Disappointed
We were in town for a cheer competition. Only one person on duty upon arrival so check in line was long. I had booked a super king that sleeps 6 but the room they tried to put us in was 2 queens. After some shuffling around we finally got the rooom we paid for. Next issue we went to use the pool and hot tub only to find out both were out of service.. The next morning we went for breakfast and they had run out of many foods. They said they had numerous peoplecome in overnight and weren't prepared. While the propert was clean I was very disappointed with the overall stay. I frequent Hilton or Hilton backed hotels when we travel. This was not up to a Hilton experience

I do not recommend this hotel to anyone
We have stayed at many Hampton Inns and the minute we walked in it smelled awful. Then we went to our room and it smelled horrible as well. I’m not sure if it’s the cleaning solution in the carpet but it was awful and other people said the same thing. At breakfast they had run out of potatoes and I walked to ask the woman who was bringing things out to the kitchen if she had anymore potatoes and she snapped at me and said I just filled the container and I said well it’s empty and she said well I’ll cook more but it’s going to take a while. I am gluten free so there is only certain things I can eat so I ended up having an apple and an orange. It really was unfortunate there was nothing else that was out I could eat

The hotel and the location are fine but the cleaning products are horrible, I have been gone for 5 hours and the smell is still in my nose and mouth. It makes you wonder what smells they are trying to hide. I won’t be staying there anymore

Great Stay (5 days)
The breakfast area was so clean I saw an attendant on her knees wiping up the floor around a garbage bin. Impeccable!
Also saw an employee CONSTANTLY cleaning the hallways. They really do care for their customers. Best hotel. Room service was great as well.

Everything was great. The only issue we had was when we asked the desk for a corkscrew and they didn't have one.

We stay at the Hampton Inn often for our daughter is in college at Worcester. We didn’t like that the pool was out of commission for our last few months. Yes, the beds and surfaces were clean but I saw dust coming from the vents. I looked closely at the vent and it was full of dust and clearly was mot cleaned recently.
The breakfast could use some healthier choices. I can go on but these are my main concerns.

We were very pleased with everything during our stay at the Auburn Hampton Inn. The staff was friendly and attentive. The breakfast choices were possibly the best we have ever had. It is so rare to see a varying choice of breakfast items from one day to the next. The room was spacious with a microwave and refrigerator. The bathroom was very clean and seemed brand new. We loved the large shower and all of the products were in large pump bottles. We would definitely recommend this hotel.

Smells bad
The chemical and frangrance smell of this hotel is off the charts. Very strong artificial fragrance and perfumes. Worse in the breakfast area so it was not pleasent to eat. The temperature was uncomfortable because to keep a steady temp, the room would blast freezing air then hot air and alternate all night. It was a rollercoaster of sweating and freezing every 10 minutes. Otherwise the place seemed clean is the only plus.

Shower had mold and base was dirty! Gross! Staff was friendly and helpful.
Outside garbage was overflowing and all around the can. My husband said breakfast was great and the staff were nice and accommodating.

Room was clean enough but nothing in it worked, television , ac, frig were all inoperable. Place was full and It was late on a Saturday night so we suffered thru. Hampton Inn is no longer a favorite. We felt ripped off.

I've stayed in better Hilton, staff was kinda and courtesy was there! Property was clean and presentable. Kitchen was awesome except for the fire alarm going off because of the toaster setting off the firealarm!Fridge not working! Shower rod broken,hit me when getting into shower!

We booked well in advance for an event we were attending and chose this location based on having an indoor pool and having breakfast selection that fit a specific diet for one of us. A week before arrival we learned that the pool was closed and would not reopen during our stay. We tried to cancel our reservation but were not able to at that late date without losing all our money. Upon arrival, we learned that they would have a very bizarre and limited breakfast. The first morning we also learned the hard way that they would only have EXTREMELY (like water) light roast coffee). The Queen beds were also very hard. That being said, it was VERY clean and the staff was decent. We would NOT stay there again though....it was a very average stay for a big price.

Great stay with a small drawback
The check in & check out were a breeze. Hotel staff was outstanding. The hotel was clean, rooms spacious and quiet. The only major drawback for me was that the bed was MUCH too soft. By the 2nd night may back was hurting so much that I removed the bedding and slept on the couch. The hotel management might consider newer firmer mattresses. OR consider placing firm mattresses in several rooms and using that as a selling point!

Did not honor pricing
Pet fee on hotels.com listed as $50. Upon arrival I was told $125 and couldn’t cancel my stay because I paid a non-refundable rate. Manager was rude and said they do not honor third party pricing despite my stay being booked on hotels.com. Even after hotels.com contacted the hotel, the manager refused to honor the pricing online. Hotels.com did however provide excellent service and gave me a credit for a future stay. I’d suggest booking a different hotel, especially if you are traveling with a pet. A $125 non-refundable pet fee is outrageous when the room itself didn’t even cost that much.

Excellent all the way around and would recommend.
Staff was friendly and attentive from breakfast, cleaning and front desk staff. All tops, friendly and competent. Good going! Very slight down grade on cleanliness not a comment about cleaning. I’m just a neatnick w a tooth brush. Lol.

