Too many construction workers, room were tattered (curtains ripped, comforter worn & lumpy, frig didn't work, no exhaust fan in bathroom & breakfast was terrible (no meat was served) options was limited, ice machine on main floor wasn't working had to go to the third floor & trash was overflowing, even in the front entrance!

Booked for an employee of ours. He said there was what looked like a blood stain on the curtain, and enough hair around the room, he could've made a wig. Not clean. At least the shuttle got him to the airport on time for his early morning flight out of Columbia.

I haven’t stayed here in a few years but recall it being more “Country”. Now it was redone, with not much care of what went where. The stairway leading up to the second floor is hideous. Looks like a handyman went to Home Depot and got some wire and supplies and put it together. Put the Country bank into this Country Inn.

Looks nice could use some special touches. Stained carpet in the hallway. Coming from New York City. I knew there was a funny smell in the hallway like roaches. I over
looked it and over smelled it too.. of course I wake up and 2 Roaches in my coffee lid. This place could use a exterminator.. The rooms or OK... looks Freshly painted...beds are ok .

The newly renovated facility was clean and conveniently located. The staff were friendly, courteous, and efficient. I choose to stay only at properties that serve free hot breakfast, and this hotel was no exception. Their shining star would have been just a bit brighter with a little more variety in the choice of breakfast foods, but it was good. Overall my staff at this hotel was a very nice experience.

when i pulled up, i thought uh oh, there was a strong smell of weed and old hotel furniture was the first thing I saw in the parking lot. for a moment i wanted to look for another hotel. However, i went in and was pleasantly surprised that it looked better than before. I stayed there before about 3 or 4 years back and it was a cozy country atmosphere in the lobby. Now, it's way more modern contemporary!! my room was exactly the same, very nice!!! All i can say is don't let the outside fool you.

Bad choice!
Well let’s see… killed roaches on the tv the first night. The place is under construction and they start early. Shower curtain didn’t touch the ground so the bathroom floor is wet your entire stay. They don’t clean your room during your stay. The fire alarm goes off if you get the shower too hot. The news in the parking lot is ridiculous. People were nice.

Decent for overnight
The room itself was clean but the beds a little lumpy looking. Overall comfortable to sleep for overnight. Remodeling being done which will upgrade it a little. Breakfast was underwhelming, alarm went off in the middle of the night , and one of my rooms was not ready an hour after check in. I would recommend but be cautious.

Hotel is under construction for renovation. Construction materials are stored everywhere on the property. Most renovation looks pretty well done, but some corners are still being cut. Our bathroom door was warped from age/moisture but repainted. Downstairs ice machine is not working. However, reception was very positive.

Terrible stay
Hotel was under rehab. Outside there was furniture strewn all over. It was a mess. Front desk didn’t acknowledge me. No greeting when they did start to check me in. Gave me a room that hadn’t been cleaned. Never apologized. Really bad experience—especially for the pt.

The front office staff (Alley) was very nice and helpful to set up 2 rooms next to each other because of my senior mother. It was appreciated very much since the hotel was pretty full. The place is under renovation but close to being done. Everything was new and clean and was a very nice place to stay. I would stay here again when we come back this way. Breakfast was perfect for a nice breakfast before we hit the road. Very clean and well stocked.

Nice and quiet. It was under renovation so some areas were cluttered with construction supplies. Our room smelled like it was a smoking room but staff wes able to move us to a better one

Clean enough and comfortable, despite the current renovation project. The free airport shuttle was very convenient. There are not restaurants walkable from the property. The staff was super friendly and made my stay very pleasant.

My main complaint would be the smell of the room. It smelled damp/moldy. The shower did not have a strong water pressure. We were surprised to find our room was not cleaned, but later learned that we had to specifically request it be cleaned. That was not told us when we checked in. Minor point, but just wanted to share that feedback. The staff were friendly.

We had a two day stay first day with no water available could not flush toilets used ice bucket to get water from pool to flush. No water for coffee with only a couple of pastries available for breakfast. Room outdated and in need of serious repairs and upgrade. Will not stay here again. Would have to think hard about staying at any country inn & suite

Unkept room and general appearance.
We were disappointed with a few general things such as poor craftsmanship by whomever did the renovations. We didn't think the room was ready for guests. However, the staff was very friendly and accommodating.

Staff was great, but A/C unit was noisy and rattled all night. Headboard on one of the beds was ‘sticky’ with something that couldn’t be wiped off. Location to airport was fantastic.

