It was full of roaches everywhere in the room, and it was supposedly a no smoking room but it reeked of cigarettes, the bathtub was dirty and has dead roaches.

Horrible Service
Was unable to get ahold of anyone for a late check in and no one upon arrival so was then considered a no show and not allowed to check in the following morning even tho everything was paid for in advance.

Don’t stay here
This place is terrible, especially for the price (ie it’s not priced as a clear “budget” option). There are roaches in the rooms, both alive and dead. The appliances are old and stained, and despite it being an extended stay, you have to request kitchen tools (ie dishes and utensils) to equip the kitchenette. And plot twist - I stayed there for 5 days and every morning when I called, the staff stated that no kitchen tools/packages available. The furniture was visibly damaged (ie stained and/ripped). I asked for house keeping and this was NOT provided (apparently you can only get a room cleaning if you stay here >1 week, which was not apparent prior to booking this hotel). Lastly, there are safety concerns. I wanted to use the workout room on my first morning there and there was an unhoused man sleeping in there, much to my surprise. Again. Do NOT stay here.

The property was pretty run down. As I was checking in another guest dropped his bathroom door in the lobby and said it fell off. I had a smoke-free room but when I got to my room it smelled strongly of smoke and had what looked like multiple cigarette burns. I asked for a different room and I was told they would look and get back to me. Never heard back.

The location is excellent. The outside looks good. But don’t be deceived. The inside is dirty, outdated and the amenities non-existent. There was never a “ breakfast” of any sort offered. The coffee service consisted of packs of tasters choice and hot water. No hair dryer. No ice. No water unless you want to pay 2.50 for a very small bottle. There is a notice you can ask for a coffee maker, plates etc but they didn’t actually have any. Basically a very expensive beat up room the size of a closet for an exorbitant price.

First room smelled like an ashtray even though it was marked no smoking. Went back to lobby and the police were there to arrest a person that was apparently trying to open up room doors. Next room was better but used towels were hanging on the back of bathroom door and counters had debris. Thankfully I only needed to stay one night but definitely felt uneasy and didn’t sleep well.

I don't blame the property for being what it is. It seemed like it was a bit of a halfway house more then an actual quality place to stay. I blame Orbitz for recommending this place. My room smelled like smoke and literally had cigarette burns on the blankets. Seemed like a place for people to stay who might be down on their luck.

Television does not work and after I reported it to front desk. I was ignored. WiFi did not work. Reserved the room for two nights but we just couldn’t stay there for second night. Too many homeless staying at the hotel.

We made a mistake on the date and booked it a day early(after check-in window) so when we arrived on correct day they wouldnt honor reservation. Front desk clerk was extremely rude. Than gabe us a room with a shower that didnt work a bathroom door that wouldnt close all the way and broken drawers in the furniture. My Niece was traveling alone for the first time to see her Mom in the hospital so this was a horrible experience for her.

No "grab n go breakfast" as advertised, coffee only. No ada grab bars in tub/shower. Wife has mobility/balance issues, made showering unsafe. Traveled with another couple, but our rooms weren't close together, in fact we weren't even on same floor. Ridiculous spray aereator on bathroom sink faucet. A bit noisy from barking dogs and roaches were crawling around kitchen counters.

I had to make a last minute change to this hotel because my original hotel had a water pipe break and they couldn’t guests. The employees were fine but did not seem very friendly, inconvenienced maybe by me for checking in and out. It has a really musky smell and appears outdated and old. There was a cockroach on the wall when I came to the room. There were hairs in the shower and garbage under the bed.

In all my years of business travel, this was without a doubt the worst property I have ever stayed at. Nevermind the fact that people wandered the halls all night long making noise that made sleep impossible, the fact that the bathroom was roach infested was absolutely inexcusable. Last time I will stay here, even though very convenient to my office.

Property is located in a bad neighborhood. Immediately noticed how unkempt the property was. The woman at the front desk was also unkempt and rude. Her unwashed / dirty shirt should have been the last straw but it was late and needed to get some sleep. The room was filthy, reeked of marijuana and cigarette smoke and had ROACHES! The furniture in the living roon was so flithy I didn't sit in them. It was ridiculously filthy. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!

A run-down property that has seen better days
I stayed here once several years ago, then again just recently. Unfortunately this hotel has really gone downhill in that time. The first room I got was dirty and the bed was not even made up at all. Staff gave me another room but that was not much better. Furniture is old and beat up, the rooms shake and creak when upstairs guests are walking around. The whole property gives the impression of extreme neglect.

