Underwhelmed and overpriced
Circa39 was just okay. It looked a lot nicer from the pictures. The heated pool was the best part. The restaurant was expensive for what it was. Rooms don’t have blackout curtains which I just do not understand at all. We had to switch rooms because our original room was right behind the kitchen and we were woken up at 6 am both days. They offer chairs and umbrellas, but you pay an additional fee for this. Personally, I would look elsewhere.

It was good. The room was nothing special but the pool was very nice and had a bar right next to it and they’d bring you drinks and food poolside. Walking distance to beach with chairs included. Bikes also on site. The restaurant was also cute with very good food. Would stay again.

The hotel is cute and comfy with the bar and fluffy couches adjacent to check-in. The pool is of a good size for a small property and is heated. The staff was very welcoming and friendly, in particular Gino and Paolo at registration and Hector at the bar. There was another guy who was friendly at check-in, but i didn't get his name. The room had a cool vibe and was functionally laid out. Lastly, the bed was comfy! This hotel is a great value with great people working within who care about their jobs and work to make a pleasant stay for the guests.

I liked the property very nice. My room
Was pretty but unfortunately. I tried to contact the front desk for days about the cockroaches we witnessed. They did not answer til I was home from
Vacation which was 5 days. They also only refunded me 100$ which they never cleaned my room and also never awnsered me about the roaches but charged me everyday for fees of house keeping which I never received. The manager never contacted me back I had to keep calling and then the front desk is the one who said that I was refunded a 100$ The parking is horrible because you have to pay for parking by the min and if you miss it by a minute the police gives you a ticket for 40$. So on top of paying for parking we had to pay tickets to the city cause at night it’s only a 3-5 hour paying period then you have to pay all over again. Meaning they want you to wake up mid night to restart your payment for parking. So it wasn’t such a good experience I wouldn’t book here again unless it was my last resort. Which is sad because it was very nice and very close to everything walking distance to the beach. If they refunded me at least the house keeping fee I would of not wrote this review but since they didn’t even respond with respect after me containing them everyday sorry but it’s only fair

Place was nice enough but had major issue with billing once I checked out with mysterious incorrect charges. They didn't provide me with my final folio and there were extra charges. Have tried to get a hold of accounting several times to no success. No callback or email. Just submitted disputes to my credit card.

We came off a cruise straight to the hotel. It is so beautiful with the plants everywhere, everything was white and sparkling clean. Bartender was great and the food was out of this world. Everyone was friendly. After the chaos of getting off the cruise, this was a wonderful, welcoming and very clean place to come to. I can’t stress how beautiful it is!

Very clean and beautifully decorated.Short distance to beach. Breakfast plentiful and delicious. Public transportation to and from airport is easy to take — running every half hour —— bus stop directly opposite the hotel —- route 150 — check internet. Highly recommended

A GREAT place to stay! Decorated well with a great aesthetic, convenient walkable location to CVS, Grocery, or liquor stores.

This place is super cute! Left kids at home for romantic getaway. Didn’t feel crowded or overwhelming. Cozy! The bed was comfortable and the pool nice and warm! There are iguanas around the pool that are entertaining. Hector the bartender was great! Beach chairs and umbrella included on the beach. Wouldn’t recommend family with kids. Kids would be bored.

It’s not safe, they don’t care about the wellbeing of the guest. The walls are thin noise from other rooms filters into my room and it was disturbing. The bed is also horrible

We enjoyed every minute!
We loved this modern century/Italian inspired hotel!! Staff was friendly and helpful!!! Rooms were super clean! Only thing missing in the room was a microwave, but has mini fridge, iron, blow dryer/iron board, hangers and beautiful orange/peach color robes! This hotel is great for couples! My fiancé and I enjoyed the outdoor patio area, and also the pool area! I’ll definitely recommend this hotel especially for couples!

Quaint boutique style hotel with restaurant bar and pool. The staff was amazing. Beach is right down the block and complimentary beach chair and umbrella is provided at the beach with your stay. 1 complimentary beverage per guest 21 and older.

Everything was really nice about this hotel until the day before we went home. I would have actually given 4 or 5 stars if the plumbing hadn’t gone south on us. We called the front desk and they asked us to change rooms, this was late in the evening and we we’re checking out the next day so we just asked for a plunger. We waited for it to show up and finally fell asleep when it didn’t come. We had to use the bathroom in the lobby area which was not fun in the middle of the night and early morning. I did try calling again in the morning but got no answer. I had to use the restroom so used the lobby and then got a plunger from the front desk. The toilet worked for a minute and quit again. We paid extra for a late check out and the receptionist said they would send someone up to fix the toilet while we were at the beach. We could tell someone had been there but it still didn’t work. Toilets are important and this was a major hassle.

