DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!
Cops were at the property due to domestic disputes. I didn't feel safe and barely slept the one night I was here. I had my door double locked and barricaded and still felt no sense of safety.
Breakfast was a choice of congealed sausage, crusty eggs, stale breads, or cereal with no milk.
The phone in the room did not work so you couldn't call the front desk if something was needed. The room smelled musty and the curtains did not close all the way. The walls are paper thin and you could hear a flea fart in the room next to you.
When requesting a copy of my receipt the front desk attendant stated a tip was required after handing me my receipt. I looked at her like she was crazy after the awful conditions I had just endured.

Clean, quiet, with a convenient location to the interstate and restaurants. For the money it was perfect…no complaints, and the front desk person was friendly and efficient.

Check in was smooth and staff very nice but rooms were worn down. We only had 2 towels for a family of four in our room and breakfast was unappetizing and very limited. Luckily we only stayed overnight on our way across the country but even then I wouldn’t stay again.

Curtains were filthy. Television went from bright to dark after a period of watching. Bathroom wall had stains on walls and chip marks all over. Had to leave a $100 room deposit then upon checking out they inspected room before they returned the deposit and let me leave. Very unprofessional.

When we to check in, staying for 2 nights. We were told not to 3pm. It was after 1pm
Very strict about checking in, wouldt even precheck us in, so we wouldn't have to wait.
Our room (216) was literally across the elevator.
This room needs some repair work.
Saturday morning was feeling nauseous, couldn't figure it out, there was an odor. When I opened the door, the hallway smelled of weed. Must of been, a lot of smoking. It was disgusting. There we're kids staying on this floor too.
Came back to the room Saturday evening, room was not even touched
We had zero towels, because the ones we were given were used. Went to front desk, were given 4 hand towels, 2 of them were thin. Garbage was overflowing.
The toilet was so low, to put it, if your wiping yourself, your hand is in the toilet water.
Breakfast was a joke. Guest were leaving the hotel to get what they called "real food".
The eggs were fluffy but no taste. There was also sausage patties. There was bread for that and baked, which problem were frozen. They also had yogurt but was frozen.
Beverage was orange juice, apple juice, and coffee.
There was the waffle maker, ( where you make your own), no sugar free syrup.
They also had a cereal dispenser with a gallon of milk in fridge.
There was a hot water thermos, but no tea bags.
Saturday morning got on the elevator and a guest told me don't bother with breakfast. They had McDonalds bags with them. Told them your McDonalds smell good, and I agree breakfast is not worth.

I was disappointed that my room only had a shower and no bath tub. I was told I could have ask for a room with a bathtub but I didn't know it didn't have one until I got there.

Ridiculous pet fees
Can't tell you how the stay was because I didn't get to actually stay. We were traveling and needed a place to rest our heads for the night. Chose a pet friendly hotel and upon check in was advised they were going to charge me $50 for my autistic children's ESA dogs. The room was only $56 for the night. I thought it was ridiculous to be charged an additional $50 for 8 hours. If it was one $25 pet fee, ok fine, I would have dealt with it; A $50 deposit for damages, if there were any, I would have dealt with it; a longer stay, ok fine, I'd have paid it; But to charge $25 per pet, per night, for service dogs is ridiculous.

Breakfast had no available water. When requested water, staff led me across hotel to fitness room where a water dispenser was located. No cups or glasses were available so returned to my room for a water bottle amd returned to cold breakfast. Laquinta waffles are my favorite - waffle maker timer did NOT cook waffle and three more attempts were gooey. Killed a bug in the bathroom. No towels in the pool, had to request.

Room was okay but there were repairs that are being overlooked. Breakfast was not being refilled without asking. Sausage was cool. Great location and I didn't get to use it but had an indoor pool. Also had to pay $25 for small 7 lbs dog, while staying all other LaQuinta have never paid a pet fee.

