The photos online show an indoor pool and waterside. As soon as we checked in the young guy working says “yeah everybody is getting mad because the pictures online don’t match the hotel”. He goes on to explain how it’s been bought out and those amenities are no longer available. He then says yeah and our restaurant is down. The workers were nice and all but then she said well your kids can play board games. Which was nice but really not a great comparison. The sheets and duvet were stiff as a board and the pillows were flat. It is a good location.

I am only giving this review because there was nothing to do. We came down to go to the indoor pool ,for my daughter’s birthday, that was pictured on google when we looked up the website. We had been at this location before and really enjoyed the pool. When we got there they told us they don’t own the property with the pool that is still on the website. They had mini golf but everything is frozen. The hotel was nice and did fine if I was just needing a hotel. It was very disappointing.

Wonderful place to stay
We had an amazing stay with friends. The staff go above and beyond to make sure you feel welcome and made the stay fun. The night receptionist hides little ducks around for the kids to find. So much fun! We enjoyed our stay.

We were able to check into our room early. It is a little hard to find because the sign is not up yet up yet. However once we found the entrance the motel was clean & inviting , our room was very nice .

Nice price, nice staff. Disappointed restaurant was closed for renovations. One of our rooms was not ready even though we were given the key, but the staff took care of it quickly. Overall a nice place to stay.

Too many issues
Arrived at night , given room that had broken heater / blower that would not shut off. Staff were nice and attempted to correct but eventually moved to another room across the hall. Rooms very tight on space and even with minimal luggage, tight space. Hotel under renovation.,maintenance man did his best, other staff seemed indifferent.,

I stayed here years ago when it was the Welk Resort and it was great. I really didn’t spend much time in the hotel as it was Veteran’s Week in Branson. The only reason I gave a couple of 3 stars is because it needs updating, especially the carpets. The staff was very friendly, check in & out easy. It is at the other end of town away from the traffic (closer to Silver Dollar City) so it’s pretty quiet. Had a nice display that week out in front with the Vietnam Wall and wreathes to honor the Veterans.

Property and room were clean, the staff was very friendly and helpful. Like others have mentioned there is no signage with the hotel name. It would have been extremely hard to find if I had not read a review mentioning that. A temporary banner type sign somewhere in front of the hotel might be beneficial. Would stay here again.

It's reasonably clean and affordable. Our TV didn't work, so we were moved to a room where the TV also didn't work. At that point we were too exhausted to fuss about it. The staff was polite, but not completely competent. Check in took quite a while and they seemed pretty flustered when we needed to change rooms. As hotels go, it's just ok.

What is advertised is not what you get!! The room looks so nice in the pictures.. it’s not. There was no hot coffee in the lobby, nor bar or restaurant!! When I checked in, the lady said there would be a breakfast buffet… incorrect! Nothing! Checkout is 10 not 11! The name of the hotel is not anywhere on the building! Just very disappointed in what I thought I was getting, and what I actually got!

When we arrived, other guests were in the lobby that had been waiting for a while to check in. They had been ringing the bell, even made a call. Someone finally came to check us all in. They were off doing something else and left the desk unattened. We were there late October when the weather was changing to colder weather. When we would turn the heat on a little, after a few minutes it would turn to freezing cold air. We told them at the desk, they said they checked it, but it did that our 5-night stay. The Resort has changed hands and been split up. Room rates has gone up. It seems as if the water slide area may no longer be part of the Hotel. Plus, they have been working on it forever!! Now, they say it will be finished in June 2024. This is a great asset for the Hotel for families. Also, the breakfast was very good and quick to be served but would be nice to have a free breakfast with your stay like most hotels. We have been staying at what use to be The Welk for several years and have enjoyed it. We hope we can continue.

This hotel did not have a sign outside indicating the name of the hotel, so had to verify inside if it was the hotel. Then my room was not ready and I had to wait past check in time. The room was nice enough but they need to make some updates.

