I did not get a chance to stay here as my reservation was canceled , the lobby was closed ,no one was there to speak with me left out in the cold with four young children try to find another room on a holiday weekend which took hours to find another one as hotels.com would not help locate another one.

The hallway smelled like weed and I had a headache. The people upstairs had children the were jumping. The people in the next room were loud until 4 in the morning and I could not sleep. Checked out at 6 am and complained to the front desk. I will not stay here again.

Awesome Friendly and quiet
Beds were comfortable and while you can see some use in the appliances and tub they were clean and the room is spacious i would definitely stay again the front desk clerks were so sweet and friendly i really enjoyed my first night so we stayed a 2nd night come visit they're great here

Most hotels in the area are good and have good stuff, but this one is probably the worst. After time consuming check in, we entered the room where found dead ants in the bed. While in the kitchen area, I saw a cockroach scatter from the microwave. The bathroom was cramped. When checking for more possible bugs, can tell the place was not dusted in awhile.

Lobby smelled of sewage, lobby elevator was severely damaged interior, dogs barking on all floors, security checkin was strenuous, many families congregating in the hallways, lights in room flickered, ceiling above shower leaked spectacularly, thought there were 2 showerheads, volume was loud,
Rooms were not clean, used towels in the bathrooms, and smelled strongly of aerosol spray.

Skip This Hotel
This hotel is a bit off the interstate, but not to far. The staff (concierge) was kind, courteous and helpful. She is the only reason this review is not completely unfavorable. An id had to be left in order to use the luggage trolley. We booked a very large suite with two bed rooms, and a full kitchen, but there were no utensils, pots, pans or coffee pot in the room. All of these had to be requested and an id left with the desk. Then we would have had to cart them to our room and back. It was far to inconvenient and we couldn’t even eat our restaurant leftovers or make coffee, not that was complimentary coffee in the room.There were dirty towels hanging in our bathroom and the beds we hard and lumpy. The floors were filthy leaving our feet black.
To top it off these was no hot breakfast. The only offerings were stale muffins, cereal bars and Luke warm, weak coffee. So, we had the added expense of another meal. We paid a premium price and all we received was a large, dirty room devoid of necessities. We will not book here again.

Buyer Beware
This location looks pretty nice from the outside. But that is as far as I got with my "stay" at Extend Stay. Be careful about booking this location through a third party. They may take your money and leave you high and dry, as they did with me.
I had to make a last-minute change from a HORRIBLE hotel across town. No problem, I logged in to my app and found that there was a vacancy at Extended Stay. When I showed up, the doors were locked to the lobby. No worries, it was late when I switched hotels. I called using the hotel-provided phone outside the lobby door. An employee came out the door with his tablet and started to check me in. Instead of smooth, that transaction was miserable. I was told that my reservation did not come through in their system and that there were no vacancies even if I had booked it through Hotels.com. After 15 minutes of trying to get into my room and double checking the system, I ended up having to book another room at another hotel (The third time's the charm - the Residence Inn was an amazing stay with absolutely no problems, FWIW)
When I tried to get my money back they called me a no-show to Hotels.com. I received no refund. I ended up paying for three rooms from three different hotels in Columbia, but only got to use one room.
I am sure that this is a good hotel with good staff, but my experience was absolutely rotten, on top of an earlier rotten experience across town.

Staff was very friendly and helpful but properly needs to be updated. Properly is very dark and "smells". I expected at least a coffee maker in an extended stay. There was no coffee maker or dishes, utensils,etc. Properly seems to cater to month to month rentals where people bring their own supplies and "move in" rather than to travelers.

This property is way overpriced and needs a major facelift.....U couldn't get clean towels until they did laundry then u picked them up at the desk with your room number on a garbage bag at the end of the day, also breakfast was ridiculous a granola bar and coffee nothing else and if u were past 9am u didn't get anything!! There were many cracks in the walls, alot of rust in the bathtub drains just very trashy over all!!!!!