Person working front desk double charged my card for deposit which made it decline and put a hold on it. The had to pay deposit with cash which was my spending money for the event I was going to. Ended up having to reach out to someone to send me money for the event I was going to. Front desk was very rude during interaction.

Was very nice considering the low cost. Bed was very comfortable. Room was dated and a bit worn but clean. They require a $100 deposit at checkin which can take up to 2 weeks to credit back if you use a debit card. Overall very good for the price.

We showed up at 4:30 and our room was not ready. Check in was at 3:00. She said it would be another hour and offered us a smaller room. I said no thanks I don't want to move our things more than once. So we leave and come back to a disaster. The fridge had food still in it and coffee spilled all over, garbage in the drawers of the night stand, stains on the wall and curtains. We are not picky but this was the dirtiest hotel we have ever stayed in. The pool was merky enough I would never get in it.

The property was just run down in general! The room needed work and had bugs in it. Nobody was taking care of the "free" breakfast, out of eggs and sausage, no forks, bread was stale etc...Room service didn't make the bed or empty the trash! We'll not be staying at this motel again!!!

When we check in, gave us a key card went to room open the door. Someone else had their luggage on the bed on the floor went back to where we checked in and told them someone was already in that room got another room the commode would not flush had to get that fixed then the beds were so hot of the floor was very hard to get into. Why are they so high off the floor? Breakfast was terrible. Sausage and eggs were not good. Sausage was nothing but fat I want thing good was the coffee?

overall a pleasant stay!
wanted a cheap hotel to stay at with my bestie and her baby. reasonable pricing! had a pool. very spacey. not much stuff in the pool room. water was warmer which was nice. the rooms were cute and clean. we stayed 2 nights and when we needed things the staff was easy and pleasant to work with. only about a 16 minute drive to downtown saint louis going west. gas stations and stores close.

DON’T STAY HERE!!
We tried to cancel this booking we were unkindly told no even though we were traveling cross country and couldn’t make it to the hotel, we tried anyways and ended up in an accident all to not lose $90. Several reviews reference bed bugs and roaches, we did eventually make it to the property after our check out time. Beware there’s nothing good here, just rude people and a nasty atmosphere.

The room was dirty when we checked in with other people’s trash still in the room. The also fully charged my credit card the $100 per deposit even though there was no damage. Apparently they always do that and you have to call to get it issued back. Ridiculous!

Smells like weed fridge doesn’t work, doesn’t cool the room, piss in the toilet, mold in the shower. Question, leaving anything in my truck due to people hanging out in the parking lot at 10 PM people are running through the hallway at 10 PM. Jim is also terrible. There are two sizes of weights 45 and 50 pounds that’s it one treadmill that kind of works out of two

Check-in experience was poor. Front desk staff "accidentally" charged my credit card for more than the total prepaid stay after I mentioned that I booked online and prepaid. The charge actually posted and I had to request and wait for a refund. This took time out of our trip, as no one was readily available at the desk when we identified the issue. The staff at the front desk was argumentative and less than pleasant to work with.
The pool was small and lacked any towels available for use. The room was in disrepair and not properly stocked for the amount of guests staying(Not enough towels, etc). The carpets / floors needed a good cleaning and the sheets were stained. The toilet only flushed if you held the handle down for an extended period of time. Toilet plungers were present in the hallway right next to an ice machine.
Guests did not adhere to the quiet hours at the hotel and staff did not enforce the policy. Hotel breakfast would essentially run out before the operating hours ended and would not be replenished. We never ate the breakfast due to the limited items left each day when we arrived. Parking lot and surrounding grass was filled with trash and debris.