I absolutely loved my stay at this boutique hotel. I've stayed at various boutiques throughout Miami Beach and this is by far my favorite. Its a chill little spot with lots with lots of picturesque areas. Restaurant and bar served delicious food and drink. You can walk across the street to the beach and grab a couple of sun chairs and an umbrella (price was included in the resort fee). CVS and beverage store in close walking distance. The area feels safe and a lot quieter than its neighboring South Beach. Easy to take a the bus/trolley up and down Collins Ave to reach the Northern side and South Beach.(ubering was also convenient and economical) Overall stay was amazing.

Great energy Great boutique place. My favorite go too when coming for business. They just need to give water bottles in room for free and tea bags not just coffee. More variety of food snacks, appetizers. Everything else is great!!!

This is the second time we have stayed at Circa 39. It’s a nice hotel with a good location. Unfortunately, this time we were eaten alive by bed bugs. The hotel wouldn’t take responsibility for it and their solution was to give us a free drink. We won’t be going back.

Great hotel for the value. The rooms were cute and clean, but the bathroom could use an update. The room was also super cool (great A/C and overhead fan) and for Miami Beach it was so quiet. The staff was great and helped with all questions and needs. Beach service was also a plus.

Loved this place. From the first day until the last. Nice pool and gym. Kind employees. Beach is 2 min walk. There’s a coffee shop and a 24hr CVS right near it. Only thing is that they should have smart TV you in the rooms.

Circa 39 is the diamond in Miami Beach. The perfect hotel for normal people, as opposed to the people who prefer the Ritz Carlton, Four Seasons, or The Betsy.
Pricing is good MB value. Hotel has beach access no different than a beach front hotel. Bar is fine. Rooms clean. Liv is 10 minute walking distance north, South Beach 5 minute Uber/Lift ride south.
A fabulous deli food and sandwich shop, Primo Cafe and Market, is next door north and an outstanding coffee shop, Crema to the south on 34 Street. The north south street is Collins. And for those basic necessities like toothpaste, CVS is two blocks north.
I recommend highly Circa 39
Of course for me acting on my recommendations will be problematic, I want Circa 39 all to myself.

Generally clean, well run hotel. It’s an old deco hotel that was refurbished a while back, so expect it to be a little time-worn. Still, for the money, it was good. Some limited dining on front porch, but a bit uneven for food quality. Nice lobby and bar. Pool is okay. One block walk to beach, where they have free umbrellas and lounge chairs, so it works out well. My room on the side street was quiet. Rooms in courtyard may be too noisy due to huge air-con.

The corner rooms are HUGE and have lots of windows. Lovely towels and bathrobes. Easy beach access, chairs and umbrellas available, too, at no charge. No hassle beach towel policy as well. Parking on side street in a small lot is the way to go using ParkMobile app. Daily rate beats hourly and you have in/out privs.

Property was in good location, public transportation, beach, pharmacy and dining options walkable in just few minutes.
Restaurant was very good and offered good options for breakfast, dining, snacks and drinks.
The rooms are a little bit small, we had two suitcases and therefore hadn’t much space to walk.

The property was clean, and in a great location to access the beach. The courtyard was a nice area with bikes and loungers. The only downfall was people could smoke in that area. The rooms were clean and modern. The beds were comfortable. The bathrooms were big enough to get ready in. They provided beach towels which was a plus & the restaurant on site was good. There is a pool with some loungers and cabanas which was a great way to spend an afternoon after a day at the beach. The property also provides bikes which can be rented per hour. overall great property for the price and location. It’s a very well Capt boutique hotel right on Miami Beach.

It’s an attractive property close to the beach the front desk staff was amazing the pool is very small. A worm like bug was found in my room the housekeeping manager(make) said it’s Florida as if I should expect to sleep with bugs considering this is my 9th stay in Miami I think not. I spoke with the hotel manager she made it right. The day after the bug issues I returned to my room at 4:30pm housekeeping had NOT cleaned my room. I was fed up I picked up clean towels from the front desk and put my DND sign on the door. I will never stay here again

The property was overall disappointing. Parking was atrocious and the room was dirty. Bugs all over the bathroom and the overall atmosphere was sad and depressing. Very expensive and the rules were strange. For example, we were not allowed our own drinks near the pool. Very weird. Would highly not recommend. The room had an odd odor too.

Well...we had booked this hotel as a "getaway" and it was really disappointing. While the colors are cute, that's sort of where it ended. We got to our room after a long flight and wanted to take a quick nap before a scheduled dinner. There was SAND in our bed! Within the sheets. So, clearly our bed had not been changed. We called down and told the desk and asked if someone could come up at 7:30pm after we left, and decided to sleep on top of the comforter for the 1 hour we had. 15 minutes later, someone knocks down the door, then takes another 20 minutes to change the bed. There goes our nap.
Additionally, the next morning, we had asked for late checkout at 11 (one of the "perks" listed by hotels.com for GOLD Members, and even though we had the DND hangtag on the doorknob, a maid was knocking at 9am, and didn't leave when I told her we were asleep - instead she barged in TWICE!!!
Finally, we were supposed to get 2 free drinks as a GOLD perk. This did not happen. We went to buy our own wine at a store across the street, and I asked the bartender for wine glasses - he said "We are only allowed to give you plastic ones" even though they had a full bar! We can't take wine glasses to our room? We are not teenagers.
Overall would NOT recommend and would definitely not go back. Very overpriced for what it is. An $80 resort fee on top of everything else - for what? Plastic wine glasses? No thanks!!!

