Room wasn't properly cleaned up and restroom floor the maid did not mop at all. When I arrived I told that the room wasn't ready and I was okay with that so with that being said the maid should have took her time and cleaned up the room and not half do it. Also the guest room next to us they was very loud and kept us all night. Our room was 104 and through night they knocked on our door. They need security there wasn't comfortable after that it was my first time visiting Tallassee and staying over night. But in future if visit Tallassee again I would not stay at that hotel again.

Breakfast foods/items were limited in variety. However, the breakfast attendant was great, cleanliness was her top priority and she made sure there was fresh, hot coffee on hand.

Needs some work
Rooms were dreary, carpet needs deep cleaning or removed all together, no face clothes in bathroom, smells stuffy, shower head made this loud screeching noise the whole time I was in the shower, the bed was very comfortable though and good pillows

The floors in my room and bathroom were dirty. Thry looked like they werent swept in a while and needed to be mopped. I had 2 lamps that didnt work, and the tub looked like it could've been cleaned better. The room was not wortj the amount of money paid.

The location is perfect. Right across the street from the mall, Walgreens, CVS, as well as other shopping and restaurants are within walking distance.
The breakfast which was included was delicious!
I didn't like that check-in time was at 4:00pm., 3pm is the standard.

Don’t do it
This place needs to have a new health inspection. Everything was dirty, people were rude, loud and inconsiderate at 1 am. Walls are paper thin the outer doors are open so essentially anyone can enter. I am not snobby when it comes to somewhere to sleep for a night but this was awful.

Party all night.
Stay was good until the partying started which kept our family up for hours. Security apparently tried to quiet them down two times with no avail. Proceed with caution. If your looking for a good nights sleep, this is probably not the place for you

This was a very poor attempt at trying to update an out of date property. Housekeeping was abysmal room was NOT clean. Take a pass on choosing this hotel. Was disappointed because Wyndham properties usually are good.

Clean but needs tons of improvement
rooms are good but Security is terrible. The back doors that needed guest key were all unlocked and open to anyone! Elevators sounded like they were going to drop. Carpet on room halls stained and looked terrible. Room was OK but the bathroom looked as it had been designed as an afterthought. If you opened the door you couldn’t get into the shower impossible for two people to stand inside the bathroom at the same time!! Price isn’t in line with facilities.

The back door to the hotel was open 24 seven with less than desirable people going in and out of it all night long. My daughter was given a room that was not cleaned yet or returned at 7 PM. It was still dirty they had to get another room.

Dirty and in desperate need of a complete gut and remodel. The walls are so thin you can hear everything in the next room and sometimes several rooms away. Someone in the room next to me made a phone call and I heard both sides of the conversation.
I saw roaches several times including in the breakfast area. I was there at the end of the month and food was pretty scarce for breakfast. They get supplied the 1st of every month and sometimes they don't have enough to last the entire month. (According to the employee who told me this)
The only positive is the cost but you get what you pay for and these are the cheapest rooms in Tallahassee. I thought the Wyndham name meant something but this place in an embarrassment to the brand. The low cost also brings a low class of clientele. Dogs are welcome here but I would never let my dog walk somewhere as dirty as the hallways in this hotel.
At least they have armed security in the lobby every night but I have to wonder what makes this necessary.

I recently stayed at this hotel and found it to be satisfactory for a short business trip. While the accommodations were decent and the prices affordable, the location left much to be desired. If you're looking for a budget-friendly option for a brief stay, this place is suitable. However, for a family vacation, I would recommend exploring other options with better surroundings.

Front desk staff nice. Room was not clean and bed not made. No housekeeping on site to remedy. Very noisy guests plus barking dog. Left and checked into another hotel. Not convenient very frustrating experience! We had traveled far and it was late when we arrived. Not acceptable for a Wyndham hotel.

Our room was on the first floor by the laundry. the area was junky and the hallway carpet was worn and filthy. doors were open and we couldn't help but see all the junk. Our room was clean and didn't smell like the hallway.

When check in time arrival. I had to wait almost 30 minutes to check in at 4. The room they first assign the ac did not work then they assign a different room but the bathtub was never clean. The telephone in the room did not work had to used cellphone to call property to ask for an iron. They said they will bring it. Waited for an 1hour and 30 minutes nothing. Had to physically go to front desk to request an iron. The keys card kept working. Key card waslike everyday.

Awful Check-in Experience
There was one employee checking a huge line of people in. I had to get my keys made 3 times (and transferred to a different room) before they worked after an hour. Light switch by the room door didn’t turn anything on. 1/4 of a roll of toilet paper was provided.