Cleaner Prisons in 3rd world Nations
I have been coming to Phoenix for years to attend
an annual event and I've always stayed here. I will never let that happen again. The rooms were dirty and we had cockroaches in the room. There wasn't even a shower curtain and when we asked for one they told us that they were out of them and we wouldn't have one until what was the last day of our stay. Also you can only get room service to the room if you're staying 5 days or more. The microwave that was there was also disgusting. We found pubic hair in a bed and on the covers. At least it was very close to a public Hospital.

Overall comfy
The drain in the shower seemed a bit clogged. I found change on the floor so I figure the floor wasn't cleaned. The TV said no signal. Otherwise it was comfy and the price was right.

Absolutely horrible stay!
Most of the lights did not work. Hallway was disgusting and smelled awful! Once we got a light to worK there were small black beetle bugs everywhere. The couch had white stains all over it the walls had smears of something down them! We were so exhausted after spending the day at the hospital we checked the beds for bugs and tried to sleep. The bathtub had bugs in it! There was 1 trash can in the whole room. The air conditioner made awful noise. And when we checked out I tried to talk to the staff about the issues I was ignored for minutes and then told I will tell them about your issues.

The staff was friendly. Thy son had a good layout, but was very outdated and in need of repair. My bed was broken and tilted to one side and sank inn on the she side. The tub was also not clean. I could've bring myself to use it.
I did like the workspace that doubled as a dinning area.

Not what was advertised.
Hotel front desk workers lack customer service hospitality. Did not make eye contact with us or speak more then 3 words to me during check in. And when we checked out. Asked feont deak for clean linen for couch bed was givin a sheet. Waited about 10 min and the guy came back and ask why i was still waiting so i asked for a blanket he was more worried about his motorcyle then making sure we got the linen we asked for.. theyre was dirty linen in a draw bybthe bathroom and hair in the tub. The couch bed mattress was stained and looked as if someone urinated all over it.the free breakfast was a coffee station with mini muffins. Will not stay in that facility again.

No ice machine or ice in a hotel in Phoenix Az!!! That's the best of the worst. Our non-smoking room reeked of tobacco. The white blanket on the bed had cigarette burn holes in it. The black oily handprints on the doors were a nice touch. The used soap on the sink and the built-up soap scum in the shower were special. Garbage in the garbage can. The front desk couldn't tell us of one restaurant in the area (quite a few we found less than 1/4-mile walking distance). But the best thing-the bugs scurrying away over the bed when we came back after dinner and turned on the lights. We slept on the bed in our clothes. Apparently, the desk clerk is used to complaints or didn't want to hear any as at check-out she didn't even ask how things were. We wouldn't recommend this place to people we dislike.

This hotel is terrible. I had to checkout the same day I checked in because I could not stay the night because the rooms were filthy. The shower is not clean and has black stains all over, and the walls are stained. The hotel hallways are dirty, and the exterior of the building is not well maintained. I did not feel safe staying here. I lost my money because they would not give me a refund. This place is not a good hotel in Phoenix midtown. PLEASE GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. The condition of everything is HORRENDOUS. The pictures on Expedia do not resemble what you see in real life. I am appalled that this time of hotel can be in this type of condition.

The lobby looked nice. The receptionist had no personality upon check in. Looked like she didn’t want to be there. The hallways smelled like marijuana. The room layout was nice since it was a suite. The carpet had stains. The sink was stained. The tub had chips in it. Rooms was nice and cool. Room was also quite.

I had booked this room because it was close to the hospital and I was having surgery. My mother-in-law checked in for me while I was in surgery. She said the room smelled and was so unclean. She didn’t feel like it was a safe environment for me to come home to after my surgery. We didn’t even stay and left that afternoon

We were looking for place to stay while we had family in the nearby hospital. This place was terrible - the first room we had had bugs on the floor - and the whole floor was sticky. Run down room - dirty walls, peeling and super stained bathtub, etc. We asked for a different room and was given one that has the same problems - but the carpets had just been cleaned - and they were WET and it smelled so bad. We took the previous room, would NEVER stay here again.

