Disappointed in Service
The showerhead in the bathroom is made for people under 6 foot tall even though there were more than 18 inches above the showerhead, they could’ve raised it up. Stay two nights and they did not come in and make the bed or check for towels between nights.

Another Pleasant Visit!!
Accomadations were very good. Even though we couldn't get a bottom floor, we were close to the elevator. House-
keeping was there to assist us without bothering us. Front desk was prompt and the breakfast was warm food and in good supply. We will be back.

Good turn out
My stay was great. The room was really clean and the associates were awesome. I only had one problem(my dad was locked in the bathroom). The door was already damaged(we didnt know) so when he closed the door it locked him in there. The associates were quick to act and resolve the problem. He has a heart monitor so we were worried but after 30 min he was qble to come out and after a room switch qll was well the rest of the night.

Very tired property. Below par for Hampton Inn. Building needs updates. Hallways were dark and dated.
Parking was very limited - had to park in very back lot and didn't feel safe walking to front entrance.

I was hesitate after reading reviews. But staff was amazing. Room was very clean, lots of well lit parking and Starbucks around the corner. Easy drive to WiilyB stadium. Booked again for graduation 2024.

The staff was so friendly and helped us quickly on numerous occasions. Breakfast was really good. Room was clean. We have stayed in several hotels in the area. This is my new favorite. A bit farther from the school than I wanted but totally worth it!

thankful to find somewhere for my family and i to escape to for a weekend but the cleanliness was very disappointing. hair everywhere, in the beds and all over the bathroom floor when we first checked in. made sense when we passed by a room with the door propped during checkout and saw a room cleaner sitting on the counter top in the room

The carpet in the room smelled like it hasn’t been cleaned…. Not vacuuming. The mattress is the worst. I requested a late check out when I reserved my room. On the morning of check out I was told to ask the cleaning person in the hallway because they were short staffed housekeepers. OMG!! I will never be back and I will warn anyone travel there to go to the Hampton on Harridburg.

GREAT STAY
A one night stay in Columbia for zoo and shows at the Planetarium. Easy access to interstate and plenty of food choices nearby. Breakfast was good and coffee tea in lobby all day pool nice .Would stay again clean rooms with everything u need and a safe area

Despite the friendly staff, I would not stay at this hotel again. The property was in poor shape with peeling paint, visible black mold, water damaged walls, and stains galore (floors, chairs, and bedding). I’m surprised this hotel would even pop up on Expedia’s website.

This property is staffed by very nice people, but the place needs to be fixed up. Cracked counters, worn out carpets and a serious need for a fresh paint job are in order. Also, once I was checked in, no one came to make a bed or clean anything up during my entire stay. I think there are better options in the area for this price or less.

When we got back from dinner our floor was soaking wet by the HVAC unit. It was late so we just put our stuff on the desk/chair to dry it out and reported it in the morning. Was disappointed that nobody asked if we had any damage or apologized for the issue. Things happen but a simple I'm sorry would have made this a LOT better.

Disappointed.
The hotel was fine in and of itself. The main problem was that the drape does not cover the entire window due to the air unit. It was very bright outside all night and let way too much light into the room to get a good night sleep. We slept horribly. This would have been an excellent review if we could have just blocked the entire window from outside light.

The room was too small for the advertised amenities. We couldn't even open the refrigerator door all the way- it hit the bed. You had to walk sideways to get passed the bed since there was not enough room.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room was clean, needs a few minor touch up renovations/repairs (scuffed walls, furniture is dated). The hallways need to be cleaned and vacuumed. Breakfast was ok, there weren’t a lot of options. Parking lot was well lit and easy to navigate

Room was extremely small which was very difficult to walk around without stubbing your toes. Bugs (Ladybug) crawling up the wall and ceiling. Toilet uncleaned which led to the belief, the entire room was uncleaned. One elevator not working while there; cause the other elevator not to going to floor where needed. Needed to request water from front desk. Carpet required vacuuming or perhaps, replaced. On the whole, the stay was very displeasing. Will NEVER stay again!

Do yourself a favor and keep scrolling!! The room had no heat. Called the front desk and the lady asked me if I pressed the power button to turn it on as if I am incompetent. She came to the room and still asked childish questions and assumed that her click of the button turned the unit on with me already telling her that the heat has been turned up to the max. She proceeded to say that the maintenance man is off on weekends and they were sold out for the night and they can refund if I like. The room got pretty cold in the night. The unit never turned on and stayed with an error message.
The bathroom had nets and mold all over the ceiling. The tub was dirty and shower walls had dirt spots.
Do not stay here!

