Checked in and was given a smoking room. Reservation requested non smoking room.
Not enough hot water to take one shower …
This 1/2 shower for 1 and no shower for the second person.
Upon checkout we expressed in a very civil manner re the hot water and they ‘knew about it’.
It’s not our nature to complain…however we do feel there should be a certain level of compensation since we could not properly clean ourselves with a shower.
I did call the front desk to report the lack of hot water and they said they wood call me back and never did.
We have time share with Hilton Grand Vacations and try to remain loyal.
Right now we are at Hiltons Embassy Suites in Brunswick, Georgia and the experience so far is just the opposite. Quite nice!

Toilet is so low to the ground; it looks like it belongs in a preschool. The shower did not work without great effort. Thought it might break.
The rest was really nice.

Nice hotel; would have preferred 4 towels in a room that sleeps 4. Elevators are extremely slow and fitness center left something to be desired. Proximity to places we needed and the interstate is great.

No electric charger - beware
Hotel was clean and spacious, but the main reason we chose this hotel was because it shows there is an electric vehicle charger. After arriving we were advised that it hasn’t worked on over a year.

I arrived around 10pm and was told they only had smoking rooms left even though my reservation was for non smoking. As a non smoker it was horrible. There were no hotel rooms available within a reasonable distance or I would have left. Smell aside the room and entire hotel are tied and very much in need of a renovation try to stay elsewhere.

Everything, was pleasing. Very convenient. Clean. Staff was very attentive knowledgeable it’s not to say that even down to the restaurant staff was attentive. It was in an area where you could walk and shop or just get coffee.

The staff and the breakfast/ buffet service was excellent but the carpet needs cleaning, the telephone in my room to call the front desk didn’t work. The printing system they have in the business center is inefficient and broken. I finally went to the front desk and asked someone to print.
For a good night’s sleep and bring close to Fort Gregg Adams and Colonial Heights this is it but I was disappointed in a few basic amenity areas.

The staff at check in was very unorganized and had troubles realizing i had already paid through the 3rd party and breakfast was a nightmare orders wrong and took forever. Staffing unorganized and not helpful. Rooms and beds are worn down. Very disappointed

We came to Colonial Heights to visit the Keystone Truck and Tractor Museum. This hotel was close to the museum and had so many other things to do and places to eat nearby. The room was clean, the beds were comfy, and the pool and spa were clean and well-maintained. The housekeeping staff were so friendly, and the ladies at the front desk were so warm and accommodating. We would stay here again!

Upon my arrival to Virginia from New York City. I called the front desk spoke with a gentleman who confirmed my reservation and room being ready. I asked if i needed to pay anything because i was 3 miles away at my daughter's school checking unpacking her for college. The gentleman stated everything was fine. When i arrived at the Hilton property at around 8:30pm after a long day and being exhausted. I was told by a very cold hearted worker that the hotel over booked and my reservation was canceled and they will refund me. Tears came to my eyes and i had an instead headache, i told the gentlemen i was from NY, where am i to stay. He stated he do not know. I then asked to speak to a supervisor inwhich none was on the premises, they had to call on the phone, which was extremely impersonal. The supervisor told her staff to offer me the only room available which was a room with damp wet carpet by the AC unit that made the entire room smelled moldy. No one followed up the next day on how i was doing,knowing the room was defective. This experience gave me anxiety and i was completely disappointed in the Hilton chain that i always have such great experiences with. This hotel is right in the heart of where my daughter attends college and i would have loved it to be my home away from home when I visit her at school. I was extremely upset.

Today at checkout 8/1/2022 my wife and I approached and informed the front desk male staff that we were checking out. He briskly pointed to the plexiglass container and never greeted us or explained the process. Consequently, it left a sour taste leaving a negative impression of our stay! Although, we had a pleasant experience with other staff members during our stay; this experience during checkout damped any positive impression we had prior to exit.

Tawanda at the front desk was amazing! She was pleasant, helpful and genuinely cared about the guests. Her attitude and smile made my stay extremely pleasant even though the TV was not up to par. A maintenance person was supposed to show up but never did.

We loved the location. Tons of shopping and great places to eat. We loved sitting outside on the 2nd floor balcony in the breezy time of the day as well as early evening as the sun set.
The staff, managed by Tiffany, was wonderful in so many ways. We highly recommend Hilton Garden Inn located in Colonial Heights.

Comfortable / great for length of our stay
The room was clean, the STAFF were super nice, and the beds are very comfortable. The only downer was the pool wasnt what was expected. That wasnt the cleanest. The gym wasnt in complete working order ( not for me, lol, 1but for my son and his friend ) other than that, everything was perfect. Also, we only stayed 1 night because we had a funeral to attend. If i had time to honestly check out the place further who knows what my review would be.

Nice location with plenty of dining choices available. Clean room with comfortable bed. There is an outdoor seating area for smoking a cigar, etc. That was nice. However, no one seems to be charge of this space. Found someone's
leftover cigar butt on the table the afternoon after I had been out there. I picked up after myself, but no one picked up after the other folks.
Additionally, there was no laundry soap available on site, and only one dryer was capable of accepting a credit card to operate.
And, at their little bar, I thought $7.73 for a single bottle of beer is over the top.

I never seen a hotel, maybe 20 tears ago, where the wi-fi is only available if you became a Hilton member. So have got very frustrated when I try to attend to the wi-fi which was really important for my need. I got so frustrated that I will try in the future to avoid any of the Hilton group Hotel. You paid over $200.00 room and the wi-fi service is not free...

We stayed here to attend a wedding in Petersburg. It was in close proximity to restaurants amd shopping. While there were a lot of activities and events going on in the lobby, it did not spill over onto the hotel floors which was a huge plus. The staff were very accommodating and personable. I’d stay again.

No water pressure at all. Water trickled for a minute then a little harder then trickle again. AC unit was rickety with a piece falling off. It made crackling sounds all night. Tiny toilet very close to the floor.

The Hotel was great but the experience was lacking
When I first arrived I had to wait in the lobby for 10+ minutes due to my room not being ready. And this was after paying and checking in online so that I could use digital check-in and avoid the front desk. Did I mention I didn’t even arrive on the property until after 4pm and check in starts at 3. When I brought this up to the front desk associate she stated she needed my credit card even tho I paid on line and had a Hilton Honers representative enter the information previously. Now I have a charge showing I paid the room two days prior and two pending transactions ($50 and $145) that are still on my card two days later.

I read many of the reviews and almost changed my mind. The hotel is not brand new, however, clearly it has been well maintained from my observation. My room was clean, the bed was excellent. It was quiet. Bathroom was very clean and well stocked. I didn't use any of the dining options because it is in the middle of many restaurants and a mall. I have business in this area consistently and have stayed at many of the hotels in the area. This was the best of them and I will definitely stay there again.

Very clean hotel. However, very short on staff. Vent in bathroom was broken. Was told by waitress orange juice machine was broken. When I asked for pancakes was told machine is broken. Asked for french toast, same answer. Breakfast was a waste of money. Save
