Used to be good, gone into disrepair.
TL;DR: used to stay here always - won’t be going back. Doors to the pool are broken and don’t close - a safety risk since little kids can simply walk in. The state of the doors shows they’ve been broken for a long time with no attempt to repair/replace. We needed a laundry facility and the dryer doesn’t start unless a staff member turns in on from a separate room (possibly a circuit breaker issue?) but regardless the dryer doesn’t put out heat so it’s a waste of money. Clothes comes out wet. Our door didn’t lock properly, the latch wouldn’t come back out the door. We discovered this and notified the front desk but they didn’t immediately fix it. We came back in the afternoon to find that after housekeeping came by, the door wasn’t properly closed and anyone could walk in. The atmosphere isn’t very welcoming. The lobby area is always closed with the lights off and the chairs up in the table. We wanted to eat some takeout and had to take the chairs down and eat in the dark while the hotel staff were laying down, shoes off, on the only little book with a couch in the entrance. Staff are reactive, not proactive. Pool towels always out, breakfast is mostly empty while they sit around. Public restroom by workout facility was filthy and never got cleaned over the course of our stay. Just bad. Find a different hotel.

The staff was very friendly and answered every question or issue that we had. The hotel does need some up grades as it is looking 'old'. We were not aware that the room would not be cleaned every day though.

The staff we interacted with were all really nice. There was ample parking and the pool/hot tub water was a comfortable temp. However, the hallway reeked in multiple places of weed. There was a nasty scum lining the whole pool and the hot tub entrance handle was damaged. Our room door lock was broken and we didn’t have a drain plug top on the sink.

Hotel need a lot of repairs especially breakfast area . Door on the breakfast area cabinets look like puppies chewed on it. On the ceiling was attached some pipe I believe was water because you can see water damage around it going down the walls windows are dirty. So could be some mold and isn’t healthy.So I stayed one night. It’s ok if you don’t have other choice but wasn’t worthy $150. They should charge less. I should take a picture.

Find a better place.
The place is run down. Bathtub needs replacement. Hall carpets filthy. Coffee was cold and the cappuccino machine dispensed mostly water. Windows hadn't been washed in several years. Knockout smell of chlorine upon entering the lobby.

It was advertised as a king sweet and it was not. I paid almost $180 for one night hoping it was going to be a nice room. We had a trip planned and the room was not what it was listed as. On top of it we got there and fou d out the pool and hot tub did not work. There should have been a notice email sent out. I will most likely use other travel sites in the future.

The pool area was very nice, and breakfast room also nice. The carpeting was not clean, and was worn and had burn marks. The round plate on our shower curtain rod was not attached to the wall, so the curtain would not stay closed and water was spraying out on the floor. The lighting sconces in the hallway were broken. There was no sink stopper in the sink. I have to rinse my contacts before putting them in, so they were at risk of going down the drain.

The pool was closed due to chlorine levels our first night. The staff were kind and polite and offered a cancellation and refund. We stayed due to no availability in the area for the weekend. The pool was open the second night, but probably should not have been. The kids all complained of their eyes hurting and throats sore during and after the swim. The room was ok. The bathtub barely drained, our duvet cover was still wet and had a musty smell to it and the room and our sheets had stains on it. It was not typical of AmericInn we have stayed in before and we were disappointed by the overall status of the room and hotel especially for the price of the room each night.

Our room had outlets that didn’t work properly and there was still trash on the floor from someone. Beds were not very comfortable either. Probably wouldn’t stay here again. Breakfast was about the only thing that was decent.

The room was neat and clean. The building is just old and could use some upgrades. The front desk gal was so very nice and pleasant. We needed a new hair dryer and she brought it up to us right away. Breakfast was excellent. Everything was very good, the building is just old.

Our room was very nice with excellent space. The pool area was good although it was disappointing that the mushroom in the kids area was not working. The staff was excellent as was the breakfast area! Excellent options and choices of breakfast foods. The location was convenient for our activities with easy access to parts of Fargo and major traffic routes. The internet network was having some troubles while we were there, but it was slowly processing information.

Ok experience. Room could have been cleaner- especially bath tub - looked dirty, maybe stained but not nice. Beds were comfortable. Pool looked very cloudy - need to check the chemicals, and kiddie pool was very cold. Breakfast buffet had ok selection but eggs rubbery.