I was very disappointed with this stay. The room was so dirty. The carpet was soiled and had not been vacuumed. The floor was not vacuumed with crumbs and food. The dishwasher was broken, old canned food in cupboards. One single dish towel was dirty. The phone didn't even work. A roach crawled out of the dishwasher when we came in and put our food on the counter. The smoke alarm was hanging by wires out of the wall. Mold in the shower gross stuff clogg the drain. It smelled like vomit in the room. Our puppy was not allowed out of his kennel because floors were so disgusting. The ironing board cloth was grossly stained. Gross spots smeared on wall. Didn't know if it was buggers or bugs. We stayed because we had driven 10 hours and got in at 11pm and didn't know the condition of the room until 2 hours later after going out to get food. My kids were so grossed out at the condition of the room when we got in it. We were too tired to look for another place to stay. I heard my son telling his friend it was worse than camping. I told them if they showered to keep their shoes on. They chose not to shower. We kept gagging. We used the complimentary plastic cups to use to turn on water. There was urine stains in front of the toilet and fan cover was missing exposing hole in the roof. Would not recommend this room to anyone looking for a safe clean place to stay. My son passed 2 shirtless young men in the hallway with a gun in hand. Not making any of this up for a free room. $167 night

The front desk attendant was rude. Keys didn't work. Waited an hour at the lobby because she stated they were short staffed and she was cleared rooms. Lobby had 6 people waiting with the same issue. You would think people not being able to enter their rooms would have been her priority. She came down angry. Like we were an inconvenience.

No pillow or sheets for couch bed, was told they didn’t have any. Could not change the temperature of air, had to unplug the unit. When my husband came to the bed he found his side of the bed wet. Desk person laughed and said “ did you piss off your wife! He had to sleep in car!.

Overall this was one of the worst hotels we have stayed at. It started with photos online did not match at all what the property looked like. The staff we encountered was extremely rude. The bathroom was falling apart including water spraying out of the wall. Paid for a sleeper and received only a chair. Was given a coffee pot when we requested but no coffee or coffee cups. Overall bad experience.

Bed bugs
BED BUGS!!!! DIRTY HOTEL!!!! I was very quiet at front desk about the bed bugs, asked for garbage bags to place luggage in and was told the manager would contact me. I finally had to call the main number and within an hour or so I received an email saying an inspector had come out and nothing was found. I find this hard to believe when clearly the bed hsd live bugs.

Disappointed & Angry
My family and I arrived at this hotel and they refused to give us our room because I didn’t have my ID. I lost my ID but had a paper copy. My husband provided his ID but because the reservation was in my name they didn’t allow it. The staff member was very rude and did not even look me in the eye. She was disrespectful and dismissive of my family and I. When I reached out to Hotels.com to try and get my refund the hotel stated I was a ‘no show’ and refused to refund my money.

Bad Customer Service and Room Maintenance
We had a 5 night stay. On the 4th day we woke up to a broken AC unit and it blowing hot air. The Front Desk fix was to move us to another room on a different floor, of course there was no luggage cart available, and I had to make 5-6 trips up and down to move all of our stuff plus the kitchen pack to the new room. Then after we got into the new room the AC unit was not working very well either, blowing cooler air but not Phoenix cool enough air. So they said they'd send the maintenance man up to look at it but we waiting an hour and a half and I had to call a second time before he finally showed up. He looked at it and pushed a button or two and then said he had to go get a new AC unit but then left and wet home for the day. Then when I called the Front Desk again they said they had to move us to a third room so I had to move everything again, all by myself, to the third room. I asked to be compensated for the excessive inconvenience and was told because we were able to be moved to another room I would not receive any compensation. So I called the 1-800 reservation Guest Relations to voice my anger and compensation request. The first time I was hung up on and the second time I was able to speak to someone who took my complaint ticket to submit to management and never heard anything back from them. It's been three days now and no call back. The customer service was extremely poor and totally unacceptable.

Check in was great. When my daughter took a shower she noticed that one of the towels had black workboot prints all over it. About midnight, as we were trying to sleep, the smoke detector started beeping for low battery. Once I fully woke up from it, I tried calling the front desk. I called probably 20 times with no answer. I then got dressed and headed down to the front desk only to find vomit in the hallway and all over one side of the inside of the elevator. Alandra, the front desk person overnight, said the phone never rang. When I explained the smoke detector, I was told to DISCONNECT the smoke detector in the room. I made sure this was noted in the computer so that I was not charged for this. She did clean the elevator, but the vomit remained in the hallway until the morning shift arrived. I shared all of this information with the manager in the morning and was told she was going to contact Expedia to make it right. I truly do not feel I should be charged for a night of filthy conditions and unsafe room. We had no choice but to stay as I was checking my daughter in to Phoenix Children’s hospital this morning for a week of neurological testing. Sleep would have been highly beneficial last night. I will be contacting the local fire marshal about the unsafe conditions in the hotel.

