We’re staying one night for a concert at the Filmore and I’m pleasantly surprised. The room is clean and has a small modest bathroom, but again, clean. The front desk staff have been very kind and accommodating. This hotel is directly in the middle of everything. You do not need a car here. The restaurants are so good and it reminds us of Manhattan. So many choices!! I would absolutely come back here again!!! Don’t listen to the haters!

One of the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. We rented a suite that was next to a noisy elevator. The room had no amenities. The running water was warm to hot. No restaurant, only a few tables where they would serve I don’t know what because we never went. it didn’t look like a place that I would eat in. The bar was dark, noisy with loud music and it was closed 2 of the 3 nights we stayed in. I called expedia to complaint and the hotel moved us to a penthouse that was much nicer and quiet. We checked out one night earlier even though it was paid for.

I enjoyed my brief stay here! Someone was always at the desk and the lobby door. My room was great, and with a great view. I also appreciate the complimentary drink upon arrival. The breakfast area was a bit small, and I was disappointed that the pool was closed. Overall, very good though!

I didn’t stay at the hotel. When I checked in and got the room, I didn’t put my bags down. I checked out immediately bc the room smelled like urine and was not clean. I felt very uncomfortable and not clean. I’m requesting a refund

Upon arrival as per a request made by another guest who convinced us to stay with them at this hotel we were upgraded to penthouse . The PENTHOUSE suite we got was non other that a KING size room 9which we paid for ) that was located on the 7th floor by admission of the manager MAXIMO as well, so no upgrade as far as l'm concerned! We go to use the toilet and there is a condom wrapper in the toilet bowl !Yes, a CONDOM wrapper! I should have taken a picture of it but I was so grossed out that I just flushed it down the toilet !When i told the front desk,the receptionists were sympathetic ,then Maximo came out,apologized ad brushed the whole thing off .At the end of the day we go to our PENTHOUSE room and go to shower and the water took forever to go down in the tub. At this time I wanted the front desk to know immediately what was happening so I go to pick up the phone in the room.DEAD,no dial tone,nothing!I could not shower because I was not going to stand in the water that was not draining even though my husband had showered so i went to bed. The next morning I showered then went to advise the front desk ad Maximo's response: Well the stopper needs to be lifted if you push it down it wont drain! NO IT WAS UP and this tie I took a picture to show him ! WE go back in the room later on , and the stopper is GONE! I guess we were not adult enough and were not believed. Again another thing he brushed off AND the phone was still not working, could have offered comp bfast but I paid

My stay was a nightmare, I booked 2 rooms,one for my self and one for my small kids and they want to place me on 7th floor and my kids on 5th floor,when i asked to cancel one of the rooms they said they can't, i will search legal help for a refund since its ilegal for then to want me to leave my kids in a diferent floor then me,
Be awere that they dont care about custumers and don't do anything to try to help out.

Very nice hotel although it is an older hotel, it waa still very cozy. Parking was a little inconvenient but okay. Location was great, everything is within walking distance. Service was good, they gave us everything we requested. The staff was nice but didn't return any greetings. We would say thank you but they wouldn't respond. It could be a regional thing so no big deal. Otherwise, very nice we enjoyed our stay.

Run don’t walk to the next spot.
No microwave available and the room didn’t have any heat they also put us in a handicap accessible room. The only thing good about it is the location is close to everything and the bar inside hotel is good.

The check-in process was easy, with excellent customer service. The lobby is gorgeous and a feast for the eyes. I booked a superior king suite and lucked out with an ocean view. The room wasn't cozy, but it was clean and comfortable, with lots of windows.
I wished there were more food options in the hotel, but there's a phenomenal vegan restaurant next door and CVS across the street for snacks.
My only complaints are minor. It's dark in the elevators and hallways. The quality of the TV was cheap, and they offered Direct TV with few options. I like to have viewing options and or rental options, and this was disappointing. It's a small detail, but it made a difference in the quality of my stay.

Was not a happy customer.
Where do I begin, the rooms are small & out dated, hallways look cheesy. We was woke up to loud construction noise, workers vacuuming in the hallway early in the morning, workers talking loud & singing. We did not have a microwave or mini fridge, not even a coffee maker. The only good thing about this hotel was the lobby looked decent & we enjoyed happy hour at the little bar in the hotel, other than that the drinks are over priced. It is walking distance to store’s & restaurants.

The location was great, close to everything. However the hotel is undergoing a lot of reservations so it’s no outside areas accessible. The pool is being remodeled as well. They offer beach chair and umbrella but it’s $32 a day. Prob would be a good gesture to offer those rentals free of charge while ur hotel is under construction and not able to offer any of ur outdoor amenities… Staff was super friendly… room was clean but not modern. I would stay again once remodeled

I would definitely recommend this place!
The staff was great accommodating and gracious. The art deco style of the hotel is well maintained, I was a bit disappointed about the pool ongoing reservations. Would have love to be told that was the case while booking so I could decide on another property as I love a pool side stay on hotels . Other than that

The property was very cleaned , and visually appealing. The staff was very helpful. I don’t have any complaints the rooms were clean. In addition , the only thing is I wish check in was earlier. I booked my room the night before and did not get an option to check in early that morning .

The AC was not working the first night. After I told front desk, he responded saying the AC was not working earlier and that it was fixed. After three different returns to the front desk and basically saying that this room is hot, the corridor outside is colder, they finally switched our rooms after midnight.
Overall, excellent location to beach and Lincoln road, however definitely need some upgrading.

It was a really cute boutique hotel. It was a very short walk to the ocean. It was walkable to nice restaurants and shopping. The beds were really comfy. The only disappointment was that the pool was being repaired so we couldn't use it. Our stay was less than 24 hours. I would definitely book there again.