Won’t be a repeat customer
Starting with the good- rooms and lobby were clean and nice, the staff was kind especially the housekeeper and restaurant staff, the breakfast buffet was tasty and very reasonably priced, the facility as a whole has great potential.
Now the bad-online shows check-in at 4 and their signage shows 3. We arrived after 4 but our rooms weren’t ready til around 440. Being in a tourist town you would think the hotel would be prepared for customers needing to attend their timed ticketed events. No apology was given, they just kept extending the time that our room would be ready. No offer to even hold our luggage until we got back. That entire encounter put a bad taste in my mouth and is reason enough for me to no longer stay at this hotel. There is no signage on the hotel to let you know you’re at the correct place. Depending on what time you arrive, it looks like a vacant run down theater. The building that houses the restaurant could be more inviting. It currently looks like you might be murdered on the way to breakfast but clearly I’m willing to take that risk for food. I asked if the hotel was recently opened and was informed the new owners took over july 1st. That’s nearly 4 months to work out the kinks so that’s disappointing.

We had someone open our door because “the system” assigned another customer to our room and given them a key card. Also, they do not have signs telling you the name of the hotel so you don’t know if you are at the right place.

Do not waste your money on breakfast here. It is a complete ripoff. It was the same slop you get at a cheap motel but we were led to believe it was good. Just watery gravy and fake scrambled eggs. Never again!!

The property was very clean. My one complaint is there is ZERO signage. We drove around for 30 minutes trying to figure out where to go because there isn’t a single sign for the hotel. But it was very clean and the staff were super kind. My husband did his morning walk around the property and felt safe.

Overall our stay was ok. The hotel staff was kind and cleanliness was good but we consistently encountered little issues throughout the stay. Getting to the property was very confusing. The campus had signs that said “check-in” but lead to other hotel properties/areas. There was not even a hotel name sign on their main check-in building. Our room did look relatively modern and clean (like their pictures) but our TV did not work. The only option to remedy this was to move to another room, which was hard for us as we had already completely unpacked, have young kids and it was getting late. According to our provided Hotel info sheet, that did let us know they were under new management, it noted we can request playing cards and family games at the front desk but when we did this the hotel associate couldn’t find any. They also had some lawn games on-site but those were noted on the info sheet only to be utilized before dark. As it’s October and it gets dark earlier we were not able to use these amenities. The hotel served breakfast but it was on the opposite side of the main building. The restaurant itself appeared more like an outdated banquet hall. Though the waitstaff were extremely friendly and helpful and the buffet offered a good variety, the actually food was unfortunately not good. I wish I could give a better review as it’s lobby/rooms looked more modern and pleasing compared to most properties in the area and the staff was kind, I can only say our stay was just okay.

I liked that we felt like we were not in a city environment and there wasn't a lot of traffic, yet we were 15 minutes at most away from everything. One strange thing though is the floor in the room seemed to slant, at least it felt that way when we walked around the room feeling off balance a little. But the room was nice and I liked that they had an electrical hub with a clock for extra outlets. I would stay there again.

Upon our arrival the first night, my husband checked in for us, we went up to find that our room was located on the 3rd floor directly above the Porte cache. Considering the occupancy I am sure there were other rooms available that were in better condition. the room was not cleaned well, our toilet jiggled on the floor as if the subfloor was not sturdy and the toilet seat itself kept slipping off one side or the other. The ice machine on the 3rd floor seems to be from sometime in the late 60's to early 70's. possibly the room assignment may have been due to the fact that my husband booked it through expedia, neverthess, the level of service should not have been any different than any other guest however, it felt like a punishment of sort. Every single time, without fail, I had to speak to the front desk agent first before any acknowledgement was offered back to me. On our way out the last day, the one woman just stared at me and the gentleman was busy speaking with another customer, I finally said "Thank you" as I was leaving through the sliding glass doors before either one of them acknowledged us in any way. Improvements to the property look to be in the lobby only, it does not seem to go anywhere else on the property, this property is very truly a beautiful property if only it could be brough back to the majesty it must have been in it's hayday. I doubt we will ever stay at this property again. Our room number was 302, truly should be the very last room you rent out.

Hotel in Death Spiral
This was our third family trip to this hotel. The amenities that drew us there are gone or in severe disrepair. The big pool and water park advertised is permanently closed and has been since Oct 22, Hillside guests no longer have access to the playrooms and family games. The mini golf course is a disaster and unplayable even for a 10 year old. Rooms are still nice, but probably less than 20% full due to above reasons

Not as advertised. Very run down, the mini golf attraction was unkempt, pool was not open the first night but was by Saturday so we swam in the murky water; but we're very careful of the handle on the steps that was barely bolted to the ground and almost fell in multiple times as did other guests. Theatre was closed which we were unaware of, the elevators were barely hanging on by a thread. Pictures are very misleading.

