outdated facilities in a hotel room
I stayed one night at this hotel, but I was disappointed with the outdated facilities in the hotel room. Because there was no bathtub; only a shower with a titled floor which might slip a person and injure a disabled person. I felt uncomfortable feeling during the shower. Additionally, the towels were filthy but the hotel price was so high compared to other hotels. This hotel is needed to renovate hotel facilities, please.

The lobby was very cozy and pretty. The room we had wasn’t great. The fridge was leaking and the curtain covers were falling down. For the price we paid we expected less damage in the room.

I chose the contactless check in. The room I picked was ready on the app but then wouldn't let me in with the digital key. They ended up switching my room and the digital key again didn't work. I had to go to the front desk for the key cards. About an hour later, housekeeping comes in without knocking and then apologized. On the next morning, housekeeping comes again knocking at 10am even though I had the do not disturb. I get dressed to answer the door and then they apologize and say they will come back later. check out wasn't until 12pm.

The property is much larger then the last I stayed at in Tempe. The parking was good and convenient as I could park and had easy access to get directly to my room. Rooms are a little dated but the overall facility was nice. I had to ask though for replenishment of room items such as shower soap and coffee. I understand that facilities are trying to save money but please tell patrons up front that their rooms won't be made up daily that was a shock and disappointment to find out after the fact.

Exceeded expectations. Staff was extremely friendly. Resort like pool area and hot tub that was very appealing and a great way to spend the afternoon. The room was clean and spacious as was the property itself. It had the convenience of an in house restaurant with good food and wide selection that is reasonaby priced. I would definitely stay here again.

Property is under renovation and it does need it. It was probably built in the 1960s and it shows. The renovation was more inconvenient than noisy.

We’ve stayed here before and it was fine but this time we had a terrible experience. We had a cockroach in our room, the tub wouldn’t drain the shower water, and each morning loud, annoying construction was going on right outside our room door. One would think they wouldn’t put someone in a room amongst their own property construction. To top it off it was the worst chocolate chip cookies we’ve ever received. Normally Double Tree hotels are decent.

not Hilton standard at all ! paint bubbled and peeling in shower area , Grout very dirty . Rust all around the missing chalking around the shower tub area. tripping hazards holes on walk way to rooms 2 floor very unsatisfactory .

Nice property but the inside room was dusty, floors were very dirty. We had a lady banging on our door at 11pm trying to get in saying it was her room.didnt leave till told I was calling the police. Sleep with gun by the bed

I have no complaints about the property: I had to cancel my reservation due to circumstances beyond my control. And I am out 180.00 because of that. I hope this can be rectified for people who do not realize that this is a small print disclosure that you do not see until after you have made the reservation. Full disclosure before making the reservation that you will not be reimbursed, no matter what.

Loved the Frank Loyd Wright/50's Hollywood glam feel if the lobby. Air conditioner worked well. The only negative thing is the bottom of the tub/shower needs some sort of non slip application. Both my husband and I almost took a terrible fall getting in and out of the shower

The property was nothing special especially for the price. Also, the facility looks very old and out of date. It would benefit updating and detail cleaning the rooms, grounds and little café, not just a top cleaning.

We stayed only one night prior to an early flight, so did not use many of the amenities. We did walk around the property and the pool and hot tub area looked inviting.
The front desk staff was excellent in their service, and the airport shuttle service was great. On time, and very helpful with bags.
Service and food in the lounge was great.

I reserved a king sized bed and was given a room with two queen beds. When i asked about this i was forst told the property was sold out, which it was Not. The parking lot was nearly empty and many of the rooms had no lights coming from within. The room itself needs an upgrade. Old carpet, old refrigerator that did not keep contents cold and no licrowave available

Loved the amenities—beautiful pool and property, good restaurant and bar onsite. Free shuttle to/from airport. Staff was unfailingly friendly, professional, and eager to help with any topic. Everything was spotlessly clean. Would definitely stay again and recommend to others.

Good stay, connecting rooms (even though I didn’t request one and didn’t use the feature) need more insulation between doors and especially under the doors, as do the doors to the outside. I could hear everything in the connecting room. The person snoring sounded like they were literally in bed next to me. I could hear all the comings and goings from outside. I loved the property and the vibe. Small improvements and it would be fantastic!

When we entered the room, next to the nightstand of the right bed, someone's dirty dental floss was lying on the floor. I asked to vacuum the floor in our room while we were out. When we came back, nothing had been cleaned. The next day, the general cleaning service was done in the room, but the floss and floor remained where it was.The floor was not vacuumed.

