Always great!
We have stayed here many times over the years with our boys playing baseball in the St. Louis area. They’ve recently remodeled the entire third floor which is where we stayed. The new upgrades are modern and comfortable. We will always stay here if given the option.

The room was very warm. We had the AC in in the middle of December. Found out we were above the laundry room. The room was very dusty. It didn’t seem to have been cleaned or mopped before we arrived. We had an ant infestation that they had to come and clean and spray for. We were left a half roll of toilet paper when we arrived. Had to ask for a roll both days for 3 women.

I’d visited chesterfield for a concert at “The Factory.” Economical, close to the venue, and a little ways out of the city, it was a pleasant clean & quiet place to sleep.

The pool was out of order which was one of the main reasons we booked this hotel. Also, the bathroom had the strongest acidic scent that gave our party headaches.

Older property and was being renovated when we stayed. Was raining and couldn't park at the entrance for check-in because they had a lift parked there. Carpets and elevator somewhat dirty. Wet paint in the stairs. Room was OK except one of those with the sink outside the bathroom. Breakfast was good but should have been for the price. Location if headed west is good to avoid morning rush but there are cheaper properties down the road in Warrenton.

They are remodeling and need it. The A/C was good but the refrigerator and bathroom fan were very noisy. You could hear people walking above us all night. Not quiet at all.

There must be better options
I was awakened at 2:30 am by someone pounding loudly on a hotel room door close to my room. The pounding went on for a while and then I heard shouting that indicated that a woman was trying to get into a room, and was pounding on the wrong door. Then a hotel staff person arrived and said that they were going to call the police. The woman began pounding on a different door. This went on for 20 - 25 minutes. Eventually she either left or got into the room. The police never came. The room as find, but this hotel is old and there were lots of stains on things like the drapes and lamp shades. Breakfast was good. I would not stay there again.

This hotel should only be used as a last resort or if you are on a limited budget. This proerty needs a major updating. The room sink would not drain properly. The hot water runs out after 4-5 minutes during a shower. (that was fun) My room keys failed on day 2 and had to be reprogrammed. On the positive side, the staff was friendly and helpful.

Overall 4 stars and not 5 stars because the rooms have heating and cooling wall units not central ductwork. I heard the unit start and stop. I have heard noisier units though. This one was not horrible but soft on/off noisy. Walls are a bit thin. I heard my neighbors being a bit amorous the second morning. Otherwise very acceptable room where I needed just a place to sleep for two nights since I was gone most of the day.

I enjoyed myself and for the price it’s a good hotel. The room could use a deep clean and it clearly used to be a smoking room as it still smells. However everything was comfortable and worked for us.

Pool was great - clean and warmer than typical indoor pools. However, our room was not well cleaned: dirty washcloth hanging in the shower and empty/dirty coffee pod wrapper stuck to another wrapper. Beds and pillows were poor quality. Overall, average for a cheap stay.

My Opinion
Hotel was nice and clean and staff friendly and patient. However, bed in my room should have been updated because mattress was not comfortable at all and each morning I woke up achy and sore as a result. Plush pillowtop mattress with firm lower support would be a vast improvement.

Not quite Comfort Suites
Chose this hotel for the CS brand. But it was quite the CS quality I am used to. Particularly the bed. The breakfast was CS quality. The room had maintenance issues: slow drain and obnoxiously loud bathroom fan.

My Go-to When I'm in St. Louis
I usually stay here when I am in town. The place is very convenient to eateries and shops and very close to my daughter's school. On this trip, I was given a room on the first floor. The room was fairly clean. But the bathroom had stains on the tub and the toilet was not up to par. I'm not sure if it was cleaned properly before I got there. There are two things I really look at when I stay in a hotel - the cleanliness of the lobby (which was nice) and the cleanliness of the room including the bathroom (which was a miss). The bathroom in particular needed some minor renovations and clean-up.

Good stay, gone bad
Beginning of stay was great. Allowed to check in early since room was ready, as well as told we could extend check out by 1 hr. Upon entering/expecting room, there was left overs in the fridge from the previous guests. No real problem. As we left, I reported to desk just so they would be aware it had not been left by us. They were still there upon return. Still no real problem. As we passed desk that evening, i asked desk attendants what time breakfast was served. They replied, "6-10:00 am". All three of us heard, and I also repeated it back. The next am, we went down at 9:20 and breakfast was all but cleared! We were not happy. When inquired about, we were told that was wrong and 9:00 was when it was over. They were not at all anxious to make the situation any better. I know mistakes are made, but I was counting 3 adult meals included in my room rate. I wish they would have at least offered, packaged items to make the situation better, muffins, cereal, bagel and spread, etc. It would have went a long way in my willingness to come back, and recommend to others. Neither of which i will do now.

Staff was VERY nice and prompt. They also had free popcorn and lemonade in the lobby along with lemon water which was nice and different. This is an older hotel and they try to keep it clean. We had 2 room and had a few spiders in both rooms. Water pressure in the shower was decent. Breakfast was the typical biscuits and gravy, eggs, sausage, waffles and cereal/breads.

