Review of Premier Deerwood Jotel
While the hotel was relatively pleasant there was frequent noise. There was 24 hour noise from the nearby storage room, noisy housekeepers, building renovation starting relatively early in the morning (one morning we were woken up by jackhammers) water was turned off for a couple of hours on one day and interruption in TV service on another day. All staff were very helpful, however.

The lobby was under construction, that plays a role. The continental breakfast was just bad not much to offer. The bed was comfortable, slept like a rock. The shower was good, nice water pressure. The pool looked nice but we did not go in. Overall a nice place.

So the staff. Wonderful people (does not inlcude house cleaning). Front staff is the reason for thr 2nd star. The issues i had was 1. The tub was about half the size of a small normal tub you would see in an apartment. 2. The tub takes about 45 minutes to drain. The sink took several hours to drain. The toilet had buildup inside so bad it was showing outside the toilet, there was a leak coming through the bathroom ceiling. The ac unit on the wall was dead. Replaced with new batteries and it worked but the ac unit would not shut off and yet the room stayed about 80 degress. Ac unit in the room is extremly loud (sounds like animal banging around inside a dumster next you kind of sound). There was a half naked women standing outside the hotel when we arrived. Turned out to be a prositute who approached me with my 3 month old at the elevator. For about $150 for the night there is much safer and better hotels in the area. Again the only good things were the front desk staff and the t.v in the room.

Beautiful place very poor breakfast selection.
I am so disappointed about the poor selection of breakfast I went to La Quinta for $66 a night and had better breakfast also no microwave in the room. I will go for a same price $127 to Holiday in express.
Because it’s under constraints they should disclose that can not provide hot breakfast and full breakfast. I would never pay that high price for that poor breakfast. But the room was beautiful clean modern remodeled.

It is important when you are remodeling a property, not to cancel the key services for your customers. I understand that the property will become or it is already a property that belongs to MARRIOTT, it has not being unveiled but you can see it, starting for the Wi-Fi password. So yesterday they cancel the breakfast without notifying the customers at the time of check in, and that is very low of the hotel, not to provide an option for the customer to have breakfast, as the service it is included in the rate you are paying. Did they give you a credit for that? Of course not, they charge the full amount of the rate, like they provided you all the services...No ethical at all!!!

Overall I was pretty happy with my experience in this hotel. It is clean and specious. However to my surprise, it doesn’t have a closet or cloth hangers, which was awkward to me. Another thing I was not particularly happy about was that we missed the breakfast time (up to 9:00), and no one told us about it. We thought it would be 10am.

The front desk clerks both were so amazing and understanding I had booked the room to get away from life but I had to run because my daughter had an accident and we ended up at the emergency so I was there 4 hours but I enjoyed my shower and nap

Very good value, problems with towels and a TV issue, and bar not open on Sundays - not mentioned. Otherwise, some growing pains for a real nice facility, will try again when in town for Mayo Clinic

Upon check-in the going to the room.. The bed was unmade & the room clearly hadn't been cleaned. I went back to the front desk. They gave me a new room. Which at first seemed very nice. Waking up early on the 2nd morning i saw a cockroach crawling on the ceiling above the bed!!! I brought my concerns to the staff and was told i should have told them earlier.. Then they could have changed our room again & sprayed. Changing rooms at 630am was pointless as we checked out shortly after.. They also stated that since I'd booked through a 3rd party (CheapTickets.com) I'd need to contact them for any possible refund..

There was baby roaches all in the bathrooom. We asked the front desk lady if we can get fresh sheets she said no sorry she is the only one there and the free breakfast was them saying they didn’t have anything except cereal and we had to wait for the milk. I’m not sure how they have any good reviews.

Renovations are going on to convert this property to a Marriot Delta hotel. Currently has cheap rates. Breakfast was light with no hot food since the kitchen isn’t fully operational. Overall great value

The ambiance and look of the hotel is beautiful. However, when I got to my room the towels had various colors of long hair on them. The following morning, the continental breakfast was "first come first serve" if you wanted something other than a muffin or danish. They made a sandwich with eggs and turkey sausage and this was first come first serve. Later on, during the second day I asked for additional towels and were told they ran out.

