Needs a Renovation
This hotel is in desperate need of a renovation. Had to move to another room because my 20 year old tv didn’t work, the bed in my new room had a divot from thousands of people sleeping on it, the furniture just looked worn and in need of replacement. The people were great. But everything looks old and worn out.

Dip In the Bed
The Hilton Garden Inn Addison is a nice place to stay. The place is very clean and the service is very friendly. But if you stay in room 227 and sleep in the bed on the left, watch out for the big dip in the upper half of the mattress. Laying on my back with all of the pillows was sort of OK. But trying to sleep on my stomach, I felt like I was hanging off of a cliff. After switching to a more diagonal position, it felt a little better. The mattress needs to be flipped, rotated and/or REPLACED.
Also, the not included breakfast seemed a little expensive for what you are getting. At $14, the food seemed close to standard "included hotel fare". Go to IHOP a mile down the road for more choices at a lower cost.

We arrived to a room with no air conditioning. We thought it was just an overworked system so asked for a fan to assist in moving the air in the room. The fan helped but the AC never caught up. We had to have maintenance come in to reboot the compression in the system to get it operating. We had arrived early and although we had originally booked a King size bed with a Jacuzzi tub we were booked into a queen room with a standard bathroom. I understand that being part of a wedding group that you only alot so many rooms to their block available but why when we booked back in March were we down graded so much on checkin.

Focus on the little things
They were doing some renovations which are needed. It felt like I walked into 1995 in there. Would have liked to have seen some to-go breakfast options. There was nothing to grab and go. Water was hard to find and there were no great options to buy.

Not given appropriate room
I had requested a handicapped accessible room, and verified at check in that it was. Before we left for dinner, my daughter checked and said there was no shower bench, because with my disability i cannot stand more than a minute. I asked at the desk for a bench to be sent to my room, and the guy working said he would. When i finally got ready for bed, there was no bench. Then i noticed the toilet is not the height to be ADA compliant, there were no grab bars anywhere in the bathroom, and if i was using my wheelchair, it would not fit in the bathroom all the way. I could see the room is accessible for the visually impaired, but not for me with my physical disability. And i know the guy at the desk knew i was using a walker. Also, the beds are as hard as rocks. Both my 22 year old daughter and i agreed on that.

It was a nice hotel in a quiet neighborhood however the main reason for the stay was so our kids could swim and the adults could enjoy the hot tub. The pool was cold supposed to be heated which it clearly wasn't warm enough with it only being 22' degrees outside. Plus it definitely needed shocked the smell of chlorine was extremely strong. And the hot tub was not heated at all nor did the jets work. 😒 Very disappointing.

I paid for a jacuzzi tub and when I got there and used it the headrest was broken off and water sprayed everywhere and it was unusable. I told the front desk and they just said sorry. It's crap I paid for a jacuzzi and couldn't use it. The drain was also broken in the tub. I didn't get offered anything just got told sorry!

Good Hotel / Unfriendly Checkout
The hotel itself, I had no issues with. It was well kept and the room was clean. Check in went smoothly. The only issue I did have was with the young lady that was at the front desk when I checked out. First, my husband had gone downstairs 1 hour before checkout to ask a few questions. She didn't acknowledge him even though he was the only one standing in front of her. When my husband asked his questions, she responded with only 1 or 2 word answers. Then when we finally did check out no one was at the desk. We waited a few minutes and the same employee came out from the back, but seemed bothered like we had interrupted her. I handed her the key card and she said nothing. The other employees we interacted with were very polite. If you don't want to deal with people, then do not take a job in customer service working the front desk at a hotel.

Loved the location of the property. Very close to anything we needed. Was a little disappointed about a bar not on the property and it was advertised to have one. That would have been a great meeting location to wind down from being busy all day.

In town for just one night for business. The hot tub had way too much chlorine burning our eyes. The temperature in our room never went under 69° although it was set to 65°. We were on the second floor and there was an extremely bright light about 15 feet outside of our window which could still be seen with the curtain closed. All in all, the hotel was pretty clean, quiet, and the bed was comfortable.

