Breakfast was OK. Nothing special. I was lead to believe they had a hot tub by photos of property. It in fact doesn't. Staff was mostly friendly. Definitely would stay again though. Also indoor pool was heated

This could be a very nice property but the staff is unfriendly and complacent. We had to go to Home Depot to get clorox wipes and lysol because our bathroom was not at all clean.

This will be our go to hotel to and from Florida. Comfortable, clean, however, hallways had stains on carpets. The breakfast was very good and staff friendly.

The outside of the hotel was lit up so bright it pierced through the curtains in the room. Walking down the hallway of the hotel you were blinded if you looked out the window. Overall hotel had a smell like dirty and musky. Linens on beds were okay. Not as clean as most SpringHill Suites by Marriott that I had stayed at.

The HVAC didn’t work properly - wouldn’t cool. The eggs and coffee at breakfast were all gone. There was no staff around when trying to checkout - and a service staff member stepped in to help out.

Check in was pleasant enough. Lobby smelled horribly of chlorine. Pool was out of order. Elevator floors were very dirty. Hallway to room OK. Room clean. Toilet needed a swishing. Room smelled like a wet dog.

Nice, but disappointing
Nice hotel. Clean. Comfortable. Good breakfast and the ladies stocking the breakfast were amazing. The only issue we had was that we rented for a baseball tourney so the boys could swim in the indoor pool, but when we checked in, we were told the pool was closed. Very disappointing. The hotel should offer a partial refund or future credit for no access to the pool/amenities. It would be nice if the Hotels.com website listed thst as well.

The woman checking is on was lovely. The side entrance, by or car was broken and when we went around to get the elevator ,it was filthy, carpet the door and walls

Hotel was disgusting! Hotel was filthy, elevator looked like a crime scene with splatter over door and walls. Some places get worn down and need a refurb, that wasn’t the case here, it’s filthy! Booked because of high review score on Orbitz. I will never rely on Orbitz reviews again.

2-night stay. Lobby area not clean when I arrived, especially the carpet at the front desk and the tile in front of the elevators. First night, TV set didn't work. Next morning, shower diverter valve didn't work. Reported both to front desk. Fixed next day, but tub wasn't cleaned after repairs. Bed was not made and clean towels were not provided at the end of first full day. When I reported that, the response from the front desk was "did you request housekeeping today?" REALLY?, I have to request housekeeping? Morning of last day, the spill was still all over the tile in front of the elevators. I checked out and the front desk clerk asked "how was your stay?" My reply "not the best". Front desk clerk ignored my comment and replied: "do you want a printed receipt or an e-mailed one?" The ONLY bright spot from staff performance was the lady that takes care of breakfast buffet. She works hard and is pleasant. The rest of the staff needs to be trained. I expected better attentiveness and higher customer service motivation on a Marriott property. VERY disappointing.

Unfortunately the pool was out of order. We were told when we checked in that it should be fixed the next morning, but then in the morning we’re told it was a part they were waiting on and the pool would not be open. There were also very loud cars in the lot that woke our baby at 10pm. The bed was very hard and our door’s latch was broken. The breakfast was overly heated breakfast sandwiches in a bag. Just not a great stay overall.

One night stay in Florence
Check in was easy. There was a leak in the ceiling in the lobby. We had to get kleenex as the box in the room was empty. The bed was very comfortable. Nice continental breakfast.

Very dirty!!!
I never written a bad review, but I am prompted to write one for this hotel for two reasons: people be aware before booking, and hopefully the management does something about it, because it is a hotel with great potential.
This is the worst Marriot hotel, and the worst hotel we have ever stayed in.
THE GOOD
The location is great, parking is convenient, and the breakfast ladies were so sweet, accommodating, patient and hard working.
THE BAD
This hotel stinks. It is very dirty and if I were to describe the aroma of the room I would say that it was a mixture of sweat, urine and dirt. The white towels presented a shade of grey I felt I would get dirty if I touched them.
The bed was comfortable, but it was hard to feel the comfort of the bed, when the white bedsheets (in greyish hue from improper washing or the lack of it) smell so badly.
My child said: It does not feel right to wear pyjamas in bed, because they will get dirty.
The carpet needs a good, deep scrub.
Please do something about this hotel. We travel a lot (50+ days a year) and we love Marriot hotels and book them with confidence, but after visiting this one, we truly needed a “hotel-faith restoration”.