I arrived at the hotel late due to a delay in my flight, and the usual check-in time closed at midnight. The hotel has a sign right next to the entrance door. The sign say: "For late Check In, please dial EXT. 0 for further assistance" . I called and only the cleaning guy showed up to open the door and say, you have to wait until 6:30 am, he told me that he was just the cleaning guy and he couldn't check-in. I slept in the lobby in a small chair from 1:00 am to 7:00 am having a paid room in the hotel. In the morning at 7:00 am, when the person in charge of the Check In service arrived, he did not even let me speak, he told me that he would use the room only after 3:00 pm. Due to his attitude, I left the hotel immediately to find another hotel. I was very upset, disappointed and tired. That happened to me at Extended Stay America Suites Phoenix Midtown.

The staff was great both nights and did their best with what they had. I had to wait to check in because my room was not ready and then I didn’t have any bath towels, and what they had available was slightly damp since the dryer wasn’t drying properly. And then the next day my room key wasn’t working. It was overall suitable for a place to sleep, but the facility wasn’t something to write home about.

The first room was dirty, and the drapes were ripped off the wall and laying on the bed. The second room they put us in the dresser and the TV were moved into the bathroom area. And then the third room they put us and was fine. Room key didn’t work the next day. And there was no water in the morning when we checked out, which I understand happens, but we were not told about it.

Not good!
Overall the place was just not safe. Kids running all over in the halls with no supervision. People above our room were noisy and arguing. Cops showed up and homeless people outside wondering in parking lot.

Homeless around the premises and people prompting doors that shouldn’t

I ran into I ran into him a family emergency and had to cancel the reservation or should I say, tried to cancel the reservation. I went to the physical location. They refused to cancel, saying, I had to go through hotels.com which I sat in the parking lot for 45 minutes trying to do so online and kept getting a chat person or robot should I say. I kept asking for a phone number and never received one and couldn’t cancel the reservation so it looks like I’m stuck with the cost of a room which I never got. I’m very pissed off at hotels.com for making it so difficult to cancel a reservation when in fact, you state in writing that it is oh so simple Not happy.

Really, I was looking for a suite with a kitchen. This one has a kitchen but with a non-working stove. And there is no toaster or coffee maker. The pan left there is badly burned. And the non refundable booking i made via Expedia ended up with a higher price than the one on this hotel's Website. And Expedia never returned my call after i complained.

Honestly, the place is one down. It needs lots of help. Guests should not have to walk around trash, and linens in the hallway. It’s billed as an extended stay, and yet they were no dishes no pans. There was a single plastic cup next to the sink.

The front desk assistant when i first checked in was nice. Whe it was time for me to check in which was after 3pm, my room was not ready. The whole building smelled of Marijuana. The cleaning lady was barley working on our room. After waiting for her to finish she told us to go to a different room. She was rude about it and wehad already waited for her to finish. She was fiddling with her phone and cleaning. After she was done with the room she sprayed clorox over everything. I know it was clorox, because I smelt it on the bed when I laid down. Now that I finally got home I have a bad clorox spot on my shirt. Now my personal item is ruined.

the place was full of noisy and dirty people and the rooms were very run down and when i checked in i was given a key to a room that was already occupied. the people staying there for the most part were overnighters who were noisy and very disrespectful of others trying to sleep also had i known that there was no housekeeping except for an additional fee i would not have stayed there. had to get my own towels and wash cloths and soap also the so called breakfast was a joke. i would never stay at one of their hotels again.

The hotel aesthetics were not as described online. The carpet was heavy stained with dirt. The kitchen products were very outdated. The bathroom had hair in the walls in the shower.

Steer clear
There was no lock on the door. Had to push the sofa up against it. Also, ended up covered in bites. Not sure if it was bed bugs or fleas

The staffing is almost is missing at a critical time 'when the toilet stopped working in my room. I had to fill my trash can, and poor water in too flush. 😒😳🙄

I booked this room ten days ago. I informed the staff before booking that i would be checking in early morning because i arrived in Phoenix at 1 and after picking up my rental car it was 2:30 am when I arrived. There was no one at the front desk which is understandable.we called the cell phone number that was left at the desk and the recwptionist arrived. She informed us our room was not ready. We waited a full hour as we waited for our room to be prepared. The receptionist, Kim, was visibly under the influence of something she fumble with our keys told us we would be staying for four nights, we only booked one, we were handed stained towels a trash bag and before we got to our room Kim ran up and said she gave us the keys to the wrong room and explained that 320 was a room that was empty but one we should not go into. Finally we arrived into our room and of course there is no toilet paper. It is 3:30 am at this point and both my wife and I cannot sleep because of this awful, weird and honestly gross experience.

Elevator, carpet and furniture super old. I will say the location is very convenient but so many strange people outside and around property
