The person working at check in had to be on drugs. Eyes half shut, couldn't keep things straight and didn't activate our room keys. She looked pretty bad. The rest of staff that we saw looked pretty ruff too. I don't recommend this hotel unless they improve their staff. We really didn't feel that safe or comfortable in there.

Slipping a little, but still a good value
Have chosen Holiday Inn for decades, so we have a longstanding reference. Front desk staff were personable and efficient. Service was excellent. Cleanliness was excellent. Linens provided were bare bones. Small towels of only fair quality. Bed comfort and pillows were good. Breakfast had a nice variety but the sausages are tasteless.

One night stay
The hotel is great and I have stayed there before with no issues at all. This time, the smell of pot hit me in the face getting off the elevator. I didn't know where it was coming from and I should have gotten right back on the elevator and gotten a different room on a different floor. But I was really tired and hoped the smell would not be in the room. It was better but I could still smell it in the room but not as bad. It eventually dissipated in the late evening and I was able to sleep. In the morning it was back. I am certainly not anti pot for those who choose to do so. But it is pungent and certain types worse than others. If people need pot for some reason, it's too bad they can't use the smoking section outside. I will move for sure in the future.

We waited 10 minutes at checkin because no one was there. No sign stating that the person was on break. We could hear people talking and some coughing and we called out hello then eventually someone came out from behind the wall and said she’ll get someone. Took a few more minutes then the receptionist came out. No extra bedding for the pull-out couch was offered.

We stayed at Holiday Inn in Winchester on our way to Tennessee. The check in was quick, the room was nice and clean. The had an indoor pool and hot tub which helped us to refresh ourselves after 5 hours of driving from NJ. We did not like the fact that there were only 3 towels in the bathroom while we booked room for 4 adults and 2 child. When we tried to call front desk no one picked up the phone. We called Holiday Inn customer service who got us in touch with desk staff. They said they did not have enough towels which I think was not satisfactory. She actually went and got us towels from another unoccupied room however I think the management should know how inconvenient this would be to guests. The breakfast was good to start our day. The beds were really comfortable. Overall the stay was pleasant.

AC was set not to go below a certain temp (68) when it was hot and humid. Only the manager could change it, and they were not onsite. Other guests complained at the same time as us. The person at desk did her best and gave us a fan which helped.

We we’re out on the side where the off ramp is. Probably 40 yards from the hotel. Very noisy. This is one of those HIE that is showing it’s wear. Breakfast was good back on the road.

Nothing unique about this place. My rooms bathroom toilet seat was not attached to the toilet. The TV was old and slow. The beds were the most firm beds I've ever slept.

The staff here was incredibly friendly and helpful. The breakfast was hot and fresh, and offered many options.
I did find it inconvenient, however, that the lighting in the rooms was very dim.

The beds were terrible. By the second morning, I was in a lot of pain with my lower back and hips. Also, the shower curtain was about 6 inches too long, and dragged well onto the tub/shower floor. I could envision other people with their athlete's foot and toenail fungus standing on that curtain and transmitting germs. I'm betting the curtain was not cleaned every time, and it was unhygienic.

We Lovett the breakfast, the jet tub and the pool, the room size was good, the staff at the hotel was amazing, but they need to clean underneath the furniture, vacuuming corners, was a lot of food on the room carpet when we came in, the pool floor was dirty, it is most of a better cleaning, more details cleaning. The overview was really good hotel. We enjoy our time there.

Continental breakfast was great! Service was good, the pool area seemed a little dirty and the walls are thin, making it easy to hear others... This hotel is located near highway intersections which makes it noisy and difficult to sleep.

Check in Was simple and easy. However when my family went tonuse the pool and hot tub we found them dirty and what looked like someone had S3x in the pool. We told the front desk and she wasnt surprised at all. We had a 2 queen bed suite the room was very small for a suite and when my neohews pulled back the blankets there was what looked like either a chocolate stain or fecal matter on the blankets and sheets. Again went to the front desk and she gave us a full set of sheets and a blanket...no apology nothing....i have stayed at many hiloliday inns and this was beyond disgusting if i didnt have my children with me i would rather have slept in my car. I expected at least clean beds for $150 a night.

Staff and ( other than powdered eggs ) breakfast were great. Facilities were very outdated, loose and crumbling concrete in hotub. Loud rude construction workers filled the property and Winchester which once was a nice town to visit is now NOT.

Never disappoints
Front desk associates are always friendly, helpful and take the extra step. Room attendants are always cordial and ready with anything one may need. Breakfast people are always helpful and make sure trays are full.
Swimming pool was a little too cold for me. Hot tub was a little too hot and needed someone to check levels a little more often.
I've stayed here many times and will continue.

This was ok for a Holiday Inn Xpress. The TV in the room was pretty small with no notice for channel selections and nothing available on the remotes. The AC system didn't really work properly but by constantly changing it - it was OK. The property looks very good and the breakfast area is very nice.

Property was fine, Breakfast was fine. Staff friendly and fine. 3rd Floor hallway AC unit very noisy. Room was mostly fine with the exception of the mini-fridge, which when opened, still contained the previous guest's food (not sure how long it has been there.) Shower could have better pressure, bathroom wallpaper probably needs replacing.

The ice machine and pancake maker was not working, when I went to shower I forgot shampoo, the complimentary shampoo and body wash dispenser in the shower was empty. The employees were friendly,please never end the cinamon rolls!

Good hotel and service
I stayed in the king suite and it was sufficiently spacious with a working fridge, microwave, and sink for washing up. This is not a luxury hotel -- it's a little worn around the edges but they delivered everything that was promised, plus a few small touches like disposable bowls, utensils, and dish detergent in the room. No animal hair on the sofa or anything like that. I was quite satisfied for a hotel in this class.
The ladies at the front desk were very nice and helpful, the staff was great. A couple negatives: the desk chair was broken and would not raise up, the water pressure and hot water dropped off for a minute or two while I was taking a shower on the second night. There were some bikers who were staying there and they were riding their Harleys around in the evenings around 8pm and once at 5:30am which was kind of noisy. Also, there is an Arby's drive-thru next door and occasionally there would be engine noise from someone driving off in a V8 with their Half Pound Beef 'N Cheddar Meal. This is not the hotels fault, though.

I found items from the last guests in the fridge and cabinets which made me want to check how well they actually cleaned everywhere, the beds are super firm, the water pressure sucks and when I asked for more towels (we were given three and there were six of us) we were asked “really?” Then told to bring the dirty ones down and
exchange them. Besides that the pool, work out room and free breakfast was all very good along with the customer service besides the towel lady

I arrived at check in seemed staff not sure my room was available. It was found, but was put in dirty room with lick on door broken. Didn't feel safe. 1 hour before check out, key would not open my door? Bath tub had some type of powder residue. Had yo clean out tub before bath. Found urine or stain on bed sheet. Very disgusting.
Would like my stay refunded.

Entrance was not well marked. The hotel was very short staffed. Sheets were not clean and carpet was not vacuumed when we got there. Night staff did her best to resolve the issues and they did compensate but clean sheets are definitely a requirement in the hotel industry. I feel the biggest problem is the shortage in staff. Everyone working there was very pleasant and tried to do their best.

My husband left his ipad in his room when we checked out. The hotel manager called me right away and let me know about this. At our request, she even FedExed it to him so he had to go without it only for a day. What a caring staff and management. I'm impressed beyond words.

We aren’t sure if our room was actually cleaned. The floor had candy wrappers, the tub had hair, the bath was missing towels and there was a used bath cloth hanging on the shower rod. The public areas were nice and no complaints.
