Hilton Garden Inn’s location is way better than hawaiian village. It’s also not as crazy as hawaiian village. My family enjoyed our stay. Very convenient. International market place is literally right across. It’s very walkable everywhere. We will definitely stay here again next time

No late checkout available, did not have any king rooms at 3:30 pm check in even though that is what we reserved. Double bed room was very cramped and hard to get in and out of bed as it was right against wall. Not happy with front desk staff. Not very friendly or service oriented

A great central option for staying in Honolulu. Walkable to almost anything you would need. About 5 mins from the beach and right across the street from the Marketplace. Room was average, but location was very good.

This seems like an overrated place and doesn’t deserve the price tag. The room is extremely small in size and too noisy when you open the patio door. The breakfast choices lack even basic selections that you get on normal mid range highway hotels. No self parking and you are forced to valet at $55 per day.

Parking and the resort fees are ridiculous. With everything else so expensive, why add salt to the wound with more money.
Other than that, this is a great hotel with a great location. I would recommend, even with the ridiculous fees.

The staff are incredibly helpful. Location of the hotel is super convenient and walkable to Waikiki Beach and many restaurants. Lobby is bright and welcoming. The room itself is a bit dated. Would be nice if the colour scheme was lighter to make the room feel bigger. Overall, would stay again.

This visit was the first fluke of things happening. One was a fire alarm going off, at 1am. Was kinda irritating to wake up to it. 2nd was a concierge call in morning I didn’t make. I’ve stayed multiple times as I like this location, rooms with glass door showers on most visits. Bed’s definitely comfy. Elevators are fast. Staff overall are friendly and inviting.

I stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn Waikiki for three nights around Thanksgiving 2023.
Plus points:
- It’s near the beach areas, and the shopping and restaurants areas.
- The staff are friendly, especially in the adjacent Holoholo store where we picked up coffee and pastries each day.
- The rooms have most of the amenities that you would expect.
Not so great:
- The beds are too soft.
- It’s a noisy hotel - lots of young people talking loudly late at night when gathered in common areas on the 5th floor or poolside; doors banging late at night.
- Our room’s position looked over a construction site, so even though we had a balcony it wasn’t somewhere we chose to sit
One extra point to consider:
- Considering the fact that this hotel is right next to the beach, I imagine a lot of people such as ourselves were using the beach each day, however the room had no clothes racks or towel racks that we could use to get our beach clothes and towels dry.
Overall:
- If the hotel ‘fits’ your budget then definitely go for it! It’s a little old but I can see they have tried their best to bring some aspects up-to-date. But. Don’t let the ‘Hilton’ brand fool you, this is a 3 star hotel. If you go with that expectation then you won’t be disappointed!

Great hotel, located in the heart of Waikiki.
Rooms were clean and spacious.
Water pressure and temp in the shower were amazing.
One thing that could be better is that there was a moldy smell every time we entered the room.
Staff was attentive and efficient.

It's really in a fantastic location! The International Market Place is directly across the street, and thta provides super easy (and beautiful!) walking to the beach adn all of the shops along the main Waikiki drag. Our room was small but overall was comfortable and cozy and did all that we needed it to do. When we are in Waikiki we are rarely ever in our room, so all in all it was excellent. Friendly staff too!

Ideal location
We loved the location. All the staff we encountered were friendly and able to help us. Our room was above the pool, very convenient to get around. We highly recommend this hotel and its location to great restaurants and shopping.

Position of hotel is great. We have been coming here for a few years and we have been very happy. This visit we were put on the 3rd floor and as soon as we entered room, the smell of room was overpowering and made us feel sick. We rang to ask to be put in another room and they obliged by putting us on 2nd floor which seemed like a storage area and the room smelled not much better. And check in when we asked if there was a room on a higher floor we were told that because we booked through a third party (hotels.com) and it was a standard room that’s the best they could give us.
It was very disappointing and we will unlikely stay here again

It’s close from the beach and was very central to go everywhere else ! Very friendly staff , we didn’t have to wait long for the elevators like others hotels , checking in was quick n easy same as checking out we’ll be back next year 😃😃

The location is good, there many shops and many bus routes that takes you to most of the scenic areas. Staff are helpful. Except when inquiring about tourist group service at concierge different staff on duty gave different answers and at the end I travel by bus to the Pearl Harbor instead of joining a tour.

