Mediocre location with a terrible front desk staff
The front desk staff was a bit curt and rude when we had any questions for them. Overall they did not seem interested in their job. The key to the room did not work on the first go and we had to request to reprogram it and got a lecture on how to now put card next to cell phone (which we did not). Overall not good customer service.

The worst
The worst. This so called hotel doesn’t have minimum standards of a hotel and should get closed. Beyond dirty. Intolerable smell. Mold smell. It was dust and mold smell and I could hardly breathe. Clogged bath tubs. No door locks. Unsafe area. Constant sirens that could not sleep. Staff were friendly but that is not enough for sure.

Always a good stay for me
As always I enjoyed my stay here. Although it’s a bit noisy outside it’s one of the three hotels I stay at when I have to visit Dana Farber for appointments. Staff is friendly including the security officer.

people & security very nice. Security guard called a cab, apparently front desk staff was too busy. Noone knew area or destinations very well. Surrounding area unsafe. lots of homeless, soliticers, beggars. However, staff was very polite, most people were friendly. clean, asked for towels got them.

Property is a fairly standard Hampton Inn. We chose it because it is located fairly close to the MFA. Room was clean, all appliances worked, mattress was firm as we like. Breakfast was excellent. Staff worked hard to keep the buffet well-supplied. Easily a $20 benefit. Room 915 faced a major traffic artery and even up on the top floor, traffic noise was still inescapable. And having a hospital next door meant that ambulance sirens at all hours was a significant sleep interruption. Will we stay there again? Yes, if the price is right.

Our stay was wonderful at this hotel. Hot breakfast every morning, waffle bar and comfy beds. We had two issues while staying here: We asked for our room to be cleaned one day, we came back after a long day to find it had not been cleaned. This hotel is near a hospital! It wasnt that big of a deal for us but if you are looking to stay closer to downtown, we walked almsot everywhere and it took a little more than 45 minutes to walk downtown. Other than that, 8/10 stay, we would stay here again.

Met our needs
Staff were friendly and accommodating. The parking fee wasn’t discussed when we checked in so we ended up paying way too much for parking. The room was clean but the office chair had a huge stain on the seat. The carpet didn’t look like it had been vacuumed well.

Nice hotel in South Boston
This was a nice hotel but not in the best location/neighborhood. Good hotel if you aren’t looking to walk around much and have transportation or access to ride share. The room was clean with a large tv and bed, and there was a nice desk to use if needed. We loved the free cookies as well as the hot cocoa/coffee/tea available 24-7. There were also some drinks and snacks available for purchase at the front desk.

This place was cheap and honestly close enough to the center of Boston. My company could have used public transportation if needed but sadly the area around the hotel does not feel as safe to warrant that so we mostly used Ubers/Lyfts. I really appreciated the staff though, they were kind and offered water bottles (not charging us at all). Room was clean but sometimes at night would get noisy due to traffic/ only during rush however. Great place! Would use again if cheapest option!

Not the best section of the city
There were a number of things that were not to our liking, but honestly, some of that is on me. First the things that can be helped. Our bathroom sink wasn't draining. If you ran the water at near a trickle, you could make it work. Did we have a handicap room? I don't know. But I can tell you the shower was a nightmare to work. If every room has this setup..bad choice. Parking is in a garage across the street from the hotel. I was in town for a several days for a medical procedure. I learned from one of my caregivers that many of the staff park at this garage and shuttle to work. That said, in the morning the traffic IN THE GARAGE was crazy. We never had a problem getting a spot as the hotel as many dedicated to their customers. What was an issue was the validated ticket that we received. Customers prepay $25 per night of their stay. The validation is supposed to give the customer the ability to come and go. For us, it worked the first time, but not the second or third. We had to buzz the attendant to assist us with our exit. The room was fine, the King bed was very comfortable, the mini-fridge and microwave are must haves form my wife. But the location!! If you know anything about Boston, the Mass-Cass section is not where you want to be. The noise at night made it near impossible for a patient in the middle of treatment to get the sleep he needed. I should have known better..that's on me. If you're in a similar situation, do yourself a favor and check other options.

All things out of the hotels control: The hotel was in an extremely busy and loud area. All day and night you can hear commotion from the street, whether it be ambulance zipping by, police sirens, and construction. The parking structure allotted for the hotel is infested with rats, I saw at least 5 during my time here and could see them crawling into the cars that were parked.

A 3 star facility in a 1 star location. Next to a hospital so sirens were heard, near a Latin restaurant si loud music was heard in a 2nd flr room, security concerns are evident by having to use your room key to access the elevator. Area around the Hotel is not great, I'm from NYC, I can't say it was terrible but even the garage across the street had panic buttons at every floor. Nice city but avoid this hotel I counted 3 Public Housing locations nearby and there was more police presense and sirens than I experienced anywhere else in Boston. We just did not know any of this when we booked.