The Wyndham Joke
I will never stay in another Wyndham hotel. My room was not cleaned in the 4 days I stayed there. The TV had a line down the middle and the info channel 25 did not give any info! With out any kind of channel selection info there is no way to find out what is playing. Absolutely no literature available on near by business or on the Wyndham Garden! In fact on requesting info we were told to look it up on our phone. There was no phone in the room. The bar/restaurant is closed!

Underwhelming
My stay was disappointing. There was no remote for the TV, so I got a remote from the front desk that did not work. I waited an hour for maintenance who determined it was the wrong remote for the TV, and he brought me the correct one. The phone in the room didn't work (to contact the front desk or housekeeping directly), and the restaurant was closed. The breakfast was OK, standard fare, eggs, bagels, bacon, etc. The toilet paper was loose and fell out and could not be reattached. There are better options out there.

I have stayed at better hotels for cheeper. This place has clearly had its fair share of issues. The front desk person was a pleasure when checking in, however, you could tell things were going askew with the hotel itself. She physically had to check to see if rooms were available before finding one vacant. It was explained that the hotel was going through some changes and the cleaning staff had all quit there positions the night before our stay. This doesn’t look good for the upper management as it shows that there staff is willing to quit due to poor conditions or quality of work environment. I would skip this place. It’s noisy and has all manner of people roaming around outside and through the halls.

Not what I expected
Arrived after nine and had to wait on a room. There were no wash clothes or towels in the room. I wore slides in the shower because it looked sketchy. The room was just gloomy.

Room never ready for check in
Unable to check in. Arrive at 6 p.m. and bedrooms were not clean, they suggested to go for dinner and come back. When back at 10 p.m. still room was not ready. Travelling 8 hours with parents 85+ years old I could not wait until bedroom was ready.

This property is branded a Wyndham…they need to STOP! OR Wyndham isn’t what I thought! Or Wyndham has allowed the use of its name w/o realizing the damage.
The staff is very kind and helpful. They are the only saving grace.
Yes, hotels have levels, but this is deceptive! A pardon our dust sign would’ve help provide some cover up. It needs serious TLC-sofas, carpets, A/C filters, ceilings, refrigerators, and even phone receivers need CLEANING. This was like a slap, if you were using the brand as a gauge to trust. I’ll never trust another Wyndham

First and last time. I stayed for 8 days, the air conditioning didn’t work and my room was not cleaned once. I asked the front desk 3 times to have my room cleaned and it was never done. I asked housekeeping for fresh towels which I never received. I had to go in freshly cleaned rooms that were left open to get fresh and clean sheets and towels. Cleanliness was average at best. Breakfast looked like cold plastic toy food. Definitely look elsewhere for a hotel in Tallahassee.

Day time staff is very rude, tried to check in early as I was not feeling well and I received a very blunt no. Came back at 4:30 and was told no rooms available again that she could find. Called someone and some rooms were opened for availability. The first room the sheets were dirty was placed in a room a few doors down. Later that night there was a lot of noise, yelling slamming doors a women and child crying tried to call the front office to complain and the phone in the room had no dial tone, so I had to use my cell phone to call. She called the police and finally they showed up and we were able to get some sleep. The hotel carpet/ rugs in the lobby and hallways were extremely dirty and the lobby chairs were dirty. Very disappointed in this hotel chain. Never had I stayed at this chain and had such a horrible experience. I will have to say that the evening person was much nicer than the day person.

The hotel smelled of fart, stale impure air, dirty carpet. The elevator door would not open upon reaching desired floor without pressing the open button. The first room we I had the air, lights or phone worked. I witnessed the staff take the garbage out of trash can with no glove and went into the kitchen.

I got fooled by the Wyndham name
I booked this one not because of price, but name recognition. Boy was I in for a surprise: It is a simple, dated, tired budget motel, not worthy being associated with the name Wyndham, unless they all are like this one. But in fairness, I assume most hotels in this category fit those adjectives.
Cons: General: Room not ready at 6PM, hallways filthy, one elevator down, and the one left looked and smelled like an old locker room. Unsure if they heat the pool at all, but it was not swimmable when I was there, but I am also a bit spoiled. Room: Somewhat clean bedding (did not dare to look closely), no sound proofing, you hear everything from next door unfiltered, no smoke detector (just wires).
Pros: Mattress and bed were quite OK, well, there was warm water and cable TV, basic furniture upgrades to meet presumably minimum franchise standards. The breakfast is just OK, juice machine, coffee, toast, bagels, some meats and omelets, bacon if you are early enough. If you are on budget, it will save money not having to go out for that, and the kids will eat it.
Staff tries to cope, but can only work with what they have, which seemingly is next to nothing. They try to put on a smile, but seem frustrated themselves.
If you are on a budget, you do not have that many choices, and I don't know how nice the other budget places are, but you will not find me here again. I will read more carefully next time and book one of the newer hotels.