My stay here was good it was not to far from shopping malls Dave and busters were right across the street. Only issue I had was the room was extremely dusty!!! The bed the floor the bathroom everything I had to dusty the whole room.

We had stayed in May and knew of the refurbishment of the facility and all went well then… now in November things seem to not conform to that past experience to include terrible follow tru on housekeeping request… did three requests but got 1 1/2 granted ( staff had no clean sheets available)… then on our last nite the fire alarm went off at 12:30am and intermittently kept going off till we left at 3:40am … it was toooo loud so we opted to leave expeditiously early….

Great hotel I stayed over for a 49er game. Turns out the hotel were mainly 49er fans that came to watch the game. So yes I read the reviews and a few things were true. Slow drain in the shower. Floor was quite dirty and there were no towels til the morning. The AC kicks on making a noise but it’s not bad and I’m a light sleeper. Bed was comfortable and the room was newly renovated. Was really nice stay. I’d stay again and am planning too. It’s located near everything the stadium, restaurants beach is not to far away. Dave and busters right across walking distance. Just bring floor slippers and maybe some towels just in case. I had room 202 corner room and I loved it. It’s a nice area.

The power went out briefly on the day of check-in. Breakfast could use some help. There were no towels or wash clothes because there was a towel shortage.

Room smelled liked throw up and trash. Room only came with one face towel. When i went to asked for more towel which we had needed at the moment. I was welled at in front of another worker and a lobby full of other customers. Guy was black male with blue hoodie on black pants with walkie or him. The lady at the desk was named Debbie she was very sweet my mom agree we hurry and getaway from hotel before things took a turn.

We didn't get a bathmat in our room or towels, and our phone did not work. We had to ask for a hair dryer four different times. Breakfast was nonexistent, very few choices. The microwave wasn't in our room... Housekeeping never even knocked on our door. We will not be back.

Construction inside and outside hotel. Breakfast is only cold cereal, muffins, and ONE KURIG machine for everyone to use. Maybe in a few months will be ok. For now stay away.

Hotel is in transition of new ownership.
Kitchen was limited to grab and go. Rooms have no creamer for coffee machine, individual. Room was freezing when entered, heat doesn't work.. Sounds of 95 are constant.

They were doing a lot of construction during our stay, which is probably necessary. The curtains were kind of falling apart, and the floors seemed a little grimey. But the room seemed mostly clean, and the bed was super comfortable. Huge TV, nice windows. They need a larger coffèe maker for the breakfast downstairs, or more of the k-cup machines. And there were no hair dryers in the bathroom, which is something I usually expect, so I didn't bring mine. Not the biggest deal, since we only stayed one night.

This experience has not been pleasant. When checking in you could not hear the front desk clerk over the construction noise. The smoke alarm for the hotel went off in the hotel and when tried to contact front desk phone doesn't work. Front desk did not know what happened. No apologies. Fire dept never showed. Smoke alarm in room chirping all night. Complained to front desk 2 times before fixed. Internet doesn't work. Emailed hotel through expedia with no response. When got back to hotel one night you could hear the front desk clerk keep swearing after got off phone. Lobby and elevators not cleaned. Not a good experience.

To begin with, the hotel refused to give any receipt after checkin and after paying the $50 deposit. The breakfast was poor - it was just 1 fruit bar and coffee, this isnt what I expected from a 4star hotel. Also the room was luxurious but the bathroom is whole another issue, the sink and shower wouldnt drown the water and we had to wait super long for it.
Mattress and decor is important but not at the expense of crappy bathroom.
Im never booking that hotel unless they make some serious changes.

