The staff were friendly and polite. Valet was always available. Property was great, restaurant and bar onsite, but there are to many local restaurants to list with in walking distance. Great place for a weekend getaway or just unwinding after a long day of work. Room was quite and spacious.

Fine for what it is
We’ve stayed here twice and I would say it’s fine. The candles they burn in the lobby though have a sickly smell that permeates through the whole place. It’s a good location and clean enough. As mentioned, it’s fine. Nothing terrible but nothing great either

Always Enjoy My Stay Here
We always stay at The Mutiny when we visit Miami. The room is comfortable and cozy and the location can't be beat. The best part, however, is the beautiful pool area with the waterfall. It's such an oasis.

Mutiny on the Bay
I was pleasantly surprised with the suite, and the view. The bed was very comfortable, the location is perfect for being close to restaurants and things to see. I felt at home.

Spacious and Lovely
A lovely spacious apartment: living room 2 TVs, bedroom and bathroom. Nice little restaurant/bar. However, I must mention the added fees (cleaning + resort). I could be wrong, but these addendums just appear to be a way to pad the wallets of the establishment.

Great stay for families. I had a “mini apartment with 2 rooms, a living room, kitchen and laundry.
View to the marina is beautiful and pool area also very nice.
I would definitely stay here with my family again.

Lovely surprise
We got in quite late and the front desk team were lovely and accommodating at both check-in and check-out.

The property and room hand a great view and during the day it was relaxing. I didn’t like that the washer and dryer unit didn’t work, the lighting in one area had no way of turning on. The cleanliness was not there. In the evenings the outside noise you can listen to. For the price I did not get the value.

I've stayed at the Mutiny off and on for over 50 years. i always enjoyed it for it's convenience to Coconut Grove, Biscayne Bay, and Coral Gables. While it has been reconditioned over the years and is one of the few "small and intimate" lodging options in the area. Unfortunately, access to the internet was not possible and no one on the premises appeared to know how to address the issue. As a result, printing my boarding passes was a creative adventure. All-in-all a good experience but not a great one.

Traveled with elderly parents (90 & 88). Reserved Premium 2-bedroom room for them to enjoy the views. 2 bedroom Reservation guaranteed a balcony with at least limited water views or garden views. Instead we were looking at the parking lot and hotel front entrance lamp.
To make matters worse couldn’t sleep in the room directly above the lobby; you could hear guests arriving/leaving hotel, valet employees/ security guard and lobby music that plays 24 hrs. day Had to sleep on very uncomfortable pull out couch in living room.

Location is amazing
Property is super clean.
Unfortunately, although it’s clean- the room I was in was very tired looking, dated. Not what the online pics show. Everything has been repainted in a sloppy way. The old bathtub has dirty grouting and it also has been repainted. A bidet?
Also be aware that there is a cleaning fee 30$ that is isn’t expressed (I didn’t see it) and parking is also 30$ a night.
Little surprises like that make the stay underwhelming.

The picture of the room have nothing to do with what is posted online. Super dirty, the staff is super rude and they look like drug dealers. The towels in the room smelled like mariguana, everything was extremely dirty. The worst place i have ever been and i travel a lot for work.

Won’t be staying here again
Unfortunately, the staff is extremely arrogant. Additionally, there were charges when I checked out that no one mentioned to me when I checked in. I found the staff to be discourteous when I asked about these charges, and they explained that there is an additional fee for Expedia cleaning.

Pros: The room was clean, comfortable and had the basic amenities. The pullout couch was perfect for our child. We enjoyed watching the sunset from the balcony. We also enjoyed the close proximity to the restaurants, Starbucks and playground, all within a 2 minute walk.
Cons: Once the luggage was loaded onto the cart, no one helped bring it into the lobby. They just left it there for us to deal with. There was some water with fruit in it but no cups. Which ended up being ok since it looked like it had been there for days. We arrived at 3:10pm and they were adamant about not letting us in the room before the 4pm check in time. Last but certainly not leader was the morning valet service. First day the attendant was sleeping in the backseat of a car in the valet circle. When he went to get our vehicle, someone else in the backseat began vomiting aggressively all over the ground. It was beyond disturbing and disgusting. Second morning the same attendant was sleeping this time in a minivan parked off to the side. We couldn’t find him for a while until the front desk called him and was able to wake him up.
This experience definitely cast a bad light on the hotel and overall experience. It’s a shame because the hotel itself was decent for the price and in a great location. But I don’t think we’ll be staying here again.

The perfect base for our family holiday. A quiet location within walking distance of the shops/restaurants of Coconut Grove and the Metrorail into central Miami. Pool was great as well.

