Room was out of 1970. Holes in carpet. No coffee stirrers in room with coffee stuff. Bed was a 2 out of 10. Elevator door barely opens (takes like 30 seconds). Just a run down place.

The room was fairly comfortable. The staff were friendly and it was clean. The room had a persistent order that didn’t appear to have a source. It just smelled musty and there was no way to get better ventilation or alleviate the smell.

Romantic getaway
I recently had the pleasure of staying at this hotel, and I must say it was a truly comfortable and clean experience. The professionalism of the staff was evident throughout my stay. The room was immaculate, and the attention to detail in cleanliness was commendable. The staff went above and beyond to make my stay enjoyable, and their professionalism was consistently on display. I Holiday Inn an Crestwood is somewhere I visit at least twice a month sometimes so it's obvious that I like it however, this visit was the worst I've ever had. I had just gotten out of the tub and decided I wanted to watch television only to see that the television did not work, I couldn't take a bath because the stopper in the tub did not go all the way down so I had to stick towels in the drain in order to take a bath. When I went to turn on the television, it didn't work so I called downstairs and I asked if they could bring batteries for the remote there was a young lady that told me no sweetie. You have to come down yourself and get the batteries, I said, first of all my name is not sweetie and I'm probably old enough to be your mother and you need to address me as such. She got smart with me over the phone being very combative. There was a nice young man that came upstairs with batteries for the remote and I was able to watch television I've decided to go downstairs to address the young lady for calling me sweetie and to tell her that wasn't professional. She ended up again being very combative. Another young lady decided to join in on her side, telling me how they didn't have to bring batteries up after a certain time I explain to her head rooms been checked you would've known that my TV was not working properly and that my tub did not stop up properly. I ended up coming upstairs very upset, and my whole night was ruined.

Breakfest was terrible. Out of many items hot & cold. This was @8:55am on Sunday. Breakfast served till 10:30am. Hotel employee was sitting in dining area just talking with a friend. Carpeting in room was very dirty looking. In need of an update. Better management would help.

The property does not do daily housekeeping. I was brought up sheets and had to make my own bed and change my own garage and set it outside my door. I was charged full price for each day as they still blame it on Covid. I had to ask for fresh towels rack day of my 5 day stay. When I finally had enough and spoke to a manager she said she would make it “worth my while “ and was apologetic but nothing no credit nothing absolutely terrible!!!!!!

Filthiest Hotel Ever!!!!!
The dirtiest hotel I’ve ever stayed in! You could write in the dust in the room. The floor in the breakfast area was so greasy my son could slide around in his sneakers. The back tub look like it came from a construction site and the AC sounded like a dying lawn mower. Seriously gross! Not a single carpet look like it had been vacuumed in a while. Very disgusting. Elevator smelled like vomit. I could go on but I feel this is enough.

The property was run down and needs a thorough cleaning. The sheets smelled musty and I didn’t trust walking bare foo on the carpet. Cars in the parking lot had their windows smashed in during the night. We were relying on the continental breakfast and it didn’t open during their posted/advertised hours.

Great staff. Only downside was that no one serviced our room on our 2nd day of the our 3 night stay. We had to confiscate toilet paper from the mens bathroom. Otherwise it was good.

Confusing info and a dirty room
We stayed at this hotel to just get away for a night. The website said the pool was open 9-6 pm and we knew by the time we arrived that it wouldn’t be open, however when we arrived (almost 9:30), we were told it was open until 10 and that I was wrong about the website. The room we stayed in was dirty and had stains on the ceiling! How and why does that happen and get missed. The sink was chipped and stained and thermostat was broken.