DISAPPOINTING
This place was a disappointment! I thought that I had seen a rating of 8-9 so I was expecting a nicer place. The first room they gave us there was water on the bathroom floor. The lady at the front desk did change our room without complaint. The second room had some mold in the corners of the shower. I know this is hard to control; but, a little bleach water would take care of this. They only provided us with 1 washcloth and 1 hand towel for two people. We even had to ask for and extra bath towel. If we wanted anything, we had to walk down to the front desk to ask since their was no phone in the room to give us easy access to the front desk. Yes, I know I could have looked up the number of the hotel and called from my cell phone; but, most hotels still have desk phones that you can at least use to get service. The general appearance of the room showed a lack of care by the maintenance staff.

Less than mediocre -overcharging is a step too far
The hotel was rode hard and put away wet. If you are looking simply for a bed to sleep in for a night, it's probably ok. If you are looking for anything beyond that, this place is quite putrid. Everything is old and doesn't even attempt to cover up it's age. Breakfast was a joke. The icing on the cake was that my credit card hold for the deposit just conveniently got processed as a regular charge on my card. Still working on getting that removed. Based on the quality of the hotel alone, I would not have wasted my time on a review.....but the deposit charge was just a bit too much.

It was horrible. The minute we walked in it smelled like sweat , animal urine, and everything under the sun. Our room smelled just as bad. Our blankets were humid/ wet. Couldn’t sleep. If i wouldn’t have paid i would have left.

This was the worst experience Ive had in my entire life! IDK how much money they are paying to get a 7* review posted to their H.Com reviews but 7*s Is BEYOND DECEPTIVE! , ROTTING furniture , Brown junk in the refrigerator as well as a left over chicken! And we can not forget about the tolit NOT Flushing Or .....( Drumroll) ......The cockroaches taking over the bathroom floor while the lights are off!!!! Don unpack your bags or sleep without a head covering at this place !

The building has been severely neglected.
As soon as you step in, there is a strong smell of mildew and cleaner.
The bathroom in the room smelled like a public restroom in a park.
I refused to shower because it looked like the shower had black mold.
I would've left but i was only spending the night and had rolled in very late.

I did not like that 4 days later they still have not removed the $100 incidental charge from my credit card even though I left the room in good form. I will soon complain to the chain and possibly file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. The word fraud comes to mind. Also, the room was in poor condition for a chain hotel. Chipped paint on the walls, and every time I flushed the toilet, I had to take the top off the tank and manually pull the chain out from under the rubber gasket. Try shortening your tank chain, numb-nuts. This place is really bush league. smh

The facade of this property appears to be well maintained. However, inside hallways and rooms are showing signs of aging and deterioration which can be fixed if only management can focus on it. The bathroom shower glass and floor, toilet bowl has stains that can be cleaned just by scrubbing or sprayed with bleach. Stains are an ugly site in any bathroom. Tiles also need grouted. Only one face towel for 2 people. The shelving behind the door is dusty, and I had to wipe it before putting my toiletries there.
Breakfast was fine. Staff not as welcoming at 4pm check in.

I know you get what you pay for, but I over paid for this night! The room was smelly and dirty. The bathroom curtain had nasty marks all over it and grime on the floor. The air conditioner was loud and leaked water all over the ground, my bag was soaking wet. The pool was shut down and had to be approved by the health department before it could be opened. Breakfast was a disaster. No forks, EXPIRED milk, and when asked for forks, new milk, and waffle mix the man sighed and walked out. I waited 20 minutes and as we finally left the area he brought out new milk another person asked for forks and the mix and then it was done.

The check in process was significantly delayed, considering my room should have been ready 4 hours ago. My room was not ready when I arrived at 8pm. The posted pictures of the facility do not align with the current physical standing of the facility. The hotel needs attention and major updating. The room was by far overpriced and not at all what I expected.

The air conditioner barely worked. The pool was closed by the Illinois health commission. IT was dirty. There was no room phone. I tried to get assistance with getting more pillows, a pull out bed and with assitance with parking and was just shrugged off.

You should avoid.
This place is pretty run-down. Some of the staff members didn't seem to care a whole lot about the condition of the hotel or service either. The rate at this place was reduced for good reason, but I would still have taken a different option.