I called 2 days before our stay to confirm my reservation. We we got there turns out we did not. Then I was told they had a computer update that somehow wiped out my reservation but no worries as they had actually checked me into my room before I got there so it was saved. Ok great. They give us a key and when I open the door there stands a little boy in his underwear with his family. I immediately close the door and head back to the desk…again carrying all our luggage. Then it takes another 15 minutes for them to give me another room with no working air conditioner. I wouldn’t stay at this hotel again if they paid me!

Over all an enjoyable stay.
We were having a staycation and this was the only place that had a water slide. the kids loved it but the door to the room stuck and the back entrance door stuck, helped a kid open her door and that seemed to stick as well. The carpet was dated looking, the only thing really "wrong" is that it doesn't seem like they have renovated in the past 10 years. But over all it was a nice place to stay.

Great service! my sister and our significant others stayed in a room together for a getaway from home and for my birthday! I loved how spacious and clean the room was for us and a toddler with! The pool was one of the best parts! There’s a nice water slide and kitty pool for toddlers!

Fine for a quick overnight
Our rooms were clean and nice, but it was noisy in the hallways and outside the hotel. Not the best environment - condoms and trash in the parking lot and questionable individuals that didn't seem to be guests lingering around the parking lot.
Breakfast was good and the pool was fun, a little small but there's a slide.

The room was not very clean at all .. the carpet had stains and the tub was very dirty! I scrubbed it before we could use it. The door would not close all the way unless we slammed it super hard. The staff was very nice at check in though!

DISGUSTING! HORRIBLE! Filthy dirty, carpets, furniture extremely worn. Mold on the wall in the bathroom. Stains on the floor. Opened sleeper sofa and mattress was soaked and extremely dirty. Packed up and left. Do NOT stay here. Room cost was $274 and definitely over priced. Worst hotel condition I have ever seen.

Room and pool are is quite run down.
Room always smelt muggy, door lock (one of them however door still locked)was broken and window didn’t lock. Advised one gentleman who said he was going to look for parts and fix the door and never heard back from him. The window could literally be opened from the outside, we jimmyrigged something so that it would stay shut.
Tub caulking was partially gone and moldy.
Pool is great and kids loved it however if you look up you will see plenty of black mold. The hot tub railing looks like it had a poor attempt at a fix and actually lifts off the ground.
A pro is the front staff (woman) was an absolute pleasure to speak to, very friendly.
Breakfast had several options and we were pleasantly surprised.
We had stayed here a few years ago and this time the condition of the place was disappointing, for similar priced hotels we will not staying here anymore.
We frequently travel and stay in all sorts of hotels, this is not by any means the worst however for the price point it is not good either and …seeing all that mold is definitely a dealbreaker.

Traveled there by bicycle. They were very accommodating. Coin Op dryer was broken, so they dried my wash for me. Nice pool. Convenient eats, shopping and bus route to downtown.

Value of hotel was good. 120 a night. Hotel room had a strong odor. Air conditioner didn’t run properly. Many items in room were broken. Lock on door, drain in faucet and shower, and light bulbs burnt out.

Very accomodating , freindly and were flexible. If you need a confortable place to stay near many ammenities i would recomment this hotel. The only area of improvement i would like to mention is that some ammenities such as the hot tub were not working and some maintannace was needed.

Computer might not let you stay.
We checked in very late (2am). When we got there the counter person said her computer wouldn’t let her “enter an amount”. She tried several times and said if it “doesn’t let her enter an amount we wouldn’t be able to stay”. We were severely drained and tired. I worked all day and then drove 4 hours and I had doubts that we would find another place at 2am. We were about to have to go sleep in the car when suddenly her computer did something and she allowed us to stay. It took about 20 minutes.

There was a bunch of water leaking from the ceiling in the lobby area and the floor was all wet. The room we stayed in smelled musty. The bathroom in our room was dirty around the tile on the floor.

I get staffing it’s low in hospitality but. The sheets were dirty, bathrooms just barely cleaned. The rooms smelled terrible. Maybe it was just our room. Idk. The hot tub rail was broken and if you tried to grab it it would move out of place. For a $132 for one night it’s disappointing.

