Very nice place, but plagued by technical glitches
This property delivered a quiet, safe, clean, convenient place to stay, with friendly staff, and normally that would be that. However, my two-night stay was plagued by two problems that were not resolved while I was there. The first was a problem receiving one TV channel, but that may have been a problem with the provider that affected other customers in the area. The other, and more serious, problem involved needlessly blowing cold air into my room when the heat wasn't on. The heat eventually came back on and restored a comfortable temperature, but the wildly yo-yoing temperature was quite noticeable. A technician looked at the heat pump and replaced a dirty air filter, but that evidently wasn't the real problem.

Room was very good. Loved that there was sitting room and the desk. The people were wonderful. We had an issue with our vehicle and the staff was extremely caring and got us back on the road in time for our meeting.

Meh, I would choose another hotel
The pictures on the website led me to believe this was a decent hotel to book, when In reality it was just a notch above motel status. It felt like we were staying in a motel 6 vs. a Marriott. It was definitely on the lower scale of all the Marriotts I've stayed at (my fiance is a gold member). However, it served it's purpose, as we were needing a place to sleep along our commute up the coast to visit family for the holidays. The staff were friendly for the most part, but we kept hearing banging on the wall from the room next to us throughout the night. We were so tired from driving, we tried to ignore it & get some sleep. Also, the hot water pump is most likely shared amongst all the rooms because my fiance took a 10-15 minute shower that next morning & noticed the water becoming cold before I could get a shower in myself. I took the quickest, coldest 3 minute shower I never intended on taking that morning. After we checked out & were packing up the car, we noticed a ton of garbage strewn along the parking lot & with an abandoned luggage carrier. It was pretty disappointing and I would personally choose not to come back to this hotel again, but if your expectations are low, you might be satisfied with bare minimum hotel quality & standards.

This hotel was wonderful and affordable. The room was spacious and had it's own thermostat (which I love it to be warm). I did not eat the breakfast because I already had breakfast plans but it looked like a variety of options when I walked by.

The stay was fine. The breakfast was great!The workers were wonderful replenishing the food. All the staff were very good.
The only issues were the following: no hangers, no hair dryer, and the heat was not working properly. It frequently blew out cold air even when the heat was set to a higher level.

The room was very dirty and rundown. I would have immediately checked-out and demanded a full refund if I wasn’t traveling with another person. You can request quite a few things except for a hair dryer. The shower water pressure was very good. The breakfast was good.

Home away from home
The staff has been so wonderful. Here with friends and it felt like home. Location is so convenient to shopping and restaurants as well as the Metro system. I have stayed here before and they continue to do upgrades and maintenance. It’s looking great and I will definitely stay here again

Oven to cook holiday turkey
I have enjoyed my stay here. I travel often and find the room very comfoting, clean, and where else can you find an oven to cook your holiday turkey in? Very nice layout and friendly staff.

Bull crap charges
Water ran constantly and the toilet overflowed and needed to request a plunger and one of the bedrooms stunk AND when I left they changed me for smoking and NO ONE SMOKED

Needs some TLC.
Overall, the hotel room was spacious and included everything we needed for our extended trip, plus it was quiet. However, the hotel is a bit rundown, the room had a weird smell, and the bathroom sink needed to be grouted. The breakfast was okay, but they served the same hot food everyday...no variety.

The room we stayed in was very quiet and spacious for 2. We had a queen with open couch and full kitchen. The check-in was disappointing since we unexpectedly had to pay $12.00 /day for parking in the hotel parking lot. The check-in staff was okay but extremely small/tight lobby area. Layout of hotel is odd with parking space limited and small. Our room was great. Bed and pillows were very comfy. No noise. Breakfast was much better than expected. I recommend this hotel but would suggest to somehow make it known up front that there is $12/day parking. I have never had to pay for parking at a hotel. I've stayed at NYC Hilton in a parking garage and did NOT get charged! I would expect a much better parking facility and space to be charged, so that was a big disappointment. But other than that, I would do it again.

