This property was ok. It had all the necessary amenities and the suites are nice with the full size fridge and stove. However, the rooms can be a bit cleaner. The table in one of the rooms I stayed in (I had separate reservations and stayed twice on one trip) was still dirty from food after the last occupant. The bathrooms were not clean, as I noticed a layer of dust on the shelves as well as hair on the sink and floors. I did have an issue with my room, but it was promptly corrected by switching me to another room.

The place was outdated. Upon check in you have to fill out personal contact info and sign hotel policy. The room smells and hallway not clean.

Many extra fees, parking, early check in. They change like it’s a 5 star hotel but is near strip clubs and dispensary’s. Staff was overall good. Rooms have had renovations but were poorly done. Room had hole in a wall and very old (yellowed) appliances. Halls smelled strongly of marijuana. Would stay there again if there were no other options.

The bathroom had hair all in the shower and sink. Housekeeping could really do a better job at cleaning. No excuses for that!
The ceiling appeared to have a water leakage that had dried up and was stained yellow.

I didn't like the fact that the AC didn't work/heater did not work. Spoke to Sonia about getting me another room and she did not care. Saw 2 cockroaches in the suite. Did not even had a trashcan. Overall bad experience. Very disappointed

I went to the office to complain about a rag that was stuffed in the garbage disposal.. They said they could not help me until Monday. Because the maintenance man wasn't in. Didn't offer a new room or anything. Then they said the couldn't put my two days together so i had to redo the paperwork and get new keys and put down another deposit. I ask tgem to at least take a note that i didn't break the garbage Disposal although it still works

The manager for the graveyard shift was fantastic & informational.The room was so beautiful. It was like a studio apartment. Overall, I enjoyed my stay. I would most definitely stay at Sonesta again.

Very comfortable room with great amenities. Staff were courteous. I don’t recall seeing it advertised but there is a $5 per day parking fee. The gym also was not very clean and there were no wipes to clean equipment.

It served its purpose. I’m not a complainer, I didn’t like having to turn in towels to receive towels when there was a maids cart parked by my door most of the 1st night I was there, but I was honest and didn’t take from the cart and brought my towels downstairs. I’ve never had to do that before. I’m still waiting on my deposit to be returned, I was told o had to wait until the end of day totals were turned in or whatever. Smh

Clean rooms with ample space. Supplied for an extended short stay, much better suite cooking options vs. regular hotel.
Shower is nice and hot.
Facilities are overall a bit outdated. I didn't check out lobby, gym, or laundry but available if needed.

The property needs some serious upgrades. One of the entrances does work with the swipe card and the staff clearly know it but is going doing nothing to correct it. Part of the time it was flashing red. It was literally a hit or miss whether it would work. I had to replaced the doors keycard 3 times during my stay because they were deactivated so I wasn’t able to get into my room. Last but not least, I found a roach on the last day near the sink.

The place was fine for my needs, the refrigator was very loud! Room 113, and the pillows to big. I used a towel for a pillow and when I asked for another they said I had to trade it out. No coffee or filters in the room , so bring your own. Water was nice and hot, bed was comfortable.

Lack of service
It is a shame that hotels are still using the pandemic excuse for not servicing your room. I understand skipping a day or two. I was a guest for 6 days without service. I will be working one week a month in Phoenix, can assure you I will not be staying here.

The bathroom has pee stains on the floor, it was yellow. We used a handtowel to clean it. The AC was not working properly and ended up turning up around almost 2 am. The front desk said they couldnt switch the room. Someone came in the room while we were out and opened our bag and left it wide open. The key did not work on the second day had to get them switched, the laundry machine charged me twice and didnt want to work had to move my clothes to a different washer and paid for the third time will be cheking with my bank regarding these transactions. The dishes were dirty had to put them in the dish washer. I stayed here before and was very happy this time it was terrible. On top of that had to pay $5 per day for parking. What kind of s*** is this. Never had i have to pay parking in a hotel where im staying.

I really liked this property and all the extra amenities. I would have given it a better score except they charged me extra for parking which just seemed like a cash grab. There was plenty of space and completely unnecessary

I'll start with the positives for the hotel. Older lady in the front who works in the afternoon was extremely nice, polite, friendly, and overall a great woman. Excellent customer service, explained every detail, and even walked me over to the where the gym was. Check in took less than five minutes. Check out was the same. Extremely quick and simple. The night time girl said her system was updating so she wasnt able to give me a receipt but i will follow up in the morning. For the bad, Parking is $5/day unless you stay seven days or more then its a flat $5 fee. Housekeeping does not come and change your sheets. You are able to get fresh ones upon request though. Smelled like weed throughout the day. The pictures are not updated at all and lie to you. The room had a once over but it was just that. No deep cleaning. I will say the bed had fresh sheets though. Found no bugs which honestly i was very surprised because the place was old and just bad. There are some stuff going on. Dont bring your family here, dont bring kids, dont bring your spouse. Just dont bring yourself unless its a last option or you dont mind certain things going on around you. I will say, we were left alone and nothing crazy happened but its besy to pay extra and stay somewhere else.

Well placed property in area but has a few issues.
$5 per night parking but no security visible and parking lot was empty.
Communal corridors were not vacuumed in period of stay. Room was dusty and fridge and dish washer rusty.
Cheap for the area but I guess you get what you pay for!

The bed was comfortable, and the location was convenient to the freeway. The furniture was not clean. The clerk charged an extra $100 deposit upon check-in and wasn't able to reverse it without manager approval. I contacted the Asst Mgr by text and was told I would have to wait until after the holiday. I am still waiting for 1 of them to be refunded over 24 hrs later. Will probably never stay there again.