Major renovations are being done, with plastic sheets hanging in the lobby. Breakfast was on tables next to the elevator. There was just one 4 slice toaster, and the right side of the toaster didn’t work. There was a message taped to the table in front of the toaster saying not to use the right side. The message had obviously been there a long time. I went down for breakfast Saturday and the staff said the left side of the toaster was smoking, so they removed the toaster. You would think that instead of putting a message on the table about problems with the toaster they would have gotten a new one.

We get there they are doing work on the building no no bar or restaurant and then We had millions of ants in our room when we got back from our show in our room… we told worker and we’re told that there was nothing he could do talk to management in the morning so when we checked out, we asked for a manager and we were told there is no manager on duty called the hotel tomorrow on Monday… the hotel was just gross and unprofessional and unorganized

The gentleman at the front desk was awesome! The only complaint is that we got a late checkout because we had a late night and wanted to sleep in before our flight. We were on the floor that was under construction and apparently they really needed our room because they knocked on the door about every half hour to see if we were leaving yet. This started at 8am and continued until we left at 11:45 and we still didn’t have to be out intolerable 12:30. We should have been put on a different floor maybe?!

I did not know the property was under construction at the time of booking. Half the building was under construction and our room was not remodeled. The sheets had blood stains on them and the bathtub was very old. I could also hear the people in the room next door through the vent. They weren't being loud, actually they were almost whispering. The pictures on Expedia are very misleading.

We got in town early called to see if we could check in early, was told no because rooms were still being cleaned. Check in was at 3, we ended up getting there about 6. Had to switch rooms, floors were so dirty, dirty wash cloth with private hairs hanging on shower, couple buggers on the wall in shower. Nothing in bathroom was wiped down. New room was better, floors were not great. Was under construction in lobby so not hugging that. Breakfast was funny. When we went to car like 8pm no lights in parking lot at all, was so dark and scary. Coming in from out of town didn’t know area. Was not impressed ☹️

Construction zone with no amenities
I booked this hotel based on photos from the website. What was not mentioned is that the hotel is currently a construction zone. It was so loud we couldn't hear each other speak, the rooms, while having new flooring and bedding, had old, broken, and stained bathtub/toilets, and it just had an overall cheap and not well-completed overhaul of the rooms. The breakfast was in the construction zone--the cereal dispensers were broken leaving one option, there were a few small oranges out, there was white bread and plain bagels for toasting, but the toaster was broken on one side and the rotary dials were taped down with scotch tape. The container holding the bread/bagels was also broken. Lastly, there were no working ice machines in the whole place--had to go to front desk to ask for ice, but there was nothing to hold the ice bucket so you have to use cups. When asked for three cups of ice, the employee went to the kitchen and was gone several minutes so I ran out to my car and back. The cups were sitting on the counter with about 8 small ice cubes in each cup. They really should have just closed this hotel until they were ready to serve guests--or not charge $129/nt.

I booked through Orbitz thinking that they check out these premises before recommending. Thie property is under MAJOR RENOVATIONS. LOBBY had dust and wires all over the place. The ice machine did not work. Room was ok but they put us on the 6th floor and bathtub and sink slow draining water. Do not recommend this until renovations are complete.

Under renovation and filthy
Walking in to this hotel to check in, we were greeted with construction work & workers and that was when we were made aware that it was being renovated, something we should have been told prior to booking by hotels.com. No amenities were available. The restaurant was closed, the WIFi didn’t work. We were told the pool was open but we would have had to endure the dust, noise and presence of the construction workers if we attempted to use the pool. The make shift breakfast area was right in the middle of all the dust and construction. Construction was on going our entire stay from 7am in the morning. We booked three rooms for two nights and all 3 were filthy with hair and dirt on the bathroom floors, dusty furniture and unclean smelly linen on the beds. Electric plugs that were loose and unusable. 2 of the rooms had no wash clothes. 2 rooms had phones that were not in working condition. We were told the rooms had been renovated. If that’s true, I encourage management to get their money back! We booked & paid for two nights but left in the afternoon on the second day without spending another night in this disaster of a “hotel”. One pro…the young man working when we checked in & out was very nice & apologetic, however it doesn’t change the fact that we had to pay for a different hotel to stay in the second night rather than spend another night in this place.

