My favorite place to stay in Nashville!
My favorite place to stay in Nashville! A reasonably priced, few frills and clean motel in Music Valley. Live music venues and restaurants a short walk from hotel room. Across from Opryland Convention Center and a few miles from downtown N'ville, hotel offers free hourly shuttle buses to the downtown area. There are fancier, more expensive motels with more amenities in the area but Fiddler's Inn suits my needs perfectly!

Aweosme stay and the very nice desk manager who checked me in righy before he was leaving for the end of hjs shift at 11pm was so incredibly kind and acommadating ill be saving this place as my favorite from now on

had to change rooms three times. door security was not operational, commode seat was not secure, during showering there was a whining from the hot water system, the temperature of the room was very difficult to adjust and control and tv had to be set by the staff to view to shows and these things were in the final room that we were given. The continental breakfast had dirty toaster, shared milk container and dry hard bagels. The management/owner of this site does not appear concerned about the structure/room. The staff was friendly.

Could not believe the price for what we got in Nashville. We had quit going to concerts up there (we live too far to drive home after a concert), and I was dubious when I saw the price. This hotel was LOVELY and clean! We will absolutely stay there again!!!

Our room was dirty. I have photos. Upon arrival the shower was covered in hairs that aren’t ours with a razor from whoever was there prior, there was a dead roach on the dust boards, only 3 small pillows on a King size bed. The heater was turned all the way up to 85 and it was cold both nights on top of the shower that takes 5 minutes to even half way warm up with the hot dial all the way turned.

Great for a night if you would like to do a bar crawl at all the Honky Tonks(Scoreboard,Music City Bar and the Troubadour). It’ll keep you off Broadway and the music and dancing is way better without all the crowds. Just have to walk across the parking lot and the live music will lull you to sleep.
Needs bigger pillows!

Everything was clean, beds were comfortable. The place is not modern and maintenance was not kept up. Sink was not even attached to the counter top. Poor windows with zero spund barrier. A lot of street noise.

Hotel is in a great location, bathroom was in desperate need of a good cleaning. One bed frame was broken and the only way to get more towels is to track down housekeeping. Also some of the outlets/lamps didn't work and the secondary lock had clearly been ripped from the door. The hot water and water pressure was amazing and the room served its purpose but if you are opposed to having to wipe down your bathroom before you can use it then you definitely won't be happy here.

Friendly staff over the phone. Average in person. Beds were horrible I’d of slept on the floor if carpets were clean. No pillows on the bed. We had two couch size pillows. And trash in fridge. It was ok but really disappointed in the bed.

Disappointing, but could have been worse, I guess
Bed and bedding were clean and comfortable.
This hotel is nothing more than a minimally dressed up Motel 6, at a much higher cost. Rooms accessed from an individual outside door. Straight back to vanity, bathroom and hanging clothing 'nook'. The hotel has two separate buildings. I was put into the far one from the main/office building. My stay was for four nights. Some nights, I was only one of maybe two or three other rooms occupied.
The hotel offers free internet. HOWEVER, while I could seem to connect to the Wi-Fi, I could get no internet connection. After a couple of trips to the office and some investigating of my own, I found that my room was the issue. If I stepped outside my room, I could connect fine. I could connect OK in the hotel lobby. They said they'd have maintenance check and adjust the server. Never happened.
The TV control was "FILTHY". I cleaned it off and found 'black' residue of some sort came off on the washcloth.
The bathroom was clean, as were the towels and washcloths.
Generally, the place is old, 'frayed around the edges' in many places. I thought about taking photos. But, they wouldn't have been in any way flattering.
Staff were nice enough, but really more "indifferent" than 'friendly'.

Staff and service compensates for the slightly sub optimal rooms that had non working phone, visible mold around bathroom area. Rooms were overall clean. Shuttle service available to Broadway but some days it doesn’t run without warning. Wifi is strong. Great music bars walkable from hotel. Overall 2-3 *

The property is close to some great food and entertainment, there are 4 music venues within walking distance. Vintage shopping is excellent.
The manager of this property is loud and rude. She has NO hospitality at all.
The front desk staff were polite, helpful and people oriented. Especially O’Neal.
We definitely will be seeking different accommodations for our friends annual trip.