Our room was ant infested. Requested a move to new room, which was politely obliged, and second room was overwhelmed with a musty, mildew smell and coffee maker broken. One elevator has a problem with the door not wanting to shut until you press the button 3 times so worried if it’ll get you where you need to go. Lobby is clean and outside area well maintained. Staff wa nice.

A Bit Disappointing
The pool was green and only about 3/4 full, the mini-golf course was unplayable due to every hole being covered in mud, and the A/C controller on the wall was broken and missing, though the controls on the unit worked.
The staff was great and super friendly. Other than the above, the room and the rest of the facility was in good shape.

I wanted to stay here due to advertised bar and restaurant inside the property for convenience. It did not exist and the staff all seemed to not know how to do their jobs. It seemed like maybe they had recently been bought out and everything was changing. There wasn't even any snacks available to purchase from snack bar in front. Just seemed unorganized. It was fine, but not a good value for price, especially considering other places I could have stayed at in the area.

From the outside, the property looked very clean and well kept. However, upon checking in the staff member at the front counter did not know what he was doing, told us it was because it was a new system that he didn't know. When we got to our room, there was a moldy odor coming from the A/C and the room had an odor. Then, while we understand that this is a family destination and people have kids that sometimes are hard to keep quiet, it sounded like there was a wrestling match and running going on upstairs most of the night. After check in and the rest of the weekend the internet was down, resulting in the whole system was down which meant any purchases such as snacks or drinks had to be cash only no cards. The beds were comfortable and the facilities seemed nice, and they do offer a full buffet breakfast for a price.

The floor was not vacuumed around the edges. There were small trash items behind the bedside tables and at the front of the bedside. The surfaces had hand marks and fingerprints . The mirrors and window had not been cleaned. Looking out the window, the gutters had not been cleaned. The brush had grown up around the property, especially around the theater. The general appearance of the buildings and grounds indicated deterioration of the property, with little evidence that anything was being done to improve it. Would like to see this property brought back to its appearance from not that long ago when major acts were performing there.

Not Satisfied...
Well we got to the hotel checked in, but rooms were not ready. Clerk said they would make our key once the room was ready, we asked for the room number they told they were not able to give it to me since they rooms were not ready. We left to do our thing got call to let me know the room was ready and so were the keys, we arrived back at 10 asked for our key. When we got to our rooms they lights were, tv were on and their was luggage on the bed as if occupy by someone, so went back down, told them. They changed the room had to walk across the parking to get the keys for our new rooms, when I came back with the keys, I turned around and asked the clerk to make sure that the rooms were not occupied like the first ones. She said no I think they are the are freshly cleaned, so once again we go up to our rooms, and surely they were occupied as well, only this time they had occupants in there sleeping, what a nightmare. I do not think anyone love to have someone walking into their room I know we would not.

This hotel is good for a short stay, but not for a long stay with kids. It says it has mini golf, playground and outdoor pool, but it’s all very underwhelming and desperately needs to be upgraded.

Weeds growing outside. Mold on furniture in room. Air conditioning leaked on floor and room smelled like mold. Maintenance man walked in room after a light knock as I was going to door. We could have been undressed. Hotel was not as advertised as far as ammenities. Have pics if needed. Left one day early because of smell of room. Maid service supervisor was very helpful.

It was a typical $115 a night room kind of place. Pretty clean, but the grounds around the hotel were pretty unkempt. Lobby had a seating area and was very noisy for most of the nights we were there.