ONLY ONE ELEVATOR WAS OPERATING. THE DOWN BUTTON ON 4TH FLOOR DID NOT WORK. HAD TO CALL UP AND THEN FIND THE WAY DOWN.
INTERNET WAS FUZZY AT BEST.
THE REST WAS FINE.

I liked the history of the building and how the main floor felt like we were in a different time and place. We enjoyed having a suite with a full kitchen even though we did not use it.
The room we stayed in was outdated with carpet and had a bit of an odor. We had friends staying in other rooms that were already updated as the photos show.

Did not like this hotel
The view was not nice. Really noisy, when people arrived or left the hotel we heard everything in the room. Also when they used a blower outside in the street early in the morning. There was a roach in the kitchen. The shower floor had stains not sure of what. We reserved two king beds and received one king and one queen. Restaurant was always closed in the mornings so no breakfast was served. Even though hotel description said 24hr front desk, one night they had a sign front desk closed until next day 7am. We asked to talk to the manager and were told by the security guard that he was the only one there. No one in reception and it was not possible to speak to a manager.

This hotel was a dream. Staff were friendly. The surrounding area was nice and it was quiet. I felt safe and everything was pretty central. I recommend it for a nice getaway. You can still drive to where all the action is without loosing any good nights rest. Thank you! Restaurant was delicious and so were the drinks. Looking froward to our return!

Schizophrenic policy
We have stayed several times at this hotel. The hotel itself is nice and quiet. But please remember it's a hotel but the hotel wants to pretend that it's an Airbnb when it's convenient for them. If I go to a hotel instead of Airbnb it is because I want full services. On this last stay, housekeeping did not make up my room during my two night stay. When I told the front desk upon leaving, they said they do not provide housekeeping if less than three nights. Despite this, they charged me a $35 cleaning fee. You're a hotel, why are you charging for housekeeping especially if you are not providing??? Last time here.

This hotel is awesome. Its like an apartment/condo really. We had 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, full kitchen, laundry in unit, whats nit to love! You could comfortably stay here for a month! We will be back.

No self parking
The hotel and room are decent nice,
But there is NO self parking at this hotel and I was not a ware of this.
Valet parking $30 a day.
So if you in the rush to go anywhere you have to wait for someone to get your car and I tipped the person every time he brought the car . Felt like had to tip the guy then still have to pay for parking .

The property is centrally located in the heart of Coconut Grove. Only one elevator was working throughout my stay. The check in could have been smoother, the room was not ready by 4:00 pm.

Disappointing
The location in Coconut Grove is excellent. This hotel is in serious need of renovations. The rooms and bathrooms are dated. The Mutiny used to be a first class hotel, it is no longer the case. Housekeeping did not come at all during my two day stay to clean my room, give me fresh towels or bath items. On departure they wanted to charge me a $30 cleaning fee which is not acceptable for a hotel ( this is not an Airbnb or VRBO).
The front office staff were most courteous and professional.

Worst stay of my life got in late, had to wait 30 minutes for someone to realize about 10 people were waiting, the concierge didnt check us the security did which is odd i have never had that happen, especially at a hotel that is advertised as somewhat luxury and had to stay at this hotel only to walk into a dirty bathroom and now being told i cant get a refund because i stayed the night, i got in at 12 am... where was i supposed to go on such short notice with my family of 4. Not only that i put in my complaint the night of, didnt get my room switched no one came to clean and the restaurant is closed for construction so when it says there is room service there isnt because the only kitchen is the one in the closed restaurant.

The rooms do not include daily cleaning or fresh towels. I stayed 4 nights and room was never cleaned. Toiletries include shampoo, conditioner, and soap and do not include face wash or body lotion. Mildew in bathroom under sink. Decor is very outdated. Location is great, everything else could improve. Reviews stated 4.5 stars, but actual property would be 3.0 to 3.25 at best.

Love the location. I travel with a wheelchair and wc access is tricky (steep ramps, no doorman, ramp leads directly into traffic flow of porte cochere)
Staff was courteous and helpful (although we had requested early check in and didn’t even get in by our regular check in time!!)
Toilet was broken but quickly repaired.
Beds were less than stellar 😑

We stayed at the Mutiny several years ago with our children and as empty nesters decided to go back. the front desk staff was very friendly and happily moved us from a room with a parking lot view to poolside. All the rooms have stickers on the door showing the room has been cleaned and sanitized. We discovered an area on the floor that appeared to be blood with a clump of hair. We notified the front desk on our way out and they were going to send someone right up. Hours later we returned and it had not been cleaned. they sent someone up and they poured a cup of water on the area and mopped up with a swiffer. My husband had to finish cleaning it up and the towel he used was filthy. so much for cleaned and sanitized! Other than this, stay was fine but the unique shops we visited years ago have been replaced with pricy eateries. Only so much you can eat in a day so have to drive or uber to find shopping.

