We enjoy staying at the Residence Inn when we are visiting Miramar Beach and are glad to see they are currently renovating the entire hotel.

Property was being renovated, which is fine, except that we were placed in a room next to their outdoor work area and under a room they were working on. Also, due to renovations, breakfast was poor. In the past it has been very good. I love this property from past visits, just wish we would have been notified that the renovations were ongoing and that the quality of stay would suffer.

I was a little concerned because it is under renovation, so is a little noisy. But, management was excepcional on customer service. Definitely they care more about customer satisfaction than the money itself.

Under remodeling
So much hammer noise in the room above my room! So uncomfortable. I was going to stay longer and the consequences noise was so bad i decided not to. The apple juice in the improvised breakfast room is gross.

The stay was great and the staff very friendly and helpful. The only negative comment would be we were there during some renovations, so you did hear some hammering, but the staff was well adapted to the changes and provided good service. I would stay again.

I wish I had been told before I booked that they were going under a reconstruction. I worked from my room and for 3 days all I heard was banging. The room right next to mine was completely destructed - the worker apologized but it didnt stop him from letting the door slam behind him literally 20 times. I just wish I would have known and I would have booked elsewhere. The staff was very friendly though.

Hotel was nice. Rooms were very large. Everything was reasonably clean and the staff was friendly. The area was very nice and felt safe. The hotel is in need of a little updating, but nothing major. Overall, it was a nice experience.

The rooms and hallway smell terrible. The door to the bathroom was falling off the hinges and wouldn't shut properly. The drain in the shower was clogged and filled up with water while we showered. The hotel just needs some upkeep.

The in room air conditioning unit was extremely loud to the point where we didn’t get a good night sleep. The bathroom was too small and when we took a shower so much water got on the floor.

Great Weekend Getaway
Very enjoyable stay with great people at the front desk.
The hotel was in a great location, close enough to get everywhere you wanted to be, but far enough away to not be burdened with road noise.

Upon arrival, I had to wait 35 minutes because the person was on the phone and another person waiting to get packages from the mail
This place looked like a motel on the side of the road
It looks neglected and filthy
The hallway smell, the carpet filthy with stains all over
People sitting on the floor along the walkway and others hanging around out loud
Upon open the door, the room smells it was water on the ground by the refrigerator kitchen looks from the 70s
Stove had a timer
The carpet filthy
The room completely old air condition on the wall look like I have not been cleaned
The light in the bathroom could barely see anything
When you went to ask for dishes, they only had two forks, two small bowls, 2 cups and two plates, two spoons, and one small cooking pot
The room above me whoever was jumping up and down
Wi-Fi did not work and the TV did not work either!!!
And the phone !!
UNREAL!!!!!!
This was the worst ever ever extremely disappointed

While the staff was nice the hotel is very dated and needs fixing. For the price there were things that could be improved. The bathroom door didn’t close and our main door lock got stuck. Also the shower water didn’t turn off completely and the AC is super loud. The location is good for shopping and beaches.

We had a 2BD suite and there were some type of small black bugs in the kitchen and on floor tile. Neither BD had any issues.
We’ve stayed here before and it just seems like more attention to cleaning is needed overall.

The hotel was super clean. Room excellent with a fireplace.

We had a few glitches on this trip and ended up choosing The Residence at Marriott as our solution. The staff was kind and helpful and made what we thought might a disasterous week a wonderful, quiet, clean peaceful stay. Good value, overwhelming smells
The hotel overall was a nice stay. The room was spacious. We enjoyed the hot tub and pool. We also used the laundry room and it was very modern and clean.
The air freshener used in the common areas is terrible and very overwhelming.
On top of the terrible air freshener our room had a horrible smell. The front desk gentleman allowed us to switch rooms and the next room was a world of difference.
Even with the overwhelming smells I'd stay here again, it was a great value, just lay off the chemical fake air freshener.

Comfortable bed. Liked the tv on swivel so we could watch it from different parts of the room. Kitchen glasses were clean. Hallway smelled because door to exit stairs nearby was very humid - whatever spray cleaner used didn’t make it better, just smelled like it was covering up old carpet smell.
Breakfast was good.

It was so clean and comfortable. Just what I needed to relax. It was cozy. Shops and restaurants are down the street within walking distance. A farmers market is in the middle of all the shops every Tuesday and Saturday.

Very friendly and professional staff, probably the best complimentary breakfast I've ever had at a hotel, and our room was clean with no random hairs in the bed like I find at most hotels when we first check-in. Also located within walking distance to a very nice shopping center with lots of things to do.

Great location within walking distance of restaurants and shopping. hotel was clean and well maintained. Bed and pillows were not my favorite but probably more personal preference than a problem. Only issue is the hotel is dog friendly which isn't an issue until pet owners leave their dogs in the room all day and they bark the whole time. Good breakfast options and friendly staff.

Our room was great with the small kitchen, living area, large TV and spacious bathroom. It would've been nice to have brighter lighting for reading though. Our room only had one window and looked out on two walls and a huge AC unit; it would've been great to have a better view, but we liked being on the ground floor.

Lovely stay- quiet, yet convenient and close to everything. Great for famalies ( with small kids); but also great for couples. While we loved the area, it may be too slow for teens. Love that is pet friendly- and even with this- you cant tell that pets are even on the property unless you see them. This will be our go to spot for Destin from now on

Although this property is older, it was well maintained and clean. Everywhere you walked, someone was pressure cleaning the walkways, making repairs and cleaning.
Extremely convenient to shops and restaurants. Within walking distance. Staff friendly and efficient. A full breakfast was appreciated, along with the accommodating and friendly breakfast staff member ready to provide for your every request. Will return!

The hotel was conveniently located, as we were visiting family in that area. There are also plenty of restaurants and shopping nearby. We found our suite clean and the bed acceptable for someone with back issues. Check in was a breeze with very friendly staff.

Very clean, friendly staff, good breakfast choices, and walking distance to upscale restaurants, and shopping.
I was uncomfortable being asked for a 20 dollar charge for each day I stay to be charged to my credit card at check in. I stayed 3 days so $60.00 was charged on my credit card for incidentals I might want. I’m still waiting for the 60 dollar charge on my credit card to be taken off as no incidentals were purchased during my stay. Overall I had a very pleasant getaway.

Perfect area being next to Sandestin with many restaurant choices around the hotel. We enjoyed our stay being able to bring our pets. Our two bedroom was clean and spacious. I was happy to see when we got there that there were two bathrooms, a stove, full sized refrigerator, and dishes in our room.

Very friendly staff and the property is located near shops and restaurants. What we did not like was the painting of the property during our stay. It was noisy near our room and the windows were covered, so we did not get an outside view of anything.

The property is old had a smell soon as you leave out of the lobby you can smell like mildew. The room was not up to standard . I booked two nights but I cancelled the second night .

Highly recommend it. Great location, friendly staff and courteous service. Pet friendly yet very clean, someone who has no pets may not even notice it. Room was comfortable.