GREAT place for USC fans or parents traveling with pets! This Hampton Inn is just off I-26, is not actually on any busy roads (kindof tucked behind Chris Road), and it’s approx 8-10 minutes directly to Huger St. and campus. Extremely welcoming, kind & helpful staff throughout. Several secure hotel entry options make it easy to park closer to room location for loading-unloading, main entrance is covered if it’s raining. All interior, secure room entry. Rooms include a larger fridge, microwave and mini coffee maker, but are very small for all the furniture. Mine did not have a closet, just a curtained area with a vertical bar. It would be tough for multiple or larger guests maneuvering in narrow areas in between bed & furniture. Nice updates in bathroom, plenty of towels (yay!), strong shower pressure. And PET FRIENDLY (with fee)! Free breakfast was a good variety every day: an eggs/sausage or bacon combo offered, oatmeal or grits, several bread & pastry options, self-prep Belgian waffles, coffees, juices. Plenty of free parking onsite, and free wifi. Starbucks across from entrance, WaHo, McDonalds, CVS, Truist bank (drive up ATM), Salsarita’s Mexican and more all nearby.

Location was convenient for our needs. Staff was friendly, breakfast was good. The building was not kept up too well. Our bathroom was not very clean - hair on the floor and on clean folded towels, splatters on the bathroom door and mirrors, and an unknown white substance on the ottoman. Thankfully the sheets and pillows looked clean, so we didn’t complain.

We are frequent users of Hampton Inns for their value, service and cleanliness. This property really disappointed us in a major way. From arrival (curb appeal) to departure, this stay has made us question the advertising of this, and perhaps other Hampton properties. We were in town for one night to attend a college football game and properties were hot commodity. This place was sold out. We had few options and went with this hotel because we know Hampton. To be clear, the staff was very courteous and friendly. This property needs attention in a major way.

check-in was fine. About 2am we realized the heater was not really working, I was cold. No one answered the phone at the front desk. The bed was hard as a rock. When we went to check out at 7:30 and complained, he told us "we would need to wait for the manager for any amount of refund. She would be in at 9am." We needed to get back on the road, so we left.

The service and location was good for me but the cleanliness and the size of the room was not. I had a king bed and there was just enough room between the bed and the dresser for me to squeeze through and I had to use the floor to open suitcases.

All employees were super nice and helpful which was great and in my stay there was no noise, pretty calm , my only issue would be that my door wasn’t closed when I got to room, so I was weird out by that not knowing if the house keeping had come by. The bathroom had a weird smell and the toilet seat was a bit dirty with idk what. The door was also hard to shut because I.T would drag on the bottom. The breakfast was nice, they had lots of diff options to choose from.

Hair in my bed
We checked in on Friday, everything was fine. We got to our room and what a mess. Crumbs on the floor, hair in the bed, toilet was dirty, toothpaste in the sink. I called front desk and instead of moving us to a clean room she opted to send someone to change our sheets 🙄 if it wasn’t parents weekend, and there was another room available in a 20 mile radius this is would not have been tolerated. The man who came to our room was amazing in his defense. He changed our sheets, cleaned the toilet. But that’s it. I would NOT recommend this hotel. I would definitely never stay at a Hampton inn again. Worst experience ever.

Not Your Normal Hampton Inn

Worst Hampton Ever
The walls are like paper. I could hear everything my neighbor said to his wife on the phone. They give you one wash cloth and one bath towel. No soap or shampoo. The breakfast was the skimmpiest I’ve ever seen at a Hampton. I asked for the warm cookies. They told me that only Double Tree did that! I guess the other 200 Hampton Inns I use, didn’t get that memo. I put out the do not disturb sign. They banged on my door at 8:15am. I yelled at them. They knocked on my door 2 more times and called my room twice before 9:15am. Employee’s were talking negatively about their tight wad Boss in front of guests. This is my first totally bad experience at a Hampton

The staff at this hotel was very friendly and helpful. My room and bathroom were very clean and comfortable and the hotel was quiet. My only complaint is that I would’ve liked to use the outdoor pool except that there were leaves at the bottom. You could still swim in it but it definitely needed to be vacuumed. Otherwise this was an excellent experience! And the selection for breakfast was awesome!

Nope…not again.
The first room I was given…dirty wash clothes still behind the bathroom door and tub would not drain.
2nd room…wall thermostat didn’t work and a/c display was messed up. Bathroom wasn’t in the cleanest condition. Rust and mold. Bathroom vent didn’t work. Had to bathe with the door open.
Bed was firm and air was cold. That’s about the only positives I can say.

Front desk : Shawn was very professional with a personal touch . Very good !
Room was not what I booked though. I booked a room with two double beds and got one with just a King. We were short in time and I know the front desk was busy so we didn’t bother getting it changed.
Also finding the previous guest Epipenn kit in the micro fridge was unsettling and we obviously didn’t handle any further because it gives the impression that the fridges are are not being checked or cleaned after each stay which is unsatisfactory.

My room was VERY small. I booked at one price and was charged another. No food Saturday morning and had to wait 20 minutes for some. Staff that brought the food was very unfriendly. Cleaning crew woke me up at 7:00 Am with slamming doors and talking loudly. Then kept knocking after I told them no thank you. Then kept receiving calls from someone downstairs but nobody there when I answered. HORRIBLE experience.

Never stay here again
I was charged an extra $50 on arrival because I had a dog. There was no mention of a pet fee on line when I booked the room. All it said was pet were allowed The sound proofing for the room was horrible. We could hear every person who went by our room and were kept awake late into the night. The room was tiny for the price and the carpet was dirty. Overall a very disappointing stay.
