They had some of the friendliest staff members I have ever met. Franky, our bartender was super awesome and friendly. He was great at recommending different sites and restaurants that you may not normally visit on a trip to Las Vegas. The only minor issue we had was how much outside noise could be heard from the room.

Hidden behind the Tropicana is this spectacular gem of a hotel. Despite being just two blocks off the strip, the Desert Rose is remarkably quiet. All of the guest quarters include a full kitchen, living room, and walk out deck. Walk to the big casinos or take a quick ride to attractions a bit further up the strip. We will absolutely stay here again!

Not worth the price
My stay was a sum of all the bad reviews. Pushy sales from the concierge, the room was not ready when we got to it, a maid came in our room before check out time, the room had an odor and was outdated, etc.

Great stay

So helpful
My son got food posioning after eating at another resturant. The staff was there to help and even called an hour later to check on him. Since check out was the next day, they told us that we could check out later to help. I highly recommend Desert Rose to stay. Will stay here again.

Great Xmas Holiday
Very clean! Great service the front desk people are awesome. Room had all the plates cups and utensils including frying pan. Very convenient for breakfasts and even has outdoor BBQ. Pool is heated and open year round. Very close to the oyo and MGM Grand

I am a frequent visitor to Las Vegas. I have always stayed on the strip at the big name resorts. This trip I decided to try the Desert Rose. Since I was bringing the whole family. I wanted to be in a place with the convenience of being close to the strip. But also wanted the more quiet atmosphere away from the hustle and bustle of the big name resorts. The staff was friendly and professional, the price was right, the room and property exceeded my expectations. Was nice to have the balcony and just be able to relax and enjoy ourselves after the long days of walking and seeing all the sights and sounds. The teenagers wouldve been happy to just stay at the room. They found it as comfortable as home. After 5 nights at the Desert Rose I have my mind set on making it the only place I will stay in future visits to Las Vegas. Will also be recommending the Desert Rose to any friends or family planning on a trip to Las Vegas. Thank you we had a great time.

Paper thin walls
You can hear everything. Laundry dryers were broken. Washers were okay. Dryers did not heat up. Had to go to a nearby laundry to dry my clothes. Elevator was out of order. And there was this other female that was trying to sell us some type of hotel package. Very very annoying........ this place sucks

My trip was amazing the room was affordable clean and in a great location the staff was courteous and welcoming answering every question I had this was one of the best trips to Vegas ever will definitely be back to the Desert Rose Resort

This property had the WORSE customer service and customer support! I would not advise anyone who wants a nice trip in Vegas too stay here they will ruin it! They try to scam you into cheaper tickets and fail to tell you everything you must do to get these tickets touring other properties and listen too a presentation (waste your vacation time).

The staff is friendly, and the room is cozy. The kitchen is very convenient for the family. The only thing that is not so good is the room we have next to Reno ave. and it was noisy.

Glad we stayed here!
Overall it was a good stay! Clean, comfortable, and off the strip away from the hubbub, but not too far.
My only complaint t was that the toilet/shower room was super small, but the sink area was very nice! It had plenty of counter space instead of two sinks- which is a bonus in my book!

We chose the property for the location to the strip and the Raiders stadium. Very walkable! The hotel lobby was very clean and inviting. I was excited and surprised to see the pool and hot tub open! Rooms were clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly!

Stayed at the Desert Rose for two nights, 1 bedroom suite on first floor. Suite was large, quiet, clean, full kitchen. Furnishings were nothing to write home about but bed was comfortable. Had a small patio that looked out to a wall, so no view to speak of. Bathroom was rather small, one vanity sink and no separate shower, just a tub and toilet. Stayed there primarily for walking access to Allegient Stadium, which was about a 30 - 40 minute walk (take the free tram to Mandalay Bay to save time). No coffee bar and the pool area looked pretty small. Parking was free and very convenient. We checked in late so were able to avoid the dreaded Time Share pitch. Front desk staff were very nice.

This was a very nice vacation villa that we stayed in. The rooms were nicely appointed and appear to be recently updated. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen had the nicest appliances and kitchen utensils of any of the condos or villas that we have previously stayed in in Vegas. We would definitely stay here again.

Great Location with plenty of room
This places location was great about 3 blocks off the strip,and parking was free and plentiful.
Looks like this use to be a condo complex at one time. Had plenty of room. Would be an idea space for families. I would give the cleanliness a 7 out of 10 considering today's work ethic. The actual bathroom area with the toilet and tub could be about 3 feet bigger, but the sink and vanity area are spacious and have great lighting for getting ready and putting on your makeup. We rented a car and access to everything was super easy from here. Avoid the people to the left once you check-in they want to sell you on time share or something. Reading the reviews prior to selecting them, I was aware of this and got into my car before they corralled me. I would definitely stay here again, but would make sure to do a once over on everything first. I kind of really like things clean and organized.

Property is clean and convenient. I wish that there’s better system when taking an order from the guest that should be documented. We requested for an Uber for a specific time but the staff doesn’t know if request has been done or not we end up calling and waited for more minutes. We are glad that we just made on time for our bus tour on that specific date.