We stayed here to split up the drive from MA to FL. We love Florence because it is the perfect location and close to everything. We never stayed at this property, but we really enjoyed it. We made sure to get a hotel with a pool so our daughter could enjoy it after the long ride. The rooms were spacious and had a small kitchenette area which was great to cool drinks. The staff was super friendly. We will stay here again!

The staff was very nice and the room was in good condition and clean. The big disappointment for us was the pool. The water was stagnant, cloudy and had bugs floating in it (indoors). I did not allow my kids to get in.

The Showtime subscription offerred free to guest was not working. The jacuzzi was not working. The internet was not password secure. Tbe room we were given was located BETWEEN the ice machine and the elevator. It sounded like a semi was parked outside our window. The free breakfast uncluded a prepackage spinach and cheese quiche or prepackaged sausage sandwich with NO egg. I will not stay here again!

There was food in microwave and fridge, crumbs and food gunk on the table desk and on face Of microwave. There were hairs on the bed and sloppy made. Made me wonder if they were just remade quickly and sheets etc not changed between our stay and a previous guest. When I called the desk she said there was nothing she could do but maybe could find me cleaning supplies for me to clean the room myself. Pantry etc in lobby was bare and pool was out of order. In the morning, guests were asked to wait until 7 to help themselves to breakfast at 657am and the coffee was empty in the lobby but weren’t allowed to get coffee in the breakfast area. Unacceptable!

It took 25 minutes from the time we walked into the lobby until we got to our room. This was even though we had checked in online and needed only to show ID and be given our room keys. When we arrived the hotel lobby was crowded but there was only clerk handling check in.

The lady at the front desk was extremely kind and helpful, but we were sorely disappointed with the property. The floors needed vacuuming, the walls in the elevator needed wiping down, and there was a smell in the whole hotel. We were really looking forward to using the hot tub when we arrived, but it was blocked off with the ropes and caution tape. It was broken according to the lady at the front desk, but we felt like we should’ve been told this information upon our booking the trip. The soda machine was also out of order! The breakfast was nice and check out was easy. For the price of the reservation, the property was not up to our standards and was quite disappointing.

Almost had a roommate
Checked in, went to the room, and opened the door on someone already in the room and another one in the bathroom. Had to go back to the lobby, after being embarrassed and apologizing profusely, to ask for a new room. Hotel employee didn’t believe my “story” so he went and checked for himself and then came back saying I’d have to get a different room than the one I reserved bc they didn’t have any other rooms available.

Not worth it, pick a different place
We booked because it was a Marriott with a hot tub. You guessed it, hot tub is broken. The neighbors played horrible loud music until 1 am. The room is gross and Luke warm showers. This is not worth the money.

The "kitchen" included an old microwave, a fridge with an ice block so bit from not being cleaned that it couldn't be closed, no towels or napkins, and no dish soap because "the hotel doesn't provide that to guests". So much for a suite.

Needs to be cleaned better
We only stayed for one night. The lobby of the hotel was nice and the person who checked us in was great. The room was outdated and needs a good cleaning. We had a stained pillow and the shower was dirty and rusty. The people who checked us out were not friendly and barely spoke.

Ask for a room that doesn’t have a window out to the parking lot. Probably for safety and security they keep the parking lot well lit-like 4th of July. Even with room darkening shades it’s impossible to not have light coming into the room. Pool and spa not open for use. Otherwise the room and hotel were conveniently located and clean.

I updated ourncheck in time to 2pm on the app but upon arrival the front desk told us the room would not be ready until 3pm.

The overall property at the SpringHills Suites in Florence,SC was great overall. However, the bathtub in our bathroom was not thoroughly cleaned. Overall, the hotel was great.

Easy to find with our gps, several restaurants and stores nearby. We stayed one night and had no major issues.
The minor issue we had was the tub was caved in in the middle and quite slippery because of that not to mention standing in 4 inches of water puddling throughout the shower. Bottom line, at least that bathroom was in need of a new shower/tub. Beds were clean and comfortable. We bring our own pillows so no idea on them. An Affordable place to stay.

Pretty good stay
I had an over all good stay, very comfortable bed.The towel rack by the sink was broken and the doors to the rooms slam really hard and loud. It was noisy by my room. Breakfast was very nice and clean. I wasn’t happy with not having coffee available 24/7 as advertised. Location was very good. All the employees I encountered were nice and helpful. I would stay again, but I won’t get a room next to an exit. Tv didn’t work that good.
