly, and breakfast was hot (too bad no one was hungry enough to enjoy much of it), but it was disappointing that both the pool and the ice machine were out of order. I booked this place specifically so the kids could swim in the pool. Hope they will fix this, or if this is more long term, that their website not advertise a pool.

The toilet flooded twice an I had to plunged it and once we had to wait for a maintenance man to clear it. After the floor had waste water on the floor an we had to clean it with towels since we could not get someone from housekeeping to clean it till the next day. The refrigerator froze everything we put it.
All in all it was a very poor experience.
However the staff was very nice and pleasant.
I have stayed in many Hampton in’s over the years and liked them very much this was the worst.

Good clean hotel. Check in was 2 hours behind due to staffing. The mattress should be replaced had springs digging in my back and I’m only 110 pounds. Other than that it was nice clean and quiet .

Arrived around 4:45 . Front desk was empty waited till a woman showed up. Ask for my room , not available for a hour. Had appt at 530 was given a small Dbl instead of my leisure king I had reserved. Went to room and it was next to elevator and ice machine.. Room was not sealed or totally done. Only had 1 towel. Was noisy that night!

This property is dated and needs new carpet in the rooms badly. The bathroom suffered from a lot of patches and bad caulk jobs. We had spiders and other bugs we dealt with in the room, mainly the bathroom. I asked for a "high" floor and got first floor, so not sure if that attributed to bugs (I don't think I've ever stayed on the first floor of a hotel!). Although this all sounds bad, overall the stay wasn't the worst we've had, but it was surprising for this hotel chain. The staff were super nice, the breakfast in the morning was great and towels and linens and the general housekeeping was great.
