Good place to stay
A good place to stay if you just want to sleep.
Cleanliness leaves a great deal to be desired and Breakfast is a joke. They should consider improving those 2 points.
With that being said, Location is easily accessible and Front Desk Staff is respectful, friendly and very professional with all clients I witnessed them interact with, including me. Both night and day staff there are delivering an outstanding customer service performance, and I would return just for this.
I definitely recommend.

The property was conveniently located and affordable. Upon entering our room- the heat was set at 86F. The room was spacious but the TV didn't work, the sofa was uncomfortable and cupboards damaged.
All of this was cosmetic and not a big deal for an overnight stay but the 2 dead and 1 live cockroach were disgusting.

There was dog poo on the hallway and several of the occupants told the front desk person (the guy’s name was Paul). He did not take care of it even after 5 hours. One resident said there was another dog poo in the corridor which stayed there for several days.

The hallways and the room smelled. The sheets were not comfortable, you could tell they were old. We actually slept with blankets from home. The bed was super uncomfortable and not very supportive. There was a cockroach by elevator. YUCK!

Communication was good regarding room that was available that had a smoker in it previously. Sofabed was very uncomfortable. Discouraged that a discount was not offered since breakfast was not available.

unfortunately we found they did not have a clean room for us because they only had 1 cleaning lady so thankfully there was a older extended stay in the back. hopefully they can find 1 or 2 workers soon. the room we stayed in was clean and comfortable.

Very run down and unclean. No staff at front desk and took near 30 minutes to check in. Dirty linens in the hallway for over 24 hours. Chair in room was broken, bathroom door would not shut and bed/linens were poor quality.

The beds were quite uncomfortable. The room had a few broken features including the toilet seat, outlet and light switch covers, broken drawer. We did ask for additional sheets for the pull out bed which arrived right away and that was helpful.

The first thing I noticed was that the fridge did not work. I went to report that immediately as that was one reason I booked a suite. The receptionist said that they will look into it in 15 minutes. Nobody came ever but I managed to figure out that the fridge was turned off and it worked when I turned it on . He could have easily offered some tips right away. Then it got worse, the sink was blocked, the bathroom door would not close or open properly as it was broken / come off the hinges (before we came in) . When we tried to open a kitchen drawer it came off unhinged too. I reported all these right away on the same day and nothing was fixed or even attempted to be fixed as they did not visit the room at all for 2 days! They could not change my room as they were fully booked and all the receptionists were very passive aggressive. They just took down the complaints without even apologizing. I was told to speak with a manager but there apparently is no manager over weekends when we were there. Also be aware that kitchen utensils are only provided upon request which I also requested and never got. There were no napkins at the measly breakfast bar and when asked to replenish I was told that they had run out. They also don’t clean rooms on a daily basis which I had asked and it was never cleaned. My worst experience ever !

I booked a king deluxe handicap accessible suite on Expedia and at check in was told they have no kind accessible rooms, as a matter of fact they don’t have any king rooms…the first two nights we were there the fire alarm went off 4x in evenings and mornings. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone…they hallways are strewn with garbage…as is the parking lot.

The room itself was great, bed was good, bathroom clean and all the appliances worked. The problem was that I was told housekeeping was every 2 weeks, that is just too long. I understand it is an extended stay and the housekeeping rules are different but the others I have stayed in do housekeeping every week. If they have an every 2 weeks housekeeping then every room should come with a broom, dustpan and mop maybe even assess to a vacuum cleaner.

I booked this hotel through Expedia and when i reached at 10pm the front desk representative mentioned that they are over booked and there are no rooms.
But they charged me as no show. I ended up on calling Expedia and extended stay to return back my money.
Waste of time and energy.
I don’t even refer this hotel or even Expedia.
If hotels are not honouring Expedia reservations then why we need to book from Expedia?

When I’m traveling I prefer a place which makes me feel secure, options for meals and clean. No I don’t want a shelf stable breakfast option. I stayed because I had no other option at the time.