This was one of the most uncomfortable hotel stays of the last 20 years. It reminds me most of staying at the hotel featured in the movie The Shining.
The room was basically clean to start with except there was no toilet paper. Weird. I went to the lobby to purchase some soda and their cooler was nearly empty except for 8 bottles of fruit juice. That is when I learned that the property sold that very day. I asked if there would be housekeeping to which I was told "of course". Leaving for dinner that first evening I asked if we could have extra coffee - they didn't have any at all. I asked if they could rob some from an empty room as it seemed we were nearly the only guests in the hotel. That was the last coffee would have for the next 3 days. Leaving the hotel for breakfast, I met the housekeeping crew cleaning the room across the hall. I asked if they would freshen up our room, make the beds and provide towels. They said they would not. So I told the front desk I wanted our room cleaned, beds made and fresh towels. Arrived that night after a day out to a sack of towels at our doorway. Room was untouched, no coffee, trash cans full and beds unmade. So the next morning we put the trash cans in the hallway - evidently they had no intention of doing anything. Just as strange - when we wanted to visit the pool, we were told to walk out into the parking lot, over to the next building, through the vacant THE SHINING-esque lobby and to the pool. WEIRD - AWFUL.

This was our first time staying as guests in the hotel since Welk Resorts sold. We did not realize there would be so many changes. The hotel lacked all the things we had loved about Welk Resorts including the indoor pool Splashatorium, restaurant, theater and game room with activities. The indoor pool was not able to be utilized due to needing major repairs. The hotel and the Timber Ridge lodging are now completely separate and not one cohesive resort property. There were very few guests staying at the hotel and it just seemed like things were rundown and in need of repair. The breakfast was mediocre at best but the staff were really nice and helpful. The outdoor pool did not seem like it was well cared for and was in need of repairs. The rooms were decent, clean enough, but the bathroom had a lot of dirt in grout and the carpet had stains. While our stay was fine, it just lacked all the things we loved about the grounds when it was Welk Resorts. We had high hopes in the past about staying there frequently but I am not sure we will return again.

Liked the location. Front desk staff was not welcoming. We asked that our room be cleaned snd restocked with towels, toilet paper and trash emptied. They told me to put towels in hallway with our trash, but that they "didn't like trash in hallway because we have critters, you know what I mean." It took four requests (three phonecalls and one in person, over two days, to get another roll of toilet paper! The restaurant used paper plates and flimsy plastic cups. The aquatic park was closed. Very poor timing in the middle of tourist season. We are returng to this area next year and we will not consider this location. It was deplorable and extremely disappointing, very poorly managed.

Hope they improve at new location
I wish I could say good things but I can’t. We stayed here for a week and they do not offer housekeeping. We had to call to order towels and one day they didn’t have any. The bathroom was gross with mold on ceilings and some of our friends’ rooms were worse. Our shower didn’t drain so nothing is worse than taking a shower with standing water. We found out it was their last week there so basically it was like they didn’t care. Regardless we had a great time in Branson and tried to stay out of room except to sleep

I walked into a room with dirty clothes on the floor and when i went to put drinks in the refrigerator, there was old food left in the refrigerator. It took several calls and over 12 hours to get toilet paper, cups, and towels. All on seperate trips and 12 hours later.

The hotel is under renovation and some parts were closed, which they called to inform me about it. The room was clean, a little tight for a double Queen bedroom. If you have 4 people in this room it may be crowded. The staffs were friendly. I did not use any services onsite.

Went to use $15.00 gold credit and hotel refused to charge breakfast buffet to the room, preventing the use of the credit. Major construction on property, indoor waterpark closed, and outside pool only accessible by going around property to pool. Concierge staff friendly, not so much with front desk staff. Hotel restaurant was closed Monday and Tuesday including breakfast.

Rooms did not feel clean or sanitized. Carpet stains, some kind of soap smeared on the shower wall that hadn't been cleaned from previous guest. The on-site restaurant is only open for breakfast = really inconvenient when you're there all day for an event at the theater. Dressing room 9 is full of trash and mouse droppings.

The water park was closed prior to the stay with no knowledge of this closing. We would have went elsewhere if we would have known. Dirty rooms with stains all over. Very very rude staff. Had a 15$ credit to use towards food or drinks and would not let us use until we asked for the 10th time.

We were sadly pretty disappointed in the hotel. Our room had no hot water (sink or shower) and the air conditioner was not working properly. They did move us rooms but it was a headache. I also had asked several times for more pillows to our room (3) and when they finally brought some there was only 1. Beds were also not super comfortable. We LOVED all the game areas they had complimentary with our stay and it has potential to be amazing once construction is competed but it’s just not quite there yet. If we go back we would likely stay in the Lodges portion as that area was a lot nicer.