We loved our 4 night stay here and found everything neat and tidy. It was a most convenient location to everywhere we were there to visit and for sightseeing! Great coffee shop right next door! Cracker Barrel right next door! Awesome hospitality by all who worked there as well! 10 out of a 10! We will be visiting again! Thank you!

1* for location 1* for price... that's all!
I stayed here for a 3 day conference at the Gaylord Convention Center.
The location is perfect, it's a 10 minute walk to the Cascades Lobby and it was nice having good bars and restaurants (Cracker Barrel breakfast FTW) rather than spending $25 on a burger and beer inside the Gaylord.
The bed was big and soft and there was a lot of room to move around.
But that ends the positive portion of this review.
The room itself was barely tolerable. It is a non-smoking room, but it's hard to tell when that rule went into place because there was a weird smell that just didn't go away. It also didn't help that I saw a maintenance supervisor smoking in the doorway of another room while she watched her crew clean inside.
The whole room needed improvements:
There are no finishes on some corners of thee room so you could see the edges of the drywall coming together.
The crossbar of the TP holder was missing, so the roll was just stuck on one of the side pieces. There was no trim around the toilet or shower.
There was a weird stain on a chair cushion... which had another stain on the flip side.
The towels were scratchy and too small to wrap around my waist.
The 'continental breakfast' was bread and bagels and cereal and little more.
And finally the TV was HD, but they are only paying for an SD satellite image. This is a petty complaint, but deserves inclusion.
If you're looking for a cheap hotel in a nice location, this is it, but don't expect much more.

The location was amazing for walking to the Opryland property to explore. There was fun shopping right next to the hotel. The restaurant next door, Caney Fork, was incredible! Great food and even better service and atmosphere.
The man who checked us in and out was very nice and helpful.
The beds weren’t super comfortable, I probably wouldn’t want to stay for more than a night or two.

good stay. second time there with believe it or not the same exact room. They need to replace their toilet with elongated bowl higher up and use a lot less water. these toilet's can be bought at a home improvement store for under $100.00 and installed in under 20 min and save 50% on water, Room great but toilet's wasteful they could cut water bill in half.

When we check in the man behind the counter wasn’t friendly. Our room was as clean as it could be I guess for how old the Inn is. Our comforter was thin and covered with another sheet so it didn’t even look like we had one. We got 3 small throw pillows which were uncomfortable. Our room was located facing a bar that played loud live music until 2am. The room on the other side of us had a smoke detector that was dying. There was a bunch a full glass beer bottles left in the fridge.

It’s ok. It’s an old and tired building. But it’s all about location. Good restaurants, bars and live music right in the parking lot. 20 minutes from anywhere in the city. The price is right too. Not good, not bad. It just serves its purpose as an ok place to sleep and shower.

The Room Left Something to be Desired
I arrive and did not understand where the room was located (I did not know that it was in another separate building), but I finally found it. Brought my stuff in, and immediately kill a brown recluse spider in the bathtub; so, I left the bathroom light on for the remainder of the stay in the hopes it would keep the reclusive spiders at bay. The bathroom (other than the spider) was pretty clean, as was the vanity outside the bathroom. But, the ceiling tiles above the shower were stained from an ongoing leak (in an upper room?). The room was cleaned prior to my arrival, but it was cleaned only once during my 5-night stay; I requested it on my second morning there and was told it would be done that day; it wasn't. So, I requested it again the third morning; the desk manager said he would tell them personally. That day it was cleaned; however, that was the last time it was done (the website for the motel says daily housecleaning). On the 2nd morning, I notice that the bottom of my feet look as if I had been walking in a tar pit, so I left my socks on after that and stood on towels after taking my shower in an effort to keep my feet as clean as possible before I put on clean socks and shoes. And, then, on Wednesday night, after a very long day of meetings, I get a call on my cell phone from the front desk at 11:47 pm wanting to know if I was going to use my reservation; I told her that I was in the room (I had canceled a duplicate two months before). That's about it.

Beds were comfortable, one staff member was very helpful, others were not. They had no idea of items for sale in the office, and one did not even try to find out. Ice machine out of order and had to walk to to another building for ice. Advertised pool but again that was in another building.