Fire Alarm issue
Eventhough they are renovating, everyrhing was clean & organized. However, thee was an accidental? fire alarm @ 8am & the elevators were shut down for a while afterward. There was NO DIRECTION TO THE CORRECT STAIRWELL EXIT!! BOTH SHOULD BE AVAILABLE TO GET TO THE LOBBY!! Then had to walk back up to the 5th floor(there are 6 floors), WITH BAGS!

The room was not clean. The bed linens were visibly soiled with what appeared to be make up. The shower was not clean. There were not wash clothes in the bathroom. There was minimal lighting in the elevator area on the second floor. The refrigerator in the room did not work. I understand the hotel was under renovation but the cleanliness could have been better. Staff were pleasant.

Renovations
The hotel is being remodeled, so there was dust everywhere and the pool and other features were not open. The third fooor was completely finished and the beds comfortable, but dust from the construction entered through the vents. My husband used a towel to clean the furniture.
In addition, the internet worked on and off.
The hotel offered a discounted price, which was reasonable. This fact made our stay worth being there.

One night stay. Room was OK. Bath tub was not clean and was very slick. I almost fell in the tub when stepping in, thankfully there was a handle to hold on too. The hotel is being remodeled. The breakfast is a joke, some bread and cornflakes with milk. Scrambled eggs and mystery meat sausage. Exercise room is not as pictured - No dumbbell weights and some cardio machines crammed into a room. On a positive note the night desk person was friendly and helpful. Location was good for an overnight stay.

The property was undergoing construction that was very loud and we were not made aware of this prior to our stay. When we arrived, there were jackhammers hammering up the lobby floor that was very loud and I could barely hear the front desk clerk ( she was very nice). Then we arrived in our room to find that the tv nor internet worked and never worked during our stay. The bathroom was not thoroughly cleaned.

My email to the owner
I am requesting a full refund for my stay. We came in late on Sunday night tired from a long dive. After waking up the next morning I noticed a disgusting stain on the sheets where my son was sleeping, dirts around the premier of the rooms and an old dried dirty towel in the bathroom; I am assumed from the last guest. I am aware your hotel is under renovations however these issues are unacceptable.

WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!
We stayed for one night and despite calling multiple times to see if early check-in was available, no one bothered to even call us at check-in time (3pm) to tell us our room was finally available! I almost fell twice in the lobby since they are redoing the tiles and the surface was horribly uneven and NO SIGNS WERE POSTED FOR CAUTION! The bthroomwas filthy amd our sink barely drained requiring about 20 minutes to fully drain a full sink load. There was no microwave in the room as advertised only 1 in the lobby & the mini-fridge was full of ice! There was no ice maker anywhwere in the hotel according to front desk staff. The waffle maker was broken on the breakfast bar and offerings were very minimal. The pool was closed due to construction despite not being anywhwre near the areas being worked on or prenotification before we kade reservations. When we complained to management we were offered no compensation or even a sorry! I was told they will be a Mariott once the renovations are complete however they have a LOT of work to do if they expect to get up to higher standards much less justify higher prices!

Aside from the property being under construction and us not being notified prior, the entire property was worth all of $50. The breakfast? Poor quality, presentation and cheap foam dishware. The setup? Less than professional even under these conditions. My shower? Dirty and sprinkled with pubic hair. And the one washcloth I was provided had hair in it. The gym was small, to say the least. It would make sense to simply not offer one. The property is well aware that it is less than desirable and so I'm confident that's why there's an offering of a free breakfast and constant happy hours at the bar. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this location to anyone until renovations have been concluded. Not having adequate washcloths (the ladies in front of me were asked to just use towels) is absolutely insane. The welcome paper was also riddled with typos, down to the GM's name being misspelled. This hotel needs to sit down with leaders from each department and reevaluate the logistics of how to run during renovations.
