Too Much Light
Our room (221) was spotless and the mattress was comfy! BUT….the outside landscape light was pointed and aimed directly at the window…it was daylight in our room all night! Unfortunately there were no shades/curtains that could be drawn to darken the room…

Very clean, friendly and superb service

My second room was clean, but the first one I was given had an unmade bed. It was corrected very quickly and easily, though. The parking lot lights shine bright in the window at night and I don’t think the curtains closed, just the sheers.

Mini fridge didn’t work, moved to another room where it barely worked. Breakfast not great. Fire alarm went off at 5am and woke whole hotel up for about 25 minutes… no apologies no announcements. Would stay somewhere else.

The staff was great, literally every single one of them! The issues I had a problem with are more safety related, as I was traveling with very young kids and a very old parent. The pool area was super slippery, they should have better flooring, and the room tub was super slippery, both very dangerous! Other than that, the staff was great and did a wonderful job of welcoming us/treating us like family.

Clean and good for families
Hotel is clean and maintained. Staff is friendly and courteous. My major complaint was that the whole hotel was so hot, uncomfortably hot. We shut the heat off in our room as soon as we got there but it didn’t seem to matter. Others we were with had similar issues so just be prepared to remove a few layers.

It’s hard to believe that 24 years into the twenty first century you can’t provide an undistorted picture on the television.
The wall mounts in the bathroom were also loose.
The toilet paper fell off the holder.

My stay was actually kinda miserable, but it took bad luck to make it that way, and I didn't give the staff an opportunity to fix it in time to help.
The problem was that the thermostat didn't work. I had to either deal with the heat being on much too much, or off so I was cold by morning. If I hadn't arrived so late I just didn't want to think about it, I would have asked to be moved to another room. Pretty sure they'd have agreed.
Also, the included breakfast was meh. Get what you pay for on that…
The area? It's a row of hotels on a minor highway. It doesn't seem dangerous, but it's not really attractive. Interior was fine, though.

I would totally plan on staying here again as I travel to Champaign quite often. However, I left my robe hanging in the bathroom, totally my fault. Called 2 days after I checked out and housekeeping said they didn’t have anything in lost & found. The keys were left in my room so no one could have gotten in without a key. Someone who had access to the room found the robe.

Great place across the board
For the price you cannot beat this Hotel in Champaign. I’ve stayed at 4 in the price range and this is hands down way above any of those. Noon checkout, Clean room, lobby, shower was awesome. Breakfast was amazing and is served until 10:30am, biscuits and gravy and homemade waffles, eggs, country potatoes) staff was friendly too

A great room for a fair price
Nice area next to other hotels and near a large mall. Many restaurants within one mile.
Our suite was great and very cheerful. ( one drawback is there’s no microwave). Perfect bathroom and mattress. Lovely small lobby.

The room was bigger and better than I expected. I asked for a clean up every other day, but I had remind them to clean it up the third day. Breakfast was sufficient but uninspiring. Everything else was exceptional.

our stay was great. The only thing I would change is that there was only 1 ice machine and it was on the 1st floor. Also the breakfast was good but they need to include fruit and bacon. Other than that, I would recommend this place to others and I will be back.

Very nice place to stay.
I enjoyed my stay. Condition of the place was used but, it was neat and clean. The free breakfast was awesome! Loved it! WIFI worked great. Staff took care of the place. I had a very quiet and pleasant stay. The front desk staff was great. Very friendly and courteous. I would like to know the name of the lady working the front when i checked out on Wednesday Oct 11 at 0730. All i know is she was from Chicago. What a wonderful person she is. You are so lucky to have someone like her working for you. Please send me her name so i can thank her. Nice place, i would definitely stay there again.

It was great overall...but we did encounter someone who had been smoking Marijuana and the smell in in the elevator and hallway reeked with the smell. The person behind the desk was quick to spray air freshner and apologize.