The one thing not shared at check-in is that housekeeping has to be scheduled. Otherwise no one checks the room. The only notice was a 3" sticker 6 ft up one the mirror.
Even in these difficult times for staffing and COVID, an occupied room should probably be looked into to assure no accumulation of trash.
Staff was very willing to assist with any and all requests. They even reviewed my account to assure my rate was appropriate.

It was Quiet.
They advertised a restaurant and did not have one.
The Tub was very slippery and the only bar to hold was ill placed. My husband has vision problems and felt very insecure.

The room was very clean, a little on the small side but more than adequate foe what we needed. The staff were helpful and overall we enjoyed our stay. We were in Addison for a bowling tournament. It is a little far from everything but the taxi service was very good.

Everything was good until Saturday night after we had just gotten back into our room after being out all day. Then all of the power went off except for in the hallways which made us feel very uneasy. We wanted to check out but we fought through it because we had kids with us. I think the lights were out for about an hour and a half.

Stayed for a wedding, nice accommodations. Small lobby and available food/bar service limited. Not a lot of restaurants close by. Desk staff was professional and accommodating but not very friendly.

Customer is always wrong !.
I found their customer service to be mediocre at best. The night manager seemed upset over me booking two whipool suites through my rewards program. And he went to the extent of having us stand there for an hour while he verified my reservation. Also would like to express my dissatisfaction from beign charged 25$ cash for one room , and 25 $ debit twice for other room all in all everyone in business knows that no matter what the customer is always right . Well if you check inn to the holton in addison il you will soon find out that their motto is totally the opposite and the service they give is definitely not worth the stars given to them by merely beign part of Hilton.

Hotel is nice but i didn't get the room we reserved🙄. It was a king size with a pullout sofa and it says the room had a whirlpool tub. We got one king bed. Had ro request a cot for my 10 yr old. My 6 yr old slept with .e and husband in the king bed 😒

I arrived at 2:00 am (because of a late flight but I called ahead of time and let them know that I was arriving after check out). My parents and I walked into the lobby and was taken aback by the lack of greeting by the front/night desk receptionist. He simply stared at each one of us (without saying a word) until we reached the desk. At that point, he still didn't say anything until I said "we're here to check-in". Once he gave me the room key, I had to ask if the room came with breakfast to which he only replied "Yes" so I had to follow up and ask "When does breakfast open?" and then he answered at "10 on the weekends, 9 on the weekdays". Anyways, we go up the room and I see he gave us ONE bed with no fold out couch. (Mind you, we booked the room with 2 beds but we spoke to Violeta/FDA prior and she said "For the first night of reservation they can accommodate you for 1 King Bed and 1 Double Sofa Bed and for the remaining nights of reservation the property can accommodate you for 2 Double Beds." So I go back downstairs and I tell him why would you give us one bed when you know there's 3 of us? and He said "All the rooms are booked" and I said "Well, I ordered a room with a king bed and a double sofa bed" which he then said "We don't have those type of rooms at all in this hotel" (Okay, that means Violeta was lying or they have false advertisement online right?) Anyways, he said "There's a double room that's smoking" and I said "No" and he said "We can order a roll away bed

Flight delayed several hours and missed connection flight! Arrived at O’Hare at 11:00pm. Airport staff were not very helpful and there was a huge lineup to the information desk there. Wife booked the Hilton from hotels.com from Canada last minute. The transaction went through immediately and when I arrived shortly before midnight the staff were very helpful. They set me up without issues and even delivered a complimentary toothbrush to my room as mine was in a checked bag (it was supposed to be a short flight!)
Next morning, the staff were very helpful in packing me a breakfast (which the wife purchase as part of the hotel stay) and getting me a ride back to the airport!!
After an 18 hour travel day that should’ve been 7 hours... they really helped the situation by providing great service!

The beds were seriously uncomfortable, I feel like the turn style knob to make the bed softer or firmer did not work. The bed was extremely hard and uncomfortable. The sheets were stiff and the pillows were just plain AWFUL. There was a terrible smell in the hallway, which creeped into our room. It smelled like something died and was rotting away in the vents. When we entered the room, it was freezing because a window was left open, almost as if to air the room out...
The staff wasn't very friendly. There wasn't any friendliness - the encounter felt cold and stiff.. unwelcome even.