THE ROOM WAS VERY CLEAN AND WELL MAINTAINED. THE LAYOUT OF THE ROOM WAS GREAT AS WELL AND I ENJOYED MY TIME IN THE POOL.

Not a spoon or a pan. Nothing to wipe my hands and no dish soap. Bathroom faucet was broken and there was a huge crack on the wall in the shower. Floor was dirty and lifting. Microwave was taken off the wall.

Very good hotel
Check-in was good, friendly staff. Room was like an apartment, plenty of space and had everything you need. My daughter slept on the king bed, I took the sofa couch and we had a great nights sleep. It was clean, quiet, smelled good. Wouldn’t hesitate to book again!

Weekend Trip
The hotel was clean and the service was very good. The breakfast is quite limited but what was there was good. The front door, pool, and a couple of doors did not work. The area had so many places for us to go to that we had a great time. The pool was fixed on our last day. We really enjoyed playing there. It was clean and a good size. The staff was very helpful and pleasant.

No one was at the desk when we attempted to check in, no bell or number. Had to find the hotel number to call and get someone. Outlets were in poor condition, bathroom door was difficult to close. The hotel smelled. Only good if you’re looking for a bed, which was comfortable

Greeting at hotel was lovely, the front desk receptionist was very nice. The hotel had an odd smell and in the room, it was sparcely furnished in the living area. The building is old and it showed.

The good: it's close to places to eat and shop.
The bad: the pet fees are exorbitant. $25 per dog per night but the hotel doesn't really provide any value for that charge - the pet waste station is instead used as a trash area and isn't restocked with waste bags, and the ground is littered with cigarette butts and liquor bottles. So many services are "out of order" - vending machines, washing machines, elevators.
The ugly: no security. Besides the elevators and vending machines and laundry services being out of order, the exterior entrances "require" your room key to enter but they're all broken. Anyone can just walk in any entrance and nothing will stop them. Also, people *live* here and it's pretty gross.
Overall, you get what you pay for...unless you have pets.

This place is ok... The rooms are nice a spacious but definatly bare minimum as far ammenities (bar of soap & shampoo). Had a nice lanolium floor but when I wiped up some water my dog spilled I realized how dirty it was. Not hard to mop a floor inbetween guest. "Grab and go" breakfast is a joke and coffee was so weak. Bed was descent and clean. Furntiure needs undating lots of dings and chips. Hallway was so stinky not sure if someone was cooking or garbage.

Tried to check in but the hotel advised me there was no rooms available. Desk clerk was rude. There’s isn’t any convenient parking for check in
I stayed at this hotel the previous night and there wasn’t any coffee maker in the room, no cups or silverware.

This property was close to where I work at and has great restaurants nearby. The facilities were clean and quiet. The front desk staff was very welcoming and friendly. I would stay there again.

Convenience of location was a plus . Check in was a nightmare. It started with a phone call just hours before we were to arrive from either the hotel manager or the daytime front desk agent … (still not sure ) informing us that the suite we reserved 6 days before would not be ready and that they could split it into two rooms for the same price. Fine . Not what I wanted but what are we gonna do? Main objective was getting into town with just enough time to throw things in the room , freshen up , and leave to grab a quick bite before getting to a concert at 7pm downtown Columbia. We get there a few hours later and had plenty of time to do all that since it was only 5:30. That quickly changed.
We walk in and are waiting behind two other couples that were already waiting excruciatingly long including a couple that did not even have a reservation. Once I finally made it to the desk it was chaos since the person I talked to earlier had not shared any of the changes she had made with the evening agent so the original room ( the one not available remember ?) was the only one showing up. Nothing showing up for the two rooms I was now supposed to have. I will be blunt with another issue … There was me at the desk and another older white lady,…. By this time it is already almost 6pm! No extra help called for. Two other black couples walked and immediately help was called for and she even tried to bypass helping the white lady who was next. Reverse racism at its best.