Wiped off the remote with a damp white washcloth and it was black like I’d polished my boots with it. Otherwise floor was dirty and pillows were flat from wear. 2 clubs 20 yards behind the hotel that were extremely loud till around 3 am. Desk help was nice but he had no excuse for the filth! No attempt to apologize or make amends. We won’t b back!

The place is pretty run down. But it's just a place to sleep. The first room was very musty and moldy smelling. And got bit by something in the night like 20 times (mosquito) I think. They did switch us rooms. And the second room smelled way better. Beds are more like full-size than queens and they gave us two small pillows that look like the size decorative pillows for the couch. But showers had awesome water, pressure and heat.

Just under $100 a night. Continental breakfast had expired yogurt and old looking fruit. Room okay, other than large stain in tub that would not wipe away and pealing plaster on ceiling and wall. Did note old plastic water bottle behind a nightstand and accumulated dirt
Had refrigerator and microwave. Cracker Barrel restaurant next door, could walk over to. Couple of country bars with food and music behind the hotel. Took local "tram" from hotel to downtown for $10 roundtrip per person. A deal, parking tough to find. Have to ask hotel clerk to call them for you...pickup from hotel on bottom of hour, return by meeting at certain pickup location downtown on top of every hour.

Would be a really nice place to stay, but the pictures are deceiving. It is close to a lot, but is nasty on the inside, and the breakfast is minimal to say in the least. The staff is unfriendly, and the rooms are not clean my son and I had to buy sleeping bags to sleep on, also, we wore our shoes in the shower. The shower head fell off and hit me in the head and that was a cold shower by the way. When I went for breakfast, which was a choice of three maybe four items I had to wait because the workers were getting their coffee first!!

I did not receive any introduction when i check in. Phone in the room didn't work. Smell kind of strange like someone smoke there before. When i called from my room to obtain password for wireless using my cellular, host told me to come down to get wireless and hang up. Then i called two more times, but she didn't pick up the phone.i was not able to use my computer for work what quite upseting.

Room was to be non smoking and room reeked of smoke. Bathroom door knob was broken and locked us out of the bathroom. Took 30 minutes to get back in. Semi Truck was right outside room running Diesel engine all night. We were supposed to stay another knight but we canceled and are waiting on a refund.

Nearby music venues too loud and too late at night. Fireworks set off after midnight. There should be more noise control since people come to Fiddlers Inn to sleep. Location was great for the Opry.

It was a good stayed besides the hard towels…
It was our first time staying and we had a good time. The hotel was clean, the rooms were reasonable in price. We didn’t get to see any breakfast thou and the towels are too thin and hard! Overall it was a great stay, only if they can do something with the towels and some type of breakfast. Thank you!!

Premises very dated, breakfast was much to be desired. Wi-Fi was very hit and miss. Beds not changed for our 12 day stay! The lift certificate run out in June but the lift is still being used. Bars around the area have sub standard singers but still charge broadway prices for drinks. The pool was next to the bars in another area of the hotel you could not use the pool without a wristband which we were never offered. Will never go back to this place 😡

Beyond Disappointed!
The Fiddlers Inn needs to be completely overhauled, with the exception of their front desk staff.
The first room we were given was filthy and smelled of something bad.
The 2nd room was slightly better. At least it looked vacuumed.
I wanted to get a different hotel all together, but we were told we could not get a refund because we booked with a third party.
I will not be booking through Hotels, Expedia, etc. anymore for this reason.
The fact that Hotels even promotes such an awful hotel is beyond me.
It literally ruined Nashville for my husband and I.

Check in was super slow. She was not very inviting or hospitable. It was not unsafe but felt and looked it. Interesting that the room was clean, felt room had some updated features but the property overall looked so neglected and worn out. Not a place you would want to stay at more than a couple days or more than once. Crazy thing is the location is great in relation to Opryland.

Well 2 start the bed is like sleeping on the floor!!!! Was very very hard!!! Then the TV remote wouldn’t work and they couldn’t give us another one!! Only thing going for the hotel is location because it was convenient with 5 bars around!

Lady at front desk was very rude to me and I didn’t.l do anything to her ….leave your anger at home is what I should have said but I chose to be silent instead!!! The rooms are very old and not updated at all…I don’t even have a smoke detector that is usable..it’s on the shelf with no battery and wires are hanging out of the wall…..they definitely need a make over and excellent customer service!!!! I’m so disappointed 😭