Not worth the price
Impossible to reach anyone at the front desk before arriving at the hotel. I was patched through to an endless string of menus and eventually got someone who couldn’t help me. Entrance to the parking lot was difficulty to find in the dark, no lighted sign. Also, the parking lot was VERY dark. No lights at all. I would not have wanted to be out there alone. Check-in desk was tucked away in the corner, very messy (there was a half-eaten Dorito on the counter). Then immediately next to the desk was the storage room for linens and supplies that was left wide open. Just a lot of small things that added up to a less than appealing experience. Room was fine, nothing special. For the price, I would look elsewhere.

stay away if you value your safety
booked through hotels.com and even though I'm a Marriott member, Hotels.com had better rates. Instantly felt like I got treated differently at the desk because I booked through a third-party website than if I had booked as a Marriott member. My car was broken into as well as a couple of other cars, in the one night I stayed here. The management informed me that there are no cameras on the facility and that they have tried to get upper management to install them multiple times and they wont and that it was a "park at your own risk place. I was then told that I should just park in handicap spots after dark because "we don't enforce towing on those spots anyway." As a person with a disability that requires a handicap placard, this is absolutely the wrong answer and illegal! No wonder I couldn't find any parking in the handicap spots when I arrived! When I called the police to inform them of the break-in, they told me that it's not uncommon in this area and that I should rebook somewhere else! DO NOT STAY HERE!!!

While the location of the property was good for our trip, the service was horrible, and the furniture in the room was broken or severely worn. The couch in the living room had a hole in it, the office chair in the living room was broken, and the doorknob on the bedroom door was broken. Housekeeping was only offered once/week and when I called the front desk to request more towels no one answered.

I was in the town for an overnight stay and couldn’t have made a better choice. The proximity to Washington DC makes Springfield an excellent, budget-friendly choice. The hotel was clean, and the room was well maintained. The room had a full fledge kitchen which is not a regular amenity that you see in the hotels. I would recommend this for a getaway, business, or for any other reasons that may take you to D.C. and will necessitate your stay there.

Not bad you get what you pay for
The hotel was advertised with a pool but it had closed the weekend prior. The air conditioning in the room must have leaked because a large area underneath. It was soaking wet with a carpet.
The breakfast staff was very friendly and they did allow late check out.

My recent stay at (TOWNEPLACE SUITE) was an absolute nightmare due to the shocking lack of room service for a staggering five days. I am appalled by the level of negligence and disregard for basic guest needs that I encountered during my time at this establishment.
From the moment I checked in, it was clear that something was amiss. After three day, I realized that my room had not been attended to—no fresh towels, no made bed, and no replenished amenities. Assuming it was an oversight, I brought this to the attention of the hotel staff, hoping for a swift resolution. However, day after day went by, and my room remained untouched and unserviced.
On my second week staying again my room has been refreshment or clean for 5 days and I brought this attention of the hotel staff and I was told by stuff that the hotel doesn't provide any room service for 5 day. I was very shocked and disappointed to hear that from the front desk stuff.
The lack of room service resulted in an unacceptable living environment. The trash began to pile up, the bathroom turned into an unsanitary mess, and the overall cleanliness of the room deteriorated rapidly. It was not only uncomfortable but also unhygienic to endure these conditions for five consecutive days.
When I voiced my concerns to the front desk, the response was disheartening. The staff offered vague apologies and excuses, but failed to provide any real solutions or actions to rectify the situation. It was evident that my concerns were not

Very nice staff, breakfast choices limited, property needs updating and repairs; for example our shower had a big crack in the wall with caulk over. Rooms are nice and good for a family of four.

Not up to Marriott standards
This hotel doesn't come close to the levels of quality and detail that we have come to expect from a Marriott property. Parking is very limited. Rooms are small and terribly configured. Our huge TV was on top of a cabinet and couldn't be aligned to our bed so that we had a compromised view. Although we booked (and paid)for a queen room our bed was probably a double bed at best. Never again.

I like the fact that the grocery store was right across the street, made it easy to get groceries. What i disliked was that when i checked into my room, it was super hot, A/C broken. Switched to a new room. Although it was cool, Pillows had an awful smell, stains on towel, had to unclog toilet and noisy kids in the next room.