The area was very good. Everything was right next to each other bars, clubs shopping, but the hotel smell like you at a funeral home. I did not like the smell of it at all. the lobby, the elevator smell like dirty wet clothes. coffee was free but if you are a tea drinker you have to pay for it not free. lol

I stayed for a couple days but the pool and surroundings were closed, the staff offered a chair on the beach for the inconvenience instead of a discount. Every time the guests upstairs were taking a shower there was a leak though the lamp on the ceiling in my bathroom and the water ruined some of my belongings. The staff were really nice and helpful. The area around the hotel is beautiful. The beach is only couple blocks away. Many options for shopping and restaurants.

The property over all needs a slight face lift and definitely need to get pool workin as far as location it couldn’t get any better a short walk to the beach and many restaurants and shopping area. They also have a section of the beach with complementary chairs and umbrellas which is a plus. Another thing I didn’t like was after requesting late check out they really told me it wasn’t available.

Classic old hotel, convenient location
Older hotel, with updated decor. Some minor annoyances. Although their web page mentions parking ("height restrictions for onsite parking"), there isn't any; you are directed to a lot across the street for $40, or a city garage for $20. There were supposed to be coupons for happy hour drinks, that weren't given to us at check-in; we were told about them at the bar off the lobby. And happy hour discounts were limited to a specific menu; all others were pricy. The lobby bar isn't linked to the hotel's payment system, so you can't charge to your room. Handicap accessible? Maybe once you are inside, but there's two short steps to get in the front door.

My room had an efficiency feel and I was very surprised that there was no coffee maker in the room. When I checked in, I was not informed of the hotel's amenities, so I'm not sure if there was coffee and tea set up in a communal space elsewhere.
The bed was comfortable and the water had good pressure and could get very hot. The walls and doors are VERY thin, which the hotel tells you in their listing. The walls are so thin that I though someone was in my room whenever they entered their closet! I also clearly heard the family down the hall having a humorous conversation in the hallway after 1am.
Still, the room was fine and the hotel is located in a great place feet away from Lincoln. If you are taking one of the Miami Bus Tours, this is a great location as it is right around the corner!

Albion hotel was booked due to the horrible condition of the original hotel that I booked.
Hotel was clean.
The only complaint that I have was the housekeeping did not give enough towels ( no face clothes ).
No complimentary breakfast. Hotel does offer free coffee and hot water but NO free tea bags, you have to pay $3.00 for a res bag!! Absolutely not!
Other than that - a very pleasant experience.

Good service, good location, have stayed here many times. Only negative, which was unusual for this hotel ) I have stayed here many times) was that every day housekeeping “missed something”…ie - taking washcloths and leaving none, taking cups and leaving none, etc. Small things, but irritating. Other than that, I would recommend this hotel and will stay there again in future.

Our room was relatively clean, but the property is not well maintained. Our sink was leaking and their was tons of water damage on the ceiling and walls. Parking is a block and a half away. At night, it is not a very safe walk. This place may be okay for couples, but I would not recomend it for families.

Asked to swap rooms adding a cleaning if possible. there was a newborn in the paper thin wall next to me going nuts. Got denied me said there was ‘extremely limited rooms’. Thats the service you are signing up for here
-room 220 shares a dining room with EVERYONE else. noise becomes too much at 7:45am with earplugs

The lobby is beautiful, the king sized bed was wonderful, and the hot water was amazing. But that is unfortunately where the greatness lies. The rooms look like apartments that were renovated to hotel rooms. Booked the Executive Suite. From the photos, I expected A LOT MORE. There was only 1 TV, which was in the bedroom, that was maybe a 27” TV - and that’s being generous, leaving the en-suite/living room area useless. Received an email from the hotel after booking that there was construction on site. What they don’t tell you is that the construction would be directly outside your window. The bathrooms are very small but served it’s purpose. I booked knowing the pool was closed - it’s January and not hot enough for us to swim. Our room faces the empty bare uncovered pool. One window had blue cellophane on it. It served its purposes, but if you’re judging by the pictures online, do yourself a favor and bypass this property.

This has to be the most disgusting hotel I have ever stayed at. The smell when you walk through the door, mould, cracked walls, dirty carpet, dirty shower and toilet, pool closed and I wasn't informed of this, the rudest staff I have ever met. I cant believe this hotel is on Expedia or anywhere. It should be closed down for health and safety. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!

Both the location and the staff are great. However the room is beyond dusty. The carpeted room trap the dust causing my wife and I to be constantly sneezing and coughing. We tried to stay out of the room as much as possible. When the ac was turned on at night, by halfway through the night we would both be sneezing and coughing. Every morning we woke up with severe conjestion. Definitely would not be visiting again unless these rooms are renovated.

For the money, this is a good hotel. Sadly we didn't realise that the pool was out of action during our stay, which was a disappointment as it wasn't clear via Expedia (but to be fair, the hotel did list it on their website). What I felt was a bit cheeky is that whilst they have a private beach, we still had to pay $32 for two chairs and an umbrella - particularly when there was no option to use their pool. I spoke to another provider who mentioned their hotel gives the chairs etc. free of charge to their guests, so it was a bit of a shame.
We were also offered 'upgrades' for our room - I think this may have been a larger bed, but I'm not sure. Unfortunately, we had very loud banging/construction work from about 8.30AM every morning, meaning sleeping in was just not possible. I know renovations are unavoidable, but the start time meant that this was really disruptive, with workmen walking past our window first thing - felt a little bit invasive so we had to keep the curtains shut the entire trip, making the room VERY dark (there aren't a lot of lights other than by the bed, so putting on makeup was a bit of a challenge sometimes unless doing it in the steamy bathroom!)
The staff were lovely however, super accommodating, and ultimately this was a good stay with the exception of a couple of disappointments.