2 negatives come to mind:
1) There is no ice machine. I was told to make my own ice in the room fridge or freezer, which means that I have to wait overnight to have a cold beverage.
2) The breakfast which is advertised, should not even be called that. On our first day, there were oatmeal packets (no spoons to eat it with), muffins, granola bars and coffee. On the 2nd day, it was coffee and granola bars.
In my opinion, this should not be called a breakfast !! On both days, I stopped and checked on offerings early in the morning and 1.5 hours later, with no difference in what was available.

The hotel is quiet, and felt safe. However, in certain areas the rug had an unpleasant odor. It is not a really clean hotel. I was very uncomfortable sleeping because my pillows were extremly flat. No extra pillows available. The vending machine hardly works if u need drinking water. Had to consistently get the room card rekeyed. Hotel staff didnt seem too pleasant and friendly. There is nothing to really do at the hotel, Only Gym available.

False or incorrect advertising on the websites. Pool pictured but non-existent. Breakfast is coffee, granola bars and pkgd. muffins and not replenished in a timely way. Nothing available at 7 am except coffee. Had to ask receptionist for food to be replenished. No place to sit and eat in lobby. Have to bring food to room. But room only had one desk chair at the table. We were not told at check in that we had to ask for anything to be provided in room. Had to request a waste basket and a coffee machine. Rooms very dated, dark browns and dingy looking. Sofa very uncomfortable. Beyond bare bones. Would never stay here again.

The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff was great. The people that work there every day should be commended. However, the place was filthy. It wasn’t just the room. It was everywhere in the building. The staff do the best they can. The onus is on corporate to hire more maintenance and cleaning staff. The laundry room was helpful. However, I suggest putting in a folding chair, at least so guests can wait and have a place to sit.

The manager never got back to me regarding the difficulties of my initial day. Between things being broken and the construction noise, it may not be in proper shape for guests at this time. The people were nice though.

BED BUGS!!!
This was the most disgusting hotel I have ever seen. When we walk into the room they did not clean it. There was garbage from the previous clients in the drawers. The worst was when we moved the blankets on the bed and there was a BED BUG crawling. We left immediately and had to scramble to find alternate accomodations. I would not wish the nightmare experience we had on anyone!

Despite the signs everywhere saying "no smoking", the whole place smelt of cigarette smoke.
Also, I was disconnected from WiFi the instant I checked out, meaning that I had to walk to another local hotel to use their free WiFi to order a taxi the day I left.

Mr. Joe was very kind and professional. There was a mistake with our booking and we were given an occupied room, so the front desk looked for another room for us. The next day, we were told there will be no charges for the stay :-) and they apologized for the inconvenient.

The ac wasn’t working in the rooms, and we were given queen beds though we were charged for king. Also, the room claimed it could sleep 4 adults, but the sofa bed couldn’t fit more than one person comfortably. There were also no linens provided for the sofa bed.

The staff, I have zero complaints. They were very friendly.
However, the entire place smelled like cigarettes. The gym was also very dirty. My room, under the couch had not been cleaned in some time. I only noticed because I saw something poking out from underneath. My window didn’t open. Trying to air out the room when I got back to my room. Just to clear out the stale cigarette smell. It seems like families are living there. I don’t have any issues with. It’s just having them respect the property and other guests. The elevator was perfumed with marijuana and cigarettes. The floor was dirty and there was four days of makeup (liquid foundation fingers) smeared across the buttons and wall. My last day it was cleaned. The floor still has the same marking.
The location was great, short commute to work. Lots of restaurants around. And again the staff was amazing.

Attendant not at desk for over and hour while we were stuck in their broken down elevator. We called 911 and she still was not at her desk when they arrived. She was rude and basically blamed us. Had she been at her station she would have known we called 911.

Bad customer service/incorrectly charged.
I was charged for an April 9th booking even though when I got to the hotel my room was given away so there was no availability. It was late at night when I got there but I had called ahead and was assured my booking would be fine. I ended up having to book another hotel. They refuse to refund me for the night. I am working in that area next several months and travel from NY weekly. I was planning on using this hotel but nope, they won’t get my business now!