Was surprised by overall maintenance/cleaningness vs Holiday Inn standards, Express is clearly inferior. They actually clean room only after third day. I did asked for my to be cleaned and get fresh towels on 3rd day but it wa snot done. Phone in room was not working, lights were blinking. Breakfast was very basic

Not modern...phone charging was 2 prong? So i hadnt brought my 2 prong device I wouldnt be able to charge phone....Although bathroom cleaned I could tell not really....dirt, scum in corner floor tiles, foot stand soiled/stained

I am a gold member of Hotels.com, and this was the worst experience ever. I was So Embarrased when it came time for me to check in. The lobby was crowded, and when it was time for me, to check in, my reservation was not paid, for I had paid in advance as I always do and it took over an hour for me to just even talk to someone over the phone. By the time I got everything situated, I have spent almost 2 hours in the lobby of the hotel. Most embarrassing experience ever.

We were truly disappointed by this particular Holiday Inn property. Our room had a poor quality mattress, our bathroom wall had water damage that had not been repaired, and the floor wasn’t even level. At breakfast we went at 9:15 am, when served until 10:30. There were no cinnamon rolls. Even waited for half and hour and only saw the attendant once, to bring sausages, during a busy time. Water needed refilled in the machine, the oatmeal was like thick paste too. Thoroughly disappointed by this property and will not be back.

You Get What You Pay For
2-night stay in a double room - room looked decent in the dark, but once the lights were on and the sun came in through the window you could see all the dust and dirt spots covering the room. The room smelled fine, but it was in need of a thorough deep cleaning. Toilet paper roll was nearly empty and 3 kleenex were shoved in the holder. Hair dryer didn't work, a light bulb was burned out, and the wifi was out for over 12 hours without the front desk realizing it. The bed pillows were useless and we ended up balling up our flat sheets which worked a lot better.
Breakfast was not spectacular - juice machine was broken, coffee creamer was empty, hot items seemed overcooked. Decent selection of carbs. Fresh fruit was past its prime. But the coffee was hot and the fridge items were nice and cold.
Front desk staff was attentive and pleasant. Breakfast staff and janitor were engaging. Bathroom towels were fluffy.

Don’t spend your money on this place. The only good thing about this place is how kind and cheerful the staff is. The hotel and rooms are in very poor condition. The AC/heater in our room didn’t work, the mattresses were very old, and the furniture was literally chipping off. Also i didn’t even have housekeeping visit or clean my room not once the whole time I was there and had to keep disposing of the garbage in our room. This hotel needs some major renovations as even the carpet is disgusting. I will never stay here again.

Needs to be updated, new outlets
Only one outlet worked in the whole hotel room. The room is outdated except the Tv. Room was very smaller -smaller than your average room. Stains on the carpet. Pool area was nice.

Not sure why this gets such good reviews. The positive: Lobby was clean, staff was friendly, and breakfast was good. The negative: hallways dirty and carpet coming up, noisy, fitness center poor (incomplete set of free weights, 2 of the machines not working, no TVs), deferred maintenance issues in bathroom. Just an ok place.

We were booked into a room NYE that smelt like sewage. I asked the front desk clerk to move us and he told me they were completely sold out but can switch me the next day. His only solution was to hand me a can of frebreeze. Gross! Unfortunately, being NYE we were stuck with no other options on our night stay. The next day we changed rooms and were told that the room we were given should have never been occupied because they knew of this issue earlier. We were also told that another room was available and we should have been offered that at the time. Never again Holiday Inn. Sorry but you lost a customer on this one.

Awesome Hotel
I was there 2days for my Grandson’s 11th Birthday along with my 3 nephews and the entire stay was AWESOME! From the hot chocolate in the lobby to the Clean pool area to the great rooms, everything was Perfect. The Staff is AMAZING! Great hospitality ❤️

The bed and pillows were extremely comfy. The hotel was clean and easy to find. The shower had poor flow of water and hardly any hot water. Carpet was torn and badly stained near refrigerator that I was not sure if it was working. I would stay at this hotel again just maybe not in that room.

It's too bad Design for pool isn't handicapped friendly. So door entrance 15' from pool too cold to use. The tile floors were washed everywhere I had to go. Very dangerous for seniors. House keeping didn't knock at 9:30 to (clean) . Glad I had clothes on.

