The staff was excellent but our room was pretty run down. The bed was very sunken and the AC blew directly into our faces. I think if we had asked for a different room they would've accommodated us, but we were too tired to ask.

I have stayed at this property many times. It’s not the Ritz, but you’re not paying Ritz prices either. Love the mini kitchen stocked with dishes and utensils. Walk to tons of shops, restaurants and the beach. The girl who checked me in at the front desk was fabulous. Wasn’t my first stay here, and it won’t be my last!

Good value and will stay again
Friendly service. Good quality. All positive. Just wish they had a breakfast included. Great location. Wish the city garbage trucks were less noisy-but that’s on the city not the Aqua. Will definitely be back again.

Too many hidden fees. For a room that’s 130.00, you will end up paying about 500.00 dollars at check in. From parking pass fee,
Room additional fee and etc. I do not recommend. I won’t be back.

Positive: friendly and helpful staff, beach towels csn be borrowed, beach chairs can be borrowed, DVDs can be rented.
Negative: the rooms are badly in need of updating. The area surroundung the hotel is rather loud. Rooms are only cleaned every third day.

Saw many reviews about noise within the hotel. We didn't hear a thing the entire trip, other than some occasional construction noise outside. Room was small but comfortable. It's Hawaii, how.much time do you spend in your room anyway? 😁

It was my 3rd stay at this hotel.
Excellent location, right in the heart of Waikiki.
Small hotel but convenient and with everything that I needed. Room was bright, spacious and comfortable. It was equipped with mini fridge, TV, microwave, coffee maker and room safe.
Water cooler and ice makers are in the lobby.
Great low-cost option.
Front desk agents were friendly, helpful and professional.
As other mentioned, room decor is a little dated, but bed was comfortable and room was clean.
I will definitely stay there again.

My wife is from Oahu. This was the closest to having a small apartment there again. I have live in Waiks for a few years while stationed in Hawaii. This was a great hotel with many amenities, walkability, and affordability. Would highly recommend

We were staying at Aqua Aloha Surf Waikiki with my family from 17th Nov.2023 to 21st Nov.2023.
On the 2nd day of the stay, the couple's from the neighbor kept fighting for more than from 8 p.m to 2 a.m.
I have called the reception 4 times and the ladies said she'll make a phone call to them to be quiet or send a security but most of them didn't work.
The neighbor talked in smaller voices after that, but they started yelling, swearing, closing the door so loudly, and jumping or hitting the wall so many times.
So I requested to change the room but the reception lady said "Ask the morning receptioner in the morning."
Also, the room I booked was supposed to be 1 king bed and 1 double sofa bed.
But we had 1 semi-double bed, 1 single bed and 1 single sofa.
The clark let us move to 1103 room after 2 night stays.
But the last day of the stay; last
night, we couldn't sleep because of the noise and the music from the same floor which was 1109.
The security knocked on the door where the noise and the loud music came from to stop. But the noise continued untill 3am.
We couldn't sleep at all. I want to make a claim for refund from the hotel.
We didn't want to waste our time listening to other people's fights, and we wanted to get some sleep for the next day.
We wanted to stay in the room I reserved, and I want Clarks to take proper care of us.

Overpriced and uncumfortable.
Room was next to elevator and very noisy. Requested move to an alternative room, which was handled graciously. However, that room was also noisy (of indeterminate origin) and the pillows smelt oily. Yuk!

It was close to Waikiki downtown so we could walk. We also could walk the canal. The pool was quiet and refreshing with a nice deck area. It was great to sit and have coffee on the deck in the morning. We loved that nice beach towels and chairs were provided. Staff were so friendly and helpful. There were lots of options for dining as well as the market and ABC stores near by to buy breakfast food and liquor.

Everything was great from the rental of dvds to having towel rentals for the beach. Only thing that would have been better was having a small kitchen counter. But overall a great place.

My significant other and I stayed in the DELUXE ROOM.
This is a condo, not a hotel; thus, many restrictions exist here. For example, no toaster is provided because anything that is fire hazard is prohibited in the condo.
The ad for kitchen is misleading because the counter and the sink cannot even accommodate simple washing of the dishes. The typical sink exists in most hotels for guests to make tea/coffee is 2-3 times larger and provides easy of use much greater.
The customer service deserves 1star.
This is 16 floor building, but it has only 2 elevator. Even though when I was there, the building still had a lot of empty rooms, sometimes the wait for the elevator was a long time.

