I felt like I stayed at a hotel from the 1950s. Definitely needs a major upgrade. The shower head was rusted and dirty. And the water went flying everywhere. The bathroom tiles were filthy and looked like they had mold. There were bugs flying around. The whole hotel had a really bad stench. Definitely not worth the money

The walls were paper thin. We could hear our neighbors. We called the front desk as the unit next to us was partying still at 1:30am. Not sure if anything was done as they were still at it at 2:30am. We had to have our fan on high to help block out some of the talking.
The room smelled like body oder. We had the sliding door open to try and air it out - but it didn't help.
The rugs needed a deep clean.
The best part was the morning breakfast lady. She was super friendly and made sure you had anything you needed.

This property had great staff. My room looked clean on initial inspection, however, when I found a presumably used tampon applicator on the floor of my room, that is when I was grossed out. There were lipstick ‘kiss’ marks all over the window. The bathroom was clean. The room aside from those things, was ok. Breakfast was not what you would expect. I don’t know if the hotel is having financial difficulties or what, but that’s the impression that the breakfast gives. I would not recommend this property.

Guest discrimination
When I went to check in they told us even though we had already paid and secured the room that we could not stay. I had just gotten released from getting 3 stents put in my heart. They said since it was not two consecutive days that we booked it would not be okay but I had to stay overnight in the hospital after my surgery. When we had previously talked with an employee who spoke to the manager and said we could stay the 2 days we booked. So we were blind sided at night time after I had been released from the hospital and we live out of town. We had to scramble to find a room to stay in that was not in this hotel ultimately making my healing process harder. On top of that the staff was incredibly rude and it looks like there is drug activity on the property. Overall worst hotel experience I’ve ever had and the worse discrimination I’ve ever faced.

This was a good location for us. We arrived about 7:45 pm, and the staff suggested restaurants that were still open. the check-in was quite efficient, and room was clean. The carpets are generally old and somewhat stained but did not have a bad odor.

I stayed here a couple years ago, and it went to downhill since then. Its dirty, noisy and dated. There was dried blood on the sheets. They have not maintained much. There are better options.

Beware!
The location is great and the rooms were very clean, only teo issues were staff and people getting drunk and screaming at 3:30 in the morning with no hotel staff willing to help calm the sotuation down.

We stayed 2 nights, this place doesn't have an attention to detail. the TV remote wouldn't go down, volume down didn't work, as well as the buttons 7, 8, & 9... when I called they said that's just how they work in every room! The bathroom flooded to the carpet because it was built wrong. The free morning breakfast was just not there, but there was a sign "sorry for the inconvenience". The pool area has a sign "Out of order, sorry for the inconvenience" and that was one of the main reasons to book this. The main determiner of how little they care for their customers is there was no water bottle refill, there wasn't even a drinking fountain. When I asked for a glass of water on checkout day when they were serving breakfast, the lady looked at me like I'd just stepped on a kitten, "We don't have water available here, you can purchase some at the front counter"... ALL and ALL a really bad hotel.

It was clean and seemed like the access to outsiders to parking lot was well maintained. Surrounding area is horrible. Coffee maker did not work and was not replaced after we asked for another, and breakfast closed before end time posted.

Could of been better.
Has to give $100 deposit that i won't see for about 2weeks. Should be offered as cash. Won't be referring. Also the area and people in lobby were questionable. Only 1 elevator.
Customer service was ok but could be better as i work in customer service. Wasn't told about anything the hotel offered or where it was located.

Man, this is in the middle of drug alley, prostitutes all outside and drug activity all around.
Staff was unfriendly, could tell they do not want to be there. Found a bed bug crawling on our balcony door, used condoms on the roof right under our balcony, cats living right below the balcony.. dirty floors, stay far far away

Breakfast was terrible. Bed was very soft almost to soft and my back ached because of it. Other than that it was a fine stay. Neighborhood was good, Hotel was clean, but out of date. Definitely under staffed.

At Checkin room smelled like cigarette smoke asked front desk for another room he was helpful. Next day the morning staff was rude and unhelpful. Very unprofessional. Exterior was very dirty it needs to be swept and washed to many cigarette buds on the floor and stains. Would not recommend this hotel

The service was good but they made a mistake while i was gone during the day and cleaned my room like i had checked out, not only did i not get all my stuff back but they offered me nothing in return for their mistake , it probably cost me a $100 in lost food and personal items

I liked the hotel okay, but my grandson thought it was unsafe. He did not want to go outside after we got in our room because he thought he saw some shady characters outside the hotel. It wasn't as clean and nice as some of the other places we stayed, but it was cheaper.

Staff was very friendly.
The hot tub was cold and there were non-guests staring over the wall into the pool. It all felt a bit sketchy at night.
The room was non-smoking and smelled of tobacco. There was a bottle of tobacco spit on the terrace. Not great.

