loved the fact it is close to sandwich center. Room was clean and spacious. Breakfast was a nice bonus. Nice to see a real person at the desk for a real person interaction. Heating/cooling system worked well and was easy to figure out. Plentiful pillows for the bed and comfortable rest on a good mattress not high off the floor. enjoyable experience. Would stay again soon

Only complaints, the mattress had us both wishing to be home, the restaurant next door was filling all the parking spots. Other than that, the room was beyond expectations. The staff was very sweet, and the little goodies they had for sale where you check in were resonably priced and very cute

This is a wonderful property, and we will stay here again. It is clean, quiet, and with a good breakfast and 24/7 coffee, which is about perfect for our needs. Beyond this, however, it is close to a Stop&Shop AND the absolutely fabulous Cape Cod Donuts, as well as several scenic places for walks. A terrific resource in all regards!

Room is big size. Except bathroom, everything is old looking, includes bed liens. When I booked the room, it said fridge and kitchen but no kitchen when I opened the door.

Everything you could possibly want in a stay! Staff is courteous, rooms are clean and quiet and very roomy, breakfast room is fabulous! Pool, hot tub, coffee and tea always available. Just fantastic!!

This is my second stay at the Sandwich Lodge and Resort.
The rooms are large and clean. Breakfast was very nice. I found a grocery store and liquor store across the street. A very nice tavern/restaurant is next door.
I will visit again.

The front desk was completely on interested in greeting people or speaking to anyone. They spent more time looking down at their phone and did not seem to have any customer service experience. The reason why I came there is because I had hurt my back and was interested in using the hot tub, but that was a complete fiasco. The hot tub only had two jets at work from the bottom and the smell in there was horrific.

This an excellent place to stay, have heated pool and hot tub. I give a vote a c- for their breakfast, too simple, not enuf choice. Should add boiled eggs and oatmeal. Their coffee isnt so bad.

This place was comfy and clean. We loved our room, very spacious and cozy. The pool was nice but the hot tub was too full of chlorine that it burned the eyes. They should definitely test better for chemicals. Breakfast was good/decent. My son is allergic to dairy so I wish they had non-dairy milk available. Great place for families.

Quaint place to stay in the Cape
Great location. Close to Borne bridge. Complimentary breakfast. Pool and hot tub was nice. Room was adequate with standard amenities, including refrigerator, sink, iron & iron board. Wifi was adequate. I would stay here again.

Older but updated motel. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Heated indoor pool, indoor hot tub and cooler water in outdoor pool. Lots of grassy space to walk through. Picnic tables and volleyball net. Quiet area even though the road is busy. Great, loud (in the restaurant-couldn’t hear from hotel) and very busy restaurant next door. Free breakfast, Mini frig, microwave, lots of space. Negatives - Shuffle ball court needs some weed control in order to be able to use it. Window screens full of holes and desperately need replacing. Overall, it was great for us and we would stay here again.

This was our second stay in less than a month. Our room location was even better than our first. Love the convenience of location to area restaurants and shopping. They return requests via email efficiently are very pleasant at check-in.
Will definitely be on our list of places to stay when on Cape

We love this place and keep going back to it. Stop&Shop is right across the street. Staff members are very nice and extremely helpful. We had an issue with the TV from the jacuzzi room and Donna from the service desk fixed it in a heartbeat. Thank you, Donna! Will definitely go back!

Pros: the woman who Checked us in was very nice.
Cons. Scrap pile of appliances, tables ironing boards chairs visible next to the hotel. Rib bones in the flower beds and by the exterior door of our room.
The exterior secure door that you were supposed to need to use a key opened without one. The room smelled horribly mildew smoke musty nastiness. I did bring it to the desks attention. She explained it had just rained and the air was turned off in the room and may be the reason. I did not go back and revisit the issue.
Some Ceiling tiles in bathroom taped together some had holes. Ceiling paint peeling in the sink area. Water stained ceiling. Possible mold in bathroom. Zero air ventilation. Partially painted bathroom door. Open holes in the drywall in bathroom where the pipes came through the wall.
2/3 Arcade did not work. We told the desk were were just told they would call someone. No AC in the arcade room.
Hallways and breakfast room were so very hot.
There is no cell signal but wifi is offered free to guests. Unfortunately it works intermittently. If you need to check in with work plan alternative options.
Pool room chlorine was so strong it burned your eyes and the pool water was very cloudy.
We decided to cut our losses and leave a night early.
The inside ..,initially It looks good on the surface and looks like they are trying, but needs attention to fundamental issues.

The property is very uniquely laid out compared with traditional hotels. The room we had was very clean and spacious. Be sure to specify how many towels you need when you book your room and don’t assume four people staying equals four sets of towels. Otherwise, the front desk staff may give you a hard time when you ask for more.

The property was updated since the last time we stayed many years ago. Our room was located on the lower level adjacent to the outdoor pool. Upon entering the room there was a noticeable musty smell. It had been very humid prior to our stay so there was a dehumidifier running in the room and once we turned the air conditioning on it did help alleviate most of the odor.
The room was spacious with a king size bed, small kitchenette with microwave and refrigerator. There was a full size ironing board and iron.
The wall mounted soap, shampoo and body wash dispensers were super convenient.
Pillows could have been softer for our liking but that’s pretty subjective. We normally travel with our own however this was a quick stay so we left them home.
The Local restaurant which is walking distance next door was very convenient and food was great.
We will more than likely choose to stay here again but will probably request a room on a higher floor.