Great location, about 2 blocks from the beach. The only reason I'd give 2 stars is the property seemed very outdated. The rooms carpet, walls, lamps etc seemed very outdated and worn out.

We really enjoyed our stay. A couple of things to note: the windows dont shut all the way so it was pretty loud in the room at night and we were right at the end next to the stairs, the door is exceotionally loud as it slams all day and night. The bathrooms could use updating. The facility offered water to refil our bottles which was definitely utilized. The staff was amazing and friendly. Another thing to note is the pool closes at 8pm. That seems pretty early. I would have loved a nice evening dip.

The hotel has a central Waikiki location while situated on a more quiet side street.

The property was close to the beach, restaurants and souvenir shopping. It was an older property that actually sells rooms vs just renting them. Due to that fact we had to move mid star because the " owner" sold the room we were in. The staff moved us to a nicer room, but we suspected that was the room we shouldve had to begin with, but wasnt ready at check in.

It was my second stay at this property, and I’m already booked for December.
Small hotel but very convenient and with everything that I needed. My room was on the 12th floor. It was bright, spacious, comfortable, and very clean. Kitchenette was equipped with mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker, dishes, utensils, and mini sink. In-room safe was great to have.
Strong Wi-Fi.
Water cooler and ice makers are in the lobby.
Front desk agents were friendly and professional.
Excellent location, right in the heart of Waikiki, just a couple of minutes away from Waikiki Market and the International Market.
On-site parking is available.

Free admission to two museums with room keys. Close to public transit and can go everywhere with buses.
Dislike - A bit noisy every morning because truck came collect garbage. Additionally, a truck was so noisy at 11 pm across the street and stayed for 45 minutes one night.

We wanted a reasonable priced hotel so we could have more spending cash that was close to everything. It was nice to be 3 blocks away from beach and the main streets for transportation options. It had a nice view from the belconey and a nice walk down the canel. Overall was a great stay for the money. We would stay there again.

I went on a vacation by myself and it was fantastic. This hotel is safe,clean and close to the everything you could possibly need. You can walk to Diamond head and also walk to the mall for shopping. A1 place

From the beginning to the end it was traumatic. The rooms were fumigated for having cockroaches. During our stay we had no access to water and the list just went on. The hotel rooms were filthy, we were charged for ours rooms to be cleaned, yet we did not have any of our rooms cleaned in the first week. The receptionist was rude and unprofessional and would not listen to any of our concerns. I had stayed here previously and it was fine, hence why i booked two rooms for two weeks.
The sheets were dirty, the fridge was broken and would freeze anything, the shower was filthy and not what you would expect and the aircon machine was so loud i wouldn't sleep

The place is outdated but overall we had a pleasant stay. The room was old looking but clean. Bed was comfortable, we slept well each night! Love that it's walking distance to food and shopping as well as the beach! There was road/traffic noise but it didn't really bother us. Parking was a bit hard if you came back late in the evening. Not a lot of spaces in the garage or the small lot next to it. Also a bit too tight for a large SUV. It worked but just tight.

We had 3 rooms booked for a family vacation and all 3 rooms had issues. My daughters room didn’t have a dresser to put her clothes in. My son’s room the outlets were so loose his phone charger wouldn’t stay in and instead of a full size bed he got a twin size pushed up against the wall he also had no dresser. My room had a dresser but the lock on the door didn’t work the carpets were dirty every room in this hotel are completely different and we all picked and paid the same. The front desk did switch all 3 rooms for us all on different floors. To a bit better rooms just ok my mattress had a huge dent had to sleep on the foot side. My daughters room kept getting large water bugs and one day there was a lizard in her shower.
I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone I liked the area close to all. But for what you pay plus all the fees it’s definitely not worth it. I’ve been to Waikiki 6 times and this is the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at. Don’t waste your time.

A low cost alternative to the beach front hotels. Nothing fancy but far from terrible. It's a 5 minute walk to the beach and there are stores and restaurants all within a few minutes walk. You don't need a car here, in fact, it's easier without one. Uber or 'TheBus' is all you need.