Hotel isn’t clean and stole my belongings
We stayed here for spring break and the room was very dirty. There were splatters on the walls and the floors grout was full of dirt. There were pubic hairs on the toilet, and all of the white doors had dirty hand prints on it.
We had to pack up last minute and leave. I had left some of my favorite clothes in drawers and my daughters as well. I called them within 1 hour of my departure and told them this. They said they had sound the clothes and would mail them back, but mailed only my daughters clothes back and never sent mine. It’s obvious whoever found them decided to keep mine.
The hotel is in a nice area and the pool is great. But besides that the hotel has some thieves working for them and needs to focus on there cleaning skills.

Pros: Good amenities in our room with kitchen, bathtub, shower. Hotel itself is situated in a great location in coconut grove.
Nice pool and hot tub area.
Cons: bathtub was not clean and had a ring around it, likely bc it did not drain water at all. This was reported to management who sent someone to fix but it wasn't resolved.
There was hair around the sink which means cleaning could have been better.
Its on a busy street so if car noises are bothersome, better to get a room further back (ie not the ocean facing ones).
Overall, I would come back provided that the tubs work and cleaned properly.

I didn’t like that there was no recycling or change of linens and towels.
Overall I was very pleased with the amenities, the pool and hot tub were excellent. The hotel is conveniently located, the view was fantastic, the kitchen was amazing. I love that I could cook a meal every night and refrigerate my perishables. I appreciated the convenience of having a washer and dryer and a dishwasher was a great addition. The balcony view was awesome and the valet Was very quick to retrieve my vehicle and were very pleasant to deal with. I was very pleased with the workout room as they had many Workout options. I definitely will be back again and my overall stay was super comfortable. Every time I go to Florida I will be definitely be staying at the Mutiny.

We booked a 2 bedroom suite with a view of the bay; but when we got to the property they told us that there had been a plumbing issue and they instead put us in two one-bedroom units that did not have a water view. They told us that they may be able to move us to the 2 bedroom unit in a couple of days. We ultimately were able to move halfway through our stay - interestingly after someone else had checked out, so it sounds like it was not actually a plumbing issue, but instead had been double booked - The two bedroom unit was much nicer and was what we had expected for our whole stay. The hotel did comp the parking costs but was not willing to provide any additional compensation for their mistake. Would not stay here again.

Really an apartment building
Look, one needs to know first and foremost that this is not a hotel as many of us know it. It’s really an apartment building with some rooms dedicated to daily rental. There is no room cleaning or remaking of the bed. The pool is better than a lot of hotels. Check carefully what is happening by in the area. We were there during the art festival which is great if that is the attraction for you. If not, it makes getting around extremely difficult plus it’s not free to walk around - it’s $50 a day. The gym was just adequate, the All the best, remote was broken. There was a washer and dryer with no sample detergent but the dishwasher had one cube in the cabinet. Nice big closet, decent sitting area with couch and table and chairs.
The worst part of the stay was the door to the apartment which one needed to yank hard to open and slam in order for it to close. Others musta had the same problem on that floor because we heard it all the time from the hallway.
So not the worst place I’ve ever stayed but very disappointing considering the price

I liked that the property looks really nice and neat. The hotel hallways and floors were always clean. The front desk receptionist greeted well and explained the COVID regulations in place.
What I did not really like about the hotel is that they booked me into a room that was not what I had not paid for. I paid Expedia extra money for the extra comfort. I explained to the receptionist and showed him my booking. He said that he was really sorry but that the hotel was fully booked and that he would speak to his manager. When he came back, he says that he was really sorry, but that his manager said that we did not have to pay for valet parking. I went on to explain that we did not rent a car on this trip. He talked to his manager again and his manager told him to tell me that he will contact Expedia, so that they can refund me the extra money that I paid.
Upon arrival to the hotel room without a choice and exhausted from my trip I noticed that the bed sheets from the sofa bed had a stain and the bed was not functional. The bed would not open all the way. My son had to sleep very uncomfortable for the three nights. All they provided was a couple of pillows and a sheet to sleep.

Not possible to check out , no staff only security at 8 in the morning. Valet parking guy arrived at 8, not possible to get your car out before that. Restaurant had only a few tables, closed early. Fitted bed sheet not clean.
No information about street closure due to Art market in Coconut Grove.