Our stay was good for the price. We were going to a concert and wanted something inexpensive and quick to get to. It is in a fairly convenient location overall for the concerts at the Desert Diamond Arena.
They did run out of eggs by 8:45 and the breakfast area was out of coffee and cream as well. They did refill coffee and cream, but not the eggs. Get there very early for breakfast.
It was clean and the king-sized bed was comfortable overall. Also appreciated the fridge and microwave which is pretty standard in most rooms.
The toilet "ran" a long time after being flushed, so they need to reparit that as it made noise.

This place is a little sketchy, but was reasonable for the price. Definitely not a new-ish place but it was clean. They have a "bar" but it wasnt open, duhh. Better for solo travel than family.

I don't like how the only way in or out is through the front door and main lobby. The only way up and down is via the elevator. The stair exits only lead to emergency exits that sound an alarm when opened. The deposit is unacceptable especially when a credit card for "incidentals" was provided. The party we had to be awakened by; we should have been forewarned about, and accommodations where we would not have been subjected to experiencing and listening to that would have been appropriate. Can't even sleep in here because of the "night club" scene and bass. The towels are nasty and sandpaper hard. Found somebody's hair in the bed. I want a refund.

Very convenient, affordable and comfortable. The area is ok, we didn’t feel unsafe but made sure not to leave valuables in the car, like anywhere else. The front desk staff was very welcoming and kind! The room was good, the beds are comfortable, there wasn’t a bad smell. The only thing that needs attention is the shower, the grout is black in areas and it needs to be cleaned really good or replaced. We only stayed one night due to a flight issue, I probably wouldn’t stay there again because of the shower.

I always look forward to my 2 night stay at the Green Tree Hotel. You are always greeted by a member of the GREAT staff that also provide wonderful customer service 🙂 Housekeeping does a WONDERFUL job at cleaning! First thing you notice as you walk in room is the good smell of how clean it is 👍👍👍👍 Fresh clean towels always provided when needed. One thing that is important to me is how safe the area is and the hotel security makes sure if it. Security is always walking throughout the parking lot monitoring vehicles. Security staff is also seen walking throughout the hotel from the Lobby, pool area, stairways and the hallways. Green Tree Hotel staff keep up the GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE 🙂👍🙂👍🙂👍

Very sketchy area homeless people hanging out in parking lot. Security on site but in the building so your cars are not safe. And of course hotel isn’t liable for break ins. No breakfast apparently Phoenix hotels are still using Covid as a excuse to not serve food and save money.

I didn’t like the way the bartender who was working that day at the bar and grill treated us. She looked like she didn’t want to be working. Her demeanor said it all. Plus, the bar didn’t have the draft beers working or other things.

Property is definitely older than photos show. Bathroom had ceiling peeling and moldy shower. Reusable toiletry items were not wiped down in quite a while. Parking lot and road into hotel in horrible shape.

Great unless you want to hear a clunking AC
We checked in rather late, and the room smelled a bit like smoke. We advised the agent at the desk and told her since we got in late, we'd just stay to sleep but wanted to note it since it wasn't our doing. Fast forward to midnight, and the AC would let out a horrible screeching clunking sound intermittently. This would not stop no matter if we changed to auto, fan, or the temperature. I slept with bose ear buds over a pair of earplugs and still heard this! I counted sheep, tossed and turned (at least the bed and pillows were comfy), and gave up around 6am to journey back home 3 hours. The cost was reasonable, but the cost of my sleep and sanity cost a lot more. I did inform the agent upon check out and she did apologize, I am surprised that was all.

Not a half bad place to stay at for a few nights. The room I had was clean. The bed was comfy. Bathroom was clean. Towels were all in good condition and clean as well. Can’t find much to say bad about this place other than it being a bit dated looking. Overall I’d give it a 6/10. Stay here and you will be happy for the price you pay. I’d consider coming back in the future.

The staff was very friendly and kind. Bathroom in the room was kinda narrow. Door about it the toilet. But nothing bad. Neighborhood was alittle rough. But was close to freeway so that was nice for easy travel the next day :)

Went to a event at desert diamond arena and needed a low priced hotel it looked ok but out of date front desk was very nice and pleasant but surrounding area did not feel safe we were concerned for our car in the parking lot and lots of homeless and addicts in surrounding area would not walk around at night. Next time we will pay extra for a better location.

Great Night Stay
I always enjoy my time when I stay at the Green Tree Hotel the staff is always attentive staff always goes above and beyond to accommodate you during your stay. Housekeeping always available to freshen up bed linen's, bath towel the whole room in. Even after housekeeping hours staff at the check in counter will help you with anything you may need. Thank you!