The hotel is a craphole. When i checked in, the hotel staff was very nice so no issues there. The hotel seems run down.. I tried to get a workout in and both treadmills were broken and the elliptical didn't work well. Dont even advertise you have a workout room. Since i travel to Crestwood a few times a month for work, i'm going to stay at the DoubleTree instead.

I requested to have my room cleaned with more towels and emptying my trash. I was told it had to be requested the night before, but would get me more towels and empty our trash. It never happened. Also the snack machines were broken and couldn’t use.

This was okay stay. The service desk provided me wrong room number in which my key would not work. I went downstairs twice to get my key activated. Once I was able to get in the room there was someone already in room based off a bag in bed and room key on the counter. Thank God the person wasn’t in the room. The manager stated she was sorry about that provided me a new room. In this room the tv would not come on, went down twice for manager to provided me replacement room. This was hot mess of an experience. I haven’t stayed at this location since 2020 but it much better then.

The hotel needs a lift. The staff were very nice but very short-staffed. Breakfast was nice. Broken hair dryer and was told there were no extra hair dryers and nothing they could do. Later in the day I asked again and the front desk found one for me in minutes.

Very good hotel overall. Room was comfortable and quiet. Really like the shopping and dining in area. Holiday inn breakfasts used to be very good but with no cinnamon rolls now is declining in quality. But it is still better than most value hotels.

Love this Holiday Inn!!! Friendly staff!! Super clean!! Nice location. I stayed at the holiday inn in Skokie a few weeks. Had a horrible stay. This location redeemed the Name lol Would definitely recommend for people with children too. The kids seem to enjoy the pool.

We didn't arrive until after 8 in the evening and it was clear they overbooked the hotel. The front desk staff away very friendly and she did scrounge up a room for us. We got to the room and the floor wasn't even closed. It was proped open by the door latch. We went in and the carpet was very dirty and torn up in places. The sofa had multiple stains and the carpet was gummy feeling. After the chaos the front desk seemed to endure trying to find us a room we reserved weeks in advance and the lateness of the evening we decided to tough it out. This was not what I normally expect for a $300 room even in Chicago areas. It's not the front desk staff's fault but the room conditions were not up to par. I will be contacting Holiday Inn corporate with photos.

All the workers we encountered were very friendly and helpful. They were always happy to help. The beds were a little firm for my liking. The only major problem we had were that our keys never seemed to work. Luckily, the front desk ladies were always helpful and got us on our way quickly.

I came with high expectations as I have frequented Holiday in the past. I am a seasoned hospitality veteran with over 25 years in restaurants, hotels, and airlines so I know what good service entails. This property used to be a Hampton Inn therefore the rooms are small and the overall property doesn't have the feel and ambiance of a Holiday Inn; the lighting is a bit dark. At breakfast the kitchen employee was very rude and argumentative. Breakfast time was over at 930 unbeknownst to me and I just wanted a few items for my children. The kitchen employee argued me down and was extremely rude. She called her manager (whom was very nice and helped from her bed as she was off). The aide gave me milk but refused yogurt even though it was right next to it. She lacked any empathy or friendliness that is paramount when working customer service. Iesha the desk agent seemed lazy and unbothered and blamed me insisting the situation was my fault. A HUGE NO NO in customer service. Devin the manager however was a rock star from the very beginning from checking me in to handling the situation once he came in. He did discount my room due to the situation. He definitely deserves a handsome promotion and is significantly more professional and pleasant than anyone else that I encountered. Although he discounted my room I left very unsatisfied and shortened my stay by a day. Devin is phenomenal but I will NEVER visit that property and discourage anyone from doing so.

This is a nice hotel, just old. The staff could not have been nicer or more helpful. The breakfast was very good, and they had a nice selection of hot and cold foods. I would definitely stay here again, if in this area.