The staff were excellent. Mid-beach location was very nice- access to good stretch of beach very easy. The room was not very clean. The whole hotel could use a makeover- old, worn carpet, mustiness. The workout room was in a small basement windowless room with crappy machines. Resort fee stinks. Overall, quite meh. Probably will want to explore somewhere else on next visit.

Pros: Property is beautiful. Convenient bar/restaurant with room service on site. You get access to high quality beachside lounge chairs/umbrellas (and someone sets it up for you). Robes and beach towels are high quality. You get a voucher to be able to use a bike, although we didn't actually get around to using ours.
Cons: Parking- you have to pay $54/day- I feel for the price of the room/property that this should be covered by the resort. Pool is smaller (but admittedly beautiful and well tended to) than it appears in the photos.
Another con- Requested late checkout a week prior to arrival and staff was kind of evasive about answering availability for this and not super polite the actual day of our need. We wanted this as we had a late flight out of MIA that day and wanted to be able to enjoy the beach and shower prior to dealing with the airport. We made it work- we just loaded our stuff in the trunk of our rental and just changed in their poolside bathroom- but I was still a bit disappointed in this, especially as we made the request in advance and were willing to pay.

This was our second stay at Circa 39, so you know we love it. We love the laid back vibe, funky room décor and ease of the property. The beach (across the street) is beautiful (with comfortable chaise lunges and umbrellas), the pool is small but nice. They added more lounge chairs around the pool, which was nice. We upgraded to a pool view king and the room was wonderful.
It's easy to grab the free Miami Beach Trolly to get up and down the beach (saves on Ubers). There are very good restaurants within walking distance. We love the outdoor restaurant at the Cadillac Hotel across the street for lunch and cocktails. We had a very intimate dinner at the very classy Los Fuegos. Our favorite dinner was at Byblos in South Beach.
Easy to rent Citi Bikes around the corner for a ride up and down the board walk.
Bed is super comfortable with nice sheets and pillows, everything was super clean. Blow dryer, ironing board, fridge all in the room. Looks exactly like the photos.

VIP means basically nothing
Hotels.com VIP means basically nothing at this property. I called about early check in and said it's based on availability and that they were fully booked (which was not true because rooms were available). The room became available AFTER the guaranteed time of 4pm, and i had to follow up on it a couple of times. At 4:15pm, she radio-ed housekeeping to ask about the room which I am all but certain she could have done before 4pm, but she didn't. Housekeeping just had to put in the system that the room was available - pretty ridiculous. I also asked about late check out and was told immediately with an attitude 'absolutely not because they were fully booked'. Note this was on a Wednesday and rooms were available. The room was ok and the bartenders were very nice, but the front desk attitude was very disappointing.
Summary - No early check in, No upgrade, No late check out. Yes to 2 comp drinks (not sure how they could have negated that) and yes to front desk attitude.

This hotel is very well kept but some of the staff are very rude and unwelcoming. I usually don’t leave reviews but it’s definitely not what I was expecting. Our room barely had any lighting and we couldn’t open the windows because it was facing the court yard on the 1st floor. You could also here the room next door and above very clearly so sometimes that was a lot of noise.

Great price and amenities and location!
We love this place, our friends stayed here also and we enjoyed drinks from the bar, hung out in the Wunder Garden together. Food At restaurant on site is good. Bar and food is all closed by 9:30 pm. Rooms are small, but space is pretty efficiently used, and it’s wonderful to get two beach chairs and an umbrella on the beach just one block away. Staff were all very nice too.

We had a nice room that appeared to have been recently renovated. Beds were comfortable and the hotel was very quiet at night.Staff were great (especially Paulo who was incredibly friendly and helpful). It’s a short 1 block walk to a beautiful beach where your chairs and umbrella are complimentary. The pool was crystal clear and heated to a comfortable temperature. I am so glad I chose this hotel

Expensive for what it is.
Loud AC that would start with a bang every 10 minutes or so, and the air was directed right on the head. I had to switch sides and sleep with my feet against the headboard and the head on the foot side, but that AC bang would wake me up every 10 minutes. I got a parking view for a $390 room, the room was worth $150 at best. The service was good and nice.

Booked a king room, was given a queen room with shower curtain instead of the glass wall shower shown in pics and a toilet that won’t flush. Window faces a parking garage a few feet away with lights on all night. Feels like a bait and switch.

Wrong bed type
Everything was very nice except they did not give us the King bed that we reserved. We were only there for two nights and they could not change for the first night so we opted not to move. They removed amenity fee from our room to compensate.
