Not worth it unless you get a really good deal
I feel giving this three stars is generous. The staff I encountered was young and inexperienced. My suite was tired and worn. Elevator wait times can be long and it’s like a maze — you check-in the lobby on the 1st floor are directed to go up to the 25th floor before taking another set of elevators down to your room. AKA’s room service and restaurant ends dining around 10pm on weeknights. If you want to go to the pool or locker room, it’s in a different building from the fitness facility. I won’t drop this amount of money here ever again when the Four Seasons is a few hundred feet away.

Checkin was a mess. Wrong keys and could not get credit card authorization to work even though American Express had approved which followed by keys not activating when got to room. Untrained staff.

Although there were many hiccups upon arriving at the property (overbooked and was sent to another hotel), AKA remedied the situation quickly and to my satisfaction.

Food - a secret gem!
Food absolutely amazing my goodness - the chicken shish was so juicy and soft, the breakfast sandwich had soft and fluffy bread that was to die for.

Great hotel and great staff. Room so clean and the front desk staff were very professional and always attend to your needs asap. My first time at the hotel was jan 12 through 14th andbi enjoy every big of it . I love the restaurant on the 25th floor. It added that touch of class and elegance to the hotel. I will be going back to miami for a stay at the AKA hotel . I also rate this hotel 10/10

Nice hotel - service can improve
We checked in only at 8pm (check-in time is 4pm) but at checkout when we requested them a slightly late checkout (as we had a late flight) they were quite uncooperative and were haggling over 30 mins (from 11:30am-12pm). Breakfast related service was also quite poor.
Other than that Rooms are nice and spacious. The hotel is clean and quite comfortable. The lounge area and the welcome drinks are a pleasant surprise.

Adrift Marr, fantastic rooftop restaurant with truly gourmet food at reasonable prices is a big winner! The service at reception was very friendly and efficient. Great Brickell location. I would recommend this hotel and will go back.

The staff at Lobby was not helpful terrible check in, we had to wait over 1 hour and half for the manager to finally check us in and his assistant couldn't do anything! The rooms are tiny for the price! we will

Watch out.., its not a full hotel with only one dysfunctional restaurant, they charge you excessive resort fees and they dont have pool or gym in same building where you have to go to a neighboring building, I was expecting an upgrade as its included in my booked package and hotel credit that they tried not to apply to my final bill till I asked them to confirm!! Couldn't sleep well on small beds !

The stay was impeccable, the hotel was beautiful, the valet parking team, Mario and Alex, were very friendly, cordial and fun. Aka Hotel is very lucky to have them.
Riki, the bartender was another gem we met, extremely polite and friendly. The charges for the “resort” seemed excessive to me, since the hotel pool is located in another building, which did not seem comfortable or in line with the qualities of a resort.

Underestimated hotel that pays attention to detail
This was my second stay at AKA, and both have been solo trips for work. The rooms are spacious, beds and pillows are comfortable, and I appreciate all the small touches (Nespresso espresso makers in-room, clothes brush, sewing kit, good quality toiletries, etc). Enjoyed meals at the Adrift Mare restaurant, which I think just opened recently, and is actually reasonably priced for the quality of the food and the Brickell area.
Between the proximity to our Miami office and the ease and comfort at the AKA, it will be my first choice for future trips as well.

Room was ok area around the hotel is nice but the elevator situation is extremely inconvenient, you have to take 1 elevator to the 25th floor and then walk and get another elevator to your floor. Wait for the elevator was more than 10 minutes at times. The restaurant food was not great.

Two of the three elevators that serviced the guest rooms were inoperative the entire time I was there.
I have post-chemo neuropathy in both of my legs and having to wait, at times, more than 10 minutes standing while waiting for the one working elevator was painful and distressing.
There weren't even chairs at one of the elevator stations to sit while you waited.

We truly enjoyed our stay at the AKA Brickell hotel. It was my anniversary weekend and I want to thx the entire staff for everything they did to make our day memorable. Thanks for our welcome gift!!! Such a great gesture. Also for having our room ready at 11:30 am upon request. I was blown away by the great hospitality we received for the entire team. I definitely recommend this hotel.

I ordered room service breakfast, it came wrong and incomplete, then kept waiting and didnt send it again (they took too long). When i came that same night housekeeping didn’t pass our room and was a desaster. They responded discounting my “destination fee” but still wasn’t so pleacent stay.
The woman who worked on the lobby, Dulce, was really nice and heleped us through.

Beautiful Stay
Hello, we stayed 2 nights at Brickell which we loved! The services and staff attentiveness were excellent. The hotel has been beautifully remodelated. Personnel members, Ntando and Oscar, had the kind gesture of offering an upgrade to a suite with stunning views. 💯 recommended. We will be staying at the hotel again next week.