Loud, barking dog in next room. Completely out of control by owner. Waited 20 minutes in line at front desk to request a different room, then was told none were available. During that time, three other guests came through the lobby with their dogs. We checked out less than an hour after checking in. This was our third time at ESA but it will be our last.

Walking into this place is not like walking into a hotel at all. More like security for a dirty airport.
The gentlemen behind the desk treated us like we were visiting inmates in prison. He actually scanned both of our ID’s.
Then we got put in the dog wing. That’s right. This place has every dog in the hotel in the same hallway, nice right? So anytime one dog barked there was a chorus because that’s what dogs do. Stupid and clearly not thought out at all.
We went to a grocery store to get groceries because we specifically got a room with a kitchenette so we could cook for ourselves.
There was a kitchenette but no utensils, plates, cookware, napkins or towels. When we asked for these things at the desk we were offered a single plastic spoon.
The sheets and towels were stiff like they had been dried without fabric softener.
We were given a sheet and a crappy blanket, no comforter and 3 of the worst feather pillows you’ve ever seen. All three wouldn’t make up one pillow.
The room was either WAY too hot or WAY too cold because the climate control wasn’t working properly.
After I checked out, I realized I forgot my laptop charger at the hotel. It took 4 calls to get a human on the phone. The women I spoke to was petulant and insisted my charger wasn’t there.
When I called customer service to complain about this awful experience, it all the sudden turned up.
We got a hotel room to get away from stress and it actually stressed us out so much more.

We did not stay, we checked in and felt uncomfortable, the place was dirty, guest where unfriendly. It appeared to be housing people that had now where else to go.
The room was dirty with liquor bottles, the property felt unsafe. We left after taking with the front desk person who refunded us the $100 deposit on the room. I am trying to get a refund from Expedia for the room change since we did not stay there.

Theres are some weird weird people that go to the hotel, the lobby and hallways smell vert weird, you can hear the mess the other rooms are making, people were banging on your door for no reason, cops got there 2 times. The only reason i stayed here is because it is the only place that allows 21 and under to stay

The GM checked me in and was extremely nice. The room was great, love the separate seating area rather than just a bed and tv. BUT, guests were so loud (which i no they really cant control) doors slamming all hours, and two large dogs on my floor running down hall barking at one point. Maybe some more checking of the floors by staff would help.

Room booked for 4 , Checked in and when arriving in the room found that the sofa bed was not only not ready with any linen but also the mattress was filthy disgusting with spoils and stains.Eventually we were given some linen to make up our own bed.
Lots of dust and spider webs especially over lamp shades.
Hotel was booked with complimentary breakfast but infact breakfast consist of cereal bars and coffee or tea : that’s it .
Second day instant oatmeal was added.
That is not what I would call a breakfast.
Overall very dissatisfied.
Only positive was friendlyness of staff.

The front office person, Tracy, provided me with a lot of useful information. She is friendly and helpful. You can also trust her direction. Overall, my stay would never been better without her.

You get what you pay for?
Checkin was slow due to a language barrier, which led to my information being entered incorrectly. The room was clean, with minimal toiletries, and uncomfortably warm when we entered. Couldn't sleep with window open since we were on the first floor. The rooms are NOT sound proof and there were other guests that were very loud all through the night. After speaking with the lovely & courteous manager the next morning at checkout, we learned that most of the guests were there for such an extended stay that they treated the hotel as their home. Lastly, we were told breakfast would be available in the morning, but alas, there was nothing available. Given all of this, we decided with so many other options in the area, Extended Stay America is off of our list.

Waltham Extended Stay 1/21 was okay
The Extended Stay hotel has two adjacent buildings, so always check which one you have a reservation for.
Some of the rooms have doors that require a trick to get in.
Otherwise my stay was fine.

Poor room furniture and service
One of the gas stoves was not working. The drain was very slow in the bathtub so dirty water accumulated during the shower. The hot water was off during one of the days of the stay. The queen sofa bed was very uncomfortable. They did not have pack-and-play for toddlers. The drawer in the study table was broken.

First thing I saw after checking in is a giant hairball on the carpet. Tacky floor, spider webs (and a speedy spider) on the ceiling corners, exposed wires on the AC unit -- just find somewhere else to stay, please.