The room details stated there was a pull out sofa - though the official bed portion only said 2 queens. There was no sofa at all. We received 2 bath towels for 5 guests. The toilet water was oddly cold causing the condensation to leak onto the floor. Pool towels were typically gone. Ceiling was leaking and droopy in the lobby/breakfast area. Breakfast items were gone. Parking lot was not cleared of snow. Worst of all, a young child at the pool wasn’t wearing a swimmer, pulled feces out of her suit with her hand, dropped it on the floor, and continued swimming. The front desk manager came and looked at it, came back in with rags and disinfectant, cleaned it up and then disinfected the metal stairs and railing to the water slide. Then he proceeded to tell us that it wasn’t feces but was a piece of wood, presumably so he didn’t have to deal with cleaning the pool.

My kids loved the pool. However, the pool was always out of towels, our room only had one towel, and the breakfast buffet was out of plates, forks, most food.... it took forever to get anything restocked. That was my major complaint.

Disgusting! This should not even be listed on Expedia! I have several photos of dirty bedspread and bathroom. So gross that we slept fully clothed!!! I just hope we don’t get fleas or bedbugs! Horrible part of town. I heard police helicopters looking for suspects!
Pool was so awful that I wouldn’t allow my daughter to swim in it and she didn’t want to step foot in it!
Bought slippers, just so we could take our shoes off !

Nice enough place. I understand saving money but when i walk into my suite late evening on a freezing night and heat off im not excited. At least have it set low. I run hot but finally went to bed bundled up to try to quit shivering.

The room was surface clean. The bedding was clean and the carpet had been vacuumed, but there were crumbs on the floor between the bed and the nightstand. There was a spot of dried toothpaste on the sink.
The room was quiet. The door was hard to open and close because it wasn’t on the frame completely straight. The coffee was literally cold at breakfast. The Nescafé machine put out hot liquid but the cafe mocha tasted like watered down hot chocolate. I would not stay here again.

Unfortunately the place did not meet normal standards. Check in was easy, but was told right away that the room keys were acting up. Our carpet in our room was stained and filthy. Our toilet was plugged before we even used it and when we called the desk they told my husband to come get a plunger and fix it! The pool doors were damaged. We won’t be staying there again.

The snow hadn’t been cleared out of the parking lot. Everything was just a little shabby. The sheets were on the bed inside out so the seams were sticking up. The throw blankets on the beds were absolutely disgusting. They were so stained and dirty I was tempted to throw them in the trash.

The 2 men, one at the time of check in and one during breakfast/checkout, encountered working this establishment were rude. The only woman communicating with seemed to try helping as much as possible and was apologetic. The details pertaining to the room did not match what was provided. Did enjoy the pool area and breakfast but needed to be tended to much more

At least the sheets were clean! Stains all over the floor and couch. Very dusty all over. They charged my card twice. When I called the guy said there’s nothing they can do and to contact Expedia. I did that, and Expedia took care of everything, even though it was on the hotel. So double check your accounts!!

Overall, the property was very dirty. Our room appeared to have not been cleaned. A pill was found on the floor, the beds had hair in them, the sink and mirror had what appeared to be toothpaste all over them. The carpeted floor felt sticky and the toilet did not flush properly. The pool had too strong of chlorine, to the effect of constant coughing, rashes, and puking. The baby pool was very cold, and the pool area was very dusty. The lobby did not appear welcoming, as all the tables had chairs stacked on them, except for breakfast time.

Nice stay for a last minute decision. Kids liked the pool. The lobby had a loud group of people when I checked in around 10:30pm. The receptionist and I couldn't hear anything we said. I heard the group when I was in my room well past midnight.

When checking in, there was no one at reception desk and when she came you would have thought that checking me in was an imposition. Gave me room keys and they didn’t work so had to go back to reception. Room hadn’t been vacuumed in awhile as there was paper and crumbs in between bed and nightstand. Carpet had pulled away from bathroom threshold with all kinds of strands of fibers hanging out. Sidewalks had not been shoveled so had to pull suitcase through snow and icy driveway. Needs some TLC.

Not vacuumed, check in uneasy. Would not approve Aflac discount with Expedia. Was staying for medical appointments and felt it was not very clean. Walls pealing paint, tub dirty, hair and crumbs in bedding.

Wifi was down for whole stay, i asked to when it would be fixed and front desk employee was non chalant about it. I asked if he could talk to manager about getting it fixed, he said i dont think that will help.
Sheets had stains on them too. Trashy hotel