Hotel is clearly under construction. We were called and emailed about it well ahead of time.
Staff was friendly and helpful. We had fun at the escspe room and excellent recommendations from the concierge service, branson.com. They will ask you to attend a 2hr seminar about Hyatt.
Room was decent and we were only staying 2 nights so not a lot of issues.
We did not have hot water the 1st morning and when we called down they said they would infom maintenance when they arrived. Disappointed in the response as i would have liked them to offer a solution to a freezing shower. Water did eventually turn warm after running about 15 minutes.

Decent hotel
They contacted us well in advance about the splash area being worked on for construction. The hotel sent and email stating it would provide local entertainment experiences, but when we checked in, nothing was mentioned. I don’t think we would of accepted due to a busy schedule we already had, but mentioning what they had to offer would have been nice. The pool outdoors was suitable, but had to net bugs and debris out ourselves. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. The only thing I would suggest is a microwave in the rooms. There was a microwave but you had to go to the first floor to use it. It is a great location, so I’m chalking it up as bad timing. If the splash area was usable and accessible microwaves were available it would be perfect.

The hotel was not marked well and at night was incredibly difficult to locate. The room was fine, but the neighbors upstairs had some sort of party and jumped on the floor repeatedly for hours and it sounded like an elephant was coming through the ceiling and this was at midnight. Called main desk 3x before they finally had security sort it out by 1am so we could sleep. Still noisy the next night but not as bad. The beds were super soft, but if you have a bad back, too soft. Not their fault though. Very comfy to sit and chill on, just note if you suffer backaches, it won't help.

Terrible experience! We had to go downstairs twice during checkin because the digital keypad on the room door didn’t work. They have the entire first floor lobby closed due to construction and a lot of construction workers on site. We went to the pool and it was dirty plus we had to walk around the buildings because the main lobby entrance was closed! They told us breakfast would be an additional $11 per person. We didn’t even bother after how terrible all the other amenities were.

Justin was great at check-in but the others were not friendly. The mood of the employees was not good.
The Hotel never cleaned our room, not one time.

Indoor water park closed. Construction everywhere. Outdoor pool nasty from construction. Mini golf course not maintained at all. Not what is being advertised. Photos of property online are years old!

Over booked
The motel was over booked. I paid for a king sweet and hot two queen beds. I’m not happy for paying extra and not getting what I paid for

Hotel is being renovated in areas where guests are staying and some areas are not accesible to guests to use. The breakfast buffet had paper plates and a limited selection. They will need to quickly improve or we will be looking at other hotels.

Looking forward to the new ownership of Hyatt Hotels. Although coffee is provided in room we prefer fresh. The only facility was a buffet a breakfast on certain days. Hotel could have provided complementary coffee in lobby. We drove in town every morning for that which was 7 miles away! Cole was EXCELLANT for concierge service. Could use microwaves. Most do nowadays, since we had no wave of heating our coffee. But im sure this will change in time. We are discoverist members and will be back once you have the changeover. Otherwise we probably would Not be back.

Not so good.
We found a bed bug on the sheets on one of the beds. we got grossed out and was ready to leave, checked out early.

Personally would have liked a notice before we booked that the splash a Torium would not be open. Instead of an email after the fact. Water pressure for the showers was not good. Hopefully after construction it will be better.

Room was comfortable and clean. Staff was polite and helpful. Property was under renovations and made things a bit inconvenient. The AC had some type of issue and rattled loudly when on. The parking lot needs more lighting. All in on all our stay was enjoyable andwe would stay again.

Place was quite staff was friendly. Breakfast was not included as advertised many other guests were aggravated. Halls were 80 degrees. Room AC turned off in middle of night

Th reason I booked this hotel was because of their 2 hot tubs and the pool. But several days before my trip the hotel called and advise that the hottubs and pool would be closed. They even suggested we could cancel.

So overall I like the property. They have a lot of different activities to do around the hotel and the breakfast is phenomenal! I'd go there to eat breakfast even if I wasn't staying there. It was $11.50 per person at the time. My only complaint is they didn't seem to finish remodeling the remodeled rooms.. such as, the toilet seat was stained yellow and there was mold around the tub.
