We stayed in the building next to the highway and the noise was unbearable. I would definitely stay here again, just in the different building closer to the beach.

The foundations of this property are great. No frills but the beach cottages are adorable, paying for the ocean view is so worth it, it’s a quaint setting, walkable to a great breakfast spot (Midway Cafe), coffee shop (meet Lisa @ KONA coffee) & the Florida Key brewery among other things & the amazing heated pool ON the ocean!

Pines and Palms week....
I've stayed many times at this resort and loved it but this time was not so great. Lots of bugs in the pool, bartender seemed more interested in his phone instead of hotel guests. Main building was being fumigated and no one was told so guests parked wherever they felt like and didn't seem to care that they were blocking beach views and such and the new owners/new gm were no where in sight. Former owners and GM would always greet guests and ask how they were doing. Its just not the same resort. Very disappointing stay.

Like: location, location, location. On East side so Sunrises are amazing!!! Bikes kayaks included available to go. Nice live music. Comfy bed with lots of pillows. Ladies working in the office are very polite and willing to assist.
Did not like: upgrade your room, it's worth the cost!!! Our room #18 (2nd floor) was average. A bit outdated, bathroom is very small.

Got my own very nice Apartment with full kitchen and direct access to the ocean :)

I loved my stay at the Pines and Palms however. I distinctly had specific instructions about check in and check out and those needs were barely met. I had spoke to the same lady I booked with and was assured I would be accommodated upon arrival but had to wait almost a few
Hours. Aside from that, Simone was amazing and the place was super cozy and extremely quiet. The pool was relaxing but our stay was cut short due to weather. All in all it was a special trip that turned out well for us and I would go back. I would be completely transparent with my needs next time. Forcefully direct.

Stay was pleasant, office girls were very nice and allowed us to pre-check in prior to room being ready. Kayak and paddle boards being free to use was great for kids and pool was decent size. Overall was great, only negative was we booked a ocean view king room, the room we received was a stretch to be classified as "ocean view". If "ocean view" is important to you be sure to clarify before booking.

Super clean and nice rooms. And I’m picky! Love that the paddle boards are self serve. Feels like you have your own little keys house. I’m so happy I found this spot. Front desk was very nice too!

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Pines & Palms. The staff was friendly & helpful. The grounds were clean, well-kept & serene. My cottage was adorable & exactly what I needed for a quick, restful getaway. Highly recommend this property if you’re looking for a calm & peaceful stay in Islamorada!

What a hidden gem!
The young ladies in the office went above and beyond! A super relaxed, chill environment with kayaks, bikes and paddle boards accessible. A convenient location, could walk or bike to many great restaurants. We would definitely choose Pines and Palms again.

Loved location but dripping shower!
Would give it a higher rating if I had not read about a review about a dripping shower and then we got that room. So not fixed in room #22!!! Shower is a continuous dripping and gets floor wet in bathroom as well. Otherwise, lovely location near restaurants and right on water!

Our stay was okay. Water in shower was either very hot or cold and little to no water pressure which was disappointing when you are looking forward to a nice shower after a long day. Also shower pan filled up instantly and did not drain, had to keep turning water off while showering. Bad smell from the sargassum and wish hotel would clean it up so you could go kayaking. The location is nice and close to dining and shops.

We totally enjoyed our stay !!! What a wonderful place. Our room was right on the beach. It was nicely decorated and very clean. They supplied 2 bikes for every room and a weber grill if needed. Great pool and outdoor bar. Its been a long time since we've stayed at a place where we didn't leave and just hung out all day long. Can't say enough good things about it !!!!! Julissa, at the front desk, made our stay even better--Thank You

Quiet and peaceful
Whether you are looking for a quiet place to relax or a place that is within driving distance to activities of all levels the Pines & Palms Resort is the place to stay. Many places outside to sit under a palm tree, on the wharf by the water or by the pool. If you want to grill outside they have grills for you to use (you just supply the charcoal and steaks, burgers, hotdogs the menu is endless).
We will keep them on our list of places to return too.

We had a lovely stay at this quaint resort. Very clean and the staff was wonderful. My only comment was the size of the bathroom but fortunately very little time was spent there. We stayed in the Ocean View King Suite…..would one day love to be in one of the oceanfront cottages. Highly recommend staying here.

Gorgeous property however, our room was weird… TV was on the side so we had to turn our heads to the right to see it. Bathroom mirror was on the wall on the left side of the sink and you had to turn sideways to shave or fix hair. Walls were thin and we heard our neighbors clearly. Not the worst place but with improvements it could be great!

Nice place, very clean, take in account there's no beach, just a pool and docks. Staff is very attentive and kind, there's just a bar inside the facilities, no restaurant and nothing is close enough to go walking.

This place is a gem. The property is well kept, staff constantly maintaining and very friendly. Loved the free use of the double kayak. Saw manatees when we paddled out. The resort was quiet too. We will stay here again for sure!

Early Check-in Bummer
Didn’t start well as I spoke to a woman the night before who assured me I could do an early checki-in because the room wasn’t being used that night, so check in as early as you like. When we arrived I was told that we couldn’t because they had changed our room and that room wasn’t ready. Very disappointing to start a vacation. The property itself is very dated. It really needs some serious renovations in the rooms. The grounds though were in good shape. It was clean and the rest of the staff we came in contact with was very nice. Price wasn’t too bad. Convenient to many things to do.

