Worst check in experience
Terrible check in experience when arriving as it was the shift change and the replacement was not well trained to deal with credit card payments. The front desk attendant did not quite understand how the different terminals worked and insisted that cards were not working, until they were entered manually. The line to check in extended to the main door.

The house keepers didn’t refill the soap shampoo or other toiletries. We had to purchase our own because housekeeping was gone for the day. A/C didn’t work good and the mini fridge was hot. Didn’t keep things cold. There’s no microwave in the room so you had to go downstairs to the lobby to warm your food. That was a major inconvenience

Waiting for Airplane
The stay was good and the airport shuttle was on time. The bus was neat. But the room air was dry it was also freezing outside. Bed was comfortable. I would stay there again.

It's unfortunate that the airport shuttle isn't operational or available for booking 24 hrs but the staff are all so friendly. The restaurant has delicious food and the rooms are very clean and comfortable.

Bed was clean and comfortable, hallways smelled like smoke/weed, dead roach on floor of room, bathroom had been cleaned but it was just dingy, shower drained slow. Fine for the price overall but I think my impression is a bit lower than some of the other reviews I saw. Also, $38 to park for a day, which was disappointingly expensive.

Holiday inn in crystal city
Not the cleanest room. Toilet seat was so loose it fell off commode. Hardly any of the cable channels worked.

Staff was very pleasant (notably the lady who checked us in -- didn't get her name-- and the man who checked us out, Chuda). Breakfast was yummy. The bed was VERY comfortable.

Super friendly staff. Great rooms. Walking around Arlington to Crystal city Metro was a breeze - pro tip. Make use of the under ground walkways between 23rd and 18th street! Shuttle runs every 30mins for both terminals.

The staff have been lovely it’s the property itself that’s the problem. The whole place smells like one large ash tray. I truly think I would get secondhand smoke cancer because of how bad it is in this hotel. I would not recommend for anyone with kids, the elderly, anyone who cares about their health to stay here. I booked it for one night to enjoy New Year’s Eve but this just ruined the experience for me because I have to sleep in a room where the air vent just smells like it’s pumping straight cigarette smoke into my room. I have the worst headache. I wish I could open the window. I regret booking this place.

Overnight stay for early flight. Check in was fine. On-site restaurant and staff good. There were adult guest running up and down hallway. Exit from parking lot should be explained better or don’t give paper ticket. Had to physically go to front desk because no answer while in parking lot…

We spent 3 weeks at this hotel and it is clean, very convenient shuttle, and has a good breakfast. However, the best part was the staff. Everyone, and I mean everyone, is friendly. Always good morning, how are you etc. The shuttle drivers, specially Makil, are very welcoming and friendly. At the front desk everyone was very helpful. However, Tracy and Karen, need to be mentioned separate. They always greeted us remembering our name, and were very helpful with anything we needed. They certainly made our 3 week stay feel like home away from home. Thanks Karen and Tracy you made our stay a pleasant one. Until next time, keep smiling. Mr. Cruz

Decent for short business trip
Decent hotel for a short business trip. Comfortable pillows and bed and courteous staff. Walking distance to major hotels for conferences. However, there was a lack of adequate lighting at the office desk so it was inconvenient to do work. Had to turn on bathroom light for lighting, but the fan would be loud. Room would vacillate between too hot or too cold even when set at 70 degrees.

Free Shuttle from airport to hotel property was convenient and easy. A short ride from Reagan airport.
Front desk staff was friendly and efficient.
Only stayed one night but would recommend for travelers needing a place close to the airport.

Checking in with Jessica A. & Chuda was a joy. Both went above and beyond to make sure my check in was smooth & easy. You can always tell when someone take pride in their job. These two rock, I appreciate you both. My room and the view was amazing.

The second night we were there, someone knocked on our door to ask if our refrigerator was working. This seemed a little suspicious, so we didn't open the door and just talked through it. Wasn't sure if someone was trying to break in or not. We did ask the front desk the next morning if this was a normal thing and they said it wasn't. We all thought maybe maintenance got a call and went to the wrong room.
Not sure how that could have been handled differently but it did put us on edge a bit. Since we didn't know the area or how safe it was. However, after staying here for a week it felt pretty safe.
Staff were all very nice and super helpful. Loved the easy and quick shuttle to and from the airport. The restaurant downstairs has delicious chicken wings and sweet potato fries.
Absolutely loved that our room not only had a mini fridge but also had a microwave, which wasn't listed as one of the amenities. Such a great thing to have when you are traveling with family on a budget! I totally recommend Holiday Inn National Airport/Crystal City!

Parking is a paid service and I believe it should be called out clearly. Instead of saying parking available I think the listing should say paid parking available. It’s a little deceptive not to call it out and only mentioning it in the fine print.

Main complaint I had was bed bugs. I’ve stayed at many H Inns over the years and this was the first time to experience this. Even saw two of them which solidified my suspicions. Plus bites similar to mosquitoes. Restaurant was good. Nice fitness. Clean bathroom. Quiet rooms. My stay was during thanksgiving week.

There is a parking fee and if you park on the lower level there is a very narrow ramp to exit. The ramp is next to a huge yellow pipe hanging from wall and my car was side swiped/ damaged upon leaving the garage. Now I have to pay for damages to my SUV. The lower level should be for small cars only.

Our first room had hair on the sheets so we had to go get our room changed. There’s not hot water just warm water when showering. The breakfast is overpriced for continental like breakfast. $18 each person. You’re better off going out to eat or eating at the McDonald’s next door. The staff is nice and 15 min from the metro you can Uber or walk it’s not a terrible walk.

We stayed at this hotel as our base while visiting D.C. as tourists. We chose this hotel because of cost. We took the free hotel shuttle to and from the Metro Station. The driver was very helpful. The only inconvenience was having to wait for the shuttle, which ran every 30 minutes, but that was a small sacrifice for a free shuttle. The hotel room itself was very clean, modern, and comfortable. The only beef I had was that the bodywash container was empty upon arrival, but was replaced quickly after I reported it. Our room was spacious and beds comfortable. If you're okay using the Metro system and have patience to use a free hotel shuttle to get you to and from the metro station, this hotel is for you. Oh, lots of great food options in the surrounding area!

Great hotel, awesome staff!
We were only here for one night before an early flight, but we really enjoyed our stay! Check-in was a breeze, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. We also really enjoyed dinner at O'Malley's and the breakfast buffet the following morning. Everyone at the front desk was kind and smiling, and the restaurant and kitchen staff were so awesome. Airport access could not have been easier. I will definitely stay here again when flying in and out of DCA!

I paid $19 for a breakfast buffet and everything was COLD. Sausage, bacon, eggs COLD.
My room smelled like sewage off and on during the night.

Elevators were slow and guests had to wait long times. I actually fell down while using the steps to get to the lobby from the 9th floor. They were accommodating to me.

Nothing fancy but comfortable and (relatively) affordable accommodation for a quick last minute trip to attend an event. Airport shuttle service is great and you are only minutes from DCA. Stayed here the night before a 7 am flight to ensure I could get as much sleep and avoid any traffic issues.

Our stay was gine except for one thing. The tub was very slippery and my 70 year old husband did slip and had to grab the shower curtain to break his fall. I had to move incredibly slowly so as to remain upright.