When I arrived the system was down and there was a note at check-in for me saying that they overbooked the room that I booked but they gave me two rooms beside each other and I only had to pay for one I had to wait awhile to check in because the system was down but the check-in clerk was very friendly while I wait

rooms were a nice layout, but had a funky smell
Women staff were very helpful and nice, the one man couldnt be bothered. He let us stand there for 20 mins while he smoked and played on his phone outside. Then outside again when checking out, felt like we were putting him out to check us out and get receipts. He would be the reason for not going back.

Like: convenient location to Interstate, restaurants and shopping. Size and room set-up.
Dislike: Rooms facing Lake Murray Blvd. are very noisy from loud cars and trucks. Breakfast items were all carb. based.

There were some weird noises at night, also no dishes and no coffee pot in the room unless you ask for all this at the desk. The staff was nice. Cracker Barrell is across the parking lot so that was a plus.

All the staff we came across was very helpful and friendly. It was very appreciated to have people who were kind and generous with their time. The facility needs a little update (the bathrooms and toilets specifically), but they keep it clean so that helps. I wish the breakfast included something other than granola bars and muffins, and maybe had options for bagels and fresh fruit. Although, given all the covid restrictions, I feel like your hands might be tied a little in that area. Lastly, and this is a personal preference more than anything, move the cigarette catcher away from the doors-specifically the side entrances. Its a little off-putting to walk up to the door to the hotel and smell nothing but stale cigarettes.

The hotel website states there is breakfast, but coffee, oatmeal, granola bars & muffins is not breakfast. There were bugs in my room & when i told staff the answer was "you're not going to find a place that doesn't have them". Not enough towels in the room & when asked for more, we couldnt have them. Theres bo ice machine but the front desk has small bags of them but those are rationed also. Wont stay here again ever & i should get my money back.

The room was dark, drab, and filthy. I had to clean the TVs myself to see through the dirty rag marks. The tubs were gross. The kitchen didn’t have one thing in it, not a coffee maker or a utensil. Breakfast consisted of coffee and hot chocolate on a stand across from the front desk. The only redeeming thing about the hotel was the staff was friendly.

Never ever again
I don't remember another hotel that I wanted to get out of as quickly as this one. Beyond disgusting. We stopped by in the middle of our road trip with 4 kiddos to rest before hitting the road again and we were beyond disgusted and disappointed. Only reason we stayed was bc it was not refundable. My husband had to wait 30 mins for them to check him in and give him a keycard bc the computer crashed. The lobby stunk like cigarettes even though it says non smoking. When we entered our room, a stench hit us like body odor mixed with spice. It was not pleasant. We slept with our windows open just to air it out. The carpets are dark but even so my 2 year old told me "look mom a bug" and of course a cockroach goes running under the tv stand. The computer chairs had disgusting whitish stains all over them, no idea wth it is. Everything is old and musty. I even skipped showering bc I was not about to step foot in that shower. In the middle of the night couple ppl kept running up and down the hall and someone banged on our day. This is the worst experience we've ever had. Nothing is updated since the 50s. Never ever again.

Room had poop on floor, had to ask TWICE for them to clean it because another room wasn’t available. Took 1 hour and we still cleaned it off of floor... Could not sleep for noisy people and they would not quiet them down. Either night we stayed, got little to no sleep. There were also hookers outside packing bowls of marijuana which other than them slamming doors going in and out all night long didn’t bother me

“Awesome Experience”
Our stay is ongoing; and this part of our reservation booked through you’ll, was amazing. Very courteous staff, property is dog-friendly. Our family doesn’t have pets; but we were blessed to link up with a great family there with two. Very nice experience. Include this location, in your planned travels!!!