The hotel itself was okay. You can tell it needs some work and they’re currently renovating certain things.The staff was really nice. The main issue is the noise! So much noise all throughout the night, my boyfriend and I did not sleep at all the first night of our stay. Sirens, ambulances, you name it and we heard it. I’m not sure why the windows are so thin in this hotel.

The location is terrible, and the parking is off site in a sketchy area. Bring mace. Parking was extremely confusing and not direct. It’s also not included in your stay, nor is valet service offered. The carpet throughout the hotel is similar to a movie theaters after years of food and drinks being dumped on it. Upon entering my room, I was assaulted with a pungent and foul smell from the dirty, musty room. Just a casual bm left in the toilet. But “housekeeping checked in on it after I left and it looked fine”. LOL. The lock on the inside of my door did not lock, and you are 2 minutes away from methadone mile. Checked out 5 minutes later. Manager is refusing to refund me. Will be contacting BBB for a resolution.

We were very pleased with hotel and staff. The shuttle bus drivers were very good. The surrounding area around the hotel had homeless encampments. There was shouting,screaming, and sirens all night long. Our room was located on the medical building side, however we could still here the noises. I know this is beyond your control. I know you all probably dislike it also. So unfortunate that the city does nothing about. Thank You for a very comfortable stay.

Would never stay here again or recommend
First I want to give positive credit to the people who were helpful and kind during our stay--Ace, the security guard; Sudi, the shuttle driver; and the people who worked in the breakfast kitchen. We stayed there 4 nights. Front desk person was not friendly upon arrival and on other days as well; room not ready upon arrival, which is understandable, however, front desk said they would text when room was ready--never happened. AC/heat worked first night but went out during the night. Reported first thing the next morning along with a running toilet and a deadbolt that didn't work at all. They didn't fix any of it that day. Complained again but came back to the same problems at the end of that day. Long story short, our heating/AC was not repaired until our last night there; toilet and deadbolt were never fixed. They don't clean the rooms at all unless you make a special request. The other thing to mention is that we did not feel comfortable/safe in the neighborhood (our fault for not double checking the area). Other major consideration is that the hotel is directly across from the Boston Medical center. Noise level is atrocious--sirens (both ambulances and police), honking horns, even a helicopter that landed right across from our room.

I regret staying at this property. Do not stay here if you want to sleep. It is next to the medical center and sirens were going off all night long. Accessibility was also terrible. There are all one way streets around the property that make it difficult to get around and make traffic worse. Nearest gas station has a huge homeless population. Very few restaurants or places to eat. Expedia indicated there was an airport shuttle which was incorrect. I should have double checked so that is on me but just fyi. Staff was not very helpful either. Overall we were very unhappy with our stay considering our room for one night was over $400. Next time I’ll stay closer to the airport.

Hotel was typical of Hampton. Clean, comfortable beds, good parking facilities (in and out as often as you like for 24 hrs, only $25), and better priced than most in the Boston area. The area surrounding the hotel was pretty bad. Do not go here with a plan to walk anywhere. As long as you plan to drive or Uber, you’ll be fine.

Horrible Front Desk Service
I don't mind staying at a low end hotel but what I can't handle is a hotel with horrible, disrespectful, rude, nasty front desk service that doesn't respect my privacy. Upon checking in I was told the room I paid for and booked in advance was no longer available. Instead of automatically being upgraded I was asked to take a room that was far from what I requested. I was told first come first serve and in trying to understand that logic the unmannerly front desk said she had to call the manager and Instead of doing that she began to help another customer right infront me. She didn't tell the other customer to wait and I had to ask are you going to call the manager. She got upset that I asked this question and become belligerent. She said she called the manager and she began yelling and telling me she wasn't going to do a back and forth with me and went to the back. After she calmed down she came back and told me about breakfast and handed me keys. I walkes to the elevator and she began to disparage me with another customer. She violated my privacy by informing a complete stranger that she gave me an upgrade. I met that same customer who was telling me she was speaking about me and that at least I got upgrade. Again, violated my privacy and safety. I went to the room and the keys she provided did not work! I went back downstairs told her the keys weren't working. Did not receive acknowledgement about the mistake. Did not receive any apology. Just bad customer service.

Stayed here over the labour day weekend. The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel is older and needs an update. The finishings in the room were dated but functional. The bathroom pipes would groan at all hours of the day which was an annoyance. The location is poor. There is a large homeless encampment 50 yards from the front of the hotel. On several occasions homeless men in states of undress were arrested outside / in close proximity of the hotel. Sirens at all hours of the day/night. I didn’t research enough or I wouldn’t have stayed here.