This hotel is not what I expected from a Marriott chain. I have stayed at other town place suites and they were clean and not run down. Here is what we saw:
1) painted peeling bathroom - mold
2) room advertised as two bed two bath , but it only had one bath
3) microwave and cabinets were falling off wall
4) the entire hotel was in disrepair - awful
5) I love dogs but it seemed this was more of pet hotel
6) furniture in room was falling apart
7) sreens on windows had holes
I could keep going but anyone reading this gets the point
Plus side: The staff were friendly and helpful BUT that doesn't help when you expect clean and comfortable. DO NOT STAY HERE. We would have left but were in town for funeral so no time. Marriott needs to tear this place down and start over - it was that bad. and it will make me hesitate to stay at another Marriott if this is how the company is letting things go.

I enjoyed my stay at the property and appreciated that everyone was friendly. Also the room was clean and it felt as if it was an extended stay. Another aspect I liked was the charging station in the breakfast dining area. I would definitely stay at the property again.

PROPERTY IS UNDER CONSTRUCTION, TINY POOL IS A JOKE! BREAKFAST... NO PLATES ONE DAY, NO MILK AT ALL 2 DAYS, NO CHOCOLATE MILK 4 DAYS, BACON ONE DAY , LASTED 2 HOURS, I NEVER GOT ANY, CEREAL WAS OUT 2 DAYS, COFFEE POTS WERE ALWAYS EMPTY, THEY WOULD RUN TO FILL THEM, BUT REALLY, HIRE SOME HELP, ELEVATOR KEEPS BREAKING DOWN, TRAPPING PEOPLE INSIDE, I JUST TOOK THE STAIRS MOSTLY TO PLAY IT SAFE! HANDICAPPED SPACES OUT FRONT OFTEN HAD NON HANDICAP PEOPLE IN THEM!

Clean, quiet room. Very spacious, which is important when traveling with lots of luggage. The maid service doesn't clean the room unless you call the front desk, which is fine for me, because I appreciate the extra privacy. Hotel is within walking distance of several restaurants and grocery stores, and the Springfield Mall is right down the street.

The property is under remodel, so there are temporary structures, missing carpet, walls being painted. The room seemed fine but a coffee maker wasn’t present and when asked if we could get one, they didn’t know where to get one. Minor but just one of the few annoyances.

Not what we expected
We did not enjoy our stay here as a family. It was loud, it smelled terrible. I know the hotel is pet friendly but please do something to get raid if the horrible smell on the carpets in the hallways. Most nights all we heard was loud barking. It was too late to switch to another hotel because of family but we will not be staying here again.

There were issues with rooms being available by the 3pm check in. Myself and the two patrons in front of me were informed that our rooms were not available, and there seemed to be some confusion between the front desk personnel and housekeeping. It just appeared unprofessional and embarrassing for Marriott.

I picked this hotel due to location and the option of having 2 separate bedrooms with a kitchen. That part was all good. However, for our 7 day stay we had no hot water for 4 of the 7 days. We had to take ice cold showers. When we asked about it there was no sense of urgency or alternatives offered (including discount). This impacted half of the hotel for 4 days in the winter. Ridiculous!

Checkin clerk was very friendly. Stay was ok. By “suite” we were expecting a bit of a separation between the living area/bedroom area but room was very tiny. When the sofa bed is pulled out the 2 beds are foot to foot with no space to walk between so we had to rearrange some. Kitchen was nice and had the essentials. Linens and pillows were not provided for the pullout bed even though we checked in as 4 people, also only given 2 bath towels for 4 people..my request for extra was awkwardly responded to but were provided. The pool was small and extremely dirty the whole time we were there so kids were disappointed. The stay wasn’t awful but we wouldn’t stay there again.

There was no soap, only one role of toilet paper for 11days, following our “once” room cleaning, there were no kitchen towels. There was no guide for tv channels.

It was a good hotel to stay
It was clean and conveniently located. I walked to Mike's for dinner and to Aldi for grocery. I also enjoyed jogging near the hotel. I had a very good stay.