Room was filthy. Hardened nail polish on counters, lights not working, sink drains not working, sticky door knobs, sticky table tops, chairs with something on them, soap so old it wouldn’t lather (didn’t even know that was possible), room smelled. Floor would shake when people walked down hall. Tv remotes did not work in bedroom.

While the rooms are very spacious they were somewhat shoddy. Biggest complaint was there was NO breakfast! They said this was due to COVID but it was not made clear on the website or when we checked in. Wasn’t until the morning that we found this out.

There was no breakfast encluded like in the description online. The lights in one of the rooms did not work. There was a red stain on the carpet and in the tub. The room smelled like smoke.

The room was very nice. Everything was clean very well. All was good until the day we were packing to leave and very huge cockroach came from out of the bed that my grandkids had been sleeping in. It scared me. Also, I don't think people should smoke so close to the doors. When we walk out the door and have to past 2 or 3 smoking right at the door, we all know that we're going to come in contact with the smoke. Other than that my stay was pleasant.

The room had some issues, only 2 chairs for the table. Phone didn't work, cockroaches running around. No light above the table, ac units made funny noises, mildew or something on shower curtain.

This was a horrible stay. The cleanliness was not up to par. And at 10am after eating breakfast nearby, we came back to find the maid already cleaning our room. An hour before check out? With my belongings all over the room. It was not a pleasant morning at all. It seems they like to do things quick and easy paying little mind to the guests.

Bad night
Worse stay ever. Didn't have tv for 4 hours because of the rain. After rain, there still was no service. After cable came back on, finally went to sleep. Woke up tp a fire alarm at 3am. had to stand outside in rain for an hour. Worst night ever.

Disappointed!
So disappointed! We were not told that the pool would be closed or that breakfast had been discontinued. Those are 2 key points that I searched for when booking and this hotel popped up. Yet we were not told till after we checked in and asked where those items would be that we were told we couldn't. I have young kids and their disappointment was sooo sad!! We were also asked to be quiet in our room when our kids were already in bed and my husband was the only one up. He was just walking! There must be VERY thin walls.

This hotel has been the best place ive stayed in awhile. Due to the virus ive been out of a home due to elder family health concerns. The staff mrs. Laurie has been excellent. Service and needs is met when needed.

For reserving a room for the night. I paid extra for having 6 people in one room and there wasn’t enough towels or soaps. Then the morning after the continental breakfast wasn’t there when I went, and the front desk person wasn’t anywhere to be found. It was only one night than God. I probably wouldn’t stay there again.

The room was nice but it had a funny smell. I was disappointed that they did not have all the supplies for the kitchen that were advertised, i had to go and ask. I did not sleep well because i was either below the laundry area or the hallway all i heard was what sounded like stomping most of the night on rm 109. And i asked to be on a higher level just to stay away from that very problem and i was put on the bottom floor. I made it work, but i don't think i will stay there again. Thanks

Supposed to be non-smoking, but first room smelled like smoke. Second room door jam in disrepair and door was unable to lock properly and toilet did not flush properly. Overall room was very outdated with cabinets and furniture needing replacement.

Difficulty breathing
My family and myself all found our accommodations to cause us allergies, headaches and difficulty breathing. We had to keep the windows open the entire stay, my dog had difficulties breathing so we had to reject some of our plans to accommodate for her to go with us.. The facility was ok, nothing remarkable but I definitely would not go back.. I wonder if mold is the cause?

It was pretty much what you'd expect for a low price deal 3.3 rated hotel and our family of 5 was only there one night/out early next moring while passing through town. Check-in was smooth wit friendly staff and our room was decent (3 double beds), but a few things weren't so good like the sink & the toilet were super slow to drain/backed up a bit, the TV reception was bad on most channels, and we encountered 3 small black bugs during the stay. It was late when we got back after dinner so we were way too tired to bother with telling the front desk person to come fix stuff or change rooms.

Thin walls
Outside of the heavy footsteps until 4:00am from the room above and the barking dog for hours on end, the stay went great.
