The room was very clean.Bathroom spotless. Everyone at front desk was so friendly and helpful. Allowed the use of large dining table, when we ordered pizza one evening, when there was 10 of us. Off the beaten path, no traffic noise. Just great place to stay.

Stay somewhere else!
We were greeted by an very unfriendly employee at the front desk. The rooms smelled absolutely awful when you first walked in. They offer a breakfast buffet but the trick is on you because it’s not actually free. The signs posted are so small that you don’t even see them until you already have a plate off food and ready to sit down. The buffet is definitely not worth what they are charging.

Meet some happy people!
What a pleasant desk clerk at check-in. Top floor last room in a loooong hallway. We laughed, y'all need one of those moving airport floors. Room was spotless and next time I'm taking the bed home with me. Thank you so much!

Problem with first room - door handle froze as we were loading in luggage. Husband on the outside, me on the inside. 1 person on duty at front desk. He came up and somehow opened the door. Moved us to new room.
I prepaid $14 per/ for breakfast - consisted of stale little danish, bread slices, small cereal boxes. 1 bottle of orange juice for everyone to self-serve from. Stacked cups for all drinks - husband picked up cup from the top and it was dirty! It was horrible.

Hotel good but no restaurant staff

Very nice hotel. Beautiful landscape all around. It’s very close to the highway, however I couldn’t hear a thing from inside the room. Room was very clean and staff was polite. The bed was a bit too hard for my taste and It was hard to fall sleep. Also we had free breakfast from a promotion at booking time and it was okay. Not that many options but everything I tried tasted good. Overall, it’s a nice place.

Room accommodations excellent. Unfortunately, due to lack of staffing the restaurant was closed and we had to travel a distance to find an eating establishment. This took us through some very dark and undeveloped areas.

Staff service and room insulation from outside noise was the worse. Heard every truck or car on the road while trying to get to sleep. Finally put ear plugs in to be able to cut down the noise to a manageable volume. Also front desk gave me a room by the elevator initially, when I asked to be moved they put me next to the highway. The next morning I asked for a receipt for the payment and they said I needed to contact the third party for that as they do not offer the receipts. I asked for a receipt for the $50 ‘hold’ they had me charge for incidentals when I checked in. When I checked out and asked for that receipt they said I needed to get it from the third party as well. Even though the hotel ran the hold on the card themselves. Apparently asking for receipts from the morning front desk person annoyed them as well and said that decision on giving receipts was up to management.I Would not recommend anyone staying at this hotel.

Renovated & quiet
Beautiful renovation! We will stay here each time we go to the Maple Festival. Quiet, clean, comfortable! The only issue (if you’d call it that even) was hotels.com as a third party not letting me know there was a $50 non refundable pet free. It just said pet friendly. This is an IHG policy that’s on their site if you book directly so just work that into your budget if bringing your pup! 🐾

Room was great except no hand towels at all. Great easy lication off highway. Plenty of RV space. “Breakfast” was horrible. Couldn’t even get a plate. Had to take back to room. Place is stuck in Covid times…Not hiring enough help.

Room next to the highway in an empty hotel
The hotel was fine, a little worn in some common areas, but the rooms were nice. What I did not understand was why we were placed in a room at the end of a long hall facing a busy highway (so we could hear the traffic all night) when the hotel was practically empty (about 12 cars in the parking lot). I would have asked to change rooms but had made a request for a feather-free room, so that would have taken more time and I didn’t realize how noisy it would be when trying to sleep. Were we given a room with a crappy location because we used hotels.com? I don’t know, but I doubt I will stay here again for that reason.

Clean and modern
Very new looking, clean hotel. Fairly close to JMU which is where we were visiting. Easy to get to. Modern looking interior and rooms. Easy check in with friendly staff.

Short staffed

I stayed there 3 nights and everything was or better than expected. Very good breakfast too. Only Issue I had was that one day they did not service my room. I hung something to not change sheets and towels but maybe they thought that means to not enter the room. But overall everything was good and excellent based on the price.

The hotel is really nice, the staff was great, but the room smelled of mildew and the room was humid and the sheets were damp because of the humidity. Aside from that the place was really nice. There was a grab and go breakfast but it was not anything that was very enticing.

Room was a nice size. Shower had excellent water pressure. The lighted mirror and toiletries were a great bonus. Bed and pillows were comfy. The room had a weird smell, but have stayed here few times and never had that problem

We picked this hotel because it was pet friendly and had a nice pool. When we arrived we all got ready and went to the pool only to find it was so cold we could not get in. Any colder and it probably would have frozen. It physically hurt to try and get in. When we asked at the desk we were told that the heater was broken. At no point was that told to us prior to check in or posted anywhere. We planned to stay here to take a break from driving for the night and to give our kids something fun to do while we rested. Not only that but there were ants all over our room. Which was disappointing because the rest of the hotel including the pool were very clean.

The hotel allows pets, which was very important to us. It was very clean and well maintained, and had a nice pet area just outside the front door.
The things I didn't like were probably all related to the pandemic, so not much to do about the restaurant/bar and pool all being closed.

Be careful! There are two Holiday Inn hotels in the town. One on the north side and one on the southside. We went to the wrong one at midnight! When I looked back at the reservation, I saw that Expedia did not send me an address. Was a bit off to the wrong foot but not the hotels fault.The staff was kind, hotel is convenient to highway, and room was fairly clean. Husband and I ended up sleeping in separate queen beds because both beds tilted towards the middle something fierce. It was just easier to sleep separately. Desperately need new beds. Not sure if it was just our room or the whole entire hotel.

Property was recently remolded and it shows. Rooms were clean and Frontend staff were exceptionally nice.
However, the one employee maintaining the front end was busy on the phone delicately assisting those customers while a line for Check-In patrons were building. Meanwhile another female employee, whom appeared to be some sort of supervisor, made no effort to assist the patrons waiting to Check-In.

Country Club Road and Fairway Lane could have better lighting leading in on onto the property.

The room they put us in smelled of mold and mildew, to the extent of being unbearable to spend even 5 minutes in it. They moved us to another room that was the same. The manager then promised to refund our room cost, and we left and went to another hotel 15 miles down the road for the night. We haven't seen any refund yet!