Hot tub in room is basically a bathtub with jets. And would be better to have some safety handles to get in and out. Used it once in week stay. And the hotel hot tub was not working. Breakfast was good and liked the separation of sink and shower areas and very roomy. Overall we had a good stay.

I know it's not the hotel's fault, but I was hoping for a restful night's sleep and instead was kept awake most of the night by ridiculous noise from the guests in the next room... yelling, kids running around slamming doors etc. I asked the front desk to intervene, but the noise continued until the middle of the night.

My room looked and smelled very clean, the staff was friendly, the location seemed very safe, the other people staying there were mostly families and--all in all--the hotel was adequate for all my needs. On the down side, it's an older hotel and could probably use a carpeting update (the hallways smelled like a gym locker). That said--it was what I needed & a great deal!

Not quiet.
There was a room next to ours with a sign that said "Staff Only". Our first night, there were people in that room making noise and being obnoxious past midnight. Don't know if they rented out this room or if it was actual employees.

Room was in poor condition, stains on sheets. Pool chlorine was so strong. Guests could not sit in the pool area for more than 15 mins without having to leave for fresh air. Had to prop open door to outside and pool door for ventilation. Kids eyes were hurting after a couple of minutes in the pool

Nice hotel/Needs a better breakfast
Ann, the front desk worker on the evening shift, was amazing. Had trouble with our ac. They tired to replace it 3 times and it did not work. They moved us to a different room and all was well. Friday breakfast was great and had a lot of selections. Selection on Sat and Sun was very limited on the breakfast bar. No biscuits and gravy either day and no french toast sticks on Sunday. Very disappointing.

Dirty and loud
The room was not properly cleaned. The refrigerator was dirty and freezer froze over. The bathroom was also neglected. There was mold in the ice bucket and also in the shower. It was very loud. We couldn’t wait to check out. I reported the issues to front desk but they weren’t that concerned.

Allen charges people fraudulently
We have stayed here many times for travel ball. Ann is very pleasant. Now we get to the manager with ten years experience, the one and only Mr Allen. I clicked pay at property. I get charged way too much for a “pre-authorization”. They didn’t check with card I wanted and charged me without my authorization. When I questioned Allen, he stated the $183 I was charged was for one night and I would be charged the full amount upon arrival. I told him I had stayed there many times previously with only one issue. He said tough luck basically. The $183 I was charged surpassed the one nights total and was a random amount. One time we stayed and paid in advance. They stated upon arrival that we hadn’t paid. Once we showed that we had the receipt and had in fact paid, they said oh ok. So watch your charges from this hotel and be cautious of the way management speaks to you. The beds aren’t very comfortable either. The hotel room has been fairly clean but we have seen bugs. We will never stay at this hotel again. Allen also hung up on me and called me a not so nice name. I wouldn’t let my worst enemy stay here and deal with Allen. Ann was VERY nice though.

Family and budget friendly
The hotel was much better what I expected for $100ish per night. The kids liked the complementary popcorn and the pool was well maintained. The room itself was older but perfectly comfortable for the price. There was a Wi-Fi extender in our room which helped a lot. The breakfast was enjoyed by all of us and had a good selection of hot and cold items. There was a $3.50 fee that wasn't collected at the time of our reservation and listed at check in as a fee for "complementary amenities" which is an oxymoron, but oh well. Overall I would recommend this hotel for families wanting a budget friendly place to stay.

Stayed here for a concert down the street since I live 4 hours away. Property was clean, loved that it had hot breakfast, liked that there was a pool as well although we didn’t use it. The front desk staff was friendly upon check in and check out.
The only issue I had was upon the morning of check out housekeeping kept knocking on the door every hour starting at 8 am before check out (which was at 11)when we were already packed and trying to sleep in until 10:30 since we didn’t get back from the concert till about 2 am. At 10 am, they knocked again and I didn’t have the chance to jump out of the bed in time before she opened the door. We checked out at about 10:45 so before check out at 11.
Not happy about that but overall it was a decent stay and would probably stay there again if I ever visit chesterfield again.

Main floor exit door didn’t lock or close properly. Not safe- anyone could walk into building.

Additional charges when checking in.
Honestly our stay was fine, the bathroom light didn’t want to turn off though. Also when we got there to check in I was told I had to pay additional money for “services and the pool”. She couldn’t explain it to me, no where when I booked the room did it say anything about having to pay additional money for a pool that we weren’t even using. The fact that the lady who checked me in couldn’t even explain it to me was aggravating.

The hotel breakfast was good and had lots of options and everything was clean and in good repair. The only complaint we had was the beds. They seemed very "worn in" and were not very comfortable so we didnt get much sleep course we are used to a harder mattress so if you are looking for a budget friendly hotel close to food and the mall and have a family this is the place to go. We had a good time!