The room was ok, but it's an older property, dated inside, and one of the rooms smelled of smoke, the other didn't have very warm water in the shower. The hallways to the rooms are very dark and unpleasant. No idea how this place is rated so well. We will not stay there again, and can't recommend.

We had a two bedroom suite. The first night was rough. We were near some people partying and an access door. I know its Vegas, but the door slammed constantly below us. Staff was super accomodating and we were moved to the third floor of building three and had a much more quiet stay. Hotel was in walking distance of the strip which made it super convenient. Would definitely stay again!

Staff was very friendly- every single staff member we crossed paths with! Property and rooms were clean and comfortable. Pool is heated.
My only complaint, since our room was poolside, was how loud the pool gates slammed (very frequently) waking me out of sleep (jumping). If they could slow the gate from slamming, it would be helpful!

Pleasant Stay Near the Strip
Stay was pleasant, gym was adequate for my short stay. Only real issue was street lights in my B/R shining through the window with no real block out curtains, otherwise a very nice place.

This year our preferred room was not available so we were upgraded to a 2 bed suite which was fabulous and is now our favourite room! We love the Desert Rose, it is clean, roomy, quiet and the staff are great. A great big thanks to the wonderful Jayden & Anushka who avoided a disaster for our autistic daughter with an upgrade and made our stay fantastic.

The staff were fantastic. Walking distance to MGM and the monorail. There's some damage to walls and doors in the room. The washing machine needed to be cleaned where you put the detergent in quite badly.

We always stay at Desert Rose, the suites have full kitchens and balconies. This year our preferred room was not available so we were upgraded to a 2 bed suite which was fabulous and is now our favourite room! We love the Desert Rose, it is clean, roomy, quiet and the staff are great.

It was Nice.
Its was great at arrival. Staff was friendly and courteous. Condo was clean, compfy beds, good pillows,. But lots of little beetles while we stayed. Elevator broke. Not the best walk to the strip or even the oyo. Dark parking lot to walk through at night. Walking to the Tropicanna is rough as well. Dark at night, big bushes not trimmed. Busy Road.
While checking out the friendly people were not present. I felt no longer welcome as soon at the clock struck 10am checkout time.

This was a great stay. The bed was comfy and the area was quiet. It's was easy to get to the MGM monorail from there. The kitchen was well stocked.
If I had notes it would be that the toilet room is much too cramped. My brother didn't love the hide a bed mattress. It was lumpy. Other than that we were completely pleased!

Was moved three times on a two night stay. The first room reeked of cigarette smoke. The second room was also given to another guest while we were in there. They opened our door while we were in the room. Luckily the latch was in place. Then the lock wasn’t working so we kept getting locked out, we had to go get new keys multiple times, so we were moved again. We had to wait for maintenance to come open the door so we could get our things out. It was a nightmare. Not once did a manager reach out to apologize.

Prefer a non-handicapped room
The Desert Rose Resort is spectacular! The rooms are always clean and the pool is an oasis. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful.
However, we were put into a handicapped room, without requesting one so there was only a handicapped shower with a bench which was difficult to use as a non-handicapped person, there was also no place to put any toiletries in the bathroom, very frustrating. And unfortunately the towel rack and toilet paper holder kept falling off the wall. I did report these items to staff.
Sadly, the people above us on the last night woke us out of a dead sleep with yelling and constant stamping. I called the front desk and they quieted down.
Despite these challenges, I enjoy staying at the Deser Rose Resort and would stay here again.

Beware of timeshare presentation!
We were in town for a concert at House of Blues, so the Desert Rose was a conveniently located option off the strip. I did not like that the timeshare presentation was being posed as a “welcome package” after checkin. Because we read reviews prior to our stay, we were prepared to deny to presentation. But I did not appreciate that we were told that it was a mandatory part of the check-in process. The room was clean and spacious, and the full kitchen was very nice to have. I would recommend this hotel, with the fore-warning to avoid the timeshare scheme.

What's Up With the TV
The room was very nice and very accommodating. However, due to some sort of issue with COX we were without TV service during our stay. First we were told it was due to windy weather, which wasn't true. Then after a couple calls we were told "lots of hotels in Vegas where without TV service, due to a part that had to be ordered???" Aside from that, it was a nice place to stay.

All the staff were super friendly. We found a short cut from the resort to the MGM parking garage that got us out of the hot sun faster than walking straight up Tropicana to the Strip. We got to do the Wyndham timeshare spiel the first day, and snagged 2 tickets for the HighRoller, and a free 7 night stay at a resort of my choice. The Desert Rose is on the list of many to choose from in Vegas. I will be back for sure

This property is fantastic. The front desk staff are very friendly and helpful. The location is perfect… Just five minutes off the strip. More relaxing than the strip and yet close enough that you can walk to the fun. The suites are fully stocked with kitchen essentials and lots of space. The pool and deck area are great and have the only recycle bin on the property. The hot tub was nice, but the air jets tend to splash and sputter.