The front desk staff were very friendly and polite and also helpful. On the phone and in person. There is remodeling happening so it’s understandable that there is some mess going on and that wasn’t bad. The room however was dirty and had a bad smell. House keeping never came in during our stay even after we requested they go in. The coffee station had left overs from the guests before us. We had to go to the desk to get coffee each morning and clean towels. Again the front desk staff was very helpful in that, but for some reason even they could not get the housekeeping staff to go in and clean the room apparently. That was very disappointing.

If you have kids never even think of staying here.
Te entire hotel had a horrible smell of marihuana, from the parking lot to my room, I had to ask to be changed beacuse the smell of weed was even inside my room, saw people making joints in the parking area, the room wasn't clean, the people at the front desk where helpful but the hotel was horrible. There where other strange situation in the hotel.

Country inn and suites is being renovated at this time. Please be patient with them. At night there were a group of people running around and drinking beer around the front entrance. If you do not mind this kind of behavior then this hotel should not bother you. Over all i can not complain.

Buggy!
Staff was super friendly. Room was roach infested. Stains everywhere from the bed sheets to the curtains. Was given another room immediately. I wasn’t greeted by roaches in the new room but it smelled like a deodorant protest was held there! Beds were sooo lumpy and again more stains then I could count.

The room was so-so, there was musty smell to it and the beds were not overly comfortable. The pool was a little on the small side but my kids liked it and it was an indoor pool, which was a plus. The staff was very friendly. Overall it was ok but I'll probably look for somewhere else to stay next time I book a hotel in columbia. Im suprised it had an 8.2 rating on this site, I've stayed at much nicer hotels that had lower ratings.

Started out rough but became a very peaceful stay. We enjoyed the new area and environment, as well as being able to support my husband in graduating from basic training. Definitely a calm place to stay to take a load off!

Just a place to sleep
The comforters where old and it looked like bed had been slept in. The shower curtain in bathroom was also worn. Updates need to be maid on the establishment. Only one waffle iron at breakfast very slow but breakfast area was clean.

First, Let me say that the PEOPLE at this hotel were VERY kind and did an awesome job! They were great!
We went knowing the pool was small and that was good enough for my 2 girls, but it could crowd easily.
During our stay, the lobby was 80 degrees at all times. Our room seemed okay at first, but overnight and through the next day, the humidity rose so much that all of our linens and clothes were wet feeling. We changed rooms and that solved the issue mostly, but the new room did have a bit of a smell to it ( I think it was the AC unit). The mirror in the bathroom had a large crack all the way across that was taped together and the floors throughout weren't as clean as I'd prefer. I heard a few other people complaining about cleanliness while we were there too.
Altogether, it has the makings of a good hotel, it just needs more TLC than the current operators are probably willing to throw at it. I don't regret my stay, but probably won't go back.
To sum it up, the people were excellent, the facilities were "Meh".

On first look the property seemed nice but once in the room there were stains on the carpet, beds were barely made and wrinkled like someone had laid on them, when you plugged things into outlets the plugs would just fall out etc.

Worst hotel experience I've ever had
We stayed one night and got lots of bed bugs, the bed was uncomfortable and it was so hot and humid inside. They had the thermostat set to 80 in the hotel and the room was no better, so much so that if we wasn't dead tired from our trip we wouldn't have been able to fall asleep. It took all night before the A/C was able to get the room to a comfortable temperature.

Great value for the money.
This hotel is a great value for the money. They are in the process of updating and remodeling. But the rooms are very clean and comfortable. It will be really nice when all the renovations are complete. The staff is exceptionally friendly. Would highly recommend staying here.

I was in town on business. I had originally booked for 2 night but needed a 3er night and the manager was able to add an extra night. I also had a very early flight and needed transportation earlier than the shuttle start time and the manager also accommodated that as well.

Room had some type of ash or soot on the floor near the window. The grout in the bathroom was missing in several places. At 1230am someone was knocking on our door, and standing to the side of the peep hole so we could not get a good view of them. It felt a bit sketchy.

I felt that the staff wasn't very friendly and we found 2 roaches in our room. One big one on the wall by the TV and another on the bathroom counter. I have stayed at a lot of hotels and never have I seen a roach before. I am grossed out.

We had two rooms. 207 was great. Clean and a great bed.
215 should not have been available. The King bed was comfortable.
215 had terrible stains on the carpet and on the sofa-bed.
The sink was nearly completely blocked and the facet in the tub dripped.
It was missing one remote. The TV in the bedroom was useless.

Carpet and chair/ottoman in the room were stained and filthy. We booked our stay because we had a 6AM flight only to find their first shuttle runs at 5AM. Not enough time to check bags and go through TSA. So we had to drive up, leave our own car at the airport and have friends pick it up. We will not stay here again.
