This location was absolutely perfect for a short downtown trip. Walk to shopping and restaurants. Easy Uber ride to museums. Would definitely stay again.

Uncomfortable bed
Not full, opened bottles of water in fridge. Housekeeping hard a very difficult time understanding English when simple requests were made, i.e. additional clothing hangers. Bed was very hard and not comfortable. Room temperature stayed exactly the same (too warm) after trying to lower the temperature on the wall panel (auto and fan mode were both tried). AC hotel beds are normally are favorite choice when choosing a hotel. The location was great.

Overall a pretty good hotel. I have stayed here before and would have rated it 5 stars then, but this time it just seemed not as good.
The gentleman working the desk at night was not very hospitable or helpful when I checked in. Some kind of greeting would be nice instead of a blank stare. The tv didn’t really work and the bed was a lot more firm that I recalled last time I stayed here as well.
The best parts are the shower and the convenient parking and location.

Some of the rooms require a long walk. The “European style” rooms are stark, hard edged, and night stands are tiny. At least there were plenty of outlets.

The hotel is in the perfect spot to walk Chicago. Parking is connected to the hotel, and you can walk right from parking spot into hotel on 4th floor. Our only problems were the chair in the room was a swivel chair that was broken and unusable. The hallways were not vacuumed from Thur to Sunday. It was one of the few hotels since covid that cleans your room without requesting it.

It was cracks in the sink, the shower water made my skin dry. A lot of discrepancies were covered up instead of fixed properly.

Being right off of Michigan Ave was why I picked the hotel and because of the pricing. Was not a fan of the room right next to me with yelling and screaming coming from it at midnight.

I like the AC Hotel brand, having previously stayed at one in Portland, OR. I like the hard wood floors in the room.
This hotel had complimentary coffee and tea in the mornings on the 4th floor. There's a nice pool which I didn't get to use. It's close to the Mag Mile and a Garrett Popcorn store! There are also lots of dining options nearby. I wish there was a closer metro station though.

Great hotel with great staff. Chatted with Patrick in the lounge and he is one of the best humans on the planet. The hotel was clean & quiet and located near a whole lot of restaurants. The only thing that seemed weird was there was no dresser for our clothes. But that was a small item at this great hotel.

First of all. The staff at the front desk was extremely nice. Shout out to Emily, who made my check in super smooth and even went out of her way to explain to be how to used public transportation and gave me restaurant recommendations. The room smelled incredible when we went in and it was una pristine condition. The pool area was pretty nice with a patio next to it. Perfect for a summer day. It was my first time in Chicago and i for you will be staying there, next time I go back.

it was right in the middle of everything! in the walking distance of all of the right food places and shopping. we had a concert and we were only a 4 minute to the walk for a pretty short train ride, which was so convenient! would stay here again, loved it so much

Disappointed by quality of room.
Not sure how how Hotel.com has it as a 4 star property - would struggle to give it a 2- star. Rooms were very basic, beds and pillows were hard and difficult to have a good night sleep. Ventilation in the room specially the bathroom was poor and top of that the AC guaranteed to keep you awake with the loud and weird noises. The only redeeming feature was that the location was awesome. Surprised that it was Marriot hotel.

The staff was so pushy and not understanding situations AC didnt work in the room when we got there and i was charged a unauthorized transaction for $26 from my debit card for a purchase i never made also i never got my $50 dollar deposit back after we left they charged us for internet that we never used and also for parking which i didnt know wasnt included with the hotel booking and $58 dollars for one night is ridiculous never booking this place again !!

Nothing remarkable, but would return.
Great location. “European-inspired” continental breakfast buffet for $18 overpriced, considering the other options in the area. Probably intended for the business traveler, not the tourist. Love the rainfall shower and hand-held wand. Soft-close toilet seat is a winner. Bathroom door doesn’t lock, but is a pane of frosted glass. . Limited drawer space for clothes.

We had a very spacious corner room that was newly renovated! We loved the vinyl plank flooring & the rain head tiled shower. Everything in our room was clean and comfortable. We loved the safe & convenient location. We will stay here next time we are in Chicago!

Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The room was beautiful, clean and quiet. I liked that it required key access in the elevator to prevent unnecessary noise on the floor. The lounge is very inviting and I could spend hours floating in that perfect temperature pool staring out the glass ceiling at the buildings. I would have loved to stayed another night. I didnt use the gym, but that had more options than I expected. I would recomend and return.

AC broke in the middle of the night. For a 4 star hotel, it has a window AC enclosed by a movable wood fence type of thing and the AC decided to stop working. The technician did come pretty quickly and fixed the issue. There is an AC control pad that is not on so I assume there was central air that might be broken too? The bed sheet seemed ha的been washed but there were visible stains on it. House keeping did bring new sheets, only I had one king bed and they brought two sheets for double beds. The lady worked in the front was lovely, and very helpful. Unfortunately I didn’t write down her name.

Parking prices is horrendous. The AC unit in the room was extremely loud which made it impossible to get a good nights rest. I will say the view from the bar area is great but that would be the highlight. I tried working out at the fitness facility which was bare minimum and intolerable due to the overbearing fumes of chlorine coming from the pool

2 star hotel in a 5 star location. The location is wonderful, and the staff were friendly.
Facility itself is adequate, but several issues need remedied. Shower head wouldn’t change between modes. Door handle leading to bathroom broken. Toilets clogged repeatedly even with very minimal paper in them. Two bath towels left in the room, when reservation was for 3 kids and 2 adults. Molding falling off wall near couch. Floor surface around the pool incredibly slippery even when walking very slowly. Pool towels were constantly empty.
Point in listing all these isn’t to beat the hotel up, rather to drive home the concept that it isn’t one thing or two that drives my rating down. Rather it is a thorough disregard to maintenance and upkeep that reflects very poorly on a usually-reliable hotel brand.
We will look elsewhere when returning to the area, which is too bad because the location truly is great. This hotel could easily be so much better.

I thoroughly enjoyed staying at this hotel! The staff was friendly & helpful, parking was easy, & lots of restaurants were in walking distance. We walked to the Chicago bean in the morning, got coffee along the way, and shopped. The room was very clean and we all slept well as the hotel was quiet & air-conditioned. Great experience & would stay again!

Chicago Business Trip
This was a 4 night business trip to Chicago. The hotel was nice and clean. The front desk staff was friendly, the room was clean and spacious. However, the bed is a little to firm and the 4 large pillows on the bed are all lumpy and lacked support. I ended up sleeping terrible and woke up many times each night.

Really nice hotel downtown to everything. Hotel made you feel safe. Receptionist do need to slow down speaking to customers so that they could understand the direction of what needed to be done to just even to get the elevators to move. When we found out again what to do I just thought it was the safest thing to have in a hotel. My family and I spent two nice there and planning on going back! This was a very nice stay. Clean, felt safe, and down town to everything!

Rooms appears to be very recently renovated, clean, very roomy. Staff are very nice.
Caution if your room faces the street though, it is VERY noisy at night because of random cars racing down Michigan late at night (on weekend, we can hear very loud noises until 3am in the morning).