Hotel is in a fantastic location, right across the road to the International Marketplace and a short walk to the beach.
Staff are friendly and helpful.
Hotel was clean however our room smelled like a public toilet. Housekeeping deodorised the room however that didn’t help. We were able to move rooms the following day however the new room smelled musty, so we went and bought some room spray from Bath & Body Works to mask the smell.

Room was very spacious; it was clean and looked like it’s newly renovated. Lots of dining and shopping areas that are just across the atreets.
Could offer better amenities in regards to resort fee-e.g. free pocket wifi, other activities like lei making, hula lessons, etc. Consider offering self-parking as it does consume a lot of time waiting for vehicle due to valet parking even if we called way ahead of time.

I recently stayed at this hotel and unfortunately, my experience was not great. The dining option for breakfast was extremely limited and there was no buffet available. This meant that I had to eat the same meal every day, which became quite monotonous. Additionally, my room was located right beside the elevator, which made it very noisy and difficult to sleep at night.
To make matters worse, the parking at this hotel was extremely expensive, costing me $55 per night. I also found the restaurant staff to be quite impolite, as they asked for a tip every day, which made me feel uncomfortable.
Overall, I would not recommend staying at this hotel due to the limited dining options, noisy rooms and expensive parking. The impolite restaurant staff only added to my negative experience.

Room was ready around Noon rather than 4 PM. Luggage was taken by porter and delivered to the room as soon as we checked-in. Nice and clean hotel all around. Location is within minutes walking distance to Waikiki Beach. The week before our cruise we stayed at a more expensive hotel that was ocean front in Waikiki Beach. That was a waste of money!

This was our first time stay at the Hilton Garden Inn, and while we had a great trip, this wasn’t my favorite hotel to stay at in Waikiki. The room itself was pretty tight (it was a little smaller than our master bedroom at home). The shower pressure was top notch though! We had a view of some apartments which wasn’t a big deal because the “ocean view” is barely even a view and costs more. The valet service was great. We would call down every morning around 15 mins before we planned to leave and they always had our car ready and were so nice! They were probably the best part of staying here.

This property is located on Kuhio Ave and facing the back of the International Market Place. If you are looking for a central location to get to all of the other attractions, this is a great option. Walking distance to great food and Waikiki Beach is just 2 blocks away. Give serious consideration if your trip requires, great location, accessible, and affordable.

Great location with musty smell
Great location. Close to shopping and restaurants, and a short walk to the beach. The staff were very friendly.
There is a musty smell to the room. We requested to be moved to a different room but the smell is still there in the second room.
We had breakfast at the restaurant inside the hotel, and it's very disappointing. Worst breakfast we had during the whole trip.

In core, the things we needed and used, thankfully, were available: safe box, iron, coffee and coffee machine, water cooker, refrigerator, suitcases storage.
The only single thing we think weren’t suitable to us was the resort fee because we didn’t need and didn’t use those resorts (swimming pool, etc.) but had to pay for.

Staff at this location were all wonderful. Every single person were warm and friendly. The only downside is the place itself is VERY outdated. They need to do remodeling ASAP to compete with surrounding hotels. By the way, don't be fooled by the low price. They charge $41 resort fee /per day on top of total cost. I can't help to feel cheated because the way they tell you ONLY when you CHECKOUT. I would have gone somewhere much nicer if I knew my total cost was comparable with other higher end hotels. I would NOT recommend this place. Do your research and ask what is the TOTAL cost after resort fee and god knows what other fees they would throw it in there...

This property is well located, and the staff was very kind and considerate. The bar had fun and tasty drinks, and the restaurant had delicious options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner! One thing to note is that there is valet parking only.
Overall, we had a fabulous time! 10/10!

Room was Dank. It smelled like a wet carpet, so I had to open the sliding door to air it out and also not the cleanest room either. Also guy I dealt with at the from desk was not hospitable. It felt as if I was bothering him when I made a request.