Hotel was in poor shape. Hallways were nasty and dirty. Room refrigerator didn’t work and neither did the replacement. No microwave or coffee pot in the room. Hallways were noisy and doors were loud when closed. One elevator was out of order. Breakfast was disappointing and juice was sour. Will never stay at this hotel again.

What an ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE. DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL.
Upon my arrival, I was told that there was no hot water and it was being fixed. No problem, it was nighttime. Didn't turn on the lights and went straight to bed.
I woke up in the morning to find BLACK MOLD all over the room, the lights, the bed, and even better, TONS OF HAIR IN THE BED I JUST SLEPT IN.
I went straight to work, frustrated. Came back, and requested a new room which I was given. Awesome. Thinking that this was just a huge fluke and no issue at all.
The next room I go into, I throw my stuff down, and a MAN WALKED STRAIGHT INTO MY ROOM. The door latch stopped him thank god. The front desk gave him a key to my room but scared the hell out of me.
Then, as I get back up when the nice front desk lady told me that the keys have been reset and she was sorry, I went to go to get into bed...and I found...IT. See the photos. It was faint red, which it appears as blood underneath the sheet and MORE BLACK MOLD AND FECES.
Do yourself a favor, DO NOT COME HERE NO MATTER WHAT. THIS IS TWO DIFFERENT ROOMS WITH SCARY OUTCOMES.
I don't even know how this is a legally operated business without the repercussions. If you scroll back and look at all the other reviews, they haven't changed anything with management or even a shred of effort in fixing the place and it's problems. "We're sorry to hear about your stay and will address the issues." "We hope to see you again in the near future"....

Disappointing stay - Tallahassee
When looking to book hotels during our travels, I look for Wyndham as a brand that I would consider when making a reservation. Well Wyndham Garden Tallahassee Capitol just ruined the Wyndham name for me. Hallways were dark and dirty. Sections of carpet missing ( probably due to previous water damage) The room was ok. At least it was clean. Only a half roll of toilet paper and no refill in the room. Breakfast was poor. Eggs ok, potatoes undercooked and sausage patties warm but not browned.

If this hotel was ever a 4 star facility, then those days are gone. The door locks don’t work, the hallway floors are dirty or carpet ripped out. It took 3 tries to get a room key with me walking back and forth from Reception to the room, finally a new room was assigned. On the second morning, no hot water! And my room was not cleaned or towels changed for the entire stay over. When we asked for towels, a rude Cleaning lady barked “no stay overs”. When we asked what that meant, she fell silent and walked defiantly away. This place is 2 stars at best. The staff is defeated by the facility conditions. I will never stay here again and I may never book Wyndham again.

Very loud. You can hear every door close and every noise in the hallways. The road noise is bad too. The shower curtain rod was broken so the shower curtain would only close about a foot. When I went to check out not one was at counter. Another customer had been waiting. While he spoke to the hotel rep he was complaining about his experience as well.

This place needs to be condemned! The halls and parking lot are dirty. All landscaping,including trees, are dead. Closed restaurant in lobby. Junk pile visible in parking lot. If Wyndham doesn’t care about their brand then neither will I. It’s a crime they even stay open. It is just a rip-off! There is no confusion. I took photos.

I accidentally booked an assessable room when we got inside the smell was musty we called the front desk to see if we can change the room and they were very accommodatable and changed the room for us, the smell of the second room was a lot better but the AC cut off half way through the night and it took me being persistent in calling the front desk 6 plus times before someone picked up the phone, once again they were very accountable and let us move to a different room not too far where we were staying, overall the staff was very nice but the hotel as a whole is very disappointing the last time I went to this hotel was years ago and from my memory then I was 10x better oh have things have changed.

Disappointment personified
We didn't stay. Admittedly, I did not ask to see the room before I checked in (everything is mostly doable). But just turning to walk down a very dark, musty, run-down hallway I reluctantly opened the door to find the same dingy-ness that is in the hallway. We do NOT stay in crappy hotels and expect Hotels.com to cater to their upper level clients and check venues that are up to their own standards. We are very disappointed the manager has decided to NOT refund our money and this is the beginning of my campaign to regain the $119+. We expect Hotels.com to stand by their reputation and do the right thing.

My room was 332 and the check-in process was fine, although a late day for me having been on the road most of the day. My room only had one working light - in the bathroom. The bedside lamps and the tower lamp did not work. The alarm clock did not work. Not even sure the outlets had power - but did not check them. The unit did not have a working air conditioner or heater. Both the wall thermostat and the in-wall unit had no power to them. On Sunday, for my morning shower, the bathroom had only luke-warm water at best. My in-room mini fridge was actually a wine cooler from the store.

