some things were good
floors were very sticky with some kind of residue so much so I had to wash our slippers when we came home.
Many parking spaces are way too small for a van. The smaller spaces should be marked "compact car only"
the checkin clerk was great and the breakfast was good.

Ideally located on the other side of the bridge from Historic Downtown Charleston. Quiet area and near shopping. The room was nicely decorated but the hallway carpet in the common area smelled musty. Staff friendly.

This was the worst property I've even stayed in. The room was dirty, things were broken and the staff did not care. I only stayed one of the two nights and then got the hell out of there. Don't ever stay here

Great stay!!
Great location, clean, spacious and overall a great hotel. We went Monday to Thursday and it was very quiet. Convenient location to everything !! Staff was very friendly. I would recommend staying here to everyone.

Our room was quite dirty and the front desk staff was unhelpful and quite rude. So much so that after check in-we promptly left to secure another hotel nearby, checked out, and left. We will certainly not be staying at BW Patriot's Point again and will advise others to avoid it as well.

This was an older property, but well kept. My biggest complaint is that there were two full size beds, instead of queens. Didn’t make for a very comfortable night’s sleep.

The room was small and smelled like stale cigarettes. The toilet leaked and ran all night. Coffee machine was broken. Uncomfortable atmosphere. Dead bug in the bed.

Would not stay here.
First room we had, smelled like someone had peed in the room. request a room chance because the pee smell was so bad and got moved to a room that had smelled like chemicals were dumped all over the room. Saturday morning of our stay, there was a police raid happening at the hotel. front desk people were no help and acted confused about everything. I would not tell my friends or family to stay there.

The staff were friendly and helpful! The hotel was conveniently located to all the places we were visiting. Generally speaking though, the property could have used some renovation which would have given it a cleaner aesthetic, and mattress covers would have been nice but the sheets were clean. The hard floors were much nicer than the typical hotel carpet.

The pool was a little green but from owning a pool i know that happens sometimes. But overall super great stay. Made my daughter feel very welcomed and excited to stay at the hotel especially with the delicious complimentary cookies!

Our stay was alright. The last day we were there we had some bugs by the window and on the window seat. We were a little bit disappointed with the pool. Though the pool boy was cleaning it, it was brown around the edges. We had an issue with our bathroom and the staff was quick to respond. The staff was friendly. The biscuits were a little moldy.

Aged property maintained fairly well. Needed to cancel 3rd night which i stated at check in, and followed up with the same info on Saturday,which was not processed.
When checking out, I was told they could make the change because of Expedia.
Should add security lights jn parking lot. There were people hanging out late in the evening in the fringe of the parking area which was a bit alarming

I have to really commend the person at the front desk when we checked in. He was amazing. We got there early after traveling through the night and he was very helpful and let us check in early. Cannot thank him enough. The rest of the staff was solid as well, but he went above and beyond. The breakfast was not great and the room was fine. Good value.

There was an issue with the shower curtain being so high that water soaked the floor. Didn’t impact our stay but we let the front desk know so hopefully they don’t lose the flooring.

Front desk staff very friendly and accommodating. Clean room and common areas. Pool could use some maintenance and we did see some folks that were not staying in the hotel drive up to use the pool. It is not secured from the public but it did have a safety gate. Breakfast was good although the dining area was very small and we were all cheek to cheek. Overall a very nice and comfortable stay.

Great price and location. Updated rooms. Slight odor because of mildew from being close to the water & humidity. They did not take dirty towels unless we added them to a pile in the hall. They did not replace with clean towels unless we called the desk. Removing garbage was hit or miss also.

Needs some serious attention
Looks like very little is done to upkeep the place. Poor cleaning service. Over all needs to be serviced and cleaned up and got mold and water leaking problems, poor sinks drainage.

When we arrived the hotel had my reservation but no open rooms. We were taken to the Hampton inn next door and told the best western would take care of the cost. They then charged me for the room anyway the next day! I called and they refused refund stating they got us another room even though I was told it would be free.

Great location with nice clean rooms
Danny was very helpful as he added a 3rd night to our stay and we did not have to change rooms. Room was clean and very comfortable. Was very close to lots of yummy restaurant choices. Breakfast every morning was very good. Rooms decently priced!!!!

We loved the guy at the front desk, he was very kind, helpful, and my kids loved the cookies he had. We did not like that we reserved a 2 queen suite and those beds were definitely not queens. They were fulls, that was frustrating. But over all it’s a great hotel for families.

I arrived and was told there was no room booked under my name. I showed my Expedia confirmation email, and was still told sorry there was no room for me. He tried to offer me a King bed room for 3 adults. He then tried to make a call yet it was MY phone so I know he had the reservation. I had to get ugly and force him to finally find my reservation. Something was extremely sketchy about this situation. He even said he finally found it under my first name. I’ve used Expedia for years and have never had a problem. This was awful. And on top of it, this hotel is a dump. Pics on Expedia do not represent what this hotel is. So disappointed in this Father’s Day present.

The hotel was immaculate and comfortable. They were installing new locksets in each room, so there were crews working during the stay. The staff was helpful and cheerful. The breakfast offered included waffles, eggs, sausage, yogurt, cereal, coffee, and juice. The location was convenient to Charleston just across the bridge.

They did let us check in an hour early. The breakfast was pretty good. but our room was right next to it and it got loud sometimes. The room seemed clean but had a musty smell. the whole first floor did. The ice machine was on the 2nd and 3rd floors. I was on the first. For a remodeled hotel they had a lot of poor work. (holes in walls not fixed, a/c need cleaned out. The water spicket in the shower almost came out the wall and the mirror over the desk was missing or never there.)

Manager was extremely nice and friendly. He baked cookies every afternoon for the guests. All the staff were very nice. Hotel was very clean. The salt water aquarium in the lobby was a nice touch. Free breakfast everyday was very welcome. Will definitely stay again!

It was a quick stop for me, the hotel was clean but I didn't walk around so just my room and breakfast area. My room was clean, bed was comfortable, good amount of pillows 😁 but the bathroom setup was weird and the toilet was badly planned, they definitely need to fix that. Toilet didn't flush well either. I don't know if they refill shampoo and conditioner bottles I certainly hope not but my conditioner bottle had a drop in it and it was empty 😥 Breakfast was a little boring but I guess better than nothing.

I came down for a wedding over the weekend 2 day stay checked in Friday after noon and also had a nap it was aorund 8pm im laying in my hotel bed and i see something crawling they had checked me into a room with 5 fleas in the bedroom and they did not do anything to make it right for me I was assured of a discount during my first night but still paid full price for my stay

Started calling a week before check in to get an early check in and was told I could but to call back the morning of. Called at 4am, told to call back at 7am, called back told to call back at 11am. At 11am I’m told 45 min.. got checked in at 2:45pm. Zero customer service. Even when talking with employees they just seem numb to the customers.

The property was close to historic Charleston and other beautiful tourist location. It was affordable and the room was clean and staff was accomodating.