I like that i didn't get botherd,and they always check id for key.i dont like that i couldn't extend my my stay the day before my last day to avoiding to have to pay a 100$ deposit and 5$ a day parking fee.witch i dobt get back for over a month. Also the mades need to pull the beds back from the wall ,alot of trash between head bord and bed also a empty dr pepper bottle on side of end table. And hablood on sheets

Good: friendly staff, comfy bed and pillow, duvet instead of a nasty hotel bedspread, nice amenities, soap, shampoo etc
Bad: whew really needs a facelift. $5 parking fee was kind of a cash grab and not necessary for a suburban location. In fairness, it was waived when I objected.

I received am email asking me to upgrade to a 1 bedroom suite for $25 more dollars. I accepted and then got a reg room. Fans covers have dust hanging down out of them. Kitchen dtawrrs are in ill repair and all the chairs look like they were bought at a used store.

Suite provided sufficient dishes for meal prep. Gym and laundry facilities very convenient. Cleaning staff freshened our room halfway through our 11 night stay. Front Desk Alicia was very helpful and friendly. Hotel quiet and comfortable. Very happy with Sonesta Simply Suites. Have paid much more for a lot less!

The bathrooms were gross and not cleaned properly. The floors were dirty and look like they haven’t been cleaned in a century. Bed was squeaky and unstable. Alicia was amazing and made my stay worth staying

The hotel use to be my number one choice, but animals started to lodge and the place stinks of animals. The carpet all around, thehall ways, and even thefurniture to wait really smelled. The place needsabig upkeep and cleanse from animal stench. The service was great and the kitchen is top. The bed mattresswas too uncomfortable and the sheets, smelled so so. Overall, i was disappointed this time around.

The staff was amazingly kind, room and appliances were clean. Not all the dispensers in the shower were full, but I’d brought my own toiletries. My only complaint is that my room smelled like a cigarette the second I opened the door. I was too tired to care at the moment so I opened a window. When I came back at the end of the next day, the smell was just as bad. I did let staff know at checkout.

This was a nightmare of a place. The place smells, carpet is stained, outlets broken. The worst was the fact that the elevator was not working and the attitude of the front desk staff regarding the fact that although for 3 nights we were going up and down to the 3rd floor but checking out with a 40 IB luggage would be hard for most people let alone to someone with spine surgeries (one staff member was nicer than others, her name was Tina if I recall correctly).
The lady was beyond rude. aggressive, and insincere and of course not offering any help or alternatives (again on the day of our check out, Tina offered to send a staff to help) but the night before on November 16, the front desk staff was hostile and not friendly.
Also don’t think the place is cheap, they charged me $5 per day for parking and $40 for early check in.
They would totally Nickle and dime you but will not provide you with the services you paid for.
I don’t recommend this property, I discovered a Holiday in close by which will be my choice for my next trip.

It was a good value. Very nice for the price. Bed was comfy, water pressure was good. I had a studio and the kitchenette was very nice. Property itself needs a little TLC. Pool area small and in the parking lot area. I would stay there again. Good bang for the small buck.

The shower was coming off the wall. The bath faucet also has a gap where it was connected to the sink. In our first night, the carpet smelled bad. Thank goodness we left for a couple of days and on our last night it was already gone. There were very few bath towels in the bathroom. You have to return the soiled ones to get a replacement because they don’t offer daily housekeeping. The pillows were very flat and there were only two.

Uber took me to wrong sonesta made me walk to the other with the same name..hallway stunk! Couldn’t even get water to drink! Canceled my second night went to a better place.. seemed like a druggy area!

Pool wasn’t heated and this wasn’t on their site when booking and pool needed a good cleaning. They charged $5.00 a night for parking but half the lights on the lot were out. The rooms were okay but needed upgrades.

Overall nice place to stay and a good value. Everything was clean. Rooms are spacious and bed is very comfortable. All the appliances worked and you get a giant fridge.
Popcorn in the lobby was a nice touch!
Didn't like the hidden fee for parking!! Shouldn't have to pay parking in a non urban setting!

Dirty stained carpet. The room smelled from the carpet and the cleaning chemicals. Old furniture. Sloppy paint and repair work. No reason for charging $5 for parking. No security onsite and property didn't have secured fencing. I hope they give that money to housekeepers because they were working late. Front desk lady was polite. Overpriced for the comfort and condition of the room.

It needs a deep cleaning needs updated totally. No clock no pen no pad. The phone was so ancient. This is the most outdated not clean place I’ve ever came across in all my traveling days.
The mattress had coffee stains the room smelled old & mildewed. Amazing channels on the tv though. The air conditioning and heat were great. The location was in a decent part of town.

No lobby. Tried to charge early check in fee close to the check in time. They act weird about the towels. Front desk agreed to cancel and still charged. I had to dispute it with bank. I felt scammed.

Basic but good enough. Most Suites hotels offer breakfast, but this one doesn't. You can fix it yourself in your suite. I went to a Waffle House a short drive away. Bed was comfortable enough. The shower was OK, but the towel was minimal.

Beds are comfortable and rooms are very spacious. However the hotel hallways have a very warm and bad smell. Cleaning ladies are doing maintenence in order to get rooms ready because maintenence techs aren't preset. They were nice enough to change our room because the AC didnt work and the toilet was clogged but we found left over food in the room from previous person. I don't think a $5 parking charge is necessary when no one guarantees they are protecting our vehicle. This is not a resort.