Comfortable stay but some areas need attention
Breakfast was good and bed was comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful. Back door needs cleaning and motion sensor light doesn’t work, so it’s very dark. Spooky at night. No doggy poo bags in any of the stations, and there was dog poo lying around (outside).

Great location and surprisingly quiet even on the first floor even if it's located right next to a main road. Now to the things that need improvement: the bathroom sink was draining very slowly almost clogged; the carpet had a musty odor. No coffee for breakfast and the excuse was machine was down but there was not any effort placed in fixing that because I was there for 3 nights and no coffee available. Also, some of the breakfast dishes were out and the excuse was we don't have any more. If you serve breakfast, do it well

I like the location of the hotel. Even though the room looked aestheticaly pleasing, the tub basin looked poorly cleaned and looked like they had just repaired and left a lot of calking residue. For a marriot hotel, the utensils and kitchen area looked outdated. There also wasn't a hotel booklet with all of the amenities provide and provides tv stations or wifi code in it or local attractions or events going on for the weekend. Just a room to sleep in. Not worth the price of staying there.

It was OK for the price but I wouldn’t likely stay there again. The tiles in the shower were falling off the wall and there were ants all over the kitchen and bathroom. We were there for 5 nights and there was zero housecleaning in the rooms. If you left the garbage in the hallway they would collect it but wouldn’t even put a new trash bag in the garbage - just left it at the bottom of the garbage for me to put it. After a couple of days I asked if the room could be vacuumed and I was handed a vacuum….
Breakfast was OK but the eggs were not like any eggs I have ever had before. They were the consistency and appearance of very salty yellow cardboard. I don’t know if powdered eggs exist but that was what it kind of seemed like.

We stayed here because it offered a breakfast . When we got up at 7:30 am there was no coffee ready in lobby and the breakfast consisted of a packaged bear claw and a granola bar in a paper bag! We stayed at a Marriott Because of the superior amenities and was greatly disappointed !! This cannot be blamed on COVID precautions either !! Unacceptable !!

Terrible stay
Absolutely awful. The people were so loud above us every day all day. I mean the worse I’ve heard. The place snelled like weed during half of our stay. Also, this hotel lacked the little complimentary items such as a bag for used clothes, a nightstand clock, a full body sized mirror… small stuff but stuff that matters to me and stuff other hotels have always provided. Did I forget to say the bathroom didn’t seem to be all that clean. I think they did a rush job because when I called to see if I could check in early, they told me I was unable to bc the room wasn’t “ready”. Also that day I was told that I’d receive a text when my room was ready for check in and I got that text at 348p & check in is at 3. Luckily I didn’t arrive until after 4 because if I would have gotten there at 3 and they told me my room was not ready… I would have gotten my money back. Also the hotel name sign had letters that were out…breakfast was teas for a place like that… some staff members were helpful and friendly. I stated my concerns to the GM. She did what she could do. Overall I borderline hated my stay and even more mad that I wasted my $ here. I’m not one to do too many reviews but when I do… it’s for a reason. Never again.

Unfortunately, during my stay I didn’t feel safe to walk out of my room to get to my car and bise versa. Also, I was informed that people actually live here not just vacation or rent out rooms for a few days, that’s fine but I believe this might make it unsafe. I did ask management if there were surveillance cameras in the property or parking area and they said no. Which makes me question how much they don’t care about safety of their guests. Manager didn’t even want to talk to me in person when I brought up my concerns. Because of these reason I will not be coming back to this hotel.

Convenient location. Dunkin Donuts, bars, restaurants, 7-11, grocery store within short walking distance (right across the street). Mall and major highway is a short drive away. Location is safe.
Room was clean. Kitchen and dishes, pots, pans, toaster, utensils included. Stove, oven, microwave, diswasher in room. TV includes premium channels.
Free, hot breakfast available in the mornings. Not a bad selection. Coffee and tea available 24/7. Fitness room is 24 hours.
Front desk staff were friendly. Not exceptional, but friendly. Easy check in and check out.
The only negative is that they charge $10/night for parking.

Very helpful and friendly
Very helpful and friendly front desk staff. Masks were worn consistently, although the guests weren’t as good about them.

I would recommend it to everyone
