I did not like the fact that price match was not honored. I did not like the nearly $300 a night and the entry carpet into my room was literally duct taped together. The staff was courteous and I’ve always stayed here when visiting my daughter. The housekeeping staff were amazing.

Older hotel. Desk attendants were not very friendly or helpful, especially with parking. Room was small, dark and a cold air leak through the window sealing kept the room cold, despite the heat working. The parking process was complicated and we received little assistance from the desk clerk, as it was not the hotel responsibility, we were told, even though there was a parking kiosk in the lobby. The hotel was a convenient location for us.

Perfect location
This is a big city hotel in a quiet (for NYC) neighborhood. Modern conveniences. Room was very clean. Comfortable bed. Helpful staff. Only comment is heavy perfume scent upon entering my room. I stayed for four days. I will use this hotel again.

Unworthy of the Marriot brand… . in need of a renovation/update. The entrance was not clean. Rooms were much cleaner.. unfriendly staff. The coffee maker was inconveniently placed on top of the microwave it was unreachable for a pettite person. Had housekeeping everyday with fresh towels!

Second time here, service is always good! Last night other guests next to our room made noise around 1am, we called reception, staff came and advised the guests twice, we had peaceful night afterwards. We will come back again for sure.

The parking was 1/2 the amount of the room and the valet service was difficult to understand on machine. The chair in the room had a lot of stains.

We spent the week of Christmas here. The staff were friendly, the hotel was clean and we could get to the subway easily. The rooms are a little small for a family of 4, but we were out all day and we were only there at the nights for a place to sleep, so it worked.

This hotel does not have good customer service. When we walked in the staff wouldn’t even acknowledge us. I got there at 1pm and they wanted to charge me $75. I then waited 40 mins and it was complimentary. Staff at the front desk was rude. The only kind staff was the ladies who cleaned.

Not many choices on upper east side. The TV and one of only 2 elevators often didn't work. Not worth the money.

Rooms were freezing and they finally moved us at 1am-tried a couple of rooms before we found one that wasn’t freezing. They told us this is the way the rooms are! Horrible!!!

The elevators weren’t all functioning so wait time was long. The front desk people were harried and unhelpful. I stayed there for two nights after an operation and they barely acknowledged my situation. They didn’t even offer to hold the doors when my husband was trying to pack up the car and help me out in my wheelchair.The front courtyard area had very little in the way of amenities ….no real food just some snacks. Won’t be staying here again.

It is a really quiet area if you want to visit the big apple but at the same time wake up to a more calm day and then ride just one train ( subway) to downtown. Very nice

This was a great hotel. It was a pretty standard hotel, which is what we were looking for, since it is hard to find a decent hotel for a reasonable price in the area.
The hotel is walking distance from Central Park, but is too far to walk to Time Square or any of the downtown Manhattan attractions. So you'll need to consider transportation options if staying at this hotel.
But overall, the room was clean and the staff was nice enough in our limited encounters. We would stay here again for sure.

The hotel was convenient to our relatives and handy for visiting various places. The webpage said breakfast included but there was no restaurant on site - we bypassed that challenge and enjoyed our stay.

We did not have caffeinated coffee pods in our room and coffe downstairs was out. We requested one night less for reservation due to funeral change and never got call back from revenue manager. Requested room service after we left for funeral home 3:30 and they never came. Very disappointing for spending this much per night

This is a fantastic Marriott Courtyard hotel when visiting NYC. Facility is immaculate, staff extremely helpful. Getting around the city via cab or Uber is simple.

Room was clean The only problem was the dead bolt on the door. Was not working properly and I was locked in my room the following morning. Thank God there was no emergency! Also there is no restaurant in the hotel. Good thing there was a corner market

We have been here multiple times since our daughter lives in NYC. It has been consistently great to stay at. Rooms are fancy but they are clean and nice. Location is great with restaurants & Central Park walkable.

We had a great stay. The transport links are excellent with the Q metro 5 min away and the ferry nearby. It’s lovely to return to a quieter part of the city in a lovely neighbourhood.
There are tables in the lobby to sit and eat food from local delis which really helped us.

The rooms were spacious compared to others we've stayed in NYC. The area felt relatively safe to walk around at night. Being in the upper east side away from the chaos of downtown was amazing. Hotel is about a quarter mile walk to the subway which was great. We were close to small markets to get things we needed and enjoyed the hotels recommendations for nearby food and drinks. Overall enjoyed our experience and would recommend!

This is a nice hotel in a nice area of NYC. It was around the corner from a subway station. The hotel itself feels a bit old but it has been kept up pretty well. I can tell that housekeeping works hard here.

This is a really tired, dated hotel, but one of only two in this area of the UES. We have stayed here many times because of its location. Probably never again. It is horribly overpriced, with no amenities, dirty, lighting is poor, TVs sometimes work, some rooms have kicked in doors where the dead bolt doesn’t work (safety issue). Staff is kind and the beds are comfortable. Otherwise, zero value for the hundreds spent.

Good location but sub-par amenities. No restaurant, no bottled water in the room, no bar, no mini-bar in room. The staff was super attentive. The hotel description was not reality; looks expansive but is a near-dreary lobby. Its one of the few reasonable hotels in the area of the upper east at 1st and 92nd, but ain't no great shakes...

An unpleasant experience
We found a cockroach in our room on the first night. We were switched rooms... the next day. No upgrades or compensation. In the second room, the air conditioning was on at full blast. We were told it was impossible to turn off. It was 55 degrees out, so we froze all night for two more nights. Cleanliness left a lot to be desired overall.

Liked building convenience, welcoming and eager-to assist staff, walkability to the corner store and valet parking. The building is old, with very small bathroom and small room, but bed linens were comfortable and clean. We could hear everyone in the halway and the adjacent rooms, and bathroom doors looked unkept.

Friendly staff. About 8 min from Q line and close to bus stops. 10-15 min from Central Park. Safe neighborhood. Not many amenities- no lotion or other bathroom extras but had the basics. Free coffee/tea. For dining options, go to York avenue- great cafes and sandwich shops.

the building has a lot of potential. but at this moment it is not what you would expect with that hotel chain. I stay for regular work in Florida and they are much better and for the price I pay. There were many options, only I decided on that hotel chain because of the good previous experiences

Surprising for NY
The hotel is nice and the rooms are 'normal' for a Courtyard in the US, which is basically huge for NY. I think this hotel is great and will stay here again.

It would have been a complete 5 star. There was no bottle water in the room or the mini fridge when we checked in on a hot summer afternoon. Had to go out to the grocery store on 2nd avenue to buy a pack of bottled water.

Not the swankiest neighbourhood but never felt unsafe. Nice foyer with good coffee on tap. Room pretty standard, beds comfy. Nice to have fridge and microwave. Would stay there again.