Reserved a king room….they overbooked those and I was given a queen room. Took it as there was no other option given.

It was a one night stay. The room was spacious and clean. Check-in and checkout were easy. That is about it for the positives.
The hallways were dirty, and appeared to not have been vacuumed for a couple of days. The ice maker was not working. They advertise a free breakfast, but at 8am, with very few people present, the chafing dishes were all empty, the remaining utensils were limited to only spoons, and the only offerings were bagels, muffins, and some fruit that looked to be well beyond ripe.
Not on the management, but the 4am "domestic" disturbance in the hallway (it may have been a 'by the hour' relationship) was not a welcome disruption.
Definitely would not reccomend. I've stayed at other chain hotels along Appalachee Parkway, and had none of these issues.

The entry was not lit and I drove by a couple of times before finding the entry off the frontage road. I was pleasantly surprised that the room was nice looking and comfortable. The counter staff was pleasant and welcoming- 5 stars! There was no hot water the night I arrived but there was hot water in the morning.
The biggest disappointment was the breakfast- ZERO Stars. The coffee pot so dirty it looked like it was drug thru a swamp. The waffle maker was unusable with a batter stuck inside the bottom and top as well as all over the unit. The orange juice was rancid and 2 of the chafing dishes were empty.

The Good
Great water pressure, plenty of hot water, sink and tub drain well. The room was clean and the staff were friendly. The hotel is pet friendly.
The Bad
The breakfast and coffee were awful. Very odd entry/lobby situation (different floors). Toilet is LOUD. Although room was very clean, there was blood on the bathroom wall. Only one working ice maker (on the 4th floor). No place to walk our dog.
The Ugly
The elevator broke on our last day. No fun carrying our bags up/down stairs. Homeless people and signs of drug use on grounds.

They do not support elected officials.
Would not let me check in. Not over 21 but I’m the youngest Mayor in the state of Florida. I’m old enough to be in charge of a city but not state at the Wyndham. I was at the capital to meet with our state representatives.
Hector was very rude and no matter what was said would not let me stay there.
What a huge inconvenience.

I enjoyed my stay at the Wyndham Garden. Hotel was easily accessible to main highway and close to mall and lots of dining options. Hotel was exceptionally clean and staff was really nice.
My only complaint is that breakfast was not available during my stay as the delivery truck didn’t arrive. It’s not the workers’ fault, but I was looking forward to that hot meal before hitting the road ☹️

So the first floor of the hotel has a roach problem. The rooms are old, raggedy, and when the cleaning staff came through and finished cleaning the room, it was still dirty. The staff messed up my booking and forced me out my dirty roach infested room and put me in a less dirty roach infested room. Also, the walls was so thin I can hear my the people in the neighboring room get they Big O off if you know what I mean. But don’t stay here, unless you don’t mind shaking your clothes and a raggedy room.

The bed is really comfortable…It’s very quiet & there are plenty of restaurants in the area…

Check in was fine. She was very nice. However it went down hill from there. There was black hair on the bathroom floor and mold on the ceiling. The room was not clean but we were too tired from traveling to request another room (not that we felt that it would help). The whole hotel was very dirty. All the furniture in the lobby was stained and unkept. The breakfast room was dirty, the food was limited. Even the juice machine had such watered down juice that it tasted like water and was almost clear.
Our hallway on level 2 smelled like marijuana the whole time we were there.
Then the next morning I went to iron my clothes but there was no iron. I called the front desk to be tired she would have to wait for housekeeping to come in and that there may not be any extras.I then went to the front desk to suggest getting an iron out of one of their empty rooms.
Long story short I was given several excuses. Finally another employee got involved and went and found one for me.
This stay was very disappointing. And we paid more for this room then the night before at the Sheraton.

This was a big trip for me because I was very excited that I was going to see Fsu final home game. When me and my wife arrived to the room immediately when we turned on the light in the bathroom there were 2 roaches on the door. My wife was very annoyed, so I killed them both. We went to the front desk, informed them about it and she was very understanding and offered to move us to another room. Been up since 6am it’s now 8pm tired drove 5hrs to get here . After much discussion my wife’s thoughts were if they are in 1 room the chances are they are in others as well so we decided to keep that room. We canceled the 2 night stay and only stayed the 1 night sleeping with one eye open and keeping 3 out of the 5 lights that was working on. So we had to check out at 11 and spent the next 6 hours spending more of my money that I didn’t plan on spending because my wife’s idea was we have 6 hours to kill hey baby let’s check out some of the stores here and see if they carry the same things we have at home . Then had to drive another 5 hours home after the game. Happy we won the game. Go Noles!