The room was very small, it was also very noisy. You could hear every street noise even with the windows shuttered closed all throughout the night. I don’t think i had one decent night sleep. There was also a cockroach I had to kill and clean up that was climbing down the wall. The staff was very friendly. Housekeeping came only in one day even though you pay a cleaning fee that’s almost $200.

This place is garbage. The room - small, small, SMALL, dirty, DIRTY, OLD, old, smelly, SMELLY. The sink and shower won’t drain! I called front desk twice. Nothing was done. They charged us $35 per day for parking, BUT have only limited space and told us to park across the street if there isn’t available spot. We were there for a week and did not see continental breakfast as advertised. The place shouldn’t be open. it’s garbage!!! We arrived at 2am with our two toddlers that’s why we didn’t look for another place. Housekeeper came only once. I asked her to come back in 20min because my kide were just waking up. She said she can’t come back because she was leaving for the day. I called for housekeeping the next day and they asked me why I refused the day before. You kidding me??? I mean this place is GARBAGE! Don’t waste your money. We were on the 10th floors. The elevator takes forever to come and is soooooo small. This place is GARBAGE!

Aqua Aloha Surf was perfect for my group and our needs! The staff was very accommodating and we never had a problem contacting the front desk/housekeeping. It was also convenient that they offered free beach towels and chairs. We loved how close the hotel is to all the Waikiki restaurants, stores, and beaches. Highly recommend!

Overall was a good stay, although the room didn’t get clean everyday and the 8 nights we stayed we only have the room cleaned once. We asked for the body wash to be replaced but no one attended that either. But otherwise ok, staff very friendly and great location

Ive never felt more welcomed and respected in a hotel before, from the counter staff to the security guards. The staff certainly make the hotel here. 11/10 service.

What I liked it was a great area in the middle of the tourist area stores foods restaurants beach yet the customer service was poor did not try to accommodate us with an extra day or stay we were willing to pay our flight wasn’t tell almost midnight did not try to help us at all after we was there almost a week and they only cleaned room one time we paid over $100 for one day smh and also took another $100 deposit when we checked in said we would get it back after we checked out will we will see the nice lady was the only one nice during the afternoon! We will not go there again!!!!!

Great location close to shops, restaurants, beach and transport.
Property good value for money though room was a bit dated however it was clean. Friendly and helpful staff. Only real issue was not enough power points and the double PowerPoints didn’t fit when you are having to use international adapters.
This is the second time staying at this property, and I will definitely book again on my next trip.

My cousin and I went for a senior trip and wanted a hotel that was affordable but nice and this hotel was it. The was obviously a bit small but it fave you everything you needed. The staff were also super nice and accommodating and I liked how we could rent movies and beach towels.

Every single member of the staff was friendly, kind, helpful and professional. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and I recommend this property to anyone planning a vacation in Hawaii. Oh and it's only like 4 minutes, walking to Waikiki Beach. Also, there's onsite laundry facilities which was a definite plus. Davery and Lance were the most awesome. Consider Aqua Aloha Surf, it's worth the stay.

They service the rooms every 3rd day and direct you around the corner to the dumpster to take out your own trash. For 4 people there is 2 bath towels, apparently to share for 3 days. There is a sharp prong holding the door shut over the fridge, the door swung shut and gouged my arm 7 times, bleeding all over, usimg the towels we all shared. If you want more towels, they have an attitude about. They give you 1 coffee packet and when you go ask for more, again the attitude. There is a $139 resort/clean fee above the room prive, but you clean your own room, so not a valid charge as far as I'm concerned.
It is a cheaper, no frills hotel and that's what it certainly is. Be careful of the elevator on the left, it snaps shut on you amd takes the skin off your arms, then stops on random floors multiple times when no one is there.

The motel accomodations were what yiu would expect from a motel 6 not a hotel in Waikiki. For the high price paid for the room it shouos have been better or price the rooms at 45-55 per night. Also having to pay for parking in the sake building that I am staying in on top of the room price is absurd.

Rooms are old it looked a lot different on the website pitchers, some of the outlets didn’t work they where loose , bathroom door kept falling and shower towel holders where all loose coming off the wall . The parking is where they get you it’s $35 a day you have no choice it’s hard to park on the street there’s no parking due to other hotels in the area and Apartments. I will not be staying here again.