Fleebag hotel
The hotel lobby was old, faded and dirty. There were huge holes in the check in counter wall The pool was dry. There were FLEES in my room and even the white sheer curtain was stained a disgusting color brown. I did not stay. I am currently disputing the reservation fee.

The pool is shut down by IDPH. No notice to this prior to walking into the hotel. The power went out the night we stayed with no reason behind it. The hotel charged an extra $100 (does not show this charge anywhere prior to check in but attempted to bill for it hours before we checked in) and did not return the deposit like promised. Waffle machine was broken both days and breakfast consisted of juice and toast.

Bad 4 days At Laquinta
when we checked in to the hotel ..room #1 had two towels Room #2 had no towels no hangers no Iron Or Ironing Boad ,day two sat ,we couldnt get any towels at all i wa s told the washing machine was broken ,i asked to speak to manager ..oh he want be back till monday ..Day 3 we where given 4 wash clothes only no towels at all and still no manager ...i said that realy sucks to not come and listen to complaints are even try to fix it ..day 4 on checkout 6am no was around at the desk..it says drop cards in Box ...that was a Bad 4ys i came all the way from Texas to Celebrate My Dads 100 Birthday and this was the downer ..oh by the way no Pool either i dont knoe free Rooms i want some of my Money back i paid $800 dollars up front ..i want half of my Money Back and know one will answer phone calls from Laquinta at alll

I do not recommend La Quinta Inn & Suites. We booked months ago 3 nights for 2 gueen beds, were pretty sure there fulls. After check in we found out the pool has been shut down from the state for a week and a half which was a main choice for us picking a hotel was to have a pool. The side entrances wont let you back in. The ice maker on our floor dont work. The waffle maker dont work so they run out of breakfast too early. Now the power dont work some lights they have on butthe ac is off and the elevator if off. Now they are telling me im getting my deposit minus $20 for dirty sheets and towels. They was fine when we left. And one rag we had to clean up a spot in the hallway cus they wouldn't come clean it .
Why pay for pool,elevator,ac,side door entrance and complimentary breakfast which never was the full time they said and half of it didnt work and stale bread the butter was all dry and cracked and old and nasty
You have got to be joking.
We couldn't cancel and wait for a refund and get a hotel last min somewhere else cus they cost more being last minute

Room was dirty, mess drapes were stiff due to being dirty. Only 2 towels in the bathroom, I called down and ask for 2 more towels, I was told I needed to come down to get them. When I got to the desk I waited 10 minutes with not one being at the desk, only a man sitting in the lobby. I went back to my room and called down again and was told they would bring some towels up. The man that was sitting in the lobby that ignores me, was the man who brought the towels up.

It’s okay- if you want to be overcharged.
When we arrived to the location, the grass was high and the outside of the building had not been taken care of at all. Went inside to check in and the front desk guy left for 15 mins to help someone with their key to get in and finally came to help me. They already had ran my card prior to me getting to check in- the hotel room 105 wouldn’t even lock, like the deadbolt lock wouldn’t lock and I had my daughter and my mother with me. Breakfast was alright but my issue is I have been over changed on my card- can’t get a single person to answer the phone and I would highly highly never recommend this hotel to anyone. Just over all experience was horrible. If I would have know this- I would have stayed somewhere else for my money. I’m irritated that no one will answer- I have called 10 times.

The pool was being worked on, we chose this hotel for the pool that my kids needed to get their crazies out from being on the road. For a family of 5 we only had 4 pillows and they wouldn't give us more. They wouldn't provide more than 4 towels either. There was a group of about 30 people partying outside the entrance until 1 am so my husband barely slept before we hit the road for 10 hours.