We love the tropical cottage feel. Close to great dining, and marinas. The Boat ramp could use improvement for boaters. The pool has an incredible ocean view. We enjoyed the complimentary bicycles. We look forward to our next stay there. Overall we love staying here.

We have found Paradise ! We absolutely love Pines & Palms Resort from the Amazing Service at Check in to the Great room with everything you need to the Property it’s everything we where hoping for this was our 1st Trip to the keys we live in Weeki Wachee and this will be our New Vacation spot for years to come. We met Nick on the Property and he was Awesome told us Great places to Eat and all about some of the history around us. Thanks again for making our 1st to be many more to come ! 5 Stars all the way from Labbe’s keep up the Great Work

Magical!
Loved our magical cottage by the sea, where you step off your front porch right onto the sand! Great care has been taken with the charming quality and pristine landscaping, with a pool and bar just steps away on the property. Very comfortable king bed. The staff is very accommodating, offering free use of kayaks and bicycles. We had an efficiency with full kitchen - small and cozy, but needed more hooks on the walls for your towels & clothes since there was no closet in our unit. Great fishing from the pier. We had hoped for more than the tiny beach but realize that's just how it is on the Keys with so many mangroves growing right up to the water. Beautiful and tropical, loved the palm trees and the orchids growing on them. Can't wait to go back!

I love the resort but I advise not buying drinks unless Chris is bartending or you won't get your moneys worth and people were knocking on our door because they couldn't find their room....which meant the front office was not showing them where to go.....not a happy camper!

Paradise location
It was a traditional low key hotel in the keys. They have a beautiful location, easy check in, love music and a tiki bar. Great area restaurants to walk too! The room was clean and what we need to relax! The sunset on the bay side was amazing. The pool was nice.

Nice place, would stay again
The room was nice and comfortable, the only downside was the toilet is in a really small spot, the toilet paper was behind the door, it was a little difficult to close the door because of how small the bathroom is. Loved being able to use the kayaks but there was a lot of seaweed, luckily we had our water shoes. They give free champagne in the office, they have a happy hour at the bar. Would stay again.

Quiet and Friendly
If you want a quiet, relaxing place to stay, then this is it.
If you're wanting a sandy beach for swimming, then this is not it. Lots of brown sea algae on the water. The water is only about 3 feet deep for about 300 yards out, which is great for snorkeling and kayaking. They do offer free bikes and kayaks which is also a nice addition. Rooms are nice and clean. If you're expecting a Ritz Carlton, the keep looking. This was actually my 19 old kids favorite place to stay on the trip. Was able to see Manatees and Tarpon in the water while kayaking. Staff is very friendly. Would definitely consider staying here again.

My Happy Place
This is my ‘go-to’ when I’m in the Keys. The surrounding vegetation is beautiful, and the vibe is very low key and welcoming. Office staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. The rooms are clean, simple, and functional with service daily. We took advantage of the fishing equipment, SUPs, and bicycles which are all included in the resort fees. And the pool never closes. The nearby coffee shop is easily within walking distance and has great coffee and pastries. Can’t wait to go back.

Amazing Staff, beautiful views!
We were greeted with the contagious energy and hospitality of Cassandra and Natalie, who were so kind, helpful, and - to top it all off - fun! They gave us a printout (Front and back!) with restaurant recommendations in the area, but took the time to point out a few of their favorite hotspots, all of which did not disappoint! Our check-in was seamless, and our room was clean and spacious. The resort itself had a sandy beach area with lounge chairs under palm trees, Adirondack chairs at the end of each dock to enjoy the ocean views and a beautiful bar area by the pool. They provided pool towels, kayaks, paddleboards, and bikes that were included in our stay. While the room itself looked as if some recent updates were made (especially the bathroom), the furniture was a bit dated and wasn't very comfortable, but that is the only nit-picky detractor among a long list of positives! We immediately wished we had booked more time here, so we'll be back for sure!

This was our first stay at Pines & Palms, and we absolutely loved our trip. Our main objective was scuba diving, & we picked a dive shop one minute down the street. Everything we wanted was easily accessed from this perfect spot. We were able to dive in the morning, then take the drive down to Key West for a sunset cruise. The grounds were beautiful, and were raked every morning. Our room had a beautiful ocean view, close to the pool, which was never crowded. The drinks were always excellent from the bar next to the pool. Every staff member we encountered was so nice, and so welcoming from the moment we stepped foot on the property, which was always calm/quiet even though close to the highway. We talked with other guests, and found the majority are people who make Pines & Palms their regular vacation spot every year. The amenities are awesome- you can sign out a kayak, bike, fishing pole to use at no extra cost. There is someone there available to take you out fishing. If you catch something, you can have a grill brought to your cottage to cook out. Live entertainment some nights. Food options around are awesome. We ate breakfast every morning at the Midway Cafe, which is walking distance. We chose to take it back to our room so we could sit on our deck, and eat while watching our beautiful view every morning. Rooms are not opulent, but you get a cozy, beach cottage feel, which we loved, and we always felt safe. Can not say enough great things about this place!

Our cottage was lovely and had everything we needed. Nice lounge area, comfy bed and a kitchen, so we could self cater some of the time. The bathroom was on the small side. Nice pool area with a bar and live music some days. Within walking distance of some good restaurants