Room was clean. High priced for what we got but it was a football weekend so we are happy to just have shelter. Towels in the bathroom are just horrible. They were non absorbent, thin and scratchy. Almost rags. Husband used treadmill in the work out room and it turned off abruptly at 2.5 miles and would not restart!? Housekeeping walked in at 9 -while knocking- in the AM not going us a chance to respond. We were sleeping. Check out wasn't until noon.

Front desk lady was too busy with her private company and was sitting in the lobby as a customer. After she went behind the desk she rushed me through my check in and did not explain anything, what room, breakfast hours, pool hours or anything. We had to figure and navigate on our own. The next morning staff opened our door at 9:45 trying to get in, I had just jumped out of the shower and was undressed, thankfully the latch prevented them from entering and seeing me. My husband had to yell out that the room was occupied. Mind you, check out was not until noon.

The first thing I noticed when I entered the room was a strange smell. It smelled like whatever cleaning rags they used were not quite clean. The room was also dated. But my biggest issue is the noise between floors. The insulation is very poor. Whoever was staying above me was up until 4 o’clock in the morning walking around and stomping. When I finally went to the front desk to complain, they told me that there was a birthday party being held, and other people had also complained. But apparently they didn’t feel the need to do anything about it, so we just suffered with no sleep. Needless to say, I won’t be staying at this hotel again and I don’t recommend it.

First stayed at this hotel in 2021 and was pleased. Stayed again in Aug 2023 and am glad we did. The hotel is a bit dated but everything else is very good or great. We were there during a record heat wave and our AC worked just fine, and I heard of no other room AC problems from other guests. The hot breakfast is good, better than most these days. The suite was roomy and comfortable and the bathroom was quite nice.

Slightly disappointed
This was my second time staying here. The first time was excellent. But this time our room eas on the 3rd floor. My husband and I always go out to eat and have leftovers for later. We didn’t realize that our room didn't have a microwave until after 10:30pm when looking to heat our food. Already in my pj's, we were told the 2nd and 3rd floors didn't have microwaves at the moment and we'd have to come down to the breakfast area. I just think this should have been brought to our attention when we checked in as it’s listed as prvided in our toom description. I am currently recovering from a knee replacement and would have preferred not to have to leave my room carrying plates when my balance is already unstable.

What a great place to stay. Very clean, rooms are comfy as well. What I wasn't too fond of is that the curtains in the room (the blackout ones) didn't close and there was a flood light shining in the room the whole night. Made it hard to sleep...but that's because I like it dark when I sleep. Overall, a very nice place to stay.

This is the fourth or fifth time I have stayed at this facility. It is convenient and the location is close to the great downtown area of Champaign, as well as the campus of the University of Illinois in Urbana. Everything is perfect for a one night or multi night stay.

The pool was closed when we were there and the trip had been planned for over 6 months. We had the majority of rooms for our group and they were charging us a premium price per room. This is NOT an ideal hotel for a group. For a short stay one room, it’s decent. The staff was very nice.

Noise level high even at 2 a.m. Worse stay ever!
There was so much chaos when we returned to the hotel after our concert. There was a portable fire pit with a blazing fire in the parking lot which I am sure is a violation of city codes. There were young children running through the hallway unattended by parents. This was after 10 p.m. There was continued noise of foot traffic (stomping) in the room above us past 2 a.m. even after two phone calls to the desk to please stop the noise. We will never stay there again and will never suggest that anyone ever stay in this Radisson hotel.

Overall everything was pretty good . I understood that they had recently remodeled, so yeah .
One thing I noticed that most hotels dont have is ample channels on their cable service , I actually did watch some movies and the TV was updated .
A full breakfast was offered and I have to complement their choice of coffee, really good !
I would stay there again if ever in Champaign, IL

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The lobby was clean and updated. Our room, not so good. The carpet in our room was stained, there were sections of chipped paint in our room, the desk chair was stained. The mini fridge in our room didn’t work. We were on the 1st floor, not sure if they are in the process of updating rooms and ours just wasn’t updated because when we were doing laundry on the 2nd floor, I saw the inside of a room and it was definitely updated and ours was pretty bad.