My only issue was I reserved a room for 5 people. When I asked for a roll away bed for the 5th person I was told it was unsafe and the only room that would sleep 5 people was already being used. So one person had to sleep on the floor which was less than comfortable.

had requested adjoining rooms, which they do not have. However they did not put us on the same floor. My friends were able to check in early, but our room was not ready so they said they would call us when the room was ready, no0 call. I went back after the 3pm Check in and they said the room was ready, never bothered to call me. Then our toilet gets backed up and we go downstairs to tell them, we wait for the maintenance man to find out we have to move rooms.

Not worth the money
The hot water was out for the entire hotel. There was no communication about it or how long it would be out. For the price they charge it’s not worth it. It’s in a shady part of town and way over priced. Hotel was under construction and it needs a reboot. Staff was friendly but overwhelmed so check in line was very long with one one staff member.

Our stay was ok. The staff seemed a bit put out by us needing something (checkin, purchasing water, question). The bed wasnt really comfortable. The ac did have an option to leave the fan on all the time which was a plus. We werent used to the noise but that expected for that area. We used Uber, around 10ish dollars wherever we went.

When we arrived at the property for a two-night stay we were informed that a water leak had rendered multiple rooms unusable, including ours. We were rebooked at a Ramada Inn a few miles away at no expense to us. Unfortunately that property wasn’t nearly as nice as the Hampton would’ve been. But we got through it. The positive in all this was the staff at the Hampton. The gentleman at the front desk was very professional, courteous and kind. Rather than return for the second night we decided to continue on our trip to Cooperstown NY. We didn’t call to cancel which we probably should have, but did notify Expedia. Thankfully we did receive a refund for both nights minus fees and I’m certain this was because management at the Hampton Inn agreed to it. So while our experience wasn’t ideal, I do feel that the staff at this particular Hampton Inn went above and beyond. They could’ve refused the refund on the second night which was no small amount. All of this was very much appreciated and I wouldn’t hesitate to stay at this Hampton Inn again. Although I might call ahead to make sure there is no flooding-:) Vince

I was not familiar with Boston when I booked the room. The minute we entered our room at 9pm, sirens and lights were blaring from the intersection outside. At least 30 cop cars showed up and were in hot pursuit of a shooter. It was exciting to watch. However, for 2 nites we listened to screams, sirens, gun shots, ambulances all nite long. The toilet clogged up several times. The breakfast is good. One elevator did not work well and was frightening. The security guard looked weak and worthless. I only saw 1 homeless woman bumming cigarettes in front. The parking garage was $50 for 2 nights. The pool water was not warm at all for an indoor heated pool. And there is no hot tub or jacuzzi. There are no washing machines or dryers. I was not very impressed considering it was pricey and its in Roxbury which is highest crime area in Boston and extremely noisy, near the police dept and Hospital. Ambulances every 15 minutes. No hair dryer in the room and had to get instructions from front desk on how to turn on the shower. Make sure to talk to front desk about garage parking.

This hotel is right by the hospital and there was a good number of homeless hanging out by the bus stop and if you walked anywhere beyond the doors of the hotel. We didn’t really get bothered but it was a touch uncomfortable with a teenage girl along. The ambulance and police were obviously running all night and it could be heard while trying to sleep. The hotel itself was wonderful and clean. We did have a wonderful time traveling through Boston!

On the positive, the staff was great, the adjacent/connected Cuban restaurant was fab with live music (Friday night) and made the stay great. The hotel is in need of refurbishment, but the really BAD thing is that the neighborhood is filled with vagrants as there is a tent alley about 2 blocks away. Also, all the sirens were very noisy all night.

My stay at the hotel was overall good. It was clean and staff was very nice! The hotel is kinda of a small hotel since it does have 9 floors. Only thing about this hotel is the area that’s it in it can be noisy with the sirens and that’s really about it. The pool/gym are small so don’t expect it to be big. For the cheap price I paid it was over all good and will keep this hotel in mind for next time if I need a place to stay for a weekend in Boston. Breakfast was okie they serve breakfast from 7-10 (I believe it changes when it comes to the weekends not sure). If you need an hour extended for check out they are happily to do so free of charge (unless they changed it). I didn’t stay longer but I did ask about it and they said that they could do it and it would be free of charge. Overall good hotel!

Nice stay
Good location for where we needed to go (Berklee College of Music). It’s not in a great part of town though being right near the bus station. And there were ambulance sirens below on the street every few minutes because it’s right beside a large hospital. Other than that, it was clean and comfortable, great staff.

We went to a baseball game. Hotel has a free shuttle to Fenway Park. We walked back and it took us 30 min. The area closer to the hotels has some homeless people.Staff was extremely helpful. Breakfast was good and with enough choices. Our room was a bit humid, we learned that they had a flood and we’re still in the middle of reparations.