We arrived at the property to check in, went upstairs to our room. The TV was not working. It was 10 o’clock at night. I had to go downstairs and ask for somebody to fix the TV. We went back up into the room and started putting some water in the refrigerator that was covered in ice and not putting out any cold air. So at 10:30 I had to go back downstairs and ask for somebody to come up and take care of the refrigerator. The room had a musty/urine smell in it. We asked for towels and they told us they didn’t have any that were clean, also no wash clause were clean. Address this with the person who I thought was the manager but then another guy came out and claimed he was the manager. I addressed all of these issues along with the fact that there was no icemaker that was working. The pool had tons of things floating in it, so that was not usable. I requested a refund at checkout. They told me I had to reach out to you for it. The people who owned the hotel, who were there were extremely rude, and was yelling and over talking me as I was trying to explain what all of the issues were . As I was checking out, there were multiple people who were complaining about all of the stuff that I just mentioned. Also, breakfast that was served was nothing but soggy eggs. That no one was eating. This was the worst hotel I’ve ever been at, staff/manager very rude, yelling. Mold around the bathtub and on the floor of the bathroom. bathroom floor filthy. I have pictures

Hotel was dirty. Stain on comforter and mattress pads. Pool was so cloudy. Breakfast area was disgustingly filthy. La Quinta is not like it used to be. Never had to think twice about staying at one. That has definitely changed after this stay.

The room was clean, only one wash cloth and no blow dryer, had to go to the desk and ask for the items. For a moment I felt as though the kid behind the desk thought that I stole the dryer and thats why I was asking for another one.
The outside had cigarette butts all over and the grounds were unkept and garbage cans were overflowing. I'm not sure about breakfast, we didn't stay for it.

The motel was run down and the toilet was stopped up could not flush it and did not have enough linen went down to front desk asked for wash clothes and towels they gave us 2 wash rags and two bath towels when we got to the room their was only 1 wash rag and two towels. I would not ever book their again when we are in that area again. It was not worth what we paid for it.

I will NEVER book anything through Expedia again. EVER. The booking was non refundable. When I arrived at the hotel late that evening and found it to be unclean, the hotel agreed to give me a refund. The Indian girl was pleasant, not rude. However, getting Expedia to honor the hotel’s refund was a huge pain and took a long time. Initially, they refused to refund it. If you want to book a room, scroll down and find the hotel’s number and call them. Do not run your money through Expedia.

Ridiculous!
Very disappointed in Hotel.com and the hotel. Our party of five got to the hotel and the manager checking me in stated that I called and changed my reservation from a deluxe king with pull out to two queen beds. I explained to him that I didn’t call and change my reservation. He then tells me that Expedia person called and changed it. He couldn’t do anything because he was sold out.
I called hotels.com and the first rep was great he agreed that I got the deluxe king and he would have to transfer me to another rep so they could talk to the hotel. The next guy was terrible - he goes to tell me I only got a deluxe king bed no pull out couch. Even though if you go on the website for hotels or Laquita it shows 5 sleeps the deluxe king and not in a king room. I requested a supervisor to contact back. He told me that someone would call within the hour. We went to dinner waiting for a call. Never received a call back and I called again. Spoke to supervisor Elder and he was going to move us to another hotel that could accommodate us but we got disconnected (no call back) so I called hotels back and got another supervisor. I was in the mix of requesting a refund and the manager offered us the exact room I reserved deluxe king with pull out couch. This whole situation lasted 4 hours, which was ridiculous on all parties. The room was fine - mold in the shower and just not very clean (I had already read the reviews and came prepared with sheets and towels) but overall I would not stay.

Disappointed
The hotel was not well-kept up, the staff did not care, the whole experience was very disappointing, because we love La Quinta‘s. Will never stay at this La Quinta again.

Pack towels
This hotel evidently has an issue with linens. Each room was equipped with one bath towel. We had 4 different families and each different room also only had one bath towel.
One family reserved a 2 queen room. They are a family of 5. They were switched to a king room with a pull out. They asked for blankets for the pullout and got one sheet and one pillow and were told they would bring up more. They never did. Oldest daughter ended up sleeping on the floor.