Horrible Stay
I had requested a 2 queen beds and ADA accessibility. Was given a king size bed with no wheelchair shower. Location had overbooked and was unable to provide anything or accommodate my request. Had to leave and find another hotel with 2 queen beds and ADA accessible room.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the cookies 🍪 we received upon checking in. Parking was easy. Nice pool and hot tub that we enjoyed using. We like the outdoor sitting area to sit and relax. Room was nice sized. I liked that there was a security guard on duty when we returned late at night.

Will not be back. The toilet barely flushed. The air conditioner sounded like a Boeing 747. I ate at the restaurant and yep got food poisoning.....they nailed it!!!!

Stayed in August. Hot. Checked in late. The room was cool. A/C running. SUPER COMFORTABLE BED!!!! Fantastic parking. Great water pressure. The best part though ...... THE COOKIE WHEN YOU CHECK IN. YUMMY!!!!

Not a comfortable stay.
I booked a room to stay for a couple of hours to get some sleep. I was placed in room next to an elevator. Horrible idea I only was able to shut my eyes for about 3 hours. I ended up packing up and leaving less than 4 hours after checking-in. Very disappointed.

We were not warned that breakfast was $15 a plate. There was no sign. We walked in because there was not a hostess nor were there any weight staff around for us to ask. We waited at the host desk for three minutes and no one showed up so we walked in and saw the buffet and helped ourselves and sat down and then later someone brought us a ticket for $15 a plate. That is ridiculous! My husband had a bowl of boxed cereal and I had some bacon and sausage. That is a rip off! We were very disappointed to not be informed Enter suddenly be surprised that we had to pay such a high amount for nothing.

Yuck and muck.
Yuck! Room 150 was disgusting but the front desk told us there was nothing else available. We got into our room at 1030pm after a baseball game. It was awful.
Desk chair broken, bathtub didn’t drain, carpet smelled like pee, ac made a horrible noise (front desk said it was due to the heat) and the beds didn’t even have fitted sheets.
It screamed “yuck” but unfortunately we didn’t have any options to cancel and go anywhere else. I would never recommend this place or suggest it. I truly believe they are aware of these issues and just let the place go downhill.
If you want to shower in backed up bath water that is coming up from the drain, this is the place.
Stay away. I’ll never be back there.

We were forced to stay overnight in Phoenix due to missing our connecting flight. The staff couldn't have been sweeter - from the front desk to the shuttle bus driver. We asked for late check out and that wasn't conveyed to the housekeeper - who walked into our room even though the "do not disturb" sign was up. No knock, just open the door and announce "housekeeping." The pool was shut down in the morning due to maintenance and when it did reopen, the water was murky. This was a 110 degree day and we picked this hotel because the pool looked nice. We didn't have a car so the dining options were very limited. The restaurant in the hotel was open and the prices were reasonable and the food was good. The chef was very accommodating to our special requests. We ended up hanging out in the lobby for a few hours after check out before we headed back to the airport. The lobby was clean and comfortable.

This is a good place to stay on the way to the airport. I did not have breakfast, so I can't comment on that. Dinner was acceptable, nothing special but certainly fine. Pool was nice.

Loved that they offer free parking if you stay there and fly out of Sky Harbor…shuttle service was quick and very helpful.
Did NOT like that the tub didn’t drain properly, and you’re left standing in a tub of water as you shower.

Look at my pictures prior to booking
Let me start off by saying we have stayed at this hotel previously and had a great experience. This time, not so much. This hotel is in dire need of repair and cleaning. Our room had paint peeling off the ceiling, furniture beat up and scratch, someones hair was on the ceiling, hole from screws just to name a few. Then the outside.. WOW. The pool had so much crap fliating in the water that no one used it. The furniture in the court yard had tree debris and what appeared to be something similar to feces stain. The outdoor hallway roofs had debris handing down and holes as light fixtures comming out of the ceiling. When we spoke with the front desk they asked if we wanted to move rooms and I asked if I could see the room prior to making the decision. Well it was just as bad as the one we are in. I asked them to have someone clean our room. They said yes and then gave us 2 breakfast buffet to try to make up for the mess. Stained sheets, cratched up furniture, hair left behind, coud not use the pool, crap stained furniture, celing lights comming down, paint peeling from the bathroom ceiling, holes, debris hanging down just to name a few. I really like this hotel and have stayed multiple times here over the years. We flew out of Sky Harbor the day after staying here, and we’re able to park our car here for free while we were out of town. Friendly staff, very accommodating, and all the necessary amenities.

I liked that I could stay the night and get a shuttle to the airport the next morning, and leave my car there at the property for the week I was out of town and got a shuttle back to the property when I returned. Very convenient and less expensive than any other airport parking option!
What I did not like was the A/C in our room smelled like a wet dog.

The room was near the pool and the walls were pretty thin. There was a large group running around, playing loud music and gathering along the halls and the pool, so the night was pretty chaotic with noise.