The pool was closed, nothing on here stated it was closed. The bathroom in our room was dirty, dust on countertop, pubic hair in the tub and when we pulled the covers back in the bed. The room had a weird smell to it, my husband said it smelled like weed. We stayed for 50 mins and checked out. Im not stay there with toung kids. The frint desk lady didnt care at all. Just said oh well, you're going to still be charged in full. Really ??? Just not right at all.

Few hours in found a smoking device stuck between mattress. Told staff immediately so they set me up in another room. Sheet in next room meessed up like they didnt even change from prior stay. Zero sleepon straightened out side of bed. Pretty disappointed not even offered so much as a discount on stay. Aweful experience

I always love staying at a Hampton Inn. There is amazing consistency across hotels and every one provides a comfortable clean and convenient place to stay. The Hampton Inn in Auburn is no exception. Check Inn was quick and easy even on a very busy weekend. The staff was super friendly and welcoming.

Nice, clean hotel
It was spotless, with pleasant service staff and an excellent breakfast. The only negative during my visit is that although the hotel is supposed to have an indoor pool, the pool wasn't operational.

The parking lot is dimly lit and dangerous. Pet fees were ridiculous. I have 2 tiny dogs. On check in they told me the fees were $125 per dog per night. Staff were rude when I told them that was insane. Since options were limited I was stuck and they knew it. The next afternoon I went to check out. I was willing to pay for the room but not those fees. Staff laughed and said “oh, we made a mistake”. Finally, the hotel was not ADA compliant. No closed captions on any of the TVs and no way to turn them on. Awful.

Poor reception experience
We had booked a 2 queen bed room. When we checked in to our room, we were surprised to see a king bed with a sleeper sofa. Thinking it was a mistake, we went back to the receptionist. The receptionist said that all their rooms were fully booked and gave us a "take or leave it" attitude. I was shocked by this attitude and this was the first ever experience at our fav hotel chain. I got the impression since this was a third-party reservation and not made directly with hotel, they somehow had the right to not honor our room type. Had the receptionist told us about the room type unavailability at the outset and given us a full or partial reimbursement the conversation would have taken a different path. Unfortunately, they ended up losing some customers for good

It says it has a pool and hot tub and that’s the rate they charge but they have not had one running for more the. 2 years according to google reviews and the room also melted like dirty socks. If I did not need sleep I would not had stayed

Immaculately clean, well-appointed, properly-supplied room. Bed and furniture very comfortable and well-maintained.
A surprising and very welcome feature was the extensive, varied and good-quality complimentary breakfast provided to guests. Quite uncommon these days at hotels of this price level.
Only criticism: signage should be more prominent and better illuminated at highway route entrance to hotel. Hotel is located a short distance down a narrow roadway, and is not immediately visible when turning into entrance.

My daughter and I were looking forward to swimming and relaxing after a full day of shopping. When we checked in we were told that the pool hasn’t been functioning for over two years- Expedia advertises this place with a pool!

Rooms smelled terrible. I had 2 different rooms on different floors and both smelled terrible. Almost like cat pee. We had to buy febreeze from a local CVS to try and get through the night. Cheer Competition locally so hotel and surrounding hotels sold out. We had no choice but to deal with it.

Easy Drive to Holy Cross
The hotel is located at the end of a drive, so it was very quiet. Check in was easy. The room is standard, but comfortable. The cleaning products they use are strong, so we noticed the smell when we first entered the room, but it wasn’t overpowering.
I didn’t try the cooked breakfast, but took a grab and go bag which had an apple, bagel w/ peanut butter and a bottle of water, perfect for the drive home.
We were in town for the Holy Cross Spring Football Game, the location was great and easy to get back and forth to the Hill.

Pool and hot tub closed
The only reason we booked this hotel is for the pool and the hot tub and the breakfast I comparable hotel or just breakfast what about $15 a day cheaper the pool was closed as well as the hot tub. Very disappointed. Otherwise typical Hampton Inn breakfast was decent room was clean, and it was fairly quiet Again. The pool and hot tub are closed. You might want to call the hotel before bucking if this is the one of the reasons why you are booking this hotel

Make sure u call the place you are look to stay at I didn’t and got a big surprise when I went to check in no pool or hot tub as said when looking at properties. Also the lady working the front desk of hotel informed me I was paying more a night the the hotel price so Expedia needs to be looked into and no the don’t give u and money back the tell u they can give u credit

Very clean rooms and very nice staff... however i booked this hotel especially for the hot tub and pool. the pool is closed and there is no hot tub!!! Had it have said somewhere that the pool was closed i wouldnt have even booked it.

Pretty clean in general. That said our room has a certain odor. Not sure if from the carpets. Our bathroom toilet wasn’t properly cleaned. Also, this particular time, the room cards were not functional so it was annoying to always have a staff member opening the door Everytime you came back to your room.

We were in town for a family event and stayed here. It was very clean, nicely updated and the breakfast was good. The people were very nice as well. Only suggestion is to add room safes.

Great hotel
The hotel was very clean, and the staff was absolutely amazing. Was sad the pool was not open while we were at the hotel.
The only issue we had during our stay was the room right next to us started to party at 1 am. Called the front desk and they asked them to quiet down several times…. Well they did not until around 430 am….. so really did not get any sleep while at the hotel.

Room is what you expect, but good on the plugs and USBH ports which is convenient.
Breakfast was dismal. Basically, nothing left when we got there, but a trickle of milk for the packaged cereal. No toast, eggs, or anything.