I believe this hotel is overpriced. The TV in my room was not working for two days until I asked to be changed to another room. I reported this immediately and the hotel personnel told me they had technical issues with the TV provider. I believe that hotels should not put guests in rooms that are not ready for them. Coffee maker was not working in room that I was moved in. This time I was promised a replacement coffee maker that never came.
Breakfast is not included but the quality of the food and coffee was good and the restaurant personnel was great.
They have a shuttle van that took me a couple of times where I needed to go in the vicinity. Again, great free service. Great, friendly driver.
My issue was with the room and the front desk personnel. The king bed was too soft but the queen was better in the second room.
Two of the front desk attendants did not do their work as expected. I had to go two days without television in order to be moved. A second attendant promised a replacement coffee maker that never came.
One last thing. I needed to provide my employer with a breakdown of room price per night and hotel taxes. The attendant read them back to me. Could not print them for me and he gave me wrong numbers. I had to call Orbitz support twice to obtain the correct breakdown emailed to me.
This experience is making me not want to use Orbitz during my next trip and think twice about Hilton Garden because of the high prices and weak points I just described above.

Front desk seemed unenthusiastic that we were there. People I was traveling with asked for a room close by, and they put us on the 2nd and 5th floor. Hotel was OK (it was clean, beds were comfortable) but it didn’t seem like a Hilton to me at all.

Comfortable and Friendly
I had a wonderful stay here! The staff was wonderful and pleasant, the room inviting and comfortable, and the best water pressure I've ever had. I know it sounds cheesy, but I love my shower, and too often the hotel showers are like standing in a gentle rain. Not so here. That alone will keep me coming back here every time I'm in the Chicago area.

Close to Highway should have kept driving

Great staff, noisiest room I’ve ever stayed in...
First off, huge props to the staff at this hotel. Staff at the front desk, serving food, and driving shuttle vans were all top-notch. Friendly considerate helpful. Building itself is a little bit dated, but the room was jut so noisy. I stayed three nights, the first night the main noises were the wind making the curtains knock on my window. The window just doesn’t close all the way. Second night we realize just how thin the walls are when we can hear every word people in the next room said – and then they turn on their TV until close to 1am. The third night There was a barking dog next door along with The blaring television. Management did come request that they keep it down (I could hear the conversation clearly!) Now, I did enjoy the fridge, microwave and coffee pot in my room. Adjustable bed hardness was awesome as well. the shuttle van will take you anywhere within five miles of the hotel free of charge and there are a lot of restaurants and some shopping that are easily accessible because of this.. and I enjoyed my conversations with the drivers. In hindsight, I should have requested a room change, but I was being lazy and didn’t do it. Thank-you to the staff!

when I checked in I was told the room I was charged for and paid up front with hotels.com was already in use and the desk gave me a cheaper room and said this is how it was if I did not book with the hotel directly - will I be refunded the difference

Great location!
Very convenient to where we needed to be. Couldn't hear interstate traffic, but then again, not sure if we would have noticed :-)
This hotel is a typical Hilton Garden Inn and my granddaughter thought she'd been here before since it looked like all the rest. My only negative comment is that the room was showing it's signs of wear. Cracked light switch plate and overall worn. Not scary, just not as shiny as it once was.
We'd stay here again since it was convenient and a reasonable price!

Very good hotel for business travelers
This is a very nice hotel. I stay here whenever I am in the area for business.
The rooms are quiet and if you are an HH member the internet is good. The breakfast is not free but the quality is much better than what others offer as free breakfast. Clean and well maintained, comfortable and quiet considering location just off rt395

Carpet needed cleaning very badly. First night I wore brand new white socks on my feet from the bathroom to my bed and found my socks were really dirty.
Bathroom needs skid strips in the tub and I fell.
Toilet needs to be maintained before customers enter the room.
One bedside lamp needs to be repaired, replaced, it was a constant turn on...light went out.
I had brunch with my guests and it was very good. Plus I received very pleasant service and the food again was wonderful for lunch the next day. The people at the counter were so very pleasant as well as the hired help. So pleasant greeting you with "Good Morning!"
I enjoyed its atmosphere.