My iPad was stolen from my room and a police report was lodged. The ipad was inside my room. Also property is bad in cleanliness - the hall was always with bad/trash smell. Elevator was always dirty. But staff was extremely nice.

When we arrived to this hotel, we were told they were overbooked and we were unable to stay at the facility. We wound up traveling elsewhere to be accommodated. We won’t be staying with any Extended Stays in the future.

The staff was great. The hotel was not. The stairwell to the 2nd floor was filthy and the keypad didn’t work to let us in. Our key to the room was difficult to use. The hallways smelled of garbage, as did the lobby. The bed/ pillows were uncomfortable. The lighting in the bathroom was dim and the shower pressure was less than good. Breakfast in the morning was a packet of oatmeal, packaged muffin and coffee. We were originally staying for 2 nights but changed our reservation to 1 … we weee not refunded the entirety of the first night. We spent $273 for one night and although it was safe I wouldn’t stay there again.

System was down, and while we could go to the room, we couldn’t have WiFi till the system restored. The room had nothing- not a cup in the kitchen, no coffee maker, no bedding for the pullout couch. Hallways were dirty. Tried to change my reservation to one night rather than two, but was billed for both overnight and never got notified.

Fine for an overnight
The suite that we had was small, but pleasant--would have been better for one person than two. The bedroom area was quite small. The room had a kitchenette, so in an extended stay, you could save some money by making simple meals. My wife thought the bed was comfortable, but I woke up with a stiff back. I am not crazy about the layout of the bathroom, where the shower and toilet are separated from the sink and vanity, and these are open to the bedroom. It looked like the place could use a total renovation, as things were looking worn and used, but overall it was clean. The staff was pleasant. There is no full breakfast, but there is a "grab and go service"--coffee, granola bars, etc. Not the most elegant place, but reasonably priced for the Boston area, and just fine for an overnight (we were heading out for Logan the next day).

There’s dog stools all around the building and grass areas next to parking lot. My room has bad odor. There’s not enough coffee and breakfast items, and the breakfast serving area is not clean. The coffee spills all over the floor.

Two Nights in Purgatory
The staff was wonderful but it's a shame they have to work in such a shabby hotel. Our room needs a lot of work. The bathroom door would not close all the way and a previous occupant had punched a hole in it. The air conditioner needs to be cleaned or preferably replaced. The air smelled dirty. The worn carpets don't get vacuumed all the way in the corners as there is a layer of dirt built up there. The "free WiFi" is inadequate and I needed to purchase a $6 upgrade to have a Zoom meeting. The dishes/ utensils are not in the room. You need to ask for them at the desk. I found this out when I checked out. Don't count on the "breakfast".

Everything seemed dirty. TONS of long hairs in the bed when we pulled back sheets. Hair on towels and shower curtain too. Sticky floors. Dirty bath mat. Sink water shot out black when we first turned it on. Curiously show check in\out process. Would never stay here again. If I thought any solution besides just my money back and me having to search for a new room late at night would have been offered I would have left.

I didnt like anything. What i didnt like was how the employees werent friendly, the rooms smelled like wet dog and cigarrates. The kitchen didnt have any utensils to use. Behind the beds it was dirty. In the hallways there was pet hair everywhere. There wasnt a coffee maker to make coffee like the rest of the hotels. Overall it wasnt a pleasent experience.

I was a bit concerned as i got stuck at BOS and this was the only hotel avail. Rooms were large and nice. Staff were super friendly. I was onky in the room 4 hrs but i did get sone sleep and ahower. Ran out of toothpaste and the were happy to give me some free sachets

The door handle needed to be swiped/juggled several times to open. Breakfast was some packaged muffins and oatmeal, not even a fruit basket, ended up going out. No dnd tag, which was fine bc housekeeping didn’t clean during out stay. Day of check out housekeeping knocked at 10a, like we couldn’t leave fast enough.

The lobby and desk area was cluttered with dirty laundry.
The hallway going to the rooms is dark and dingy.
Room was clean but the finishing on the cabinets was flaking off.
Shower head leaked.