This hotel was really nice. The room I stayed in was a king with a jacuzzi tub which was so relaxing. And there was a private balcony overlooking the indoor pool. The only downside was when kids were in the pool early, you could hear them. But it’s understandable.

The room was not clean. There was hair in the shower and and a razor and shampoo left by the previous occupant.
The outdoor pool was closed. Hotel is basically rundown. Staff was nice. We didn’t complain but I would never stay there again

Didn’t meet expectations for the price
We chose this hotel because it was somewhat affordable and what we thought would be a good location. It was not worth the price of the night we stayed there, though. The ceiling was falling in in our bathroom, the door stuck, the drawers wouldn’t stay closed, there was no elevator and we had to climb stairs through the hot steamy pool area, the pools looked cloudy. The receptionist knew nothing about the area, either.

Great place to relax and enjoy.
New carpet and fresh paint from my last visit about 2 years ago. Staff was pleasant and responsive, room was very clean and ready for me. I had the Jacuzzi room and I spent most of my time in the tub which was extremely relaxing and clean. Highly recommend.

We were very happy to stay at the Sandwich lodge. It was clean and we were surprised by the 2 pools they have. We appreciated having a good night’s sleep and breakfast to be included. Sandwich is a good location to visit both nearby Cape Cod and Plymouth.

2 pools plus hot tub, but too much chlorinated.
Pool are is currently renovated.
Huge area outside with volleyball net and BBQ area, but neglected and not ready for use.

We really enjoyed our stay. The location was terrific and the staff was helpful and pleasant. They are currently doing renovations, but there were no issues for us. Even the guests were friendly. AND they had actual food for the included breakfast. Looking forward to staying there again.

This was a great place to stay. Nice indoor and outdoor pool areas. Hot tub was funky though. Room was spacious and comfortable. Air conditioner was the kind that blasts and then stops so cooling is inconsistent and loud.

was not made aware the free breakfast was not offered and the pool and sauna were closed due to construction until after we booked and the booking was non refundable. Could have been Hotels.com error.
We were not given the room location that we requested. The heater/ac unit was so noisy that we had to turn it off in order to sleep. Although the room seemed remodeled recently the beds were uncomfortable. The most disappointing was that we arrived 50 minutes before check in time and were told the room was ready but if we wanted to check in before check-in time of 3pm we had to pay an additional $20.00. Never heard of such a thing. However in there disclosure they do say there will be no refund if you check in late of check out early. Won't stay there again.

Last minute trip
Late night business trip to Cape, desk is manned 24 hrs and very friendly and helpful. Continental breakfast was good and plenty of choices similar to Corp Hotel chains. For the money $99 I was quite satisfied.

Nice, fun old fashioned motel.
We stayed one night, myself and two kids 6&8 years old. We had a blast, they lived the pool and arcade, the video games were all older, which suited their skill level, air hockey, pool table, ping pong, they loved it.
The room was spotless and newly renovated looking. Very impressed with the cleanliness. The breakfast was pretty bad, but edible.
Friendly atmosphere and a short walk to a nice family style restaurant next door. We arrived in a bad rain storm, but this place kept my kids entertained without having to leave the property.

Enjoyed our 2 night stay, and a friend was able to book a night and join us! Staff was very attentive, game room was lots of fun (air hockey! Bring lots of quarters!), unfortunately the pinball machine was broken. Breakfast was fine, not interested in the pool but others were enjoying it. Very close to Cape Cod Canal Museum + Visitor Ctr, fish hatchery, and Sandwich sights. Good dinners at the Fisherman's View (bar seating).

Great Family Friendly Hotel
Great family friendly hotel! We came down to carver for King Richard's fair and wanted a hotel with suites for 5 people AND an indoor pool. Sandwich Lodge was GREAT! Clean, well maintained rooms and property. Friendly staff, GREAT breakfast (for continental) and ample parking. We will definitely be back!

Loved it. We wanted something semi close to Boston but without the price. We didnt use pool, hot tub, game room. The pool/hot tub was in a large room that was incredibly hot and smelt of chemicals. We had a balcony view to the pool and it looked like several people enjoyed it.
The hotel has some area restaurants that offer a discount if staying at the hotel. The Edge Pizza is 800 feet away and had amazing Detroit style pizza. Our jetted tub was a nice addition but the TV in the room by it didn’t work. We reported it. The beds were ok and the room was huge. Would stay at the hotel again.

I would go back. Rooms spacious, clean. I wouldn't want Room 100 again. It is below the stairs that most go to the 2nd floor and it sounded like they were in my room and it was right across from the open area where the washer and dryer were. We had people sitting outside our door until after 10:00pm talking and laughing. It was a bit noisy.

Everything was there that we needed. The accomadations were basic but nice. The staff was frindly and courteous. The asked several times if there was anything else the could get or do to make our visit most enjoyable and appeared to be genuinely interested is makeing us happy during our visit.Unfourtunately we missed the free breakfast but it sounded great. We had to leave very early and did not get to enjoy it but i am sure it was also good. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars was due to the basic nature of everythig I would recommend this place to anyone I know.

The room had one large chair which was almost blocking bathroom entrance Could have used a mat inside the door. The safety railing in bath tub was not connected at one end. No hooks or bars to hang towels on

Always a good experience. Rooms have all been updated to the current standard for a 4 to 5vstar room. The indoor pool is the type that was popular in the 90s, hot tub is always clean. They also have a decent free breakfast which is always good, arcade thats a plus and oing pong table.
